-3rd person-

Blake and Lapis walk out to the courtyard, which bustling with people, some from Beacon and some from Haven. Blake had her bow back on and Lapis had her helmet on too.

"Awful busy. But with the Tournament coming up, I can imagine why." The blue haired Faunus said to her black haired friend.

"Yeah. You gonna watch us compete?" Blake asked.

"Of course. I need to make sure my friend hasn't gotten rusty." Lapis teased.

-Lapis-

Blake and I share a light laugh then I see a girl with brown hair, brown eyes...and rabbit ears. "Wow...she's beautiful." I think to myself.

"...Remnant to Lapis." Blake says then I blink and look at her.

"Sorry. I kinda zoned out looking at that Faunus." I say.

"You mean Velvet?"

"If she's the one with the rabbit ears, then yes."

"Come on. I'll introduce you."

I nod then we walk to Velvet, who sees us and smiles at Blake.

-3rd person-

"Hello, Blake." She said, her accent revealing she was Australian. She then turned to Lapis and blushed shyly. "...Hello."

Lapis blushed as well. "...Hi. My name is Lapis Lazuli. I'm a friend of Blake's."

She smiled softly. "Velvet Scarlatina. It's a pleasure to meet you." She said then looked at her with sympathy. "I'm sorry about your home."

-Lapis-

I look at her a bit surprised. "You know?"

She nods. "All Faunus do."

I look down, feeling my wolf ears fold down. I then feel two hands, one on each shoulder and look at Blake and Velvet.

"If you need to talk, we'll be here." Blake says with a friendly smile.

"Absolutely." Velvet says.

I smile softly, feeling my ears perk up. I then see Cinder Fall, Emerald Sustrai, and Mercury Black walking in a different direction. "Thanks, ladies. uh...would you two excuse me for a second?" I ask and they nod. I walk away.

-3rd person-

Cinder, Emerald, and Mercury arrive in a dorm room, Lapis hidden by the door. Once they're in, Lapis closes and locks the door.

Mercury noticed her and got mad. "You!" He said, and the women with him turned to her and prepared to fight when Lapis turned to them.

"Relax. I'm not here to fight." The Faunus said then looked directly at Cinder. "I wanna talk. Alone."

"Forget it." Emerald snapped. "You're not talking to..." She was gonna finish before...

"Don't speak for me." Cinder scolded. "Wait outside."

"But Cinder..." Emerald started, but a glare from Cinder made Emerald go silent as she and Mercury reluctantly waited outside.

-Lapis-

I don't take my eyes off Cinder as she sits on her bed.

"Reconsider my offer?" She asks.

After I left the White Fang, Cinder had offered me a place in her faction to help me avenge my people, but I refused.

I shake my head. "I told you. I've been manipulated once. I won't go through that again. Besides, I wanted to talk about you...and how we do have a few things in common."

She arches a brow, but stays silent.

"We've both dealt with traumatic events that shaped us. I lost my people, you were tormented by a woman who simply wanted a slave." I say then see her tense and get mad. "I'm not judging."

"You think that makes us friends?"

"No. Not yet at least."

She frowns and stands, clearly ready to fight but I hold my hands up.

"I told you. I don't want to fight."

"Then what do you want?"

"I thought I made it obvious. I want to be friends. It's never too late, Cinder, even in your case, to let it go." I tell her then begin moving towards the door, but I turn to her when I have a hand on the knob. "If you wanna talk about anything, find me." I tell her then leave the room and go to explore the campus.

I spot Velvet nearby during my walk. She's with three other people. "Must be her team." I think to myself and find myself walking over to them.

One of Velvet's ears perks up and she turns to me and smiles. "Hi, Lapis." She says and her teammates look at me.

"Hi, Velvet." I say then look at her teammates. "You guys must be her team."

They nod and the girl with the beret on holds a hand out.

"I'm Coco." She says and I shake her hand. "The big guy's Yatsuhashi and the other guy is Fox. We're Team CFVY."

I smile softly. "Nice to meet you all. My name is Lapis Lazuli."

Yatsuhashi looks at me. "You're the girl Velvet was just telling us about."

I look at Velvet and see her blush. "All good things, I hope." I say.

Velvet nods and I smile softly. I then notice her camera as I sit next to her. Her teammates give us some space.

"So, what do you use to fight?" I ask.

"...Actually, I can use hard light copies of other people's weapons thanks to my camera." She says.

"Wow." I say, impressed.

She nods then looks at my weapon. "...May I?"

I nod. "Of course." I say then stand up and draw my sword. She gets a picture of it.

"Does it have other functions?"

I nod then press a button and the sword switches to its rifle mode. She takes another photo.

"You're sure you don't mind this?" She asks.

"I'm sure. If you're ever gonna use the Blood Blade in a fight, you should know what it's capable of." I assure her then I sheath my sword and sit next to her again, smiling softly at her.

She smiles back and we get to know each other for a little while.

After we go into the cafeteria for dinner and eat, I head to Team RWBY's dorm to see all four of them in the room.

"Someone had a fun first day." Blake teases.

"Oh, go hack up a hairball." I say to her as a joke then she and I laugh before I sit next to her.

I get to know her teammates for a bit before we get ready for bed. Blake and I lay in her bed as the lights are turned off then I soon fall asleep.

I have a question for y'all. What do you guys think about me changing the story a bit to where Pyrrha lives and Cinder becomes good? Please tell me what think of that. Thanks in advance.
