HARDCORE NARUTO FAN - WILL WRITE ONLY NARUTO STORIES OR CROSSOVERS

Hey everyone, I'm a new fanfiction writer, so if you visit my profile hoping for completed stories, well, your out of luck.

Why I write:

I started writing stories here as I want to freely express what I imagine would happen in the scenarios I create. I am also sick of there being such a limited number of completed stories to read. Several times, I see abandoned stories which are so well written, but have not been updated for years. So, I'm taking things into MY OWN HANDS by starting my own stories.

How I write:

- Will not abandon stories (If I don't like how one of my stories is progressing I will put it up for adoption)

- At least one weekly update for each story I work on

- Short chapters (Approx. 5k words)

- Proper spelling and grammar (Minimal grammatical errors - no one is perfect)

What I write:

- Naruto stories

- Naruto crossovers with High School DxD, Death Note, Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Harry Potter, Kane Chronicles, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, and Merlin

- Requests from private messages (Must be one of the above themes)

I may not be able to take all requests, as I don't know how many I will get, but I will try to be as accommodative as possible

What I DO NOT write:

- Smut/Lemons/Limes/One-shots/Fluffs or any other sexual content: Take too much focus off the story

- Incest pairings: Self explanatory - these are gross (Except in PJO and HoO stories - This is unavoidable in these cases)

- Non-heterosexual relationships or non-binary characters: Not against these in real life, but as a heterosexual person, I feel that I cannot write such relationships well. But if the canon character is of such a sexual orientation (Ex. Ymir, Christa/Historia, Korra), I will write such relationships for them

- Massive harems: 1 to 4 women is alright, but more than that makes it feel like the MC is shallow and unfaithful

- Large age gap pairings: Unless pairings are with immortal/near-immortal characters - basically those involved in the pairings should not be able to outlive the rest by a more than a decade or two

- Gender-swapped characters: It is weird for me to imagine some characters in the opposite gender

- Endorsement/boycott of any products, cultures, religions, places, etc.: The opinions of characters on any of these things in my stories do not reflect my own opinions and are to be taken purely as the perspectives of the characters

- Political Propaganda: I do not want to pick fights with people

TRIGGER WARNINGS:

- Violence: All of the fanfictions I write may contain fights, assassinations, gore, abuse, rape, murder, torture, suicide and/or other forms of brutality. These actions are neither condoned nor glorified by me, but they are necessary for the plots

- Profanity: Vulgarity, perversion, derogatory phrases and depictions, objectification of characters, sexism, and indecent behavior will be common themes in my stories. Such behavior is neither condoned nor glorified by me, but it is necessary for the plots

- Perceived insults: These will never be intentional, but if any parts of my stories come off as insults to products, cultures, religions, places, etc. that you care about, please read works by other authors instead of mine

I only own the stories that I create, as well as any new characters I introduce. I do not own any of the literature that my stories are based on.

The Hypocrisy of Naruto

Before you say "Oh! How can he be a fan of Naruto when he doesn't like the character?!", I like the Naruto storyline, and the concepts of shinobi and ninja arts. Some of the characters were also really impactful the way they were created. And while he is not my favorite, I still do like Naruto's character. However, I do have some misgivings about him. So, you know how Naruto keeps saying that he is a hard worker and not a genius, right? He calls Sasuke and Neji geniuses (genii? I don’t know), just because they used to be far ahead of him in terms of skill. I don’t know about you guys, but to me, Naruto’s attitude came across as naïve and hypocritical. Let me explain why:

Naruto was already blessed with amazing stamina, strength, and chakra reserves since birth. This is both because he was the son of an Uzumaki and the Kage of a village, and because he was the Kyuubi’s jinchuriki. This allowed him to create a massive quantity of Shadow Clones, which he made full use of throughout the series. It also blessed him with enough Chakra to perfectly utilize Senjutsu. He was also able to throw around S-rank Jutsus like it was nothing.

Let me remind you, in the final battle, when Naruto fought Sasuke, Sasuke needed the Chakra of all the Bijuu only to match Naruto, and even after that, he needed to absorb some of Naruto’s own Chakra for his final attack. Besides this, Naruto was not fighting with his full power, aiming to subdue Sasuke and not kill him, while Sasuke was fighting to kill him. Add to all of this that Naruto had been fighting in the war for far longer than Sasuke had, and we can easily understand that Naruto had become far stronger than Sasuke. All of this is also without counting Naruto’s Baryon Mode that was revealed in Boruto.

So, with all this said, Naruto definitely had far more raw potential and power than Sasuke. However, instead of counting his blessings and honing his powers to use them skillfully, Naruto chose to complain about people not treating him well and not acknowledging him, which I did not like. Sasuke and Neji, on the other hand, had been training since they could walk, and had far more skill than Naruto because of this. I know that people would often ostracize Naruto and refuse to sell him equipment or training material, but he could have started when he learned the Transformation Jutsu, by using this technique to sneak into shops and buy what he needs.

His development was further stunted because of Jiraiya. I’m sorry, but even though I like the character, I would say he did not make good use of the training trip. Three years was plenty of time to teach Naruto Sage Mode, teach him about elemental affinities and techniques, refine his taijutsu, teach him fuinjutsu, teach him toad collaboration techniques, maybe even a few high-Chakra genjutsus, make him practice keeping his emotions balanced, and even possibly have him meet Killer B (if the Raikage allows it).

Granted, perhaps the last one may not be completely possible, but the rest of them are, and Jiraiya could have made full use of Naruto’s Shadow Clones to help him learn faster. Instead, all Naruto learned was how to make a bigger Rasengan, how to break a genjutsu, and some battle tactics – maybe some slight improvement in his taijutsu. I get that this was done so that fans don’t miss out on significant things that Naruto learns, but it was still a waste of three years. I’m sorry to say this, but Orochimaru without Chakra in his arms was able to teach Sasuke better than Jiraiya taught Naruto.

Despite these obstacles, Naruto was still able to surpass Sasuke, the so-called genius, by the end of the story. Even in Part one, learning the Shadow Clone Jutsu and the Rasengan was such a game-changer for Naruto that he was able to match Sasuke, who had been training his whole life, in his battle with him during the retrieval mission.

This technically makes Naruto himself a genius. And Sasuke had a point when he got jealous of Naruto’s progress. How would you feel if you worked hard your whole life to reach a certain level that you are proud of achieving, only for some upstart, who only started taking things seriously a few months ago, to surpass your achievements? I think that Sasuke would have respected Naruto's drive a lot more than he did if he kept at it for his entire life, which would cause Naruto himself to be a lot more skilled than he was in canon.

However, despite these misgivings that I have dumped on all of you (sorry), I still like Naruto's name and ideals, so I will use him as the main character for all of my fanfics. However, the Naruto I will be using will be at least partially OOC. I have received one complaint about the Naruto in my fanfic being nothing like the actual Naruto character from canon, and sorry for not warning you all about that, but that is how my stories will be.
