Meanwhile, Mighty, Ray, Honoka, Shizuku, Rin, Cecilia, and Laura go on their recruitment mission somewhere in the Mushroom Kingdom.
Mighty: This is just unbelievable. We have a big bad army to deal with and now we're hearing that Sugou is out of jail?!
Ray: We already dealt with that creep twice! Why do we have to deal with him again?
Cecilia: You seem to know this Sugou very well. Is he your enemy?
Mighty: You better believe it. If Kirito hears about this, he's definitely gonna be angry. After all, we know about what he did to all those 300 SAO players after we cleared the game. And especially to Asuna. Forcefully trying to marry her... Not to mention a few months ago when he broke out and kidnapped Yui.
Honoka: That's just awful!
Shizuku: A man like him should be ashamed of himself.
Laura: How despicable. Experimenting on all those players, plus a friend of ours? He's just beyond despicable.
Ray: Exactly what we're all saying.
Cecilia: Well whatever the case may be, we will find him and put him in his place.
Mighty: Exactly what we plan to do. But we got stuff to do first.
Rin: Right. So the next people we gotta look for on that list are named Mario and Luigi. According to that, they're both brothers that live around here in the Mushroom Kingdom.
Mighty: Hmm... Where do you think they might be?
Ray: Hold on. I think I see something up in the distance.
The yellow squirrel takes out a pair of binoculars and sees what looks to be an airship circling around a castle.
Ray: Uh oh. Looks like that castle over there is under attack!
Mighty: That's not good! We'd better get over there, fast! Let's go!
As Mighty jumps, he hits a yellow question mark block which then turns to brown. Once it does, a red mushroom comes out from the top and falls on Honoka's head. Just as it hits her, she ends up growing really big.
Honoka: Umm... What just happened? Why am I so big?
Laura: I've heard this place has some interesting wonders. Those blocks can either have coins or mushrooms. You just consumed a super mushroom. Interacting with it makes you grow big.
Mighty: That's odd.
Shizuku: Forget about that right now. We need to go.
At the castle, a big mean turtle with horns and a spiky shell kidnaps a princess wearing pink, and two plumbers try to rescue her.
Bowser: Mwahahahahaha! This time, the princess is mine!
Peach: Mario! Luigi!
Mario: Let-a her go, Bowser!
Bowser: I don't think that will be necessary. Besides, I'm working with some friends! Set the bomb!
A duo of R.O.B's fly down with a subspace bomb and activate it.
Luigi: Oh no! It's-a bomb!
Bowser: Mwahahaha! Enjoy the explosion, plumbers!
Bowser begins to fly away with Peach in the airship.
Peach: No!
Mario: Peach!
Bowser: Hahahaha! Huh?
A barrage of lasers strike the airship.
Bowser: What the... What's going on?!
He looks in his hands and notices the princess isn't there anymore.
Bowser: Huh?! Where's Princess Peach?!
?: Don't think you'll be taking her!
The armadillo with a red shell carries the princess.
Bowser: Who are you?!
Mighty: Just a friend who's here to help.
He jumps down to the castle ground with the princess.
Bowser: Curse you!
Peach: Thank you so much!
The rest of the group shows up.
Cecilia: There's a bomb here!
Shizuku: I will take care of it.
Shizuku uses a magic ability to deactivate the bomb.
Bowser: What?! Curse you interlopers! Fire the cannons!
The airship's cannons fire at them, but Rin uses her Souten Gagetsu to deflect them back at him. With that, the airship explodes. As it does, Bowser falls down on the ground.
Bowser: Grrr! Blasted interlopers! I'm gonna...
He then flinches from seeing Super Honoka.
Honoka: I don't think so!
The giant female magic student grabs the evil monster and throws him into oblivion.
Bowser: GAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
Honoka: That wasn't too hard.
Shizuku: The bomb is deactivated. So are the robots.
Mighty: Good. Looks like the castle is safe.
Mario: Who are you people?
Mighty: Oh. Yeah. I'm Mighty. These are my friends. We came here for two things. One is that we helped you take down that mean monster guy.
Luigi: That was Bowser.
Honoka: I can tell you know him. Does he always cause trouble like this?
Mario: He always tries to kidnap the princess and take over the Mushroom Kingdom.
Honoka: I see.
Mario: Thank you all for-a helping us, though.
Mighty: Anytime.
Luigi: By the way. You-a said you're here for-a something else too? What is it?
Mighty: Oh yeah. We're looking for Mario and Luigi. We're trying to recruit them to help us take on a group called the Subspace Army. I can see that your Bowser friend is working for them.
Mario: That's-a us! We're-a Mario and Luigi.
Ray: You guys are Mario and Luigi? That's great!
Mario: But what is-a this Subspace Army?
Peach: Yes. I would like to know as well if that's okay.
Laura: Very well. We will tell you.
They fill them in on all the news.
Mario: Mama-Mia!
Luigi: This is-a bad! No wonder Bowser's tactics seemed-a different from before.
Mighty: That's why we're asking for your help. We're trying to recruit everyone that's on the army's kill list. If it's alright with you guys, could you please come with us?
Mario: If Bowser is-a involved, then I'm-a in.
Luigi: Me too.
Peach: I'll come with you too.
Cecilia: You're coming too, Princess? Are you sure? What about the kingdom?
Peach: Oh don't worry. I'm actually a bit of a fighter myself. I can trust the Toad's to look after the castle while I'm away.
Mario: Don't-a worry. She will be okay with us.
Cecilia: Okay then...
Honoka: Umm... What about me? I'm too big?
Peach: I think we will have something that can fix that. I'll have the Toad's bring a mushroom that will turn you back to normal size.
Honoka: Thank you very much, Princess Peach.
Mighty: Alright. We better fix Honoka and head back to West Side Island and report in to Cardinal and Miss Orimura. We have a huge group of friends you guys would love to meet as well.
Ray: We got lots of people on our side right now, and we're getting even more.
Mario: Great! Then let's-a-go!
