Chapter 6: Nomu (Part 1)

Six and Mono are frightened by the appearance of the monster.

Its body is pitch black and unusual long limbs. On its head, brain and eyes are exposed. The cornea of the eyes is even in the ridges of the brain. Everyone who first looks at the monster will be terrified.

Mono and Six feel the urge to escape like the time they evaded the Hunter, the Teacher, and the Doctor. They know that their lives will be in danger if the monster sees them.

Six tries to pull Mono out of the debris but it's useless.

The monster sees them and says as if it has accomplished something.

"Ahhh. Paper bag...boy!"

Mono hears that and realizes how doomed he is now. He doesn't want Six to get in danger because of him.

"Six! Run! It's coming for me."

"No! I hear what it said. But...I don't want to lose you." Six says, which eases Mono's worry a bit.

However, she doesn't know what to do though she said very bravely.

Then, she realizes something...She could use her power.

"But the consequences..." - She thinks - "No. I will use it for Mono's safety no matter what".

The Nomu launches its arm to Mono. Suddenly, it is stopped in mid-air, right in front of Mono, by Six's power.

Six then uses her power to push the arm away from Mono so strong that it knocks the monster back. When it is still stunned, she moves to distract the monster away from Mono.

Six then starts sucking the life force of the monster. In progress, she hears screams coming from the monster as if it is from multiple people.

Her vision starts getting blurred and she blackouts.

Waking up, Six sees herself in a familiar room. It is so identical to the Hunter's cabin's one. There are tally marks and 3 drawings on the wall.

"Where am I?" - Six thinks when the door starts being broken down by a hatchet. - "Mono?"

Six runs to the person coming out of the hole but is pressed down.

"Mono?" - She says as she looks to realize that the person isn't Mono but Shadow Six.

"Hi, Six..." - Shadow Six says joyfully - "Long time no see!"

"W...What do you want?"

"Oh. It just looks like that you need my power to defeat the monster."

Shadow Six then suddenly tightens up her strength on Six's neck.

"So let me take care of your body and I will share some power with you."

Six feels painful but she grabs Shadow Six's hand in the strangulation and knocks Shadow Six off the side. She quickly presses down Shadow-self.

"Then I will take it away from you...with FORCE."

Mono is still trying to get his leg out of the debris while thinking about Six. She now is brave and unshakable, unlike when they first met, timid and afraid. He is also glad that she didn't leave him behind even though he told her to run.

A chill suddenly cut the thought of Mono. He looked for the source and sees Six, who is in thick black mist flying violently around. He is terrified by her expression, smiling joyfully, not any normal smile but a Yandere smile with her right eye turning to a dark crimson color.

"Six!" - Mono calls for Six as he fears that she is losing her true self, which is true. Six has taken Shadow Six's power without noticing that her personality will be replaced by her Shadow self.

"Si..." - Mono calls again but is interrupted by a shredding sound from the monster. He turns and sees the monster's muscle relocating into the center of its body and turning into a giant pillar in the stomach.

He then realizes that it doesn't target Six but him. He quickly panics and desperately tries to get his leg out but it's no use.

He decides to use his power to stop the thing.

"BOOM!" - The thing is launched with the speed that shreds through the air and towards Mono.

Mono tries his best to stop the thing but it's useless. Mono suddenly starts experiencing Deja vu, a blackness, but he doesn't lose hope and continues to stop the thing rushing to him.

When it comes too close, Mono closes his eyes as a natural reaction.

...

A second after when Mono presumes the impact, he opens his eyes and sees an unsettling and shocking scene.

Six is standing there...with her stomach being impaled through by the thing.

"SIX!".

Teaser description

Kneeling down in front of Six's bloody body, Mono is stunned by the fact that his friend...his true friend is dying but he cannot do anything.

Mono slowly walks to the Nomu. With every step, space becomes more distorted than before. Blue glitching particles start being emitted around his left eye.

Hi everyone, here's a chapter for now. Another one will come on the weekend.

And thanks for giving me good luck last week, I passed the final semester tests with flying color. :))))

Also, the story is getting intense and I have a lot of free time due to a COVID-19 outbreak in my country canceling schools, Therefore, I am looking forward to making 2 chapters per week. No further more, Let's go to the part where I call:

First question: Six: So... Six and Mono have quirks.

Me: Well yes, but actually no. :))))))

Second question: Six: Shadow Six?

Me: Yes, I know it is confusing that Shadow Six suddenly appeared but don't worry. She will have a major role in the FAR future.

Third question: Six: The Lady vs The Thin Man.

Me: Spoiler Alert: Their part will come after the war against the Liberation Army.
