5. SCP-P-8546 The Swamp Ghost

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-P-8546 is currently being held in a Standard Humanoid Containment Chamber. Two guards armed with Mk3 Electric Capture Nets are to be stationed outside the containment chamber at all times. Personnel are not allowed access to SCP-P-8546 unless otherwise approved by Senior Researcher Smith. At this time, more advanced containment procedures are still being formulated as necessary.

Description: SCP-P-8546 is a small humanoid entity that is seemingly composed of a viscous dark fluid. Its head appears to be composed of chitin and resembles an enlarged insect shaped helmet. SCP-P-8546 appears to be wearing a worn cloak. This cloak, however, is believed to be biological in origin and composed of a chitinous material as well. SCP-P-8546 weighs 14.58kg and stands at about 93.80cm. SCP-P-8546 has been noted to feel cold to the touch, temperature measurements are still being taken.

The fluid which composes SCP-P-8546 has yet to be identified. Preliminary tests on its makeup are inconclusive. The fluid acts as a skin irritant and is theorized to be highly corrosive. The fluid moves independently of SCP-P-8546 while still maintaining form. The material is highly resistant to both blunt force and electrical shock. During capture, the entity required electrical voltage approximately twenty times what would be required to subdue a normal human. Other methods of subdual are being investigated.

SCP-P-8546 has demonstrated an ability to store and obtain a sharpened weapon within its own body. The weapon wielded is close in size to the entity itself and can be drawn at will. It is unknown how the entity is able to store the weapon within itself, given that in most spatial configurations it would poke out of the other side of the entity. However, this ability and the extremely light weight of the entity might indicate that it is hollow. This weapon, hence referred to SCP-8546-1, was withdrawn into SCP-P-8546 as it was captured and has not yet been redrawn. Whether or not the entity can store other objects is unknown.

SCP-P-8546 has demonstrated some degree of intelligence. It is capable of both wielding SCP-8546-1 and utilizing advanced swordsmanship techniques, as well as limited problem-solving capabilities. It, however, is not believed to be capable of either speaking or comprehending language. Additionally, SCP-P-8546 has shown itself to be hostile to humans both before and during capture. Intelligence testing will commence once more physical characteristics and anomalous properties are ascertained.
