Gary Finds Out & Virizion
Gary was looking for his cheerleaders
"Where could they be?" Gary wondered
It wasn't long until he found them, but he saw that they were having a conversation. So he hid behind a tree to eavesdrop.
"I still can't believe that Ash defeated that Mandi guy so easily." Cheerleader 1 said
"Yeah, remind me why we're with Gary again?" Cheerleader 2 asked
"We're only with him because he's the grandson of Professor Oak." Cheerleader 3 said much to Gary's shock
"Not to mention the Pallet Town Mayor hired us to be his cheerleaders, but we cheered for Ash at the Viridian Gym & that was it." Cheerleader 4 said
"The mayor hired them?!" Gary thought shockingly
"Plus, we thought Ash wasn't gonna last, but he managed to pass the first field." Cheerleader 5 said
"Well, if Gary somehow loses against Ash or any of his future opponents, we stop being his cheerleaders & cheer on for Ash." Cheerleader 1 said
"Yeah, to be honest, I think Ash is better than him anyway." Cheerleader 3 said
Gary stood in shock & said nothing as he left without them noticing
Later on, Ash & Mallow were having a walk around Pokémon Village.
"Ladies & Gentlemen, this is Mr. Goodshow speaking, I want to inform you that the fields are almost fixed & will need a couple of more days for the repairs to be complete before competitors proceed to the next field they'll be battling in their next match." Mr. Goodshow said through the speakers
"Alright, can't wait for my next match." Ash said in determination
"You're gonna do great, Ash." Mallow encouraged
"Meow Meow." Meowzie said as she pointed at something
"What is it, Meowzie?" Ash said
They looked & saw Gary
"Is that Gary?" Ash said
"Yeah, he looks sad." Mallow said
When they approached Gary
"Gary." Ash said
"Oh, hey guys." Gary said
"What's the matter?" Mallow asked
Gary explained that he overheard his cheerleaders' conversation, Ash & Mallow didn't have much of a reaction.
"Huh, I'm not surprised." Ash said "Y'know Gary, your eyes are only half open."
"What? What do you mean?" Gary said
"You finding out about those Cheerleaders of yours was just the beginning, so you have half way to go until you know how it feels when someone turns their back on you, the same way you did to me when we were friends." Ash said as he & Mallow left
Meanwhile Jessie & James were at a lake
"Jessie, James." A voice said
They both look & saw Butch & Cassidy
"Cassidy, Butch." Jessie said
"We came to apologize for how we treated you." Cassidy said
"Oh, that's alright, no need to apologize." Jessie said
"Yeah, the past is in the past." James said
"Hey, perhaps the four of us could start over as friends." Butch said
"That would be nice." Jessie said
"That kid sure is something." Cassidy said
"You mean Ash, yes he is." Jessie agreed
"He was the one who convinced us & Meowth to quit Team Rocket." James said
"Really?" Cassidy said
"Yes, we've been chasing after him during his Pokémon Journey through Kanto while trying to steal his Pokémon, especially his Pikachu." James said
"His Pikachu? Why his Pikachu?" Butch asked confusingly
"Because the first time we were hit by that Thunderbolt, we got a feeling his Pikachu is something special." Jessie said
"Hm, his Pikachu isn't the only one that's special." Cassidy said
"You're right, Ash is a one of a kind Pokémon Trainer." Jessie smiled
(With Ash & Mallow)
Ash & Mallow were walking through the forest
"So, the mayor of Pallet Town hired those cheerleaders." Mallow said
"The reason why is because he's Professor Oak's brother & Gary's granduncle." Ash said
"That makes sense." Mallow said
"Boun?" Bounsweet said as she sense something
"What, Bounsweet?" Mallow asked
"Bounsweet." Bounsweet said as she took off
Ash & Mallow followed Bounsweet. When they got to the location, they saw a green antelope-like Pokémon with long horns that end in dull, curled points, & pointed snout with a black blaze running from its nose to the back of its head. It was laying against a tree with an injured leg
"Who's that Pokémon?" Ash said as he pulled out his Pokédex
Virizion, the Grassland Pokémon, Legends say this Pokémon confounded opponents with its swift movements. Its head sprouts horns as sharp as blades. Using whirlwind-like movements, it confounds and swiftly cuts opponents.
Mallow approached Virizion & pulled out a first aid kit
"Ki?" Virizion said as it looked at Mallow
"It's okay, I'll help you." Mallow said "Just trust me."
After Mallow bandaged up Virizion's leg
"Ash, help me get Virizion back on its feet." Mallow said
"Right." Ash nodded as he & Mallow started lifting Virizion "It's heavier than it looks."
"Virizion, please try to stand up." Mallow said
"Kwaa." Virizion said as it slowly stood up
"There, are you feeling better?" Mallow asked
"Ki." Virizion nodded
"You're welcome, be safe out there." Mallow said as she & Ash started to walk away.
"Ki." Virizion said as it grabbed the back of Mallow's jacket with its mouth
"Whoa!" Mallow said as she turned to Virizion "Is there something you need?"
"Kwaa Kwaa." Virizion said
"I think Virizion wants you to capture it." Ash said
"Are you sure?" Mallow asked
"Kwaa." Virizion nodded
"Okay, go Poké Ball!" Mallow said as she threw a Poké Ball & caught Virizion "Awesome, I got a new Pokémon."
"Congratulations Mallow." Ash said
"Thanks Ash, shall we get going?" Mallow said
"Yeah." Ash nodded as they left
