He was supposed to teach the Vongola Decimo, Sawada Juri. However, when he got to Namimori, the Sawada Residence was EXTREMELY NEGLECTED he had to ask around, only to get wind that when Nana took her daughter home from Pre-School, she got attacked by unknown assailants and her daughter taken in front of her. She was barely alive when found and she begged the police her daughter back.
Her only clue was a symbol she saw being worn by one of the kidnappers who are all foreigners. An unusual cross.
She couldn't bring herself to go back home and lived with her parents in her original hometown after she recovered from her ordeal, and still keeps in touch with the police.
Needless to say, CEDEF is on a manhunt for anyone wearing such a cross while Iemitsu tracked his wife to said hometown, and found her still rehabilitated, and walking on crutches, taking her to Italy with him after groveling before his in-laws. How could he have known that upon leaving for work, disaster befell his wife and daughter?
He too, had to look for her, the last of Vongola Blood.
Based on family photos in the much-neglected house, he has an idea on what she looks like.
He then hacked in any camera imaginable working westwards as it was foreigners who kidnapped the girl.
However, after leaving a certain city in China, they vanished. But there's news about a burning car and corpses of men on matching time and date.
Someone else attacked them and took Juri.
Then from footages years later whether kept in the systems or deleted for secrecy...that was what the Dark Web is for that they had to hire Verde for as in the ahem, legal records, she freaking vanished.
Juri is now thirteen years old, acting as an agent, accompanied by an older...er...big-breasted girl. She is a mix of her parents in looks. Her mother's dark-brown hair, heart-shaped face and full lips. Her eyes have the sharpness of her amber-eyed lineage and a straight small nose, as well as caucasian skin color. She creates and wields weapons of ice, favoring snowflake and fleur-de-lis themes on her weapons. She dresses fancily in a dark red dress with black lace. Something out of gothic lolita brand.
She's an incredible fighter at a young age and her companion is no slouch either.
She has seen a lot of fights. Her eyes are cold and so is the smile on her bloodstained self. She talks derisively to the opponent she defeated based on lip-reading.
Enemy in question could create metal in his hands.
'This is interesting.' said Verde as he and Reborn watched the video. 'It seems your wayward student doesn't need much teaching but affiliated elsewhere.'
'I'll track down their location.' Reborn instructed. 'Just send the invoice to Vongola.'
Sawada Juri is a member of Athos, and she called them 'Adept Trash'.
'Athos...that's a mountain in Greece isn't it?' Reborn remarked.
'Yes.' Verde typed into his computer to show the world map, and the location is blinked upon by a red dot. 'It's an autonomous region that is the site of several Greek Orthodox monasteries founded in the tenth century. It's it's own state.'
'That's a start.' said Reborn. 'Hack into computers Athos may have.' Verde entered into the computers to gather information and if Juri was in there.
She was.
Juri was what's called a Qwaser. The Qwasers are the one's capable of controlling a specific element through the power of the blessing of a Maria's Soma. An alchemist who possesses the power to manipulate electrons, molecular vibrations and atomic bonding. They are the descendants of Hermes Trismegistus.
In Juri's case, it's Nitrogen. She was an Atomis-Class Qwaser as Qwasers whose element is more prolific and easier to access are more powerful, while elements that are rarer are weaker. She was also a Crest-Maker, creating circuits that produce many, many magical effects. Her information was so classified it was protected by Firewalls that gained a sliver of Verde's respect and she was affiliated to Sqole, a school that trains Qwasers and Maria into effective field agents, equivalent to CIA, FBI, etc, but solely for Religious Interests only, actively hunting down immoral and inhumane sects and cults that harm citizens of the normal society or on the lookout for religious artifacts and ruins. But their main goal is the Theotokos of Tsaritsyn. But no info about that in their data...
Juri's information was classified, because she was an Atomis of the strongest element.
She was originally kidnapped by the Adepts under the banner of the Gold Qwaser whose identity is still unknown. Upon getting wind of this discovery, a VIP of the El-Eizariya Monastery ordered her retrieved for Athos, and placed under the two Headmistresses of Sqole, the Big Ma'am and Little Ma'am, two highly-respected figures and teachers of the school, and powerful former agents who retired to raise the next generation. juri could not go home as one, they thought her mother was killed and her father an overseas worker and who-knows-where.
Supposed her father goes back and they send her home as she has no wish to join back as a kid.
What if Gold Qwaser gets wind of it and orphans her for real this time just to have her? So she remained and studied in Sqole, becoming a master of many languages, a skilled warrior, hacker, sorcerer, pharmacist, driver and even a survivalist.
Nothing is mentioned of this VIP Person.
'Nitrogen...the Planet Earth has 78.1% of the stuff.' Verde mused. 'Followed by 20.1 of Oxygen, 0.9 of Argon and 0.4 of Carbon Dioxide and so on. Thus Qwasers whose element are the most abundantly-present in Earth are the strongest, classified as Atomis.'
'She can synthesize with other elements, and create ice at will and frostbite you to death through it's cryogenic properties and be an asphyxiation hazard.' Reborn snorted. 'That explains her fighting abilities.'
And a Maria is apparently, a woman who provides Soma, life-giving energy through her breasts, thus Qwasers breastfeed off them to access their powers. The bigger the better as there's more to get, and the purer a girl, the higher quality. Hence a Qwaser is never far away from their Maria and formed a partnership. Maria would provide power, Qwaser protects her. But there are other factors as well.

'Well, I admit, but not to recruit you.' said Reborn. 'I am your tutor as you are Vongola Famiglia's last child left, for you to be its Vongola Decimo.'
He got a flat stare from her.

'Nana is alive.' Juri gasped at the shocker from the hitman. 'She got help after neighbors heard screaming and saw her condition. She was taken to hospital and was saved in time.' Juri shook at the newfound revelation. 'She spent her first few years in hospital, before your grandparents took her home in her hometown as she couldn't bring herself to go back home without you. When we found out what happened to you after several years, Iemitsu was horrified, groveled to your maternal grandparents, and took your mother to Italy for first-class rehabilitation treatment. She's still in crutches to this day, but in two more years, she'll be right as rain.'
'Don't tell me...dad is mafia?' Juri shook at the idea. Given her past, she hated those guys oh-so-much.
'Its in his bloodline.' Reborn told her, confirming it for her. 'He kept it secret from you and your mother in hopes you stay civilian, but alas, the Main Family in Italy lost all its sons...and the position is hereditary by blood as the Rings are blood-locked. Nobody can wear them or lose that hand upon putting it on...quite literally.' Reborn explained. 'So you, the last Vongola left, is to be educated by I to be a fine Capo.' Juri groaned at this. Complete with a face-palm.

But apparently, they roam for children with qwaser powers and forcefully induct them as was the case with Juri. Her element was Nitrogen explaining her penchant for freezing. To sum it up, Qwaser Elements are from the Periodic Table, descendants of the alchemist Hermes Trismegistus.
It made them wonder about Nana or anyone who married into the famiglia now, how can they tell? But as nobody dared to kidnap a Vongola Child outside mafia reasons otherwise they'd know about qwasers by now attacking them with non-flame powers. So it must be through Nana and her family's normal-normal, unaware of any special traits they may have.
'Juri favors ice and technically we can make ice through Primo's technique...' Iemitsu scratched his head. From video feeds, she will either frostbite you to death, or cut you up with ice constructs. Not once did she asphyxiate anyone to death yet... 'Our sole concern now is to find this bastard on our end if not even Athos can find him. Very few knows about Juri, even in Athos for some reason.'

'We'll talk with the Vindice ourselves regarding that matter.' Timoteo promised her. 'For now, I will hold the fort until the day you are strong enough to no longer fear this Gold Qwaser.'
/The problem is he's really strong to compensate, otherwise, Athos wouldn't have such trouble in the first place. Not even my ability can find him. He's looking for kids with Qwaser powers to forcefully-indoctrinate so I can't go home yet. Granted, Sqole looks for the same, but we were given a choice, and treated much better. Heck, I'm a secret identity so I can leave without anyone the wiser if its safe. Had I been known by all of Athos it won't be easy to just leave./
