Author's Note: In this story, Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha, and Ren have trained with their team attacks enough to call them out by name like Ruby and her team

-Lapis-

Later in the day, I meet up with Ruby, Jaune, and their teammates in a spot big enough for us all to have room to move around. We each have our weapons with us and I soon draw Blood Blade and hold the hilt with both hands. Ruby pulls out Crescent Rose and shifts it to scythe mode, Weiss has Myrtenaster drawn, Blake pulls Gambol Shroud off of her back and separates the sheath to use both as swords, Yang preps her Ember Celica, Jaune draws his sword and raises his shield, Nora pulls Magnhild out and shifts it to hammer mode, Pyrrha draws Miló and Akoúo, and Ren readies StormFlower.

"Don't expect me to hold back, guys." I tell them.

"That'll just make this more fun when you get your ass kicked." Yang says.

I soon hear fast footsteps and recognize them as Glynda's marching pace. "Children, what do you all think you're doing?" She asks.

I turn to her. "It was my idea, Professor. I wanna make sure I'm ready for the exhibition matches that'll take place during the Tournament in a couple of days." I confess.

She looks at me and is about to say something when...

"Then perhaps all of the schools should see what young Lapis is capable of. This way, the fight will be a sanctioned one." Ozpin says. Glynda turns to him and sighs.

I look at the others. "You guys okay with that?" I ask and they nod.

"Then that settles it." Ozpin says. He then leads us to the amphitheater while Glynda asks for all students to report to the same location.

Students soon fill the amphitheater, all of them curious as to why they're here.

Ozpin clears his throat and everyone looks at him while I stand nearby. "Recently, I've suggested a trio exhibition matches be held at the Tournament." He explains. "While Miss Nikos was the first to be offered the honor of competing in them, she turned the offer down. As such, Miss Lazuli here has agreed to be the contender." He starts and I wave timidly at everyone. "Therefore, you all should be made aware of how strong a fighter the self proclaimed Defender of the Four Kingdoms is. Team RWBY and Team JNPR have agreed to help provide that demonstration, but I invite anyone who wishes to test themselves against her."

Much to my surprise, Velvet immediately walks to us. Among all the students from the different schools, I see Mercury immediately marching up to us. I sigh and roll my eyes. Nobody else walks up.

"Ten on one?" I ask loudly then smirk. "Then it's an even fight!"

"Very well." Ozpin says then steps away. Everyone has their weapons ready then Mercury quickly charges at me with a flurry of kicks, but I block and parry his attacks then slam my head against his, causing him to stumble back.

-3rd person-

Nora jumped up with her hammer ready, but Lapis backflipped to avoid it as it hit the ground where she stood then the Faunus kicked Nora back. Weiss used a glyph to speed to Lapis, who blocked Weiss's attacks with her sword. Lapis loaded a red Dust crystal into the hilt of her sword and the blade turned red. The blue haired girl smirked then shot off a wave of fire towards the heiress, who threw an ice wall up to stop the attack.

"Checkmate!" Ruby said then Weiss and Blake charged their friend.

Lapis blocked and dodged as many strikes as she could then did a leg sweep, knocking the two off their feet before Lapis kicked them both back.

"Uh...Pomegrenade!" Jaune said. Nora laughed and jumped onto Pyrrha's shield. The latter jumped as Nora pulled the trigger on her hammer, both of which gave her extra height before Nora pulled the trigger again.

"Whoa!" Lapis said then rolled to the side to avoid the hammer.

"Bumblebee!" Ruby said then Blake threw Gambol Shroud to Yang and began spinning the latter around.

"Arkos!" Jaune said then the two began sliding forward on their shields. They moved to either side of Lapis and moved to strike with their swords, but Lapis backflipped then pinned their swords down before kicking Jaune then Pyrrha.

However, this gave Yang an opening to punch Lapis. By the time, Lapis saw it coming, Yang's fist already made contact and the former hit a wall hard, surprising many of the students.

Lapis's Aura had dropped into the yellow, but she stood up with a chuckle. "Not bad, Xiao Long." She said.

Velvet flipped in and Lapis rolled out of the way before turning to the brown haired Faunus and pinning her arms to the sides. "Nothing personal, Velvet." The blue haired Faunus said then reluctantly began to use her Semblance on Velvet. "Help me in this match." She said.

The rabbit Faunus turned to Team RWBY and Team JNPR then took on Team RWBY while Lapis took on Team JNPR.

Mercury charged at Lapis, who ducked and dodged his merciless flurry of kicks. Of all on Team JNPR, Pyrrha suspected something was off about Mercury's relentless attacks. She discreetly used her Semblance on Mercury's boots to give Lapis an opening. The silver eyes girl took advantage then slammed the hilt of her sword against Mercury's temple before kicking him twice, causing his Aura to go into the red. Lapis sent out a fire wave to Team JNPR, causing the four of them to fly into a wall and their Auras went into the red.

Velvet's fight with Team RWBY ended soon after and Lapis Semblance wore off on Velvet.

"And that's the match." Glynda said as Lapis collapsed to one knee.

The rabbit and cat Faunus ran to their friend. "I'm okay..."

"I believe this should be a demonstration of what to expect in the Tournament, though with more...even odds." Ozpin said.

The students all soon dispersed and went about their day.
