Item #: SCP-8546
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8546 is currently being held in a Standard Humanoid Containment Chamber. Four guards armed with Mk3 Electric Capture Nets are to be on standby at all times. Personnel are allowed access only with the approval of Senior Researcher Smith. Personnel are advised against making physical contact with SCP-8546 due to potential hazards posed by its body composition. Additionally, staff are advised against making unnecessary conversation due to inefficiency and poor composition in the anomaly's ability to communicate.
SCP-8546 is allowed to roam within the designated anomaly-approved areas of Site-⬛in accordance with good behavior and future cooperation with Foundation staff. Should this behavior change, these privileges are liable to be revoked.
Description: SCP-8546 is a sapient insectoid entity. The entity stands at 93.80cm. The entity weighs approximately 14.58kg. A majority of the entity's torso, limbs, and total body mass is composed of a viscous black fluid. The entity's head is composed of a white chitinous material and resembles a helmet with two horns. The entity has a chitinous cloak which is connected around the collar to its body. This cloak is biological in origin and is an extension of its body.
The fluid which composes SCP-8546 has yet to be identified. Multiple tests on its makeup have returned inconclusive. The fluid acts as a skin irritant and is theorized to be highly corrosive. The fluid moves independently of SCP-P-8546 while still maintaining form. The entity is capable of molding the shape of this fluid while still maintaining fully-body cohesion. For more information, see Addendum 8546-1.
The entity claims to have originated from an alternate reality. Within this reality, a calamitous event or attack was directed at SCP-8546, resulting in it being displaced to our reality. Information about the environment, inhabitants, and the action by which SCP-8546 was displaced are currently being investigated. The entity displays frequent curiosity and a desire to learn more about our reality. Such tendencies indicate that its baseline reality is likely very different to our own. Information sharing is currently being used as a method to ensure both cooperation with and loyalty to The Foundation.
SCP-8546 is capable of storing objects within its body. It has drawn and sheathed a sharpened weapon from within its own torso. It is unknown how the entity is able to store the weapon within itself, given that in most spatial configurations it would exit the other side of the entity. It is currently hypothesized that within the entity the fluid acts as a spatial anomaly allowing larger than expected objects to be stored. Interviews with the entity have indicated the likelihood that other objects, currently unknown, are stored within the entity. The full limits of this ability are not yet known.
SCP-8546 is completely incapable of verbal communication, and most audio that would be produced by the entity is extremely muffled. This is believed to be a property of the fluid that composes the entity. Due to this fact, the entity communicates entirely through written methods. Currently it has been granted the usage of reusable writing implements. These are to be kept on its person at all times in order to allow communication when necessary. Currently, the anomaly's understanding of the English language is limited. To improve its composition abilities, it has been enrolled in elementary-level composition courses.
SCP-8546 is highly skilled at melee combat. It is capable of wielding its weapon with great proficiency indicating extensive training. It is capable of leaping several times its own height and dashing forward at immense speed. These attributes make it highly mobile, and coupled with its small stature, makes it incredibly effective at close quarters combat. Additionally, the entity is resilient to most forms of conventional weaponry. Blunt force, electrical shock, fire arms, and sharpened weaponry are all significantly less effective against SCP-8546 than would be expected of a non-anomalous human. Due to these traits, the entity is currently under consideration for membership in MTF Alpha-9, "Last Hope", by Site Director Johanson.

Researcher's Notes:
Unfortunately, the fact that the entity is allowed to possess a weapon is a mishap. We are bound by our current policy to grant such a privilege until the entity proves they cannot be trusted. It has shown no sign of ill-intent thus far and is generally passive towards the human staff members. However, this does not mean that a threat is not present, as is the case with any SCP object. Staff members are encouraged to view the SCP as a potential threat. In the case that they do act with hostility towards Foundation staff or attempts escape, do not attempt to combat the entity by yourself. Their agility would render the attempt futile and likely fatal. In such a hypothetical, the advised course of action is to shelter in place while guards with specialized weaponry are dispatched to capture the object.
