![]() Author has written 2 stories for Sherlock. So this is me. I am Debby, 35 years old and living in a beautiful village in Germany. As a mother of four children, my life has gotten into a 24/7 housewife-job. Sometimes, when I am stressed out to the point, where I urgently need a break, I sit down and start writing. I used to write fanfictions when I was around the age of 15. The first fanfiction I wrote was a crossover of Emergency! and CHiPs. I wrote only this one story and then decided, I am not good enough for this. Then, a few years later, I returned to creative writing. I must have been around 18. The reason was a series called "Diagnosis Murder" and I liked it so much, that I tried to write some fanfictions in German. Unfortunately, they were so bad, people commented my stories were bullshit and the characters would not react how I described them. I got upset and never wrote a story after that happened. Must have been in 2010. 10 years later I randomly came to watch "Sherlock" and that was the beginning of my third try of writing fanfictions. I needed something to calm down and that was the moment I decided to write again. While Sherlock in German wasn't working for me, I had the feeling it was time to write in English. I knew, there would be a lot of mistakes, but I was sure, this time people would like my writing. Funny thing was, that I planned to write just a short story of the episode 'the lying detective'. What started as a simple idea, turned out to be a story with over 25 chapters and 90 written DIN A4 pages... I have a beta-reader, who always checks my stories for spelling and grammar mistakes. I am so thankful to have this special person. Sam, you know I am your biggest fan and so thankful to have you check up my stories. This means a lot to me. As for the future: I am planning to write a few more Sherlock stories, so let's hope there are a few people out there, liking what I write. Thanks to all my fans, Debby |
