-Lapis-

After the first sparring match, I go and sit on a bench in the courtyard to relax.

"Hard at work?" I smile softly when I hear Velvet speaking then turn to her.

"Just finished sparring with Team SLVR. I'm gonna meet with Sun and Neptune after lunch and spar with them after lunch, then I'm gonna do the same with Cinder after dinner." I tell her as she sits next to me.

"So, those are you opponents for the exhibition matches." She says with a smile.

I nod then look out to the city. "I'll never get tired of this view."

"I was born in this Kingdom." She tells me.

I smile softly at her.

Things are silent for a few minutes before I feel her look at me. "Think you could help me with something?"

I nod and turn to her. "What's up?"

"Anesidora, my camera, only lets me use people's weapons once then I have to take pictures all over again. Do you think you could make adjustment to it where that isn't the case anymore?"

I nod. "I think I can manage that. I'll have to get my hands on a couple tools first, though."

She smiles and hugs me. "Thank you so much!"

I feel a lot of heat in my cheeks as I hug back. "N-No problem."

-3rd person-

A few minutes later, Lapis set to work on Velvet's camera in Team CFVY's dorm room. Lapis had blue earbuds in her ears, since she liked listening to music as she worked.

Velvet soon found herself listening when she heard Lapis sing. Her teammates soon ceased their chatter to listen. They and everyone from the other schools had known Lapis for weeks now but these four had imagined that only Blake knew Lapis could sing.

Before long, Lapis had finished adjusting Anesidora then paused her music and took the earbuds out. She put the earbuds away then handed Velvet her camera. "All done. Now you can keep the photos you have of everyone's weapons and not have to worry about taking more." She said.

Velvet smiled as she held her camera. "Thank you again so much."

"No problem." The wolf Faunus said.

"You've got a pretty good set of pipes, Lazuli. Ever think of putting on a gig?" Coco said.

Lapis immediately looked down. "I'm not that great, Coco." She said then left before anyone could say something, which told Team CFVY that she wasn't too confident in her singing.

-Lapis-

After eating lunch, I head to the amphitheater and stretch as I wait for Sun and Neptune. I soon see them walking to the stage then see their teammates, Scarlet and Sage in the stands with Team SLVR and Cinder.

I smirk at Sun and Neptune. "You boys ready to lose?" I ask as I draw my sword.

Sun pulls out his staff and Neptune pulls his weapon off his back.

"Your impressive winning streak is done, Lazuli." Sun says.

"Them's fighting words, Wukong!" I tell him.

They run at me, Neptune turning his weapon into it's trident form and I block his strikes. Sun tries to flank me, but I block him.

-3rd person-

While fighting, Sun split his staff and fired shots at Lapis rapidly, who deflected the shots. Neptune saw an opening and kicked her back but Lapis switched her sword to rifle mode and fired a few shots then charged forward, blocking Neptune's trident and Sun's staff with her sword.

"Man, you're giving us a run for our money." Neptune said.

"I'm a world renowned fighter. What'd you expect?" Lapis asked then kicked Neptune back before blocking Sun's staff.

Scarlet, Sage, Team SLVR and Cinder watched closely.

Sun and Neptune's Aura levels were nearing the red while Lapis's was in the yellow, but Neptune began to bring it to the orange just as his hit the red. Sun tried to finish the match, but Lapis blocked or deflected shots fired from Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang and slashed at Sun, sending him to the wall and his Aura was in the red.

"I'm impressed, guys. It's been a few years since my in the orange. I'm gonna have to stay on my toes when I face you two in the actual match." Lapis said.

The two guys smiled.

"Doesn't mean you'll win." Lapis said then looked at Cinder. "One more training match."

"Looking forward to it." Cinder smiled.

With that, everyone dispersed.

-Lapis-

I go looking for Team CFVY to apologize to them. I find them relaxing by the docks and walk to them. As expected, Velvet turns to me first.

"Hi, Lapis." She says and her teammates look at me.

"Hey." I say then give a nervous smile. "Got room for one more?"

"Always." Coco says a small smile then I sit next to Velvet.

I soon look to my right at them. "I wanted to say I'm sorry about earlier. I haven't sung in a couple years." I tell them.

"What made you stop?" Fox asked.

"...Losing my parents. My dad always said I got my singing talent from my mom and my mom always attested to that. Before she died, she'd sing to me every night I had a nightmare of the Grimm." I say. "...Then when I was in the White Fang, there was this bat Faunus who is a jerk among them named Yuma. He'd always tell me that my singing was terrible. It got to the point where I actually believed him."

"Well, I think you're amazing." Coco says.

I smile a little. "Thanks, Coco."

"You have more than Team RWBY and Team JNPR to lean on." Yatsuhashi tells me. "There's Team SSSN, Cinder, and us. In such a short time, you've built a strong chain of friends here at Beacon. And there are others who would befriend you if you try."

I feel my smile grow a little. "Thanks for that, Yatsu." I say.

He smiles warmly and nods.

I hang out with them a bit longer then go for a walk.
