Shichi knees down painfully as more Nomes get stuck inside the black mist swirling around his sister.

"Why is she so like..." Shichi thinks to himself as he holds his chest -"The Lady?"

The current state of Six reminds him too much of the Lady.

Dark mist with intimidating demeanor. Moreover, those eyes are not from a person.

"So, you finally show your true self as a monster, Sis?" Shichi says as he slowly gets up, wanting to buy some time.

Fear starts slightly filling him as the mist keeps flying more violently.

A sinister dark smile grows on Six's face. And the left eye is complete darkness with a crimson pupil inside, while a purple octagon glows on the other. "Oh, brother! How naive of you!" Six says -"Thinking that you're strong enough to fight me?"

"I may not be strong enough to fight you. But I can do one thing I used to be the best at..."

.

Suddenly, Shichi turns to jump up to the pipes.

Six, or more clearly, her dark self follows him like an apex hunter looking for its favorite food.

"Pathetic!"

.

"I never see that ability from the Lady?" Shichi thinks about the quirk that has killed or absorbed the Nomes. "I never see that ability from the Lady?" At least, right now, she seems to be identical to the Lady.

.

Trying his best not to care about the increasing immense pain in his chest, Shichi keeps evading Six as he used to do with the monster in his past life.

.

Scared keeps growing inside him as he hears more pipes breaking sound behind, and so does the pain inside.

"Why's the pain not worn off?" He can't avoid thinking that Six, or whatever she is now, keeps absorbing his soul from behind. "Goddamit. Why does it always end like this?" Why he is always got chased by something wanting to kill him.

.

Shichi then makes an effort to stop Six by using the rope to make a pipe fall on her. That also gets torn to pieces by the violent mist tentacles from her back.

.

Suddenly, a set of dark green tendrils rushes to Shichi, to which he barely dodges with a slight wound on his cheek. "What the?" Shichi then glares back in the hope that Six is hit somehow.

.

And to his surprise, a tendril does knock her into the pipes, allowing him to escape. And as he looks at where the tendril is from, Shichi sees the green-haired boy emitting the tendrils everywhere and being hugged by the optimistic girl from team A.

.

Suddenly, he is knocked down. "What?!" And then pressed down to a nearby ground forcefully.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?" An angry yell is so loud that he's deaf for a moment. And as he is turned back, Shichi sees two eye colors from Mono. The left eye shows a stormy blue. Unlike the other, a yellow triangle surrounds the pupil of the right one, in static and glitching.

However, even then, "Calm down, Mono!" Shichi grabs Mono's arms and gets it off -"She's lost control of herself." He decides not to ask about the eyes.

"Where is she now?!" Mono says urgingly with a determined face.

*Crash!*

The collapsing sound of pipes and the visible black mist violently flying approaches them.

"There she is," Shichi says as he gets up -"Do whatever you want, Mono. I don't have the right to judge you."

Then, multiple Nomes start gathering and then disappear under his coat.

"I'll go!" Mono says as he jumps and disappears into the pipes and towards the collapsing infrastructure.

Shichi looks at Mono running towards Six without hesitation. He changes his thought that Mono just has a blind relationship with Six.

"They're more than just friends."

(3rd POV, Mono's place)

Jumping and running towards where Six is supposed to be, Mono runs with caution.

Suddenly, black-misted tendrils appear right in front of him, tending to knock him over. However, he dodges swiftly to the side.

*THUD*

.

Looking at the approaching friend, Mono looks at his friend with a determined and angry face.

"Oh!" The girl expresses her surprise -"Monaural?" That also makes Mono surprised. "Didn't expect you to be here."

"Who do you mean?" Mono asks. "Oh! That's your host? Why don't you take it already?"

"What do you mean?" Mono asks -"And how do you know Monaural?"

"That eye. That triangle eye of yours. That's what makes you his host, boy." The girl says -"Of the one that indirectly has and will cause the loop to repeat itself." And form a sinister smile on her face. That slightly makes Mono shake at her presence. "How convenience..."

"SHOW YOURSELF!"

Said, the girl rushes to strike multiple tentacles towards Mono, shredding through the air.

Mono tries

*CLARK!*

Two static swords stand in the tentacles' way.

Mono then slashes and disintegrates the tentacles in the process. His right eye glows in the dark mist like a beacon, and the other blazes like a blue glitching flame.

This chapter may be confusing. But that will be somewhat explained in the next one.

Also, I refer to Mono as 'Mono' if Mono is Mono when I'm referring to him. :)
