The young Shiba sister in her First High uniform heads outside to investigate the falling star. As she approaches where it lands, she sees a small round pink bubblegum looking creature with stubby arms and red feet.
Miyuki: What is that?
The pink fella looks over at Miyuki, curious.
Kirby: Poyo?
Miyuki: Hello.
Kirby: Hi!
He waves to her with a smile. She walks up to him and bends down to get a closer look. The little guy's cuteness made Miyuki smile.
Miyuki: You came from another world, didn't you?
The pink creature nods his head.
Miyuki: My name is Miyuki.
Kirby: Kirby!
Miyuki: Oh. That's your name?
He nods.
Miyuki: It's nice to meet you. Did you come here in that falling star?
Kirby: Mmhmm!
Miyuki: I see. Come with me. There's a building nearby and it's really late.
Kirby: Poyo!
The shiba sister takes her little pink friend back to her room. Then, the next day, Sonic goes on his 7:00 AM run around Emerald Hill Zone, collecting rings and spinning through loops.
Sonic: WOOOO! 30 years later and I'm still rockin it!
He approaches some buzz bombers and moto bugs.
Sonic: Heh!
Using his spin attack, he takes them all out and sets the captive animals free.
Sonic: That's what it's all about. Huh?
He sees something glowing.
Sonic: What's that over there?
He approaches the glowing object, finding it to be a certain gem.
Sonic: That's a...
Meanwhile, Kirito, Eugeo, Ichika, Tails, Knuckles, Mighty, and Ray wake up.
Ichika: Morning guys.
Kirito: Where's Sonic?
Mighty: He's on his early morning run.
Kirito: Oh.
Tatsuya, Mikihiko, Leo, Jaune, Ren, and Oscar show up.
Jaune: Morning everyone.
Leo: Everyone sleep well?
Kirito: We did. Aside from Sonic and Tails doing that megaphone prank on me and Ichika. With a stink bomb.
Tails: Heheh... That was worth it though.
Oscar: I guess this happens all the time, eh?
Eugeo: It was like this in the Underworld. Especially the time when Sonic, Mighty, and Ray tossed Kirito into a pond during out picnic with Ronie and Tiese.
Kirito: Yeeeaaahhhh... I don't think we need to discuss that.
Knuckles: Wait. You guys literally...
Ray: Yep! We did!
They all laugh really hard. As they do, the rest of the boys show up.
Falco: Hey guys.
Mercury: You all seem to be in a good mood today.
Sora: So, what's so funny?
Tails: Nothing much. Just talking about embarrassing Kirito moments.
Agil: Honestly...
?: Really? I gotta listen in on this.
Cardinal, Cinder, Chifuyu, and Maya come.
Cardinal: You know, I know plenty of embarrassing Kirito stories from Asuna.
Kirito: I'm sorry, WHAT?! What exactly did she tell you?!
Chifuyu: You know, we actually have some embarrassing Ichika moments ourselves at the academy. And we'd be more delighted to share them with you all.
Ichika: ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
Goofy: A-hyuck! This I gotta hear!
The blue blur arrives.
Sonic: Oh where do we begin?! We have plenty to go around!
Kirito: Where the heck did you come from?!
Sonic: Hey Tails. Knock knock.
Tails: Who's there?
Sonic: Three.
Tails: Three who?
He tosses an emerald to his best friend who catches it.
Sonic: Three down.
Tails: Where'd you find this?
Sonic: During my run in Emerald Hill Zone.
Mickey: What is that?
Mighty: A Chaos Emerald.
Riku: Chaos Emerald?
Sora: Strange. I can feel lots of power coming from inside that gem.
Knuckles: There are 7 of them in all. Each of them contain unlimited power.
Chifuyu: This works out. We will have the upper hand against the army if we collect them all.
Terra: Then that's just what we gotta do.
They hear some commotion.
Klein: There sure is a lot of commotion from the girls room.
Tatsuya: They haven't even come out yet. What even are they doing?
Roxas: Should we go check in on them?
Sonic: I'll do it.
The blue hedgehog runs over to the girls room and knocks on the door. Once he does, Pyrrha answers.
Pyrrha: Oh, hello Sonic.
Sonic: Hey, uh... The guys are getting breakfast ready and what is that?
He points at the little pink fella.
Leafa: He's really cute, isn't he?
Cecilia: I've never seen anything like it before in my life.
Miyuki: I found him last night. His name is Kirby. Kirby, that's Sonic.
Kirby: Hi!
Amy, Kairi, Charlotte, and Rin: So cute!
Sonic: Uh huh... Okay...
Honoka and Shizuku stroke its cheeks.
Honoka: Hehehe!
Sonic: Okay. I guess I came at a bad time. I'll let you all uh... Play with the little guy for a while longer.
Aqua: Oh, don't worry. We're coming right now.
Sonic: Okay.
At breakfast, Kirby became the center of everyone's attention. The pink fella ate about 27 pancakes and eggs and still is not full.
Tails: Soooo... How big is that guys stomach, exactly?
Sonic: I have no idea.
The tiny Shino Asada ends up full after eating a tiny bit of her oversized pancake.
Shino: I can't eat anymore of this.
Lisbeth: Wow. It doesn't even look like a bite was eaten off your pancake.
Shino: I'm 1 inch tall. What do you expect?
Tatenashi: Oh no worries, Sinon. We'll get you all fixed up. Eventually.
Charlotte: But does anyone know a way we can grow her back to normal?
Sonic: Well the only place we know is Metallic Madness Zone, but...
Knuckles: It's all the way up in Little Planet and there are too many traps?
Sonic: Yeah.
Mickey: Well, stopping the Subspace Army is our top priority. We need to gather as many people as we can, and fast.
Kirby: Poyo! Poyo!
Miyuki: Huh? You're going to help us too, Kirby?
He nods his head.
Tiese: Are you sure? It's going to be really dangerous.
Fox: Something tells me the little guy's stronger than he looks.
Cardinal: Well, at any rate, our first task is to do some recruiting. According to the data that Tails decoded, we have a list of all the targets which the army is planning to go for. Among each of the names, Sonic, Fox, Kirby, Ichika, Kirito, Asuna, Sora, Teams RWBY and JNPR, Tatsuya, and Miyuki are on the list.
Kirito: Wait! Me and Asuna are on the list?!
Miyuki: So are me and my brother?!
Silica: H-Hold on! W-Why are they on the list?!
Blake: It's because we pose a threat to the army.
Ren: That would likely be the case. We are the ones who vanquished Salem, Ichika can wield an IS, Tatsuya, Miyuki, and their friends have magic skills, Sonic has the power to harness the Chaos Emeralds, and he, Kirito, and Asuna are the ones who cleared SAO. And I don't really know about Sora, Kirby, or Fox.
Goofy: Well, Sora can wield a keyblade, and he defeated Xehanort.
Fox: And me and Star Fox have been fighting against Star Wolf for a long time now.
Kirby: Poyo.
Cardinal: Since Sonic has the power to harness the Chaos Emeralds, he stands at the very top of the list.
Sonic: Yeah. That's honestly not very surprising.
Mizuki: So that would make him our trump card?
Cardinal: Aye.
Donald: What's so important about these Chaos Emeralds anyway?
Knuckles: These seven emeralds contain vast unlimited power. They're all tied to the Master Emerald, which is the one giant gem that controls the Chaos Emeralds. When one uses the emeralds, they can be used for powering machines, and traveling through time and space. If Sonic uses all seven of them, he can transform into his super form.
Mighty: Super Sonic.
Mikihiko: Super Sonic... I see. These emeralds must be ancient relics.
Strea: You can tell?
Mikihiko: Me and my family know very well about ancient magic. However, we've never even seen anything like this before.
Tails: Ancient magic...
Falco: What about the Master Emerald?
Knuckles: The Master Emerald stays at the Hidden Palace Zone on Angel Island.
Mighty: Shouldn't you be guarding it right now, Knuckles?
Knuckles: I would be guarding it if we weren't facing a massive emergency. And this is definitely a massive emergency.
Mighty: Makes sense.
Knuckles: So the Master Emerald is what keeps Angel Island floating in the sky.
Cardinal: We will be searching for the rest of the people on this list. The list even shows where they are.
Yuuki: We're gonna have quite the trip, aren't we?
Asuna: Hehe! I already know that much.
Ray: And I bet you double, we're gonna need the last four Chaos Emeralds.
Sonic: Then we'd better get a move on fast if we even have a chance against the army.
