In the morning the day after returning to West Side Island, Kirito wakes up to find Asuna, Yuuki, Ichika, Miyuki, Eugeo, and Noir watching him sleep.
Asuna: Good morning, Kirito.
Noir: Good morning.
Kirito: Hey. What are you all doing here?
Eugeo: We came to check up on you.
Ichika: Yeah. You doing okay?
Kirito: I'm fine. Thanks.
Miyuki: More importantly...
The young Shiba sister points right next to Kirito on his bed, seeing Little Yui sleeping with her wounds all healed up thanks to Cardinal.
Kirito: Ahaha...
Asuna: Oh Yui...
Noir: She's all healed. I'm so glad...
Eugeo: It's awful. That she had to get involved in all of this.
Miyuki: I feel really ashamed.
Yuuki: But now she's back so everything's going to be okay.
Miyuki: I hope it will.
A day earlier, Sonic's group returns to West Side Island in the Halberd. Some of his friends at the island end up getting skeptical.
Mighty: Uh oh. That airship looks very familiar.
Chifuyu: Don't worry. It's not who you think this time.
Coming from the airship is Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and the rest of their group, plus the Chaotix, Violet, Meta Knight and the Black Swordsman holding onto the little girl.
Sonic: Sup everyone!
Ray: You guys stole the armies airship?
Joker: Actually, we took it back from them. Supposedly, they stole the airship from this knight right here.
Meta Knight: It's back in my possession now.
Mickey: Were you able to blow up the bomb factory?
Vector: Yep. Now we won't have to worry about any more bombing disasters.
Mighty: Vector?! Espio and Charmy as well?! Where the heck have you guys been?!
Espio: Rocket League. A while later we came across this masked girl and that knight.
Violet: Hello, everyone.
Phantom Thief Fox: Violet? Is that you?
Oracle: How did you even get here?
Violet: It's kind of a long story.
Yu: Well, we still need to take care of those giant portals.
Sonic: Here's the good news! We now have all of the 7 Chaos Emeralds. And we got Yui ba...
Kirito: CARDINAL! WHERE'S CARDINAL?!
Leafa: She's insi... Oh my god!
Everybody focuses their attention to little Yui, all hurt and covered in cuts and bruises.
Laura: Y-Yui?
Noir: So that's Yui?
Kanji: Woah... This is just...
Tsubaki: What have they done to her?! This is horrible!
Noel: She's just a little girl... Why did this happen to her?
Sophie: She must get medical treatment immediately. You will find Cardinal inside at the library.
Kirito: Okay. Asuna! Let's go!
Asuna: Okay!
Leafa: I'll go with you!
The young couple and the little sister rushes to the library with Yui. There, they find Cardinal and Team RWBY along with Sinon, Spiegel, Eugeo and Alice.
Asuna: CARDINAL!
Her voice draws everyones attention, which they then see the injured Yui.
Blake: MY GOD!
Sinon: YUI!
The little pontifex walks to them.
Cardinal: Come with me! I will heal her!
She takes Kirito and Asuna with them so they can rest Yui and heal her. As they leave, Sonic comes in.
Eugeo: Sonic... What happened to her?
Sonic: You can ask Nobuyuki Sugou about that. In fact, we brought him with us so we can turn him in. Tails is calling Kikuoka right now.
Alice: Absurd...
Weiss: I can't imagine a more horrible person right now than Sugou.
Tears begin to come out of Ruby's eyes.
Ruby: Poor Yui...
Meanwhile, at Yui's bed, Cardinal focuses on healing the child's wounds, while Kirito and Asuna holds her hand.
Asuna: Yui...
Kirito: Yui... You're gonna be okay now. Daddy and Mommy are here.
Hearing their voices, the small angel slowly opens her eyes. After seeing them right next to her, a tear begins to come out of her eye as she feels so much pain.
Yui: Mommy... Daddy...
Asuna: It's okay, dear.
Some of their friends show up and they start feeling hurt after seeing Yui in such a state.
Silica: Oh Yui...
Lisbeth: Why... Why her?
Philia: Will she be alright?
Cardinal: She will be fine with some rest after she's healed. I promise.
Back in the present day, Sonic, Tails, Mario, Luigi, and Ichika's girl friends walk down the hallway.
Charlotte: How is Yui?
Tails: She's getting better. Her wounds are all healed up.
Cecilia: I'm so sorry that such horrible things had to happen to her.
Rin: She must be happy now that she's with her young parents again.
Mario: I can-a picture her smile already.
Houki: Yeah. I remember seeing her face on the day of the fireworks show. She looked so happy that she was with Kirito and Asuna.
Sonic: I know she was born as an AI, but very deep down, you can feel the love from her.
Tatenashi: Well to be honest, I'm glad she's still their child, even after Sword Art Online.
Luigi: She does have-a wonderful parents after all.
Laura: Maybe someday, when one of us gets with Ichika, we'll have children that are as sweet as Little Yui.
Kanzashi: L-Laura...
Charlotte: Laura, do you have to explain that in front of them?
Houki: Well, it's not like Ichika will hear our voices anytime soon.
Tails: I feel really sorry for you girls. Ichika's one dense clown.
Rin: You're not wrong about that. Still, he's a nice guy. And honestly, I'm glad that he's got more guys to talk to. He doesn't have many guy friends. And Dan's the only one we know.
Sonic: Yeah. I'm glad to be friends with him too.
They meet up with everyone for breakfast.
Peach: Good morning, everyone!
Orie: It sure is a peaceful day.
Ruby: Oh my... Me, Alice, Orie, and Tsubaki worked really hard making breakfast for everyone. It's a good thing we got Noel away from the kitchen.
Noel: I don't understand why nobody wants me to cook!
Tsubaki: Umm...
Makoto: Well, uh...
Mai: Noel's right! I absolutely love her death meals!
Noel: See?! Mai's on my side at least!
Sonic: What's wrong with Noel's cooking?
Ragna: Trust me. You really don't want to know. You don't even want to look at it.
Sonic: Huh...
Amy: Hi Sonic!
The pink hedgehog runs up to Sonic, hugging him.
Sonic: Oh for crying out loud...
Amy: I hoped you slept well last night!
Sonic: Yeah. I did.
Amy: Seeing Yui in so much pain really broke my heart, but I'm so glad she's back safe.
Sonic: Yeah...
Mighty: That reminds me... Is Yui doing fine?
Tails: She's all healed up, thankfully. Sleeping with her Dad too.
Bean: That's a relief.
Sonic: By the way, what's going on with Sugou right now?
Vector: Well Kikuoka said that they're putting him in a maximum security prison. And for breaking out of jail again, kidnapping Yui and torturing her, and working with the Subspace Army, he's being sentenced for life in solitary confinement.
Mikihiko: Shouldn't Robotnik and the others face charges for what happened with Yui as well?
Sonic: They weren't involved. In fact, when we got on the airship and asked about Yui, you could see how much they regretted it just by looking at their faces.
Hyde: I didn't really think they'd have regret like that.
Sonic: Trust me. Even they aren't that cruel as bad guys.
Tails: Yeah. They wouldn't even go so far as to torture a kid. But Sugou definitely would.
Jin: Well, brother. Since we're not fighting the army today...
Kisaragi stands up and points his sword at the white haired man in red.
Jin: Let's finally kill each other!
Tails: Woah! What?!
Ragna: You really wanna do this now?
Donald: Hey! What's going on?!
Goofy: Yeah! Why does Jin want to kill Ragna?
Weiss: Sibling affairs. I'll be honest, I don't know what kind of relationship they have.
Jin: What's wrong, brother? Too scared?
Ragna: Fine. Let's settle this, you brat. But in a family friendly way.
In a game of Street Fighter, Ragna's character, Ken, wins against Jin's character, M Bison.
Ragna: Haha!
Jin: Curses! I've lost again.
Ragna: Do you even know how command inputs work in a fighting game?
Sora: Didn't see this coming.
Sonic: You're telling me...
Jin: Let us go again, brother! This time, I will defeat you!
Ragna: I already won 3 games and you still wanna go?
Ichika: What's the point if he's that bad?
Kirito, Asuna, Yui, Yuuki, Miyuki, and Noir show up.
Miyuki: Good morning, everyone.
Mighty: Nice of you to join us. We're hosting an esports competition between Ragna and Jin right now.
Yuuki: Well look who's feeling better already.
Yui: U-Umm... Umm...
Rise: Oh! She's adorable!
Queen: That's Yui, right?
Noir: You wouldn't believe the smile on her face when she saw Kirito and Asuna after she woke up.
Sonic: How are you, Yui?
The child runs into Sonic's arms.
Yui: Sonic!
Sonic: Looks like you're doing great. Nice to see that smile on your face. And no need to be shy. These people are all nice.
Yui: Oh! Did you know that Miyuki's a fairy?
Sonic: Fairy? Miyuki?
Yui: It's true! She really is a fairy!
Miyuki: Hehe... My goodness...
Tails: What's the deal with that?
Miyuki: I showed Yui-chan a video of my Mirage Bat match from the Nine Schools Competition.
Sonic: You don't say?
Asuna: Yeah. Miyuki had flying magic as her trump card. She dressed and flew so beautifully, just like a fairy.
Kirito: We know that Yui's a fairy herself.
Noir: Oh yes. Asuna showed us a picture of Yui-chan's kitty cat avatar in Alfheim Online. She's so cute!
Joker: Kitty cat avatar?
Tails: The race Yui chose for her ALO avatar is the Cait Sith race. Basically, they have cat ears and a tail.
Panther: Woah... That sounds so cute! Show us, Asuna!
Linne: Can I see as well?
Orie: Please, show us!
Makoto: I definitely wanna see!
Noel: So do I!
Aqua: Show us! Please!
Kairi: I want to see it too!
All of the girls crowd around Asuna.
Asuna: E-Everyone, calm down! I'll show it to you all in a bit!
Erika: Don't forget about us!
Mizuki: Yes! I would like to see!
Charlotte: Now I want to pet little Yui!
Laura: Me too!
The little child starts blushing.
Kirito: Haha! Yui really is the cutest one here.
Ichika: I'll tell you. She picked the perfect avatar for ALO.
Lisbeth: You should see Alice, Sinon, Silica, Spiegel. They also have Cait Sith avatars.
Leo: I can see that Snow has that avatar as well.
They look at Rain stroking his boyfriends cat ears while he sips a cup of coffee.
Tatsuya: Not only that, but Makoto is part squirrel and that Blake is part cat.
Yang: Yeah. Blake and Makoto pretty cute.
Blake: Uh... Right...
Pyrrha: Well, I'm glad Yui-chan's back safe and sound.
Ren: That's what's important now.
Kirito: I still feel like it was my fault that she was taken.

Kirito: I should have brought Yui to a much safer place. If I did, then...
Sonic: Oh why don't you stop.
Kirito: Huh?
Sonic: You're blaming yourself once again you know. Luckily, I have just the thing to brighten the mood. How about we go for a run?
Kirito: A run?
Sonic: Yeah. A run. Me, you, even Asuna and Yui. I'm gonna take you three somewhere nice.
Kirito: Where exactly?
Sonic: I don't know. Somewhere in Green Hill Zone, that's for sure.
Kirito: You're not gonna pull a prank, are you?
Sonic: Nope.
Kirito: Oh... kay...? What do you think, Yui? Should we go?
Yui: Y-Yes! I want to go with you and Mommy!
Kirito: Okay. Then we'll go.
The Lightning Flash walks out of the crowd of Yui fans back to Kirito.
Asuna: My goodness... Everyone really loves Yui.
Kirito: Hey, Asuna. Sonic wants to take us somewhere. Me, you, and Yui.
Asuna: Really? Where?
Kirito: He said it's in Green Hill Zone. But didn't say where. We're just going for a run with him. And Yui wants to go.
Asuna: I see.
Sonic: Well? You guys comin or what?
Asuna: Yes. I'll go if they are.
Sonic: Alright then.
The blue hedgehog charges up his spin dash.
Sonic: Let's roll!
He takes off.
Kirito: Well, we'd better go after him.
Kirito hits a speed shoe monitor with his Elucidator and picks up Yui.
Yui: W-Woah!
Kirito: You ready, Asuna?
Asuna: Yes. Let's go.
Asuna also hits a speed shoe monitor with the Lambent Light, and the family of three takes off after Sonic.
Fang: Heh... Sure are some nice parents, eh?
Espio: You don't have to be related by blood to be a part of a family.
Amy: Yeah. That's true. Yui's so cute and sweet.
Yukiko: I'm sure that she and Nanako-chan would make great friends, don't you think so Narukami?
Yu: They sure would.
Arriving at Green Hill Zone, Sonic and the family of three run up to a very high point in the island with a very beautiful view of the land and the ocean.
Kirito: So this is South Island.
Sonic: Yep. My homeland.
Yui: Wow! Look! The view's so pretty!
Asuna: It sure is! You can see the whole island from up here. Even the ocean!
Kirito: This looks like the perfect place for a picnic.
Sonic: You bet it is.
Kirito: But Sonic... Why did you even bring us here in the first place?
Sonic: Well, that's because I thought you all could use a break. You went through all the trouble to rescue Yui, so I thought I'd take you three to a nice place to relax for a while.
Asuna: We weren't really expecting this.
Sonic: Well, what else?
Kirito: I dunno.
They all share a moment of laughter together.
Yui: What's so funny?
Kirito: Oh, it's nothing. We were just talking about how lovely Sonic's home is.
Yui: Oh...
Asuna: Thank you, Sonic. For bringing us here.
Sonic: Hey, it's nothing, really.
Asuna: No, really. Thank you so much. Dear Yui's happy now that she's here.
Sonic: Well, you're welcome. When this is all over, I'll have a special party ready. Everybody's invited.
Kirito: Heh! I can't wait.
Little Yui looks over at the view with a beautiful smile. She then closes her eyes and starts to sing a song, catching the attention of the other three.
Yui: Let's throw our cares to the wind cause we're not looking back. Hold on tight, cause we'll be speeding round on the track. Just don't let go, cause I know we'll be up all night dreaming, believing, and dashing in the blink of an eye.
Her beautiful voice makes both her parents and the blue hedgehog smile.
Kirito: I love you, Yui.
Asuna: We both love you so much.
