Hay guys Anime guy here sadly I will not be continuing this fanfic for the writing contest as it is over. I know a lot of people liked this fanfic despite some confusing things in terms of time line wise but I'm really greatful for those who followed me, sadly that means I won't be writing this one anymore, but I decided to give you good people one last chapter, it first starts off from Shiros perspective going to the White fang main Mistral base and a scene I wanted to use for a writing stream but it was to long for the word limit but would have made for a good chapter I think so sorry to disappoint those who followed and liked and those who followed me for this story for that I'm forever thankful for those giving me a chance with this story and I hope I can make for in the coming future and complete them be they old ones I'm rewriting or Alex-kellers writing contests.

Thanks again everyone.

Mistral, Mine #PT401 10:30

Guards watched as the train came and were shocked by the damage it had sustained. They kept their rifles up aiming at the train car. Their breathing kept calm as the head of security ordered several to open up the cars. To their shock they found the guards assigned to the train tied up. The engineer was scared out of his mind. They tried to get them to talk but no one knows what hit them. That is till they got to the slave car. Where the gunner to a discarded MG was hog tied with a symbol on it.

The white fang

One turned to the squad leader.

"The boss won't be happy about this." He said.

Undisclosed location, Mistral, White fang camp, 12:30

Adam and Eve slept in the back of the 7 ton next to Sienna. Lord Shaxx was busy cleaning his rifle while Shiro was on top of the cab keeping an eye on things as they moved. The rest were sleeping away. Shiro looked at the revolver holstered next to his quiver. He couldn't help but feel a bit lost. The grail always have clear instructions when it came to giving new heros weapons that would be used as the catalyst to summon them for the holy grail wars which he had barely figured out after weighing what he has done so far, such as that sword he gave to Raphtalia in the previous world and that odd chain whip to that odd women from the one before that. So what made this one so different? He couldn't understand it, and he hated the randomness of the damn thing. But he also blamed himself for not being specific.

However as they made their way through the forest old ruins were in the distance. And something else, he focused as they got closer to see what basically what looked like came out of an old sci-fi movie. People and trunks moved as they came in and out of the camp. Some wore some sort of uniform while others wore what they had on their backs. The truck made its way into the camp and the motor pool as a group of mechs started maintenance immediately when the engine was shut off. The demi humans in the back immediately started moving the former captives off the truck and moving them as they needed for medical attention. He took one last look at the red haired twins. As they were moved he got down and saw Shaxx get off followed by Sienna. The helmeted man looked to Shiro.

"Well lad, we thank you for your help, hell you remind me of my time in the Atlas special forces." He said with a hearty laugh.

Shiro smiled though he did wonder why his helmet had horns on it.

"I'm glad to have made a good impression on you" he said.

Sienna rolled her eyes as she sighs.

"Well I'm going to report to Ghira. See you around Shaxx." She said she then looked at Shiro. " You...aren't bad...for a human...dont tell anyone of this or we'll send a bounty hunter after you." as she walked off.

Shiro couldn't tell if she was joking or serious, and Shaxx laughed at his confusion.

"Don't take it personally son, she just doesn't trust humans as you can already see why."

Shiro nodded.

"What's going to happen to the kids..the orphans?" He asked.

Shaxx sighed, almost as if what he said had sucked the joy out of him.

"We don't always have the supplies to support the enslaved kids. So we have to send them to orphanages we trust." He said glumly. But perked up a bit.

"But thankfully with my reputation I managed to make a village, one in which the Faunus and Humans can live peacefully. Me and my old friend made it a dream to achieve from back then during the Faunus revolution. If no one here adopts those two, then my village will take them. We train them to defend themselves but also life skills so they can be functioning members of society."

There was a heavy breath as Shaxx reminisced about the past. And Shiro could tell that it was rather hard for him, for a little.

"What happened to your friend?" Shiro asked.

"He died...I lived...we were ordered to charge a hill in Vacuo that was once a SDC controlled dust mine that cost the lives of the local miners and staff, when the rebels stormed it first. We were hit by mortars. He was right beside me when I took a mortar head on. I was knocked unconscious thanks to my armor and aura...but he didn't make it.."

Shiros' eyes softened.

"I see...I'm sorry."

Shaxx sighs.

"It's alright, you didn't know." He replied. "But...I better get home. I've been out here for far longer than I told my wife."

Shiro nodded as Shaxx went into the temple.

"Sakura…" he thought. "I hope you're alright."

He then looked down at a holster and it was somewhat glowing. He pulled it out and aimed the pistol grip to see that the weapon glowed brightly in one direction, then he pointed it to the left and right of the path which dimmed it. Thankfully he was the only one to see it otherwise he would have been seen as crazy as he started to walk.

Medical ward

Adam woke up with a new bandage over his eye. He looked around to see more Faunus. They had bandage's, IVs, ect. His sister was next to him with an IV in her arm. He looked down at his hands and they tightened into fists.

"How can I protect my sister…. How can I gain vengeance...when I'm not even strong enough to save Eve on my own?" He thought to himself.

They have nothing but the clothes on their backs. No money and no way of using any support systems, he doesn't even know if the White fang will keep them. He fought back his tears as his eyes started to water. But then he heard the door open and the same man with white hair and tanned skin walk in. He wore what looked like reinforced spandex for his long sleeve shirt.

"Hello there." He said politely.

"Ah...hi…" Adam replied awkwardly.

This scene takes place after I had planned on Raven using Duron or Kiddo before this scene to get to his Village to plunder it and take him as a slave, Summer and Qrow adopt him sense they know how harsh the world is to faunus and those who "do not look normal" in the eye of society and yes the lullaby is the Athrys's Embrace Lore tab

"If you tell a big enough lie frequently enough, it will be believed."

Summer moved her mouth in odd directions while making odd sounds to the Infant before her. It giggled in delight as the spoon she held went into the young babe's mouth and ate all of the baby food from it. She smiled and beamed with joy as Yang smiled at her.

"If only Raven had stayed." She thought to herself.

Looking around from the table, she listened intently at Tai, muttering to himself about the needed salt and for the mashed potatoes. With a sigh she looked back to Yang who was looking at the window with awe and wonder. Though that got her mind racing, she should have heard water coming down from the pipes in the wall next to her, yet she didn't hear any water running at all. She then looked at Tai.

"Hay Tai, you told our guest to take a bath, right?" She asked, hoping her worry was unfounded.

"Yeah, I did, why do you ask?"

"I'm not hearing any water running."

Yang just continued to stare out the window as Summers' heart rate began to increase. She looked to where Yang was staring at only to gasp in horror. The boy was in the river, not the upstairs bathroom.

"TAI!!!" She called out.

Getting up from her chair at the table, Tai dropped the tub of butter as he ran to Summer's side and saw what she did. They both ran after through the front door as Tai put on his shotgun gauntlets

The river

The boy let out a sigh as he got out of the river to shake his body dry. Picking up his old clothes and putting them on, he looked around to make sure no Grimm were near. He should have figured it would turn out like this. Just like back at the orphanage when ninety-nine…, he ended his train of thought there. Yet he couldn't help but think about it, how the staff would draw water for the other kids and help them wash themselves. Sometimes he'd ask if he could have a bath in a tub, only to be turned away and told to go jump into the river if he wanted to bathe that badly. So he did, he grew used to the cold water of rivers, the need to look out for grim. He picked up his pants and undergarments and shook his head in disgust at his carelessness.

"Should have washed this with me." He said to himself with a frustrated sigh.

"HEY KID WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" shouted a male voice.

The boy looked up to see the women who brought him here and the man that greeted them, come running to him. The man looked angry, like the people from his village. His heart rate skyrocketed when the woman pulled her weapon out and both aimed at him. His breath hitched as he was about to activate his semblance out of fear, but then his body stood still as he heard a very familiar sound. A growl was behind him, slowly turning around he saw an Alpha Beowolf sniffing the air as its red eyes followed his foul clothes and fear. His breathing started to increase as the sound of his heart could be felt in his ears. He immediately ran towards them, wanting to avoid the Grimm.

He pumped his skinny legs as hard as he could to pass them. The Beowulf lunged out, it was faster, stronger, it clasped it's teeth into his loose shirt pulling him back, losing balance and now in its grasp. The boy began to try wiggling out of the shirt to escape, his tears started to fall as he looked into its eyes. He flailed his arms and legs trying anything to get away. Then the snap of gun fire boomed in front of him. The Grimm released it's jaw howling in pain. On three legs it limped away a little from the boy. It growled at the adults holding their weapons up and level at the black beast. It lifted it's head to call for it's pack only for the women to fire her silver and red hand cannon. Destroying it's non-existent brain as it fell down, it's body turning to dust.

The boy crawled backwards away from the corpse but was stopped by the woman's legs. The man stepped in front of him, protecting them. Him? The woman turned him around, worry set in her eyes and brow. The man once clearing the forest line turned to the boy, anger so set in his stance that the child looked away closing his eyes. Trying to stop his tears from falling at upsetting the older man.

"What the hell were you thinking? You could have been hurt or worse dead!"

Its tone was fierce, the boy wanted to retreat further into the women's legs trying to hide from his gaze.

"When we say take a bath it's to be in a tub not the damn river!"

"TAI!" the women just simply stated.

The older man calmed down enough to see how much the boy was trying to hide his face. The sniffling and tears that fell from his cheeks.

"I'm sorry…," the boy spoke up," I didn't mean to cause trouble…, I was only doing what you asked… I'm… I'm sorry… I'll just leave..."

The woman kneeled down trying to get him to look her in the eye.

"Hay, hay, there's no need for that. Are you hurt? You ok?" She said to the boy.

She looked him over to try and find any bad wounds but he seemed to have only a scratch from when he fell so she gave him a hug, letting his head rest against her shoulder feeling his warm tears wet her blouse. Using an arm she cradled his legs and lifted him up, keeping his Head where it is. She then looked at Tai with a softness to her voice.

"Can you finish up dinner?"

"Sure, Summer."

When they walked into the house Tai did what he was asked while smiling at Yang in her baby chair. Summer, however, walked upstairs with the boy in her arms. Placing him down in front of the washing machine she went to the tub and began filling it with warm water. Pulling her sleeves back she then poured a little soap into the water, letting the artificial current stir it up forming bubbles. She looked back to the boy who was still curled into a ball trying to hide himself from her. Turning off the water she walked up to him and kneeled down.

"Hey, the bath is ready, can you get out of those clothes? They need to be washed." She said as softly as she could.

The boy nodded his bald head and did what she asked, never facing her as she pulled out some old shorts and a shirt too large for him with a loose pair of boxers. Though as the boy walked to the tub he couldn't help but see an old friend of his. A ghost of a short man with a hunch back was right next to the tub, his face sagged to one side like his hunch, yet his arms were thin like twigs and his eyes were brown as the dirt still on him. The boy shook his head to rid himself of the image and stepped into the bathtub.

Summer hummed to herself as she set the washer with the boy's old clothes and walked over to the tub. She began to use a soap bar on his skin. The dirt and grim started to go away faster then it did in the river. Though the boy said nothing as she worked.

"Can you tell me why you went to the river?" Summer asked politely.

The boy didn't move nor acknowledge the question asked of him, preferring to stay silent. Her shoulders slumped as she started washing his back.

"You can tell me you know, there's no need to be afraid."

The boy lifted his head from his knees ever so slightly, his eyes moved from one side of the bathroom to the other. Seeing that she had no Ill intentions, or so it seems, he replied lowly.

"It… it was… the way I did it...ever sense…," he didn't say more, nor did he need to.

Summer let out breath before gently humming with understanding.

"Well, there's no need for that anymore, ok?"

The boy nodded, placing the thought deep into his mind.

"Do you have a name? I'd like to call you something other than 'little one' or 'kid'."

"Three…," he started, "my longer name is three-four-three-Gee-Ehss-one-one-six."

Summer frowned at that.

"That seems more like a designation than a name."

"It's the only other name I went by…, but others called me 'monster'." He replied.

Summer sighed but brightened up with a smile.

"Well, I'm not calling you either of those, what would you like to be called?"

The boy let his head come to his knees.

"I…, I don't know…, no one ever gave me a choice of a name… monsters don't deserve them..."

Summer sighs, allowing her mind to wonder.

"He always had to wash himself in a river in his old village, no doubt at the risk of Grimm, not to mention he had to hide and put on a brave face when Qrow and I found him. Not to mention putting up an effort to live this long in such a hostile village."

Then a idea clicked like a lid to a container.

"Well, how about Duron? Duron Kaida? It means 'Courageous little Dragon'. Yang would need a big brother after all."

The boy looked at her as if she was insane.

"But…., But I'm a monster! I look Inhuman! I don't deserve a name! Don't you understand that!?!"

She still smiled, letting a soapy hand come to his cheek.

"Child, everyone deserves a name, you are no monster, because all I see is a little boy who just needs a little love and care."

His eyes widened as his tears started to flow, he breathed in through his nose to clear it of mucus trying to remain steadfast as his emotions started to run wild.

"But… but.. "

Summer shook her head.

"No buts, Duron, it's ok to let go of the past. There's no need to hold onto those old memories."

"But… look at me! I'm hideous! They called me a monster because I am one! I look like one! The other kids got baths because they look normal! I'm a freak of nature! So why!? Why are you not scared of me!? No one cared about me and those that do leave me! So why!?! I don't understand!"

Summer pulled him in for a hug, letting him cry away, patting and rubbing his scared back. She began to start humming before singing along in the tune she was humming. The more she angelically sang, the more tightly he hugged back. He hung onto every word she spoke. Each syllable filled with compassion and love he had never felt before as he slowly started to fall asleep to the sweet lullaby.

"The suns have set, the day is done, the pink gives way to grey

The beasts of fields find warren warm, to keep the chill at Bay.

But you are not a beast, and you are not the sky~

You are your mother's love made flesh, fragile as a sigh.

And so you need no Warren, Only mother's warm embrace.

A soft cacoon of nursle, our hearts a like in pace

So I hold you mother strong, love a beacon burning bright.

Second only to our, moons eternal light

And so I hold you young one, in our moon's eternal light, Guard you as you slumber dear, in our moon's eternal light

Wake soon my young so rested, in our moon's eternal light

Feel my mother warmth my dear, in our moon's eternal light

Your mother must retire now, let you pass the night onwards.

But love will keep our hearth alive, if this our heart we stirred.

For you are not alone my nymph, neath your chest out love does beat, so mother never stray too far, though distant we may be.

And we'll embrace in night's retreat, and the skies are blue once more, when Twilight grounds and fear deceit, against the evening foreign shores.

So shed no tear now young one, you're within my eversight, for love already carried by, our moon's eternal light."

Once he did, Summer dried him off, put the clean clothes on him, and tucked him into a bed in the guest room. Looking back, seeing him at peace for once made her smile. Her heart filled with joy slowly closed the door to let him dream for once thoughts of pure unadulterated happiness and love.
