New Trip
Chapter 1: As expected, Natsuki Subaru has very bad luck.
The sounds of desperate gasps that were looking for oxygen came from his mouth, his arms moved instinctively trying to hold something, his eyes moved frantically in the hope of finding at least a little ray of light in this infinite darkness.
But there was nothing, he knew it well, after all, he had been in this place before, Satella's garden of shadows.
But somehow this time he felt different, the pressure on his whole body, the feeling of despair, Subaru's instincts kept screaming that something really bad was going to happen.
In his desperate state, Subaru's mind cursed the world for the umpteenth time.
Why? Why every time something good happened to him, there was always bad news to bring him back to the horrible reality that the world seemed to hate him?
When he managed to save Emilia, Felt, and Rom from Elsa with the intervention of Reinhard, he ended up with an open stomach and unconscious until he was taken to the Roswaal mansion.
When he was able to save the villagers of Arlam and gain Rem's trust, his gate was damaged, further limiting his already deficient use of magic.
When he surpassed both the white whale and Petelguese, helping Crush and her army, and saving all of Arlam and the residents of the mansion after Rem encouraged him not to surrender, he lost her.
The only person who until that moment showed him that she loved him just as he was and that she wanted to see him be the best possible version of him, in addition to that, he also lost a friend and ally in the form of Crush.
And so, everything was repeated, over and over again with every problem he faced, the sanctuary? He defeated Roswaal and destiny, save everyone, and gained strong allies.
But in the end, his gate broke completely, and he also took one of the worst deaths he had experienced in his entire existence.

And although he managed to wake Rem up after all the suffering and constant struggles, he lost to Shaula and ended up parting ways with his friends, lost with an amnesiac Rem who didn't trust him and a seemingly harmless Louis in a strange land.
From his lessons learned and resolutions taken, he was determined to keep Rem safe and return to Lugunica with all those he appreciated more than his life, he owed her, she was the one who gave him the courage not to give up when he was at his most low.
But once again, fate slapped him and taunted him as he wriggled on the ground, of all the places they could have been, they ended in Vollachia.
His journey there... broke him, broke him in ways that he believed were not possible.
Rem almost abandoned him, he was captured and tortured more than once, he was beheaded, drowned in a miserable bucket of water, marked as cattle multiple times to death from the shock of pain, he was hanged, executed in public, accused of being a spy from Lugunica.
Subaru had never wanted permanent death as much as in his time in Vollachia, and when he was about to give up completely, just huddling in a corner while everything happened, leaving many innocents to die and sick sadists to win, all for the desire to survive this hell and flee into the arms of Emilia, Betty, and his friends when it was all over, she raised him once more.
In the same way that she did in the capital, as she did in the Watchtower, Rem appeared before him to ask him not to surrender, to fight against the impossible once more.
Louis Arneb turned out not to be the same as he had met in the Watchtower.
The girl, despite being somewhat similar, now became something else.
After her mind break, by experiencing his "gift" first hand, she used the memories and feelings of the Rem that he knew as a shield to not lost herself completely.

She stood there looking at him for a second before jumping up to hug him, crying her eyes out, for the happiness of being reunited with her hero, and for the regret for how she had treated him so far.
Subaru's eyes recovered a little from the light, and shortly afterward, he cried once more.
When she woke up and did not recognize him, he accepted it and moved on, after all, now she was awake, and they could laugh again while talking about the future, even if he had to start from zero with her.
But deep down, he also felt hurt, Natsuki Subaru was human after all, and seeing how one of the people he loved the most in the world did not remember him left an emptiness in his heart.
Every time he met her eyes, he no longer saw that feeling of sincere love, but now caution and mistrust were almost the only feelings she directed him.
That's why, when he heard her calling him Subaru-kun once more while hugging him, he felt the tears fall again, tears of happiness that told him that she was here with him and that that was all that mattered.
Subaru clung to her small body like a scared child, fearing that she might disappear forever if he released her, but also hoping that what had just happened was a reality.
After that, he wanted to run away, he wanted to take Louis and Rem and cross the border, but once, again Rem did not allow it, after all, between his babbling while he was completely broken, he gave a little information about what was going to happen soon.
That Vollachia was, if not doomed, at least close enough, and all so that later they would declare war to Lugunica.
Subaru's safety was Rem's priority, but watching his hero martyr himself at night while scratching his arms until bled and repeating the names of the friends he had made in this nation made Rem convince him once more of not giving up, not abandoning his friends, as he didn't abandon her when, due to her state of amnesia, she treated him coldly and roughly most of the time.
She convinced him to overcome those voices that tormented him at night, that kept repeating that he would fail one more time, and that when he did, they would take one of the few things he had managed to save, Rem, and this time, it would be for forever.
Subaru once again cried like a child, but he promised himself that those would be the last tears other than happiness that he would shed in this violent nation.
After that, he managed to convince Cecilus to be completely on his side, as well as Priscilla, and together with Vincent, they prevented the plan to take the throne of the land of wolves from happening, but in the end, the last enemy appeared.
Capella, the Archbishop of the Sin of Lust, someone with a completely deranged vision of love, and who had been pulling the strings behind the scenes, struck out unexpectedly along with an enormous number of assassins under her command.
It took the efforts of Priscilla, Cecilus, Vincent, Al, Rem, and Subaru himself using his new Gluttony authority along with Betty, who had come to Vollachia along with other members of their camp, acting as a distraction for the assassins and providing support from time to time to kill the archbishop.
And when she fell defeated, Subaru sighed tiredly and fell into a sitting position, finally, finally, it was all over, or so he thought.
Because he instantly saw how the damn woman reappeared this time behind his Beako, Subaru did not doubt for a single second, and even with his battered body from the use of his authorities, he used the newest of them one last time.
[Error Eater] as he decided to call it, was, like all the authorities he had up to now, a poor and inferior version of what the archbishops had presented.
This ability allowed him to eat any aspect that he considered "negative" of a target, such as an injury, ailment, a curse, or even an attack, whether physical or magical, and give him for just over 5 seconds a boost to all his physical abilities and authorities equivalent to the degree of negativity of what he ate.

And it was at that moment that everything went to hell, as a candidate for sage, Subaru was able to accept the genes of sin and make them his own, but the problem is that this only happened when the previous bearer passed away.
Ignorant of this fact, Subaru activated a kind of defense mechanism of the same genes against anyone who tried to take them by force, the lust gene attacked not only his body but also spread its roots intending to corrode his soul.
But this, in turn, caught someone else's attention, Capella's movements stopped, Betty's hair that was moving along with her head when she turned to see Subaru was frozen in time, just like the morningstar that Rem threw at the archbishop, and Cecilus's sword that was already a hair's distance from the girl's neck, all was stopped along with the world itself.
She presented herself, the greatest evil in history, Satella roared furiously at the attempted contamination of her lover's soul, while her black hands moved in the direction of the lust gene and crushed him into submission, Envy roared with double of anger as the darkness swallowed the whole world.
The ground under Subaru's feet disappeared, and he felt himself falling into infinite darkness, from one moment to another the black-haired boy could move his body again.
Gasping for oxygen, instinctively waving his arms to try to find something to hold, moving his eyes frantically in the hope of finding a ray of light in this endless darkness.
But it was useless, all his efforts were useless, at that moment Subaru made a decision, he closed his eyes with all the strength he could, his tongue came out of his mouth, and his teeth prepared to separate it from his body.
This time he had nothing on hand to commit suicide, so he would improvise and come back from the dead one more time to save them all.
But when he was about to bite and seal his fate, a small hand took his, Subaru's eyes snapped open, and he saw the golden drill-shaped curls that he liked to see so much in his partner.
"Beatrice!" He screamed, so surprised and desperate was he that he used the name of his spirit instead of the nickname he had given her.
"[E.M.M] Indeed!" The little spirit scream as she clung to her contractor's chest.
And once again, something that shouldn't have happened happened, [E.M.M] was a spell within the Yin category that interfered with space-time giving its user an absolute defense.
However, against someone like Satella, even that impenetrable defense, was pierced as easily as a cannonball would pierce a fragile wall of glass.
But the problem was that break a space-time wall using the same concept broke not only those walls, but the collision caused the space and time near the barrier to also break.
A crack was opened near to the duo that acted as a vacuum cleaner swallowing Subaru and Beatrice before a dark hand caught them.
This tear in the fabric of the same space and time led both the unfortunate Natsuki Subaru and the great spirit Beatrice to a place unknown to both of them.
Ok, I was reading some fics and theories about arc 7 and things that could happen later, and before I knew it, I was writing this, I don't know if I will write what happens next or if it will be just a one-shot.
Anyway, if someone wants to use this as a base and send Subaru to ... anywhere you want, you are free to do it, this fandom needs more crossovers with Subaru as the protagonist.
And tell me what you think about the authority of Gluttony that I gave him, I thought of giving him something more of the "shonen protagonist" type, but as usual, makes Subaru better support than a direct fighter.
