FLASHBACK
Branwen Camp, dusk
Ivy was terrified.
Raven, the woman who looked after her when she was alone, just tried to KILL HER. As the blade was about to strike, a black tendril knocked it out of Raven's hand.
"Halt!" a voice said to the woman. Looking at the walls of the Tribe's encampment, Raven saw a figure standing atop one of the logs they used for structure.
The figure was dark skinned, as in his skin was literally pitch-black. He had white hair that covered one of two red eyes, and wore clothing one would find in Feudal Japan. He wore a black scarf around his neck that billowed in the nonexistent wind.
"Who are you and why have you come here?!" Raven asked the newcomer. He came right when she was about to execute Ivy. That couldn't've been a coincidence.
"My master has requested that I prevent you from becoming a Maiden. He will not allow an innocent life to perish simply so you can gain power." the figure said. Now Raven was sure this was planned. Only Qrow, Ozpin, and HER knew about Maidens.
"Who is your master?" Raven asked as she prepared to grab her sword from the ground.
"I expected you of all people to know of him. After all, you were the one to bring him into this world." the figure said as he lunged toward Raven.
Raven quickly jumped backwards and grabbed her blade before attacking the figure. He dodged each slice with relative ease thanks to his Skill. The figure attacked next with a punch to Raven's abdomen, sending her flying into the walls.
"Shadow Dragon." the figure said quietly. Suddenly, his scarf began to move more like a snake as it gained fangs and lunged at Raven. The attack stunned her, but not for long. "Leave, young one." the figure said to Ivy, who ran away as fast as she could.
Emerald Forest, present
Ever since that day, Ivy has been trying her best to stay away from that cursed Tribe. She always wondered who saved her then, and if they survived fighting Raven.
Ivy was a girl in her teens with a black tank top and green pants. She had brown hair and yellow eyes, as well as a tattoo of a leaf on her right palm. She was also the current Spring Maiden. For the past three days, she's been camping out in the Emerald Forest. She even used her Magic to create a barrier that kept intruders and Grimm out.
But that's what made this so unusual.
After foraging for berries, she returned to her camp to find a masked faunus. The gender was unclear, but they wore a black cloak and a white mask with two large eyeholes. "How did you find this place?" she asked, preparing an Elemental attack. However, she never got a verbal answer. Instead, the faunus's head began to move in an erratic pattern before it turned upsidedown, frightening Ivy. 'What is this thing?' she thought as the transformation continued.
From underneath it's cloak, several black spider legs shot out. Afterwards, it discarded the cloak entirely to show a bulbous sac of orange liquid. Finally, it's neck extended until it became a beast only seen in textbooks.
The Nosk
Without warning, the Nosk charged at Ivy, hoping to impale her on it's mask's horns. Ivy managed to hold it back by channeling Aura into her hands, but was severely outmatched by the mimicking Grimm. It shook it's head while she was holding onto it, slamming her into a tree.
It prepared to finish her by spewing it's acid at her, but was unable to due to being held back by vines that protruded from the dirt. While it was trying to escape the vines, Ivy ran off as fast as she could. However, the Nosk never lets it's prey go without a fight. After spewing acid on the vines, it jumped up and didn't land. But something to note was the flapping sound that resounded as orange acid dripped down from the sky.
Emerald Forest, day
The reason Ruby, Yang, and Dominic were so worried when Ozpin told everyone to destroy everything in their path was because they knew Gregory would take it to heart and LITERALLY freeze everything he touched. Suffice to say, they were right to be afraid.
Using Cocytus to mow down every tree he came across, the youngest male of the Rose-Xiao Long household almost created a blizzard with his onslaught. Even the Grimm that towered over him in terms of size were instantly cut in two with his scythe-blades. After a few minutes, he saw Ivy in the corner of his eye and stopped. 'What's that girl running from?' Gregory thought. He couldn't continue thinking due to the sound of flapping getting louder, then getting quieter. 'I know that sound.' Gregory realized before he quickly ran after Ivy.
He'd fought this kind of Grimm before, and he knew what it could do to an unprepared Huntsman.
Eventually, Ivy ran out of energy and collapsed. She could only watch in fear as her assailant landed on the patch of grass in front of her. It was the Nosk, but it's back had what looked like moth wings. It screamed into the sky, causing giant blobs of acid to rain down from the heavens.
Ivy closed her eyes, waiting for death, but it never came. She opened one of her eyes to see Gregory standing over her, using a block of ice he summoned as a shield from the Downpour attack. "Are you okay?" Gregory asked through clenched teeth.
"Yeah, I'm a bit tired but I think I'll be fine." Ivy said as she tried to stand.
"Good. Now stay behind me! I've fought a few of these things before." Gregory said as he let the glacier disappear. Before the Winged Nosk could attack again, he shot a condensed jet of water at it's face, causing it to stagger before taking flight again. "Damn! I need to shoot it down before it gets into the city. Do you have any long range attacks?" Gregory asked Ivy.
"I can imbue Aura into my knives and throw them around 3 feet." Ivy said as she brought out her signature weapons, twin knives that had a hidden compartment in the handle where Dust was meant to be inserted.
"Good. If I can slow it down enough with my water jets, we can use your knives to tear it's wings off." Gregory said as he started to run after the Winged Nosk.
"Wait!" Ivy said, causing Gregory to stop in his tracks. "I never even got your name!"
"Gregory. What's your's?" Gregory asked.
"Ivy. Ivy Verdant."
Emerald Forest, day
After about three hours of searching: "We finally made it! Told you I didn't need a map!" Dominic yelled triumphantly once they reached the temple, only to see that his sister and Blake had already arrived. "SHEEP!" he cursed. And no, he didn't say shit and the FF only said sheep to censor it. He actually said "sheep". "How'd you get here before us!?" Dominic asked his sister.
"Because we followed the path." Blake said as she pointed to a very obvious path that was made in the forest.
"HOW DID YOU NOT SEE THAT!? I guess I just never noticed it." Dominic said before D2 slapped him in the face.
"Anyways, where are the relics?" Connor asked.
"Apparently we need these Chess pieces." Yang explained while holding up the relic she chose. With this information in mind, Connor walked over to the temple and chose the White King piece.
"Fitting." Dominic said once he noticed the relic Connor chose. Suddenly, a scream rang out from deep in the woods.
"Hey, some girl's in trouble!" Yang said.
"No, that was almost certainly a male shriek." Dominic said, getting a look from Blake.
"How do you know it's a guy?" the disguised Faunus asked.
"Horror movies." Dominic said, as if it counted as a complete answer. "Uh, Yang. Look up."
Without any warning, Ruby plummeted into Jaune, who came flying in from another direction.
"Did your sister just fall from the sky?" Blake asked.
"More importantly, are those two gonna be okay?" Connor asked.
Soon after, Nora came crashing through the trees riding on an Ursa. "Aww, it's broken." Nora said dejectedly before seeing the temple.
"Nora, never do that again." Ren said, out of breath. Then he saw Nora going crazy with the relics.
"Did that girl just ride in on an Ursa?" Blake asked.
Then, the Winged Nosk flew out from the forest followed by Gregory and Ivy.
"Are your brother and that girl trying to follow that Grimm?" Blake asked.
Pyrrha then ran out of the forest while being chased by a Deathstalker.
"Jaune!" Pyrrha yelled to her partner.
"Pyrrha!" Jaune called back.
Ruby stood up and saw the Winged Nosk and Deathstalker. "Woah." she said before falling out of the tree she was in.
"Ruby!" Dominic, Yang, and Jaune said at the same time.
"Nora!" Nora said, causing Ruby and Yang to lose their balance and turning Dominic's eyes into cartoonish spirals.
"Did she run all the way here with a Deathstalker on her tail?" Blake asked as Pyrrha continued to run.
Having enough, Yang's temper exploded as her eyes and hair burned with her annoyance. "I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! CAN EVERYONE JUST CHILL OUT FOR TWO SECONDS BEFORE SOMETHING CRAZY HAPPENS AGAIN!?" Yang screamed.
True to form, nothing happened for two seconds...at least until Ruby remembered her partner. "Uh, Yang?" Ruby said, pointing up. Everyone looked up to see Weiss hanging onto a Nevermore talon.
"Ruby. Why is your partner hanging for dear life?" Dominic asked.
"She's fine." Ruby said, not convincing her siblings.
"She's falling." Dominic said. Quickly after, Connor got his staff out and prepared somthing.
Jaune saw Weiss falling and took it as the perfect chance to be a hero. He jumped out of the tree he was in and caught Weiss in midair. "Just dropping in?" he asked, prompting every female on the ground to face-palm. (Apart from Pyrrha)
As they were falling, Connor used his staff to shoot a ball of Dark energy at them. It landed, engulfing them in shadows until nothing remained. One second passed before they were spit out by a rip in the air.
"What was that?" Dominic asked.
"I can manipulate the amount of momentum an object has in that black void. For example, I just grinded their's to a dead halt." Connor explained.
Eventually, Pyrrha, Gregory, and Ivy joined the group. "Great! The gang's all here! Now we can die together!" Yang said cheerfully.
"Not if I can help it!" Ruby proclaimed before rushing at the Deathstalker with her Semblance. Unfortunately for her, her attack did nothing against it's exoskeleton. The Winged Nosk saw this and swooped down to impale her with it's horns.
"TIME BREAK!"
Suddenly, everything froze in place.

Grimm Information
Nosk
(Discovered in Hallownest)
This rare Grimm only appears to those that are vulnerable, as it makes it easier to kill them. Even if they are trained in combat, the Nosk's acid attacks make both close range and long range fighting a nightmare.
It never attacks in it's real form. Instead, it takes the form of a bug-like faunus to lure it's victims into a false sense of security.
It has an acid sac in it's abdomen it uses to shoot blobs of acid at it's prey. It also has a devastating stomp attack that has led many a Huntsman to their end. When facing an opponent with immense power, it will sprout wings and utilize flight and acid in it's attacks. The Winged Nosk has never been bested by any Huntsman before.
