Kaminari sat next to Sero and Kirishima as the crowd seemed to grow in excitement from the upcoming fight. He glanced at his class, noting the lack of two predominant members of their class. He looked back down at the field, where they were walking up to meet each other.

Midoriya and Todoroki wasn't a fight Kaminari could see going over well for either party even if the favor was skewed in Todoroki's favor. No one actually knew how either quirk would mix but everyone likely had an idea on how Midoriya's quirk would work on the human body.

Nobody thought Todoroki had the ability to survive becoming a peppermint splatter on a wall.

"WELCOME LADIES AND GENTLEMEN TO THE SECOND ROUND OF THE FIGHTING TOURNAMENT! IT'S BEEN A BLOODBATH OF EPIC PROPORTIONS AND WE ARE STARTING OFF WITH A SHOW FOR THE CENTURY!" The crowd cheered under Present Mic's influence as the two boys stared at each other.

'Midoriya's shot looks like a mug shot…' Kaminari thought as he stared at the screen with the two competitors. Todoroki looked like he always did while Midoriya looked like he was held at gunpoint. It was rather hilarious to him actually.

"So who do you think will win this?" Ojiro asked the class.

"I don't care. I'll be happy to kill either one of them." Everyone drifted their attention to Bakugou as he tapped his fingers on his forearms while not giving them direct attention.

"Hey, just remember I'm your opponent next Bakugou! Who's to say you're going to win?" Bakugou looked at Kirishima out of the corner of his eye before returning his attention to the impending fight.

"Well, has anyone else got any inferences?" Yaoyorozu turned to her class. Uraraka looked particularly worried through her bandages even if it looked like her body was fighting off slumber. Iida remained stoic so there wasn't a clear sign on what he was thinking about.

"Well, I think Todoroki is going to win." Tsu spoke out. "Todoroki can outlast Midoriya. Midoriya probably has around 10 attacks he can do before he's out for the count."

"Ten? Why ten?" Ashido asked, puzzled. A moment of realization came over from Mineta as he stood in his seat.

"Is it because he only has ten fingers?" Tsu nodded. "He's not going to want to enclose the distance between them so he's going to want to use his quirk to make air blasts." She explained.

"That didn't stop Sero." Sero turned to Shouji as he pointed out that flaw. Bakugou scoffed at that which made Sero blush from embarrassment.

"I agree with you Tsu. Midoriya is going to break before Todoroki in the most literal sense." A few members of the class shivered at the image that popped into their head at Midoriya's mangled fingers after Yaoyorozu finished speaking.

"Hey, who knows? Maybe he'll figure out some genius plan and win like he did with that purple haired kid." People turned to Kaminari as he spoke out about Midoriya's case. Now he felt on the spot because of it.

"Yeah, like your fight had some genius planning?" Jirou spoke out to Kaminari's dismay. "Well yeah! I did have some thoughts about it." She chuckled at the idea. Kaminari growled in frustration and almost started to tell Jirou before he felt a kick in his shin. He glanced at Sero who looked at him with a face of concern. He thought for a second before he grumbled in defeat from Jirou's smug face.

"IN THE EAST SIDE, WE HAVE THE INDOMITABLE ICE AGE! THE SUB ZERO ASSASSIN, IT'S SHOTO TODOROKI!" Present Mic yelled to the crowd. 1-A looked down at their classmate who remained resolute. They turned their attention to Midoriya, who was slowly grabbing his wrist.

"Well, he's going to lose." Ashido claimed with the class nodding in agreement.

"AND IN THE WEST SIDE, WE HAVE THE GLASS CANNON! THE ONE-SHOT MONSTER, IT'S IZUKU MIDORIYA!" There was a very subtle flinch from Midoriya at the description of himself. He likely had the image that all of them had of his mangled body and Present Mic reaffirmed it.

"You know we're the ones facing west? The entrances to the field are north and south orientated." There was a moment of silence before a series of laughter erupted from the crowd at Aizawa's correction.

"Oh.." For the first time this entire festival, Present Mic didn't yell which seemed alien to Kaminari. He wondered how often he didn't blow out eardrums while outside and not fighting villains.

"WELL, LET'S START THIS FIGHT! MIDNIGHT, WOULD YOU?" They watched as Midnight brought her whip up and cracked it. In an instant, Todoroki acted. A wall of ice appeared behind him on the edge of the field as a separate amount of ice surged towards Midoriya. A boom erupted as a wall of air shattered the ice and pushed Todoroki back.

"Now starts the endurance match." Kirishima mumbled as another exchange occurred. They watched as the two clashed again and again. Todoroki was always pushed backwards but he would regain and exceed his starting point as he approached Midoriya. After five blows, they watched as Todoroki had managed to flock to Midoriya. The two were only near each other for a brief moment before Midoriya switched their initial positions by switching his hand and firing another blast.

'So he's got 4 hits left.' Kaminari decided. And true to that obvious deduction, four more bursts rang out. Even if it was faint, Kaminari could see small dots of deep crimson. Likely Midoriya's fingers. The two looked to be at a stalemate for a brief moment as the two seemed to talk. From the stands it was inaudible but there was a clear message from the apparent situation Midoriya was in now.

"Well, should I go get Recovery girl ready?" Tokoyami asked them. The only reply was a laugh from Bakugou. Everyone turned to him startled that he could even genuinely laugh like that. He smiled before it failed. He leaned forward and placed his hands over his mouth as he thought.

"Even if he's a pebble, that little Deku's crafty. He's adamant and has the vitality of a damn cockroach. It wouldn't surprise me if he still had ten tricks. Maybe more. Although this fight is starting to feel repetitive." Bakugou's analytical skills were impressive as he did think about that idea. With what Midoriya did in the mock trial it makes sense that he probably had some idea to topple the mighty Todoroki.

Another thunderous crack drew everyone's attention back to the fight. Todoroki was pushed back again from a surprising blast from Midoriya. They continued to watch Midoriya somehow attack several more times even with his cracked fingers. Everyone's stomach was starting to sink harder than what Uraraka was doing during her fight with Bakugou.

It just felt downright gut-wrenching.

"There has to be an alternative motive… there just has to be." The feeling of fear from Sero resonated with most in the class as the fight continued. Neither had hit each other at this point but Midoriya was in far worse condition than Todoroki. He seemed to be annoyed that the fight was going nowhere so Todoroki sprinted towards Midoriya on a path of ice. The ice shattered under his fifth attack but Todoroki took it to his advantage. He pushed himself up at the last minute and was only a few meters from the green haired teen. He only managed to get a couple meters before Todoroki came down and encased Midoriya's leg in ice. Everyone watched in horror as Midoriya clenched his crimson fist and threw a punch.

The shockwave was much more powerful than the ones that preceded it and it caused several hats in the stand to fly off their owners heads. Todoroki was knocked away but not far enough for anyone to feel comfortable. They watched once again as Todoroki sent ice to crash into Midoriya since he no longer had any fingers to use to save himself.

Apparently, that wasn't the case as Midoriya somehow had one more in his pocket. This time this one pushed both of them away from each other and nearly caused both to roll out of the field. Both of them stood up and stood for a second before the most bizarre happened.

Midoriya just started to run towards Todoroki. Todoroki met his foe and ran as well. That's when Bakugou chuckled. Everyone turned to him for info but he kept a dark looking smile plastered on his face.

"Deku did it. He found Icy Hot's weakness." Everyone's head whipped to the fight as they watched for the first time, Todoroki seemed to have made a mistake. Todoroki was in the air and Midoriya was within punching range. They all watched in horror for Todoroki's wellbeing as Midoriya punched him in the gut with his cracked fist.

"A DIRECT HIT! FINALLY SOME ACTION!"

But Todoroki didn't turn into that splatter. He tumbled away, only to be caught by his ice wall again. They could hear the faint yell of pain from Midoriya as he held up his fist. Somehow, his other arm was frozen so Todoroki must have gotten at least one blow in.

"Wait, did Todoroki survive Midoriya's punch?" Uraraka asked in confusion. Everyone shared her concern before it clicked with Kaminari.

Much like him, Midoriya must have the ability to choose the output for his quirk.

"Hey Sero, do you think Midoriya can control his strength? Maybe that's why Todoroki survived." Sero thought for a second before nodding. The two on the field seemed to be in a stalemate. Todoroki was unmoving while Midoriya looked to be talking to him and limb-running towards him.

"I would imagine so. I think most strength quirks are like that. I just didn't think that was the case with Midoriya since… his strength is much more severe than any other I have seen." The two of them focused more on the event ahead of them as the two were close enough for both to attack each other but they were just standing there. Then something seemed to happen. Smoke seemed to waft off of Todoroki before it quickly ignited.

A raging inferno erupted from the arena. A blinding light caused everyone to squint and they could even feel the intensity from the high stands. Kaminari's eyes widened as people realized the implications.

"WHAT? IS THAT?" Present Mic screamed in astonishment at the sight, much like everyone else in the stands.

"He's using his fire!" Uraraka yelled over the crowd. Bakugou's eyes widened in hunger as Iida mumbled at the incredible sight. A yell seemed to overpower all the murmurs of the crowd and everyone turned their attention to Endeavour as he walked down the stands.

"HAVE YOU FINALLY ACCEPTED YOUR PURPOSE? THAT'S IT, VERY GOOD! THIS IS THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA FOR US! WITH MY BLOOD IN YOUR VEINS, YOU'LL SURPASS ME. YOU'LL LIVE UP TO THE REASON WHY I CREATED YOU!" Endeavour slammed his hands on the guard rail and caused discomfort to all near him.

"I guess Endeavour is giving words of encouragement… What a doting father." That perfectly summed up everyone's attitude towards Endeavour at that moment and it came from Present Mic of all people. "There goes my desire to work under him." Kirishima mentioned to the class. Most nodded reluctantly to that after that declaration as the image of their perfect powerhouse became tainted and damaged.

The heat from Todoroki seemed to intensify as everyone watched as a crude wall of ice appeared behind Todoroki. Midoriya answered his call by creating a whirlwind as his pant leg ripped from the pressure.

Oh no.

They all watched as the wall of ice behind Todoroki rapidly grew in size, akin to the giant ice walls he made in the obstacle course and fight with Sero. Midoriya leapt over them and rushed towards Todoroki like a bullet. And then a warm glow intensified as the ice shattered around Todoroki. The entire crowd was silent, encapsulated in the climax of the fight.

"Well, you guys aren't going to have fun." No one had time to realize what Bakugou meant before several walls of stone appeared between the two. A white flash and loud shatter of sound caused the walls to shatter and raging whirlwinds to attack the stands. Kaminari barely managed to prepare himself while he heard several people in his class cry out in pain and several things hit the wall. His clothing flapped and he felt his hair fling back. His grip was being tested as he fought to keep his head up. Luckily for him, it didn't last long.

With the winds dying down, a cloud of mist covered the field. Midoriya and Todoroki were hidden from the crowd so it was silent. Kaminari took a look behind him to see the damage that was caused to his classmates. He saw that some of the smaller stature people in their class were flat out knocked out of their seats if they were far back enough. But most of the class popped out from behind the seats. The only people in the class he saw that just took it head on were him, Sero, Kirishima and Bakugou. Sero had managed to quickly tape himself to the seat and Kirishima managed to stay because he dug his hands and toes into the seat and floor with his quirk.

"Is everyone alright?" Yaoyorozu groaned as she pulled herself up. "No." Jirou bluntly answered, which caused Kaminari to slightly chuckle. Everyone managed to recover and looked at the field. The mist had died down enough for people to see the red patch of hair of Todoroki but not for Midoriya. They continued to scan the field before Sero lifted his finger and pointed.

They found Midoriya. In a dent of the area wall. Upon some stroke of random coincidence, Midoriya fell out onto the wet grass. The crowd was silent as they waited for a moment to see him get up. When it was evident that he wasn't, the PA system clicked.

"Midoriya is both unconscious and out of bounds. The winner of this match is Todoroki." Unlike the other matches, the crowd was silent as Aizawa declared the winner. Robots came over and put Midoriya on a stretcher while Todoroki stood there. It wasn't until Midoriya was out of sight that Todoroki turned and exited the stage.

"Midoriya…" The quiet voice of Uraraka made Kaminari feel guilty. He didn't know why. It just did. He turned and watched as Iida grabbed Uraraka and Tsu and left them. Sero got up and followed them, leaving Kaminari to feel more guilt. He got up himself and trailed behind Sero. The five of them walked the halls until another click of the PA spoke out.

"Uh, the next round will be between Denki Kaminari and Tenya Iida. Will both participants prepare for the next fight?" Iida turned and locked eyes with Kaminari. The two were silent before Iida broke contact.

"Uraraka, could you give Midoriya my condolences?" He asked her somberly. She nodded and Kaminari glanced at Sero. He nodded and continued to walk without the two. After the two had left, Kaminari and Iida looked at each other again. Iida's serious face and cracked out a smile. He held out his hand to Kaminari, leaving him confused.

"Let's make this fight between us quick alright? I would like to speak to Midoriya in person alright?" Kaminari nodded and shook the larger hand. "Agreed. I… I feel guilty somehow." Iida nodded in understanding.

"I appreciate your concern for Midoriya. Although I must ask, why?" Kaminari thought for a second with Iida's question. "I guess it's because he's just a good guy. He cares for people and people care for him. To see him just break his body like that and lose something this extreme and important makes me feel bad." Iida turned his head to look in the general direction towards the field.

"I don't think he lost." Kaminari looked at him puzzled before Iida turned back to him with a happy look. "I'm sure you know about Ingenium?" Kaminari nodded quickly. "Well, he's my brother and I look up to him. A large part of my family have been heroes actually. So I've always had interactions with heroes."

He took a breath before continuing. "It may not be apparent to you but Midoriya did win that fight. It just wasn't the fight for the tournament. He won the emotional battle of Todoroki." Kaminari nodded as he slowly realized his point.

"Todoroki's fire. He managed to get Todoroki to use the left side of his quirk." Iida nodded to Kaminari's deduction. "Midoriya isn't a conventional hero. If I had to compare his morals and beliefs, I would say he's more like All Might than any other hero. We may have not heard what Midoriya said, but he saved Todoroki." Iida said. Kaminari nodded before smirking.

"I'm surprised there is that much of a fiery personality under all that timid nature. He's rather explosive when he wants to be, huh?" The two stood there for a second. "You have good deduction skills, huh?" Kaminari added to his statement.

"It's a skill that is needed for members of the Iida family!" He flashed his glasses with a prideful smile. The two walked off in silence to their rooms for whatever small preparations they were going to make.

Kaminari thought for a second about his plan as he took a quick seat on the metal fold up chair. Iida was a lot faster than him, but he had a small voice in his head telling him he could handle it.

He was in the room for maybe a minute at most before he walked out and hustled himself towards his side of the arena. He passed through the empty halls and thought about his conversation with Iida. The small amount of guilt he had was gone but he still wanted to go see Midoriya after the fight.

Kaminari walked out into the arena and was marveled at the appearance. The only evidence that the legendary fight that came before happened was the small amounts of damage to the walls and that Midnight was now on a stone stand as opposed to the wooden one she had before.

He stared at Iida as he entered the arena. His face was lacking the kind appearance he had before and looked sinister in the light of the Arena. He felt the pierce of that gaze.

"You really can turn on a dime huh?" He shouted out to Iida. Iida broke that facade and let out a small smile.

"I can. I just know when to get serious." And that's when Kaminari felt that could have been a jab at him. He turned sour as he hid his hand behind his back as he charged it with his quirk.

"IN THE NORTH SIDE OF THE FIELD, WE HAVE THE SPEED DEMON! THE BLUE BLUR, TENYA IIDA!" Iida did a subtle lunge stretch as he kept his eyes on Kaminari.

"IN THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE ARENA, WE HAVE THE MAN WHO'LL BRING THE THUNDA! PLEASE GIVE A CHEER FOR THE GOD OF LIGHTING, DENKI KAMINARI!" There was a small cheer that erupted, filling Kaminari with pride. Being associated with godhood also helped.

"Alright. Please don't cause an explosion either. NOW, get ready! GO!" With the crack of her whip, Iida rushed forward with breakneck speeds towards Kaminari. Kaminari barely had time to reach Iida in the middle. He knew he probably wasn't going to get his arm out to grab Iida or shock him so he just coated his body in electricity. Iida got to him before he could totally coat himself and Iida pushed him on his shoulders towards the edge.

Luckily for him, Iida didn't have the increased perception that a Kinerceleran would have since he didn't let go of him when his quirk finished coating him. His quirk leapt off onto Iida who locked up and his engines stalled. The sudden lack of speed caused the two to fall on each other at the edge of the field. To Kaminari's advantage, he wasn't paraylzed so he pushed Iida off as the quick teen tried to recover. Kaminari stood over him as Iida slowly pushed himself up.

Kaminari just took the easy route and pushed him over to his side. Iida tried to fight it but Kaminari would occasionally tap him and shock him to return him to the state. He pushed Iida over the line and there was a confused crack of Midnight's whip.

"Uh.. Kaminari wins from pushing Iida out of bounds." Iida glanced at him which made Kaminari feel embarrassed.

"Uh sorry. With this and that pink haired girl, you haven't had a good track record huh?" Iida smiled for a second before getting up.

"Yeah but you did manage to beat me. Plus that means one thing." Kaminari lended him a hand to help him up as he spoke. "I won't have to move to the semi-finals." Kaminari raised an eyebrow as the two hubbled away.

"Remind yourself of who is in the semi-finals." Kaminari's heart dropped and stared at the blue haired teen. "You're evil, you know that?" Iida's chuckle echoed through the hall. They climbed the stairs to make it to the second floor of the school. As time went on, Iida recovered and needed less and less assistance from Kaminari.

The two soon made it to the nurse's office to see the group they left behind sitting out the door. "Wait, Iida? What about your match?" Uraraka's concern alerted the other two about them. The implications quickly came to them from their appearance.

"Iida, that was fast! Even by your standards! That fight must have taken only a few seconds." Kaminari chuckled and pointed to himself. "I'm the one who won the fight." Everyone glanced at him before ignoring him and returning to Iida. Even Sero did it. Everyone was herded back to Kaminari as Iida pointed at him. Kaminari could feel his eye twitch in annoyance.

"Wait, you're serious? I figured Iida would have pushed you out before you zapped him, kero." Sero looked at him with a face of embarrassment. "Uh in Kaminari's defense, I know it was likely for him to react and zap Iida enough." And Sero had redeemed himself. Tsu looked at him for an explanation but the door opened. They turned to Recovery Girl as she seemed to have heard the commotion. She sighed and looked at Kaminari and Iida.

"You two seems fine. Who won?" Everyone pointed to Kaminari again and she sighed. "You gotta find a way to limit yourself. Poor Shiozaki is still here. Same would be said about young Todoroki but he's not here obviously." She pulled out something that reminded Kaminari of a Pez-Dispenser. Iida held out his hand and several gummies dropped onto his hand. He popped them into his mouth and chewed. She pocketed the device and looked at them.

"Well the surgery went well. I may be old but I still have a lot of skill with it. It was minor which helped but it will leave an impact on him." She told them of Kaminari and Iida's astonishment. She looked at them and nodded. "The boy was so reckless and damaging, I had to do minor surgery before I used my quirk on him. He's resting up. You can see him now." She opened the door and the group entered. Curtains hid some of the occupants but the main one of interest was there. The group approached Midoriya, whose arms were covered in a cast.

He turned to them and his eyes widened. He lightly smiled towards them as they approached. "Hey guys." He looked at his arms before sighing. "Guess that didn't work." He was answered by a crack on the head by Recovery Girl's cane. Everyone was startled by the sudden attack from the elder and Kaminari took a step back from her.

"How can you guys be so reckless? Do you kids have any regard for life?" She scolded them.

Stones pelted Kirishima again. The shockwave pushed him back. The barrage from Bakugou kept him from getting closer to attack. He had his arms blocking his body to try and preserve his hardening on his body.

"You're focusing on your quirk huh?" Bakugo yelled after his barrage. Blood dripped from a cut he acquired from the fight before which added to his savage appearance and stance. "Eventually, you'll wear your quirk out."

"Yeah well.. This is an endurance match! I'll outlast you!" Bakugou growled with Kirishima's declaration. "WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? Stop saying that, Kirishima! It's so damn annoying!" He swiped his hand right in Kirishima's face and pushed him back. Kirishima closed his eyes before he felt a tug on his shirt. He opened his eyes as another explosion came from Bakugou.

Kirishima watched as the two rocketed up unevenly. He glanced below at the rapidly increasing distance from the ground as the two soar. He returned his attention to Bakugou and grabbed his arm. He dug his pointed fingers into his arm to try and release himself. Bakugou didn't seem to mind as he propelled them upwards. Then the two began to turn midair. Kirishima was above Bakugou who was ready for a throw. Kirishima felt the heat build up from Bakugou's palm as he started his motion to slam Kirishima into the field below.

"DIE!" Bakugou howled as the explosion propelled Kirishima into the stone below. The ground shattered in the impact and Kirishima could feel all of his hardening instantly soften from the blunt trauma. Bakugou came down with light explosions cushioning his fall as Kirishima got up. Bakugou's eyes bore into Kirishima's soul as he got up and raised his fists again. Bakugou smiled viciously and took a stance himself.

"Figured you would have surrendered, Kirishima. You think you'll win this endurance match?" Kirishima smiled with the strength he had left. "Yeah. I'll be an unwavering horse. Think you can break that, eh Bakugou?" Bakugou smiled with less of the zealous barbarism and more of a calm and excited face.

"Well then, let's see that unwavering power!" Kirishima sprinted forward to take an explosion to the face. The intensity of the heat and the pressure felt so strange to Kirishima. It hurts now. Earlier, it felt as if someone was pressing a warm blanket over his body. Now it actually felt like he took an explosion at point blank range. Without his hardened state, the blast pushed him back. He got up again and readied to punch Bakugou. Bakugou began to meet him there with propulsion from his quirk. Kirishima threw his punch but Bakugou vaulted over him. Kirishima felt his charred shirt get tugged again and knew it was over.

His back flared in pain as Kirishima was thrown over the edge. He crashed into the ground and tumbled for a moment. He groaned in pain as he pulled himself up. Midnight cracked her whip before announcing his loss. He looked back at Bakugou who had already turned away to go back to the stands. He rubbed his shoulder and walked to his entrance on the field.

"Man, that sucked." He grumbled. Not even Gary or Tetsutetsu managed to crack his armor but Bakugou was a walking armageddon. If he was honest, he was happy he made it out in the condition he did. He had a small feeling the reason Bakugou ended the fight so quickly was to prevent another match similar to Uraraka from happening.

He was sad that Bakugou didn't take the honorable route and fight him without his quirk but he doubted he could break through that facade of wanting to fight.

"OH HEY!" He turned his head as Tetsutetsu approached him. Kirishima smiled and waved to him. He didn't have the old animosity from the supposed rivalry anymore and seemed happy. Tetsutetsu took his hand and firmly shook it. It seemed so easy for the two to do that handshake.

"What are you doing Tetsutetsu?" The iron skinned boy billowed a hearty laugh. "I wanted to congratulate you for the battle. That was one of the most manly fights I have ever seen! Your class isn't that bad! Some of you are incredible!" Kirishima smiled and nodded.

"Who was really interesting to you? Just curious." Kirishima asked him

"Oh besides you, that green haired boy was something else. I figured he was just some guy scared of his shadow but he's just so explosive! Even if he lost, he was so interesting!" Kirishima chuckled. "Yeah, that's Midoriya. He certainly is bizarre."

"That gravity girl too! She was just so tenacious. Although, I'm sad that the explosive guy didn't stop when she was clearly down." Kirishima nodded at the venom towards Bakugou. "Well, Bakugou is a little strange. He doesn't like to hold back in a fight so that's a quality to him. He doesn't like to taunt his opponents and just likes to cut to the point… now if I actually approve of that method of thinking it isn't something I would say but he still has some good in him. Somewhere."

"Well, if you say so. What are your plans now?"

"Well, my friend Kaminari is still in the tournament. He's the electric quirk user who beat your plant haired friend." He told him. Tetsutetsu looked at him funny.

"Well, he's either going against that explosive guy, that bird guy or the ice and fire guy. Neither I think will beat him." Kirishima nodded but he doubted it was over for Kaminari.

"Uh actually, I think I can go find him. You wanna meet Kaminari before his match?" He pointed in the general direction he thought Kaminari would be and Tetsutetsu nodded after a few moments. "It'll be interesting I suppose." Kirishima turned and headed his way towards the Nurse's office. He figured that might be where Sero and Kaminari were because they left after Midoriya's friends, even after Kaminari won against Iida.

"Uh, anything I should know about Kaminari before we met him?" Kirishima smiled. "Yeah, he's just really out there."
