Lieutenant Ulysses M. Civettius, a young Austrian Officer during the early 1800s, was killed and brought before a particularly annoying Goddess. After being reincarnated into another world, full of Fantasy and Magic, Ulysses discovers that a significant aspect of warfare in his previous world is missing: Blackpowder.

Felix, a veteran of the Armageddon Steel Legion, passes through a portal of some kind and finds himself on some far flung Feudal world. This world isn't too a different from what he knows but he can tell they've spent some time away from the wider Imperium; They've taken to calling the Emperor by Founder Brimir and have some primitive form of the Scholastica Psykana.
