Emerald Forest, afternoon

Dominic's eyes widened to the size of plates when he saw the Winged Nosk swooping toward Ruby. He already risked his own Soul to save Summer, he wasn't about to let Ruby die.

"TIME BREAK!" he screamed, sending a wave of...something rippling through the planet. Everything it touched became sepiatoned and frozen, as if it were a drawing for an old fashioned cartoon. The only thing that retained color was Dominic himself, though he was breathing heavily.

He ran toward Ruby as fast as he could, leaving patches of blue fire on the areas his shoes touched. When he got to Ruby, he threw her at Yang and Gregory, sure one of them would catch her. He then turned to the two Grimm, frozen in place from Time Break. Dominic opened his right hand, causing small specks of light to spawn around them.

'Time should begin moving again soon. I need to end this before that happens.'

Dominic closed his fist, causing the specks of light to detonate, dealing immense damage. And the onslaught didn't end there.

Shards of razor sharp stone erupted from the dirt to stab the soulless beings. Instantly after, without wasting a single movement, Dominic had them pelted by as many fireballs he could muster during frozen time. And as a finishing move, his left eye turned blood red.

Two giant dog skulls made of volcanic rock appeared in a flash, hovering behind Dominic. "Atonement Blast." The skulls blasted beams of pure heat at the Grimm, melting them into puddles of black goo.

The color of the world started to come back, leaving Dominic to collapse on the ground from exhaustion. When time resumed, Ruby and the others had no clue what had transported the silver-eyed Huntress back to the group.

"How did I-?" Ruby said before being hugged by Yang.

"Don't you ever do that again!" the blonde scolded. Though, she had no clue what happened either. Heck, the only people who even KNEW Time Break existed were Connor and Gregory. And even then they didn't understand how exactly it worked.

"Everyone, look!" Nora yelled, pointing at Dominic and the two puddles of goo.

Yang and Ruby ran to their brother, not knowing what he'd gone through. When Yang tried to touch him, her Aura protected her from the intense heat he was emitting. "OW!"

"Don't try to touch him! His body temperature is on par with the Sun right now!" Connor explained. He knelt down to the unconscious pyromancer, holding his hand over him as he did so. "He just overexerted himself. Some rest and he'll be fine." Connor explained. "But that Nevermore might complicate things."

"Actually, we may have a method of waking him right now." Yang said, with Ruby and Gregory nodding.

"What is it?" Weiss asked.

"You need to say the magic word." Ruby said.

"Please?" Jaune suggested.

"No. Bacon." Gregory deadpanned. As he did so, Dominic woke up and looked for the salty meat. When he couldn't find any, he gazed accusingly at his siblings. "Not our fault you overdid it with your Semblance." Gregory said as he and Jaune picked their relics.

"So how do we deal with Tweety over there?" Dominic asked as he stood up.

"I think it's in my range. Say the word, and I'll shoot it down." Ivy said, grabbing one of her knives.

"Perfect. Ruby, you and the others get out. We'll handle this." Dominic said, pulling his weapon out. Connor and Gregory did the same, their Auras slightly visible. Understanding what he was planning to do, Ruby ran away with the rest of her soon to be team as well as future Team JNPR.

"What now?" Connor asked as the Nevermore started flying toward Ruby and her group. Dominic simply took a step forward, and the giant Grimm swooped down to him.

"Gregory, now." Dominic commanded. Without even taking a breath, Gregory created a giant bubble around them that the Nevermore crashed into. The bubble popped, disorienting the avian Grimm. "NOW, HIT IT WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!" Dominic screamed.

Ivy threw her Aura infused knives, Connor shot a beam of darkness, Dominic used a Sword Beam, and Gregory caused icicles to rise from the ground to stab it.

"Did that do it?" Connor asked. When the smoke cleared, it revealed that they managed to kill it.

"Let's get back to Beacon." Dominic said as he walked back before stopping suddenly.

"You don't remember where Beacon is, do you?" Gregory asked. "There's bacon at Beacon." Gregory said, causing Dominic to run straight toward Beacon, leaving a trail of fire in his wake. "He's not gonna last a week here." Gregory said as he led the others through the forest using Dominic's flame trail as a navigation system.

Beacon Auditorium, evening

"Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the White Rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team JNPR." Ozpin said to the four students. "Led by Jaune Arc!"

This made Jaune gulp in terror. He couldn't be the leader, right? Pyrrha "gently" punched her new leader, but accidentally knocked him over.

"Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Yang Xiao-Long. The four of you retrieved the White Knight pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team RWBY. Led by Ruby Rose!"

Weiss looked at her new leader in shock. SHE was supposed to lead them. Yang couldn't help but hug her sister and tell her how proud she was.

"Gregory Rose, Connor Schnee, Ivy Verdant, Dominic Xiao-Long. The four of you retrieved the White King pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team XICR(Scissor). Led by Dominic Xiao-Long!"

Gregory was speechless. His lazy shmuck of a brother is their LEADER!? Dominic could feel the icy glare his brother was giving him just by understanding what his personality was like.

"Things are shaping up to be an interesting year." Ozpin said as Gregory chased his brother off the stage.
