-3rd person-
Lapis woke up in the morning and saw Blake was the only other person in the room.
"Morning." Blake said.
"Morning. Where are the others?" Lapis asked.
"On their way to breakfast. I told them I was gonna wait on you."
Lapis nodded then stood up and borrowed one of Blake's school uniforms then put her helmet on.
-Lapis-
I look at Blake with a grin as we walk to the cafeteria. "So, does Yang know?" I ask.
"Know what?" She replies.
"That you like her."
I smirk when she blushes. "I-I don't know what you're..." She starts.
"Don't play that with me, Belladonna. I've seen the way you look at her. You're not that subtle about those things." I tease her.
"I'm as subtle as you were with Velvet yesterday." She teases back and I blush as I think back to Velvet. She sighs. "What should I do? Would I like to give Yang and I a chance? Of course. But after what happened last time I let someone close to me..."
"Blake, I don't know her well, but I can tell Yang isn't like Adam or Veronica. Don't let what happened between you and him hold you back. I don't with what happened between me and Veronica. But I wanna get to know Velvet for who she is before making any decision."
She considers this then smiles at me. "Have I ever told you that I love you?" She says, but I know she means as a friend.
I smile. "You've told me that a few times." I say and we make small talk the rest of the way to the cafeteria.
We reach the cafeteria, get some food then sit with her team and Jaune's.
"So, Lapis, any funny stories from your time in the White Fang...?" Yang asks.
I smirk at Blake mischievously and she frowns. "Don't you dare, Lazuli." She warns.
"Well...there was this one time I slipped some catnip into a cup of tea Blake was drinking." I say.
Blake glares at me while the others laugh.
"What was she like?" Ruby asks.
"She actually was pretty relaxed...till I started messing with her. I used a laser pointer, watched her get tangled in a ball of yarn while playing with it, and even dangled a string in front of her. All the while, she was purring." I reply and they laugh again.
"When I woke up the next morning, I didn't speak to her for a week." Blake says.
"I said I was sorry."
Blake sighs then we all keep enjoying breakfast as we talk.
When we leave a few minutes later, I laugh at a story Nora tells me. "You guys seriously had a food fight and destroyed the cafeteria?" I ask.
"Yep!" Nora says.
"Professor Goodwitch definitely wasn't happy about it." Pyrrha says.
I laugh then see Emerald walk to me with a smile so fake, she may as well have painted it on herself. "Can we talk, Lapis?"
I narrow my eyes at her but nod then we walk away.
Once we're at a distance where even Blake can't hear us, I cross my arms and look at Emerald. "What do you want?" I ask.
"Whatever you said to Cinder yesterday caused her to relive some type of memory." She says with a frown. "I want you to take it from her."
I frown back. "Trauma isn't something that can be taken away. It's a part of people who went through it, like Cinder and I." I tell her.
She scoffs and moves to walk away, but I grab her wrist, making her look at me.
"I didn't say I wasn't willing to try and help her." I say.
She and I then walk to the dorm room they were given.
Mercury glares at me when we arrive, but I walk right to Cinder. "I can't take away the trauma, but I can try to suppress the memories. But there is something to bring up." I tell her.
"And that is?" Cinder asks.
"Suppressing the memories could turn you into a different person entirely. I just want to know if you still wanna go through with this."
She nods. I nod back then look her right in the eye.
-3rd person-
Lapis activated her Semblance and her eyes began to change from red to orange to yellow to green to blue to indigo to violet then repeated the cycle. Cinder simply looked into Lapis's eyes and soon her eyes closed.
"Now, Cinder...I want you to imagine taking all your memories of abuse and locking them in a safe. Once they're all in, give me a nod to let me know it's done." Lapis instructed.
A few minutes later, Cinder nodded her head.
"Very good, Cinder. Now, I want you to imagine putting the safe deep into your subconscious mind. Once it's done, nod your head again and I'll stop using my Semblance."
A second later, Cinder nodded her head again and Lapis stopped using her Semblance. Cinder slowly came to but held her head as if it were spinning.
-Lapis-
"That dizziness will pass in an hour." I tell her then stand up and move to leave but Mercury blocks my path. "Move, pretty boy. Or you're gonna need mechanical arms as well." I warn.
He doesn't move so Emerald pulls him out of the way then I leave the room. Once I'm out in the hall...
"Lapis Lazuli, please report to the Headmaster's office. Lapis Lazuli." Professor Goodwitch's voice says and I sigh but head there.
When I arrive at the office, I look at him. "You wanted to see me, Professor?" I ask.
He nods. "Come in, Lapis."
I walk to his desk and sit down.
I see a representative from each of the four councils on a screen and the headmasters of the other academies.
"Council members and headmasters, this is the young lady that I believe...should be the opponent for the exhibition matches I mentioned." Professor Ozpin says.
I look at him, surprised.
That's chapter four.
If this story hits five 'favorites', I'll have Cinder turn good and bring in an OC I have as her twin sister.
Review, favorite, and follow then more chapters will come.
