The group makes it out of the rift and in some strange world. It looks to be an underground subway, but looked very distorted.
Sonic: What a weird place.
Charlotte: Is this dimension really where these Phantom Thieves live?
Kirito: This definitely reminds me of Shin Megami Tensei, alright.
Tatsuya: Regardless, we need to find them and ask for their help.
Ichika: But how are we gonna find them?
Tails: We'll just have to find a way out of this subway place and ask around for clues.
Sonic: Sure. And that's gonna be a process. Come on, everybody. Let's...
Suddenly, a spring sends both Sonic and Tails flying in the air into oblivion.
Sonic and Tails: AHHHHHHHHHH!
Kirito: SONIC!
Houki: TAILS!
?: Over there!
Miyuki: Huh?! What's that?
A large group of shadowy monsters approach them, ready to attack them.
Shadow: Intruders! Let's get rid of them!
Charlotte: What are these things?!
Kirito: I don't know. But they're definitely hostile. Let's take them down!
Ichika, Houki, and Charlotte deploy their IS' while Kirito and Asuna unsheathe their swords, and Miyuki and Tatsuya ready their CAD's
Tatsuya: Let's go.
Meanwhile, a group of masked people in a talking car drive through the distorted world.
Oracle: The energy readings I got should be around here somewhere. There also seems to be some life readings nearby.
Fox: If they're not shadows, then what are they?
Joker: Whatever they are, we should be careful on what we do next.
Mona: Joker's right. We don't know who or what they are, so let's proceed with caution. Don't be reckless, Skull.
Skull: Hey! Stop calling out on me, you...
?: AHHHH!
Something bounces hits the top of the car.
Panther: What was that?!
The talking car stops the vehicle and everybody inside heads out. Then, the car transforms into a masked cat.
Sophie: Over there!
They find the hedgehog and fox unconscious.
Noir: What are they?
Skull: They seem just like Mona. All cartoony...
Mona: HEY!
Queen: Wait a minute. Is it me or do they look... familiar?
Joker: Hmm... Now that you mention it, I think I've seen them somewhere before.
Oracle: A blue hedgehog, and an orange fox with two tails...
Suddenly, they all gasp.
Skull: No way! I know them!
Oracle: Me too! Is it really...?!
They all get a closer look at the two unconscious creatures.
Sonic: Nnngh...
Panther: Well what do you know? It really is them!
Queen: Oracle. These aren't cognitions, right?
Oracle: No. I'm scanning them and they aren't! They're real!
Skull: I can't believe it! It's really Sonic and Tails!
Fox: How is this possible? Aren't they fictional characters?
Oracle: They are, but...
Joker: Very strange.
The hedgehog and fox both start getting up.
Noir: They're waking up!
Sonic: Ugh... You okay, Tails?
Tails: Yeah. But we'd better go find the others... Uh...
The duo and the masked group stare at each other for a moment.
Sonic: Okay. I think we were right about the Shin Megami Tensei thing.
Tails: Yeah.
Joker: You're Sonic and Tails, right?
Sonic: Oh, you guys know about us? Does that mean we exist in this world too?
Noir: Exist?
Skull: You saying you're from another world?
Tails: Well, yeah. From another dimension. But we're here because we're looking for this group called the Phantom Thieves.
Sonic: And judging by your masks, I'm guessing you guys are...
Oracle: Yep!
Sonic: That was the quickest find we've ever been on.
Tails: I know.
Queen: So you both came from another dimension?
Fox: And you came to search for us? But why?
Sonic: It's a long story, but right now we need to regroup with the others.
Joker: There are other people with you?
Sonic: Yeah. We'll fill you guys in on the way. By the way, what are your names?
Joker: I'm Joker. I'm the leader of the Phantom Thieves.
Mona: My name's Mona.
Skull: I'm Skull. What's up?
Panther: I'm Panther.
Queen: Queen. Nice to meet you.
Fox: I'm Fox.
Oracle: Oracle.
Noir: Noir.
Sophie: My name is Sophie. It's really nice to meet you.
Sonic: Okay. Let's go and find the others.
Back with the rest of the group...
Miyuki: Niflheim!
Using her ice magic ability, Miyuki freezes a large mass of shadows, and afterwards, Tatsuya takes them all out using Molecular Divider.
Tatsuya: We're finished over here.
Ichika: HRRRAAAGH!
Houki: HYAH!
Ichika and Houki take out a huge number of shadows with their swords.
Houki: Got them.
Charlotte: Look out!
Finally, Charlotte takes out the last 3 shadows that attempted to strike the other 2 IS pilots.
Ichika: Thanks, Charl.
Charlotte: Of course! Now all that's left is...
The group takes a look at the two SAO players.
Kirito: Asuna! Switch!
Asuna: I got this!
Asuna uses her 4-hit sword skill, Quadruple Pain against one of the shadows, defeating it.
Asuna: Switch!
Kirito moves in takes out 6 shadows using Black Howling Assault.
Kirito: That's all of them.
The duo sheathes their swords, and Ichika and his two girlfriends deactivate their IS'.
Houki: You two seemed perfectly in sync during that fight.
Asuna: We were, weren't we?
Tatsuya: I agree with Houki. You two seem to make the perfect partners in combat.
Miyuki: You both must have the utmost trust in each other, do you?
Ichika: Well, they're lovers so it's natural that they do.
Kirito: Ahaha...
Charlotte: Well, in any case, we'd better look for Sonic and Tails. They can't have gone too far.
?: Hey!
The hedgehog and fox arrive, with the group of masked people.
Kirito: Oh hey! We were just about to go look for you guys.
Tails: Did we miss anything?
Houki: Nothing too serious. Just had a battle with a bunch of shadowy monsters.
Sonic: Cool.
Houki: But those masked people... Who are they?
Skull: We're the guys you've been looking for.
Mona: We're the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.
Tails: Good thing that random spring thing sent us on the right path. Heh! Spring thing...
After everybody introduces themselves...
Noir: It's really nice to meet you all. And umm... Asuna, right?
Asuna: Oh, yes?
Noir: Hmm... Very strange.
Asuna: You noticed it too, huh?
Skull: Woah man! Their voices are the same.
Sonic: I don't know who sounds the same. Asuna and Queen, or Asuna and Noir.
And indeed, Noir's Japanese voice is the same as Asuna's, while Queen's English voice is the same as Asuna's.
Queen: Very strange indeed.
Joker: So about the topic at hand...
They hear someone's phone ringing.
Sonic: That's mine. Hang on.
The hedgehog activates video chat and...
Administrator: Greetings, Hedgehog.
Sonic: Administrator?! How did you get my number?!
Administrator: I have my ways. I can see that you and your friends are on a recruitment journey.
Panther: Who is that?
Tails: She's really bad news, let me tell you.
Administrator: Don't think you have a chance against us even with all these friends you are gaining.
Ichika: You're gonna pay for what you did to the IS Academy!
Administrator: You really shouldn't threaten someone who's more powerful than you.
Kirito: Don't start underestimating us. You've done more than enough damage to the Underworld, and you've already lost your position. If you think the army can help you achieve your goal, you better think twice.
Administrator: Hmph! Well you know, Irregular Boy, I'm sure that someone you and that blue rat know very very well would say otherwise.
Sonic: Who are you talking about?
Administrator: The army has broken someone out of jail. I won't say his name, but I'm sure you know him well. Very soon, you will all lose. We have more than enough help.
The call ends.
Fox: What's going on? Who was that?
Sonic: Well...
Suddenly, Sonic gets another call, this time from Knuckles.
Knuckles: Hey! How are you guys holding up?
Sonic: Hey Knuckles. We got the Phantom Thieves here with us right now.
Knuckles: Okay. Well listen closely. You too, Kirito.
Kirito: What's going on?
Knuckles: You're really not going to like this. We just heard from Kikuoka that Nobuyuki Sugou has escaped jail.
Hearing that causes Sonic, Tails, Kirito, and Asuna to gasp.
Asuna: S-Sugou?!
Kirito: Knuckles. You better be joking right now.
The Black Swordsman starts sounding very angry.
Knuckles: We heard that someone broke him out.
Kirito: Please tell me it wasn't someone from the army.
Knuckles: It was the Administrator.
Kirito: You son of a...
Charlotte: Nobuyuki Sugou?
Houki: Wasn't he the man who kidnapped 300 SAO players and experimented on them?
Joker: Excuse me.
Sonic: Uh, yeah Joker?
Joker: We're a little confused right now. Who was that on the phone before? And who is Nobuyuki Sugou, and what is this SAO?
Sonic: We'll tell you guys everything on the way. You're not doing anything right now, right?
Mona: No. Not right now. But where are we going?
Tails: To our dimension.
The young Shiba sister opens up the rift.
Kirito: If it's too much for you guys to handle, you don't have to come.
Joker: Hmm... What do you all think?
Fox: This may seem strange, but we are involved in this.
Oracle: We'll go.
Skull: I'm in. Besides, we're this army's targets.
Queen: I'm in too.
Panther: So am I.
Noir: I guess we're all in.
Mona: I guess it's settled then.
Sonic: Then let's get a move on.
