Family, Revenge, & Redemption
Ash & Mallow were training their Pokémon alongside Lillie & Gladion. The matches were postponed due to a certain someone destroying all the fields with Explosions. Ash's Ursaring & Indeedee were babysitting a few of the baby Pokémon.
"Hey Guys." Ritchie said as he approached them
"Hey Ritchie, how's it going?" Ash said
"Going great, how's your training?" Ritchie asked
"Good." Ash said as Ritchie looked at the baby Pokémon
"Are these Pokémon yours, Ash?" Ritchie said as he approached the baby Pokémon
"Yep, I hatch them from Eggs, this is Riolu, Torchic, & Elekid." Ash said
"Hi there, I'm Ritchie, it's nice to meet you." Ritchie said as he stuck out his hand
"Ritchie, I wouldn't do that if I were you." Ash said in panic
"Ele." Elekid said as he grabbed Ritchie's hand & shocked him
"AAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Ritchie screamed
"Sorry Ritchie, but Elekid shocks people as a way of saying hello." Ash sweatdropped
Just then the bushes started rustling & out came an Indeedee & a Meowstic but they looked different
"It's a Male Indeedee & a Male Meowstic." Lillie said
"Indee." The male Indeedee said as he looked at Ash's Indeedee
"Meow." The male Meowstic said as he looked at Ash's Meowstic
Both Indeedee & Meowstic stared at each other before blushing
"Deedee!/Meow!" Both Indeedee & Meowstic said as they held each other's hands
"Aw, I think your Indeedee & Meowstic are in love." Mallow said in adoration
"Hm." Ash said as he approached the male Indeedee & Meowstic "Hey you two, do you wanna join my team so you can be with my Indeedee & Meowstic?"
"Meow." The male Meowstic nodded
"Indeedee." The male Indeedee nodded
"Alright, Go Poké Balls!" Ash said as he threw two Poké Balls & caught the Male Indeedee & Meowstic

Everyone looked & saw Gary

"I saw what happened with you & Team Rocket." Gary said "Is Team Rocket's leader really your uncle?"
"Yes, in case you didn't hear right." Ash said
"You're not really thinking about joining Team Rocket?" Gary asked
"Oh, so now all of sudden you care?" Ash said sarcastically
"Ash, you know I cared when you almost lost your Charizard." Gary said
"& if I did join Team Rocket, whose fault would that be?" Ash said
"What? What are you talking about?" Gary said confusingly
"You know everything Giovanni said was true, For 5 years I had to put up with your crud." Ash said "Everyone at Pallet Town always preferred you over me, it was always 'Gary this' & 'Gary that', I couldn't stand it! I had no friends back in Pallet Town except Ritchie until he moved away. We used to be best friends, but you did nothing while I was casted out! You never cared!"
"…Ash…I—." Gary said
"Save it, Gary, cause I don't wanna hear it." Ash said as he turned his back "You know, maybe it could've been better if I moved out of Pallet Town, that way I wouldn't be burdened by you."
With that, Ash walked away.
"Well Gary, I hope you're very happy with what you did to Ash." Mallow glared at Gary before following Ash
"You know he's right, Gary." Ritchie said with a glare
"…" Gary stood in silence
"What happened to you, you used to be smart, you used to be worth talking to. Now it's like you're not even worth the time" Ritchie said "So why'd you break your friendship with Ash? Did you get bored of him? Was he not good enough to be your friend anymore?"
"…I don't know." Gary said
"Oh yeah, well I certainly do; Back when you were best friends, the kids used Ash as a stepping stone to get close to you. When they succeeded in doing that, they started calling Ash a loser & a nobody, what's worse is that you agreed with them & acknowledged it, you didn't even stand up for him." Ritchie scolded "Don't you realize that those 'friends' of yours are only using you for their own gains?"
"What?" Gary said shockingly
"Get it through your thick skull, Gary, if they really were your friends, they would know everything about you & if you were never Professor Oak's grandson, they wouldn't care about you at all." Ritchie said "I'm surprised Ash didn't join Team Rocket for revenge, because if he did it would be your fault, yours & Pallet Towns. Besides, he's already getting revenge, by proving you wrong."
Gary said nothing as he turned around & walked away
"Geez, was I that bad?" Gary thought "& that couldn't be true, my friends wouldn't use me like that, would they?
Meanwhile with Ash & Mallow
"Hey Ash, you okay?" Mallow asked
"Yeah, I just needed to get that out of my chest." Ash said
Unbeknownst to them, a small spybot was spying on them. Giovanni was watching Ash from the small robot on his laptop back at Team Rocket Headquarters.
"Well Ash, I haven't gotten you to join Team Rocket, but I've gotten something even better from you & your girlfriend." Giovanni said as he looked at two small jars, one had black hair & the other had green hair.
Back with Ash & Mallow, they were walking down Pokémon Village until
"Mallow." A voice called out
"Ash." Another voice called out
They looked & saw two men who looked like Mallow, a man with short brown hair wearing a business suit, a woman with orange hair & blue eyes, & a boy with brown hair & black eyes.
"Dad, Ulu." Mallow said surprisingly as she hugged them
"Hey there, Mallow." Ulu said
"Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Mandy, Nicholas?" Ash said
"Hey Ash, it's been a while." Nicholas said
"We came here to see you compete." Jeremy said
"Your mother told us all about the progress you've been making as a trainer & we saw all of your Pokémon back at Professor Oak's." Mandy said
"Well, I'm glad you guys are here." Ash smiled
The group had started talking about how things were going & what has happened in their lives. Ash took his uncle somewhere private to talk alone
"What was it you wanna talk about, Ash?" Jeremy asked
"I met Giovanni." Ash said
"Hm? You have?" Jeremy said
"Yes." Ash said
"Did something happen?" Jeremy asked
"He offered me to join Team Rocket & his heir." Ash said
"He what?" Jeremy said shockingly "But why?"
"Because he knows what my life was like in Pallet Town." Ash said
"I see." Jeremy said as he sighed "I told your mother you & her should've moved to Silver Town."
"It's okay, luckily I didn't take the offer." Ash said
"I knew you wouldn't, you're a smart kid." Jeremy smiled "You know, that girlfriend of yours is a keeper."
"Yeah, she's amazing." Ash said
"Tell me, is Gary still bothering you?" Jeremy said
"Not lately." Ash said
"That's good to know." Jeremy said
"Ash." Mr. Goodshow said as he approached them
"Oh hey, Mr. Goodshow, what are you up to?" Ash said
"I was just having a little stroll until I saw you." Mr. Goodshow said "Who is this?"
"This is Jeremy, my uncle." Ash said
"Oh, so this is your uncle? It's a pleasure that you're here to support your nephew." Mr. Goodshow said as he shook Jeremy's hand
"Likewise." Jeremy smiled
"Hey, Mr. Goodshow, can I ask you something?" Ash said
"Yes?" Goodshow said
"Well, will it be alright if Mallow stayed with me on the battlefield?" Ash asked
"Of course, I saw how close you are with her when you're together, so I'll slow her to stay with you." Goodshow said
"Thanks, Mr. Goodshow." Ash said gratefully
"You're Welcome, carry on." Goodshow said as he left
"Ash!" Ulu called out as he rushed towards Ash
"What is it, Ulu?" Ash said
"It's Mallow, she's been kidnapped." Ulu said
"Kidnapped? By who?" Ash asked shockingly
"We don't know, we were talking until the area was suddenly filled with smoke & she was gone when it cleared." Ulu said
"Okay, I'll go find her. Charizard, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out his Charizard
"Rargh!" Charizard roared
"Come on, Pikachu & Meowzie." Ash said
"Pika." Pikachu said
"Meow." Meowzie said as she, Pikachu, & Ash got on Charizard's back & flew off
Meanwhile Mallow was in a cage & her captors were Cassidy & Butch, they were by a raging river
"What do you guys want?" Mallow said
"You'll find out once your boyfriend gets here." Cassidy said
"Hey." Ash called out as he landed with Charizard
"Look who decided to show up on time." Butch said
"You two again?" Ash said as he returned Charizard "I already told you I don't wanna join Team Rocket, now let Mallow go."
"You think that's what this is about?" Cassidy asked
"We're doing this to get our revenge on you, kid." Butch said "You humiliated us & we got fired from Team Rocket because of you!"
"Well, I'm sorry you got fired, but it's for the best for both of you." Ash said
"For the best!? Team Rocket was our best, you brat! It was the best job we ever had until you messed things up for us!" Cassidy shouted
"No, it was not." Ash said "Working for an organization like Team Rocket where they steal Pokémon & try to take over the world isn't the best job, it's wrong."
"Then how about we settle this, right here, right now?" Butch said
"Fine." Ash said
"Go Houndoom!" Cassidy said as he sent out a Houndoom
"Houn!" Houndoom barked
"Go Mightyena!" Butch said as he sent out a black & gray hyena-like Pokémon
"Rar!" The Pokémon said as Ash pulled out his Pokédex
Mightyena, the Bite Pokémon, Mightyena gives obvious signals when it is preparing to attack. It starts to growl deeply and then flattens its body. This Pokémon will bite savagely with its sharply pointed fangs.
"Pikachu, Meowzie, I choose you!" Ash said
"Pikachu." Pikachu said
"Meowth." Meowzie said
"Houndoom, Flamethrower." Cassidy said.
"Houn!" Houndoom said as it shot fire from its mouth
"Mightyena, use Snarl." Butch said
"Raaaar!" Mightyena said as it released multiple purple & black rings of energy from its mouth
"Meowzie use Water Gun & Pikachu use Light Screen." Ash said. Meowzie released a stream of water from her mouth which doused through Flamethrower & hit Houndoom
"Pika!" Pikachu said as he summoned a pink curved force field & protected Meowzie & himself.
"Use Double Team." Cassidy & Butch said. Houndoom & Mightyena glowed white & created multiple copies of themselves
"Meowzie use Swift, Pikachu use Shock Wave." Ash said
"Pi/Meow." Pikachu & Meowzie nodded at each other
"Meow!" Meowzie said as she jumped with her tail glowing yellow & released multiple yellow stars from it
"Chuuuuu!" Pikachu said as his cheeks glowed yellow & released waves of yellow electricity
Houndoom, Mightyena, & their copies got hit by the attacks
"Houndoom, use Fire Fang." Cassidy said. Houndoom's fangs glowed red-orange, created red-orange teeth-like aura & charged at Meowzie
"Mightyena, Crunch." Butch said. Mightyena opened its mouth, created yellow teeth-like aura & charged at Pikachu
"Dodge it & use Zap Cannon." Ash said. Meowth & Pikachu dodged the attacks & fired yellow orbs with red centers & hit Houndoom & Mightyena which sent them flying
Both Mightyena & Houndoom were slammed into the cage which forced it open & threw her into the river.
"Mallow!" Ash shouted
"That wasn't supposed to happen!" Cassidy said in panic
"Help!" Mallow yelped
"I'm coming, Mallow." Ash called out as he jumped into the river
"Kid, are you crazy?!" Butch shouted
"Ugh, guess we have no choice." Cassidy said "Go Tentacruel!"
Cassidy sent out her Tentacruel
"Tentacruel." Tentacruel said
"Go Cloyster!" Butch said as he sent out his Cloyster
"Cloyster." Cloyster said
Ash was swam towards Mallow
"Hold on, Mallow." Ash said as he held on to her
"Hey!" Butch called out
Ash & Mallow looked & saw Cassidy & Butch swimming towards them with Tentacruel & Cloyster
"Grab on." Butch said as Ash grabbed on to Cloyster
"Give me your hand." Cassidy said as Mallow grabbed her arm & was pulled up on Tentacruel
"Look out, a cliff!" Ash shouted
They looked & saw a cliff connected to the river
"Tentacruel, turn around." Cassidy said
"Go back, Cloyster." Butch said
Tentacruel & Cloyster turned around & swam away but the raging river was slowing them down
"Pick up that pace." Butch said
"Cruel!/Cloy!" Tentacruel & Cloyster said as they struggled to swim faster
Suddenly a multicolored circular beam with white crescents around it lifted them up into the air & put them on the grass. When they looked, they saw their friends, Ulu, Abe, Jeremy, Mandy, Nicholas, Lusamine, Gladion, Lillie, Jessie, James, & Ash's Suicune
"Dad!" Mallow said as she hugged her father
"Are you okay, Mallow?" Abe asked
"Thanks for saving us, Suicune." Ash said gratefully
"Ooooo." Suicune said
Ash looked at Cassidy who was standing up & Butch who was sitting on the ground
"Cassidy, Butch." Ash said as he approached them "Thank you for trying to save us back there."
"Don't mention it." Cassidy said
"Go ahead, call the cops on us & get it over with already." Butch sulked
"What? You guys are giving up that easily?" Ash asked confusingly
"Our revenge didn't go as planned, besides there's no hope for us." Cassidy said
"You're wrong, there is hope for you." Ash said "You guys just haven't seen it yet."
"But what'll we do now?" Butch asked "We have nowhere to go now that we've been fired from Team Rocket."
"Hm." Ash said as she turned to Lusamine "Hey Aunt Lusamine, will it be alright if Cassidy & Butch work for you at the Aether Foundation?"
"Sure, I believe these two can be my assistants." Lusamine smiled
"What?" Cassidy said confusingly as she looked at Ash "Why are you helping us?"
"It's the least I can do, after all you did try to save me & Mallow." Ash said with a smile
Cassidy & Butch stared at Ash before saying two words
"Thank you."
