Everyone is at the Pokémon League Village, Ash hadn't spoken to Silver ever since he confronted him
"So, your Ash's father?" Mallow broke the silence
"Yes, who might you be?" Silver asked
"I'm Mallow, Ash's Girlfriend." Mallow said
"You're his girlfriend? I thought he would end up with Serena." Silver said surprisingly
"Who's Serena?" Mallow asked
"She's a girl I met at Professor Oak's Summer Camp when I was 5, she's from the Kalos Region." Ash said as he approached them
"Ash, is everything alright?" Lusamine asked
"My match was postponed due to an accident." Ash said
"Ash, I wanna talk to you." Silver said
"Not now, Dad" Ash said sternly "But you better answer this question; does Mom know you're here?"
"Well…" Silver said nervously
"You!" A voice yelled
Everyone looked & saw Delia & she had a very angry look
"Delia, how did you—?" Silver said shockingly
"I called & told her you were here, Silver." Lusamine said with a slight glare
"You have some nerve confronting your son like this!" Delia scolded
"Now Delia, calm down." Silver said nervously
"Calm down? You've been away from home & out of our lives for 5 years & you're telling me to calm down?!" Delia yelled
"5 years?" Brock repeated
"Silver's been out of my life ever since I was 5." Ash said as he started to leave
"Wait Ash, listen to me." Silver said
"Not now, I need to be alone." Ash said
"But Ash." Silver said
"Rargh!" Charizard said as he shot fire from his mouth at Silver's face
"Silver, do your son a favor & give him some space." Delia scolded as Ash left
"Tell us, Mr. Ketchum, why were you out of your son's life for 5 years?" Brock asked suspiciously
"The reason why I left is because I wanted to find my brother." Silver said
"So, that's it? You left your wife & kid just because you wanted to find your brother?" Gladion glared
*SMACK*
Everyone stood in shocked as Mallow had slapped Silver across their face
"Why?" Mallow seethed in anger "Why would you be out of your son's life to look for your brother?! Is your brother more important than your son?!"
"What? No, it's nothing like that?" Silver said
"Well, it sure looks like it! & it seems that you love your brother more than your son!" Delia shouted angrily
"Delia, stop, you're being irrational." Silver said
"Is she, Silver?" Lusamine glared "It's obvious that you put your brother above your own son, my husband never put anyone above our kids. At least Mohn was more of a father to Ash than you ever were for the past 5 years."
"…" Silver stood in silence
"You've made a big mistake in leaving your family to chase after your brother, Mr. Ketchum." Mallow said as she left with Lusamine, Lillie, & Gladion
Ash was at a lake skipping stones, then his regular Poipole came out of its Beast Ball
"Poipole." Poipole said
"Hey Poipole, I take it you know what happened." Ash said
"Poi." Poipole nodded
"I just don't get it, why would he bother to come back after 5 years?" Ash said
"Pole." Poipole said
"I just don't know what to do, Poipole." Ash said
"Poi." Poipole said before sensing something "Pole?"
"What is it?" Ash said
"Poipole." Poipole pointed
Ash looked & saw something from a distance by the lake, when he got closer he saw 4 injured jellyfish-like Pokémon, two were blue & the other two were pink.
"Who're those Pokémon?" Ash said as he pulled out his Pokédex
Frillish, the Floating Pokémon, With its thin, veil-like arms wrapped around the body of its opponent, it sinks to the ocean floor. They paralyze prey with poison, then drag them down to their lairs, five miles below the surface.
"Celestia, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out Celestia
"Daaaash." Celestia whinnied
"Heal Pulse." Ash said
Celestia pointed the tip of her horn towards the Frillish. She became surrounded in pink aura & released a pink pulse from her horn & healed them
"Frillish." The Frillish said as they woke up
"Hey Frillish, are you alright?" Ash said
"Frillish!" The Frillish said joyfully as they jumped into the lake & started playing
"Guess I'll take that as a yes." Ash smiled
"Hey Ash?" A voice said
Ash looked as saw Mallow, Lillie, Gladion, & Lusamine
"Oh, hey guys." Ash said
"Are you alright, sweetie?" Lusamine asked
"Not exactly, I'm just upset that my Dad returned after 5 years, I just don't know what to do." Ash said
"Ash, do you hate your dad?" Mallow asked
"Not necessarily." Ash said
"That's good, cause there's something I should tell you." Mallow said "Back when I was a little girl & this is after you & your mom went back to Kanto, my Mom was forced to return to the hospital, I grew sick of her numerous apologies about her condition yelled that I hated her, soon after, she passed away & I didn't get a chance to apologize to her."
"Mallow…" Ash said softly as he stared at her
"Listen Ash, you don't have to forgive your dad if you don't want to, but please don't make the same mistake I did." Mallow said
"Okay, I won't." Ash said
"Frillish Frillish." The first female Frillish said as she & her friends approached Ash
"Hey Frillish." Ash greeted
"Frillish." The Frillish said as they circled around Ash
"I think they like you, Ash." Mallow giggled
"You think so?" Ash asked
"Frillish." The Frillish said happily as they wrapped their arms around him
"Aww, that's so sweet." Mallow said
"Looks like you guys want to join me, right?" Ash said
"Frillish." The Frillish nodded
"Alright, since all of you are named Frillish, I'm gonna have to give you nicknames to avoid confusion." Ash said "So I'm gonna name you Ocean, River, Coral, & Rouge."
"Frillish!" The Frillish said with joy
"Go Poké Balls!" Ash said as he threw 4 Poké Balls at the Frillish & caught them

Suddenly Mallow was grabbed by a giant robotic arm
"Agh!" Mallow yelped
"Mallow!" Ash exclaimed
Everyone looked & saw a giant robot with an R on its forehead & a glass container on the center of its chest where Mallow was put.
"We're back!" Butch sang
"Team Rocket!" Ash glared.
"Listen her brat, we're not here to pick a fight." Cassidy said "We're here because the boss wants to see you."
"Well, you can forget it." Ash said "Poipole, use Poison Jab to break Mallow free."
"Poi." Poipole said as the middle needle on its head glowed purple & hit the glass, but it didn't do a thing
"Huh?" Ash said shockingly
"Ha! You can try that all you want, but the glass is bulletproof." Butch taunted
"Then we'll try Iron Tail." Ash said. Poipole's tail glowed white & hit the glass which did nothing either
"This is a waste of time, now buzz off." Cassidy said in annoyance as the robot swatted Poipole away
"Poipole!" Ash exclaimed as he caught Poipole "Are you okay?"
"Poipole." Poipole said
"We'll ask you one more time, kid." Butch said "Come with us."
"Guess we have no choice." Ash said
"Poi." Poipole said as it flew out of Ash's arms
"Poipole, wait." Ash called out
"Pooooooooole!" Poipole said as a ball of multicolored energy in front of the middle needle on its head
"Poipole." Ash said in awe as he pulled out his Pokédex

"POIPOOOOOOLE!" Poipole said as it glowed bluish white
"Poipole's evolving." Gladion said
Poipole evolved into a big purple draconic insectoid-like Pokémon.
"Naga!" It roared as Ash pulled out his Pokédex
Naganadel, the Poison Pin Pokémon, & the evolved form of Poipole. One kind of Ultra Beast, it fires a glowing, venomous liquid from its needles. This liquid is also immensely adhesive.

"Alright, Naganadel, use Dragon Pulse." Ash said. Naganadel fired a multicolored dragon-shaped beam of energy & hit the robot which caused it to explode
When the smoke cleared, the the robot was in pieces & Mallow was nowhere to be found
"Where did they go?" Ash said
"Up here!" A voice called out
They looked up & saw Cassidy & Butch flying with jet packs while Butch was holding Mallow in his left arm
"We tried to do this peacefully, kid." Cassidy said "but you leave us no choice."
"If you want your girlfriend back, you're gonna have to follow us." Butch said "The Boss isn't a patient man."
"Alright, fine, I'll go." Ash said
"Great." Cassidy said
"See ya there." Butch said as he & Cassidy flew away
"Ash." A voice called out
Ash turned & saw the others
"What happened?" Delia asked
"It's Team Rocket, they've got Mallow & they said that their leader wants to see me." Ash said
"The leader of Team Rocket wants to see you?" Brock said "What for?"
"I don't know, but we'll find out." Ash said as he turned to Nagadanel "Nagadanel, go find them."
"Naga." Nagadanel nodded as he flew off
Everyone went around the forest to look for Mallow & Team Rocket until Nagadanel returned & told everyone it found them. When they got to the location, they saw Cassidy & Butch with Mallow who was tied up
"Hey, looks like you made it." Butch said
"Alright, I'm here, where's your leader?" Ash asked
"I'm right here." A voice said
Everyone looked & saw Giovanni
"Hello, Ash." Giovanni greeted
"So you're the leader of Team Rocket." Ash assumed "So what is it about me that you want?"
"Now Ash, is that anyway to treat a member of your family?" Giovanni said
"What? What are you talking about?" Ash said confusingly
"You don't know?" Giovanni said as he turned to Silver "I'm guessing Silver never told you."
"Never told me what?" Ash said as he looked at Silver "Dad, what is he talking about?"
"Ash, he's…my brother." Silver said
"What?" Ash asked surprisingly
"You heard right, Ash." Giovanni said "I'm Silver's brother which makes me your uncle."
Everyone stood in silence as they were shocked especially Ash
"No, that can't be." Ash said in shock & disbelief
"It's true, Ash." Giovanni said
"So Ash, is really your nephew?" Jessie said shockingly
"Yes, & I know you three have been following him & trying to steal his Pokémon." Giovanni frowned
"Why didn't you tell us that you were related to him?" James asked
"Yeah, & why didn't you tell us to stop?" Meowth said
"Hm." Giovanni smirked "because I knew he would take you down & put you in your places as a bunch of weak pushovers."
"What was that?" Jessie growled
"Allow me to introduce you to two newest members of Team Rocket." Giovanni said
A woman with long red hair down to her back who looked just like Jessie & a man with very short blue hair who looked just like James & a Meowth appeared.
"Meet Jennifer & Jason, your replacements." Giovanni said
"Why on earth do they look like us?" Jessie demanded
"Because they're your clones." Giovanni said
"Clones? You cloned us?" James said
"Yes, anyway, I've had the Indigo League postpone your next match." Giovanni said
"Why's that?" Ash said
"Since the start of your Pokémon journey, I've been watching over you & I say I'm quite proud of the progress you made." Giovanni said
"Look if you're here to take my Pokémon, you can't have them." Ash glared as Giovanni chuckled
"Oh Ash, I'm not here to take your Pokémon, I'm here to recruit you as a new member of Team Rocket & as my heir to the Team Rocket throne." Giovanni said as everyone gasped
"What?" Ash said confusingly "But why?"
"Because I can see that you have great potential, my boy." Giovanni said
"Giovanni, there is no way I'm stealing other people's Pokémon." Ash said
"Who said you have to steal anyone's Pokémon?" Giovanni said "All you have to do is catch strong Pokémon & send them to me. Besides, I think it would suit you."
"How so?" Ash asked
"Come now Ash, don't you think I don't know how you are treated by everyone back in Pallet Town because they prefer that arrogant brat than you." Giovanni said "I believe his name was Gary, was it? I know that the kids at Pallet Town would rather be friends with him because he's Professor Oak's grandson."
"…" Ash stood in silence as he looked down
"Think about those nay-says who doubted you, they considered you a loser & a nobody even Professor Oak who kept rubbing off about how Gary had caught more Pokémon than you." Giovanni said. "& don't forget about your so-called father who had abandoned you & had been chasing after me for the past 5 years, because he cared more about his brother than his own son."
"Ash, no, don't listen to him!" Silver begged
"If you join me & be my heir, you can have everything you've ever wanted. You can get revenge on your tormentors & achieve your dream of becoming a Pokémon Master." Giovanni said "So, what do you say? Will you join Team Rocket?"
"Don't join him, Ash, you'll be making a mistake if you do." Lillie said
"Ash, I know you hadn't had the best life in Pallet Town & I'm so sorry, but you still have some people in Pallet Town who love & care about you." Delia said "As for Professor Oak, he cares about you so much that he wishes that you were his grandson & the reason I know this is because he told me himself."
"She's right, don't you remember what Professor Oak said?" Mallow said "He said that the way you care & treat your Pokémon with love & trust proves that you're a better trainer than Gary."
"Boss, I didn't join your team to rejoin Team Rocket." Meowth said
"We know that you didn't have many friends in Pallet Town, but you still have us; me, Misty, Brock, Lana, & Sophocles." Kiawe said
"That's right, we're your true friends, Ash." Lana said "We're friends with you because of the person you are."
"Yeah, & those kids at Pallet Town were just blind idiots to become friends with Gary just because he's the grandson of Professor Oak." Sophocles said
"The choice is yours, Ash." Giovanni said
"Pika." Pikachu said in concern
"Meowth." Meowzie said worriedly
"…Giovanni, as much as I want to become a Pokémon Master." Ash said "But this isn't the path to achieving my dream & it'll ruin my reputation as a Pokémon Trainer. Besides, I'm already getting revenge."
"By doing what?" Giovanni said
"By proving them wrong & that's the best revenge." Ash said
"Teh, best revenge you can get is to kick their butt, that's the best revenge." Butch scoffed
"So, that's your decision?" Giovanni asked
"Yes." Ash nodded
"…Alright, how about this, if you can defeat Cassidy & Butch, I'll accept your decision." Giovanni said "But if you don't, you'll have to join us."
"Okay." Ash said
"You should've taken your uncle's offer, kid." Butch said "We would've loved to have you as a member of Team Rocket."
"Are you ready?" Cassidy asked
"Yes." Ash said
"Go Charizard!" Cassidy said as she sent out a Charizard
"Rargh!" Charizard roared
"Go Aggron!" Butch said as he sent out an Aggron
"Aggron!" Aggron said
"Ocean, Rouge, I choose you!" Ash sent out Ocean & Rouge
"Frillish!" Ocean & Rouge said
"Charizard, Flamethrower." Cassidy said. Charizard shot fire from its mouth
"Aggron, use Flash Cannon." Butch said. Aggron fired a white and light blue beam from its mouth
"Ocean use Water Pulse, Rouge use Shadow Ball." Ash said. Ocean fired a blue orb of water from its hand which collided with Flamethrower & Rouge fired a black & purple ball of shadow energy from her hands which collided with Flash Cannon
"Use Fire Spin." Cassidy said. Charizard sent a stream of fire with a flick of his tail &
trapped Ocean & Rouge in a fiery tornado
"Spin & use Brine." Ash said. Ocean & Rouge spun while firing a powerful stream of water from their mouths which doused the fiery tornado
"Use Shadow Claw!" Cassidy & Butch said as Charizard & Aggron's claws became surrounded by black claw-shaped aura & hit Rouge & Ocean
"Rouge, use Will-O-Wisp on Aggron." Ash said. Rouge fired a pink, light blue, & dark blue fireball from her hands & hit Aggron
"Aggron!" Aggron roared as it became burned
"Now, Ocean, use Hex."
"Frillish!" Ocean said as dark purple wisps of energy appeared around him.
"Aggron!" Aggron roared in pain as he became surrounded in purple energy
"Charizard, use Air Slash." Cassidy said
"Rargh!" Charizard said as its wings glowed light blue & fired saw disc-like energy blades
"Aggron, Thunderbolt."
"Aggrooooon!" Aggron said as it fired a bolt of yellow electricity
"Use Double Team." Ash said. Ocean & Rouge glowed white & created multiple copies of themselves
"Heh, Aggron use Shock Wave." Butch smirked. Aggron horns glowed yellow & released waves of yellow electricity which hit Ocean, Rouge & their copies.
"Now Charizard, Solar Beam." Cassidy said. Charizard's wings glowed faint yellow & fired a yellow beam of energy & hit Ocean & Rouge
"Ocean, Rouge, are you alright?" Ash asked
"Frillish." Ocean & Rouge said as they slowly got up
"It's pointless, Ash, you can't win." Giovanni said
"No, it's not over til it's over." Ash said
"Frillish." Ocean & Rouge nodded
"Let's go!" Ash said
"FRILIIIIIIIIIISH!" Ocean & Rouge said as they glowed bluish white & evolved into bigger forms of themselves
"Jellicent." They said as Ash pulled out his Pokédex
Jellicent, the Floating Pokémon, & the evolved form of Frillish. They propel themselves by expelling absorbed seawater from their bodies. Their favorite food is life energy.

"JELLICEEEEEENT!" Ocean & Rouge said as their eyes glowed blue & fired a blast of water from their heads & hit Charizard & Aggron.
The move was so strong it ended up sending them along with Cassidy & Butch blasting off
"Hm, you have done well." Giovanni said
"Thanks, but can you let Mallow go please." Ash said
"As you wish." Giovanni said as he turned to Team Rocket's Meowth "Release her."
Team Rocket's Meowth cut the ropes & freed Mallow
"Ash." Mallow said as she ran up & hugged him
"Mallow, are you okay?" Ash asked
"I'm fine, they didn't lay a hand on me." Mallow smiled
"I admire your strength & strategy, Ash." Giovanni said "Perhaps you can get your revenge by proving them wrong, but we'll see. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go."
"Wait, Giovanni, please don't do this." Silver said "I've looked everywhere to find you & try to stop you from this world domination you are planning. Just listen to-."
"Silence, you fool!" Giovanni shouted which caused Silver to flinch "You're the one who needs to listen to me, you've been wasting 5 years to chase after me. So, I suggest that you give up on me & start being there for your son's life."
"…Giovanni." Silver said softly
"Well, goodbye for now." Giovanni said as he pulled out a smoke bomb & threw it on the ground. When the smoke cleared, he was gone.
"He's gone." Brock said
"I don't think that will be the last time we see him." Ash said
"Ash?" Silver said
"What do you want?" Ash said
"Was it true what Giovanni said?" Silver asked
"…Yes." Ash said
"Oh…Ash, I'm so sorry, I didn't know." Silver said
"That's because you weren't there for me." Ash said
"I know…I never should've left." Silver said sadly
"…Listen Dad, I'm not willing to forgive you just yet." Ash said "I don't hate you, but I'll give you a chance."
"I understand." Silver said "Also, I have something for you."
"What is it?" Ash asked
Silver pulled out 14 different Poké Balls & sent out a Shiny Skarmory & 13 different Pokémon they haven't seen before. Ash pulled out his Pokédex
Natu, the Tiny Bird Pokémon, Natu has a highly developed jumping ability. The Pokémon flaps and leaps onto tree branches that are taller than grown-up people to pick at the tree's new shoots
Xatu, the Mystic Pokémon, Xatu is known to stand motionless while staring at the sun all day long. Some people revere it as a mystical Pokémon out of their belief that Xatu is in possession of the power to see into the future.
Miltank, the Milk Cow Pokémon. Miltank gives over five gallons of milk on a daily basis. Its sweet milk is enjoyed by children and grown-ups alike. People who can't drink milk turn it into yogurt and eat it instead. This Miltank is Shiny
Hatenna, the Calm Pokémon. Via the protrusion on its head, it senses other creatures' emotions. If you don't have a calm disposition, it will never warm up to you.
Hattrem, the Serene Pokémon, & the evolved form of Hatenna. Using the braids on its head, it pummels foes to get them to quiet down. One blow from those braids would knock out a professional boxer.
Hatterene, the Silent Pokémon, & the evolved form of Hattrem. It emits psychic power strong enough to cause headaches as a deterrent to the approach of others.
Audino, the Hearing Pokémon, It touches others with the feelers on its ears, using the sound of their heartbeats to tell how they are feeling. This Audino is Shiny
Indeedee, the Emotion Pokémon, They diligently serve people and Pokémon so they can gather feelings of gratitude. The females are particularly good at babysitting.
Comfey, the Posy Picker Pokémon, It picks flowers and sticks them to its body with fluids it produces. The aroma that wafts from its petals has a healing effect.
Gothitelle, the Astral Body Pokémon, Starry skies thousands of light-years away are visible in the space distorted by their intense psychic power. They can predict the future from the placement and movement of the stars. They can see Trainers' life spans.
Meowstic, the Constraint Pokémon, The eyeball patterns on the interior of its ears emit psychic energy. It keeps the patterns tightly covered because that power is too immense. This Meowstic is Shiny
Salazzle, the Toxic Lizard Pokémon, Filled with pheromones, its poisonous gas can be diluted to use in the production of luscious perfumes. This Salazzle is Shiny

"Yes, I am." Silver nodded
"Dad, you really didn't have to." Ash said
"Ash, I am your father, it was no trouble catching these Pokémon for you." Silver said "You are worth it."
