POV: Nami
What had we gotten ourselves into this time? Everyday as a Straw-Hat pirate bring with it new and strange experiences but this time one really took the cake. It started off horrible enough, after our hasty exit from whisky peak and our terrifying run in with Miss. All-Sunday we eventually made it to a new island. While the others decide it'd be a good idea to go charging in to explore, I mean even Vivi a princess decide she wanted to see the scary monster filled island. Uospp and I were the only two with a bit of sense to say with the ship after seeing the giant creatures lurking on the shore. I defiantly spoke much too soon. A giant arrived right next to the ship and asked for sake, willing to give him anything he wanted to make sure he didn't eat us we immediately agreed to give him the cooking alcohol we had. The giant was then attacked by a dinosaurs of all things scream loud enough to cause my bones to shake. After killing the monster in one swing of his massive axe he showed off its decapitated head and the next thing I know I'm no longer on the ship.
After a few more awkward misunderstandings, we became assure that this giant, Broggy, wasn't going to eat us we managed to calm down and speak with the seemingly gentle giant. Our conversation was interrupted by the sounds of an erupting volcano and the air around the giant seem to change. He grabbed his weapon and shield and rushed away towards a second giant. The two fought like and I though Usopp was losing his mind shouting about how he would become a great warrior of the sea like the two tower mountains fighting. Once Broggy returned after the fight which ended in a draw, he told us about how Luffy and Vivi were actually in the camp with the other giant, Dorry. Usopp asked about the fight while I questioned him about the log pose, turns out we would have to wait a whole year before it reset, that was way too much time. Before we could lose hope Broggy did mention that there was someone else on the island who could probably help us. Apparently, a boy washed up on the island years ago and had been living here fighting off any pirates that came. He probably had a log pose that had already log the island and was point to a new one.
Before I could get more information out of the giant the volcano once again went off signaling the restart of their 100-year duel. The fight this time around was even more amazing then the first. I'm no expert but even I could tell the two were giving it there all. Then the ending of the battle came and once again it looked like it was going to be another draw, and I was right, but also so very wrong. What sounded like cannon fire one after the other herald the arrival of five massive white harpoons. Striking each fighting giant, Broggy in the leg and Dorry in the arm. The giant must have been as surprised as we were because neither was able to stop their attack each scoring a devastating blow on the other. Just when I thought it was over, another round of cannon fire and a second group of the same harpoons this time multiple speared each of the giants. The world seems to freeze in complete disbelief on what just happen before both giants collapsed to the ground shake the whole island.
Uospp took off like a bullet, completely forgetting about the monster filled jungle around us. I followed behind wanting to check on the giant as well as make sure Uospp didn't get eaten. I needn't have worried the once bustling jungle seem to have gone silent as we made our way to the battlefield. When we finally made it, we found Vivi, Karoo and Luffy already there checking on the down giants along with them was another person I hadn't met. Dark brown skin like that of the Baroques Works agent Mr.5, blue eyes black hair and he only wore a pair of pants for some reason. He was kneeling down next to the two down and unmoving giants' tears running down his face that held a look of disbelief that matched Uospp.
"Luffy, Vivi did you see? Are they alright?" Uospp got their attention as we made our way closer the man not even looking up at our arrival.
"We don't know we just got here, who could have done such a horrible thing?" Vivi places a hand over her mouth her eyes returning to the two giants.
"Candle Wave" a voice comes from behind us, I mange to turn and look as a white wave over takes me and from the surprise shouts of the others them as well. Wave feels warm before cooling quickly and hardening around my body. I couldn't move so much as an inch, but now I was face out assailant. Flank by Mr.5 and Miss. Valentine was a man and judging by the weird hair style he was Mr.3 behind him a young girl no doubt his partner. "Well well well, looks like my plan worked better than I could have ever hoped. Capturing the Straw-Hats and the Princess in one fell swope I even got that ill tempered brute that left me in such a humiliating state earlier. Don't bother trying to escape this I learned from our last encounter and I've layered the wax even I a giant couldn't break out of that not that those two will be going anywhere anytime soon." Mr.3 voice is grating to listen to a part of me wishes he'd just get this over with already.
"You did this? You attacked the giants? How dare you let me out of her so I can kick your ass!" Luffy struggles against his binds his neck stretching to crazy lengths but get him no closer to freedom.
"Yes, the giant, the Red Giant Broggy, and the Blue Giant Dorry, with a combined bounty of 200 million Belly how could we pass that up. While the execution was a team effort the plan was all my idea." The temperature on this already hot and humid island seem to increase after his statement.
"What did you just say?" It was like the quiet whisper of the wind, I almost thought I has imagined it but judging by the look of the others faces they heard it two. The surrounding the new guy's body bends and twist as he turns to face the numbered agents, not seeming to have the same trouble moving as we did.
"Oh, and here I thought you were going to remain silent again. I was simply explaining how after your sneak attack on myself and Miss. Goldenweek delay my first plans for the giants it did inspire my second. You see I realized that you were right as loathe as I am to give acknowledgement to a neanderthal such as yourself, I shouldn't just wait for my opponent to lose I should take action to assure they do. My days tied to my ship allowed me to view their battle, and I notice every time they give there all in that final attack, and for that moment they become blind to the outside world. With my plan set I just had to wait to be freed, and lucky me in a bid to keep hidden from the straw-hat they approached the island from a different direction thus spotting me as well as my ship. Once I was free, I set my plans into motion with the help of Mr. 5's Devil Fruit in conjunction with my own taking out the two giants was child's play." Mr.3 didn't seem to notice, so caught up in his own brilliance. The lock on the mans face which was once filed with fear and disbelief is now full of fury. His red eyes seeming to glow with menace.
'Red? Weren't his eyes blue?' I took a closer look and confirmed his eyes are definitely red and what's more they appeared to be shining a harsh crimson. The heat I once felt was now nearly unbearable so hot in fact the wax around us had started to melt.
"So, it was you?" Harsh red light now over took both of the man's eyes completely making it impossible to look directly into them "you did this" it wasn't a question any longer and the heat he was giving off had cause the wax surrounding him to completely give in the man standing up with no trouble. "You hurt Broggy and Dorry." And with that statement a beam of angry red energy shot out of his eyes, the number agents barely getting out of the way in time hell Mr.3s burning 3 hair was blasted out. And so were the trees behind them, and anything in the man sight all the way back to the ocean. A huge plum of steam could be seen shooting into the air and the his of sea water becoming vaper could be heard. The number agents seem to realize just how big of a hole they just dug themselves into, judging by the look of shock and horror on all their faces. "You're going to pay, you're all going to pay." With his last statement pressure seem to wash over, so strong I nearly faint for a second time today. I mange to hold on doing better than Karoo and the little painter girl who both seem to fainted. The others seem dazed and horrified in equal measure.
"Who is this guy?!?" I wasn't really expecting an answer but I got one anyways.
"That's Kal, he's an alien that just joined our crew." Luffy's normal jovial attitude is noticeable subdued as he answers, usually when someone joins us, he's bouncing all over to introduce them but it seems even he realizes the situation going on right now. Before I could question him further my attention is immediately grab by the man, Kal, seeming to vanish. The ground where he once stood cracked and caved in, just as he vanishes and reappears bearing down on Mr.3 a fist cocked back ready to deliver a blow.
"Candle Slide" wax shoots out of Mr.3's back and he's carried away dodging the blow, Kals fist slams into the ground and the whole Island seems to quake the ground splitting apart. My eyes widen in complete disbelief, if I hadn't been trapped in place by the wax, they punch would've blown me away.
"Did you just see that? How strong is this guy?" Uospp seems just as shocked as me.
"Breeze Breath Bomb" an explosion covers Kal, and the number agents regroup Miss. Valentine landing after quick escape early.
"Did you get him?" She turns to her partner. She needn't have asked as another beam of red energy lances out of the cloud, Mr. 5 detonates his fist scattering the agents and allowing them to dodge the attack. Miss. Valentine floats back up into the air while Mr.3 uses his wax to slow his momentum. The cloud clears and Kal is once again reveal complete unharmed by the earlier explosion. "Not even a scratch, well let see if you can handle this one tough guy, 10,000 Kilo Guillotine." Miss Valentine hurtles down like a meteor one leg hurtling towards Kals head, Kals hand fly up at the last moment and catches the 10,000-kilogram women by her out stretched leg, the ground beneath the two cratering even worse. "How the-"
*SMASH*
she's cut off as Kal swings the women with all his might into the ground. Her back digs deep into the unstable jungle floor and spit shoot out of her mouth.
*SMASH*
but Kal wasn't done with the women he pivots and smashes her face first into the ground.
*SMASH*

*SMASH*
If she wasn't knocked out during the first swing then she most certainly was now. Mr.5 made a move to rescues his partner, his fist shining bright prepared to detonate, only to stop as her battered body is thrown like a speeding cannon ball at him. He catches the women whose Devil Fruit must have turned off when she was knock unconscious. But Mr.5 shouldn't have taken his eyes off of his opponent although it may not have matter as Kal once again seem to vanish into thin air appearing behind the distracted man a leg raised to crush both agents.
"Candle Spring" a large pure white spring materializes catching Kals descending leg and save the number agents.
"Kick Bomb" Mr.5 kicks Kal in the chest an explosion going off on contact, the number agent using the force to get himself and his partner away. "Thanks for the save." Mr.5 sets his downed partner next to the still uncurious little girl a cocoon of wax moving the two away from the battle. "None of our attacks are working, we need to retreat and wake the others, call for back up."
"Ha, we both know what'll happen if we do, the boss would have us killed for failure." Mr.3 shakes his in resignation.
"Then let's not make it one, our mission was to eliminate the Princess and the Straw-Hats nothing about whoever this guy is." He glances over at us still trapped in wax and my blood runs cold.
"Right, I'll stall you take care of them. Candle Spears." Several white spears launch themselves at Kal as Mr.5 sprints towards the five of us.
"LUFFY DO SOMETHING!!" I scream wiggling around in a vein attempt to free myself.
"I'm trying but I can't get free." He hadn't given up his attempts to break out of his imprisonment. Mr.5 is almost to Vivi when sudden Kal appear in front of him delivering an uppercut so strong it sends the man fly into the air and above the trees. Kal takes a massive leap going after the fly Mr.5, his foot kicks out and somehow, he's sent fly upwards fast than before. "HE CAN FLY?!?" I'm just as shock as Luffy as I watch Kal position himself behind Mr.5, he wraps his arms around the man in a bear hug trapping him before repositioning the two of them so they are both falling head first towards the ground. Then he starts spinning. The two hurtle towards the ground spinning faster and faster before crashing sending another quick through the island. Kal reappears quickly looking no worse from his meeting with the ground, Mr.5 however seems to be buried head first into the ground and no moving.
"Candle Wave. I'll just bury you all under a wave of wax and let you suffocate. I can just come back and collect your corpses later." Mr.3 sends a much larger wave of wax at us this time, if we get covered in that there's no way we'll make it out alive. Before I could despair, another red beam is sent towards the wave of incoming wax vaporizing a large section, the beam keeps up till the wave is no longer dangerous. "No this can't be happening, Candle Spikes." He sends a hail of spikes at the man, the do nothing as the man starts moving towards the wax human. "Stay back. Candle Wall." Mr.3's once condescending voice was now filled with terror. He sent attack after attack towards the advancing man and none slowed him down, he either tour through them with his bare hands or shot more of those beams. His eyes shone so bright that Mr.3s body was completely obscured by the crimson glow.
"Bullfight Red" the newest beam shot out completely missing Mr.3 and burning through a tree behind him instead. The young girl that had fainted during the start of the fight had woken up and was holding her paint brush out towards the recently destroyed tree. She seemed to be mixing paint for some reason "Tranquil Green" she splashes green paint in a strange symbol all over Kal, the glow in his eye disappears instantly, his movement which were once filled with rage had vanished without a trace.
"M-miss. G-g-goldenweek good timing now we can off the rest of them and get and complete the mission." He moves pasted the now seemingly sleeping Kal and forms a blade from with his powers.
"Wake up! What are you doing? At least break me out so I can kick their asses!" Luffy shakes harder still making no progress, I look around for something that might help but no luck Vivi and Uospp look back out me with a similar look of fear.
"Say your prays Straw-Hats." He lifts his arm and swing with everything he's got.
"Flanchet" a shadow passes over us and slams into Mr.3s sending him flying. "The hell you think your doing raising a hand to Nami and Vivi?"
"Sanji!?!" We all look to our newest savior.
"Wait a minute, what about Luffy, Karoo and I huh? Don't you care we were about to be killed?"
"Not really."
"OI!"
"I mean if the two of you were gone, I'd Vivi and Nami all to myself… alright you can have the two idiots."
"Hey!"
"This is no time to be joking their assassin sent by Bourque Works they want to kill Vivi." This snaps Sanji out of his creepy love hazy, he lit up a cigarette and takes a long pull before blowing out the smoke.
"Is that right, if you're after the lovely Vivi then that changes everything." He flicks the cigarette towards the downed agents "then I'll make sure to leave your body nice and tender for the animal, becoming Dinosaur shit is more then generous." Sanji jumps high into the air and comes down on Mr.3 "Mouton Shot" he rains kick after kick on Mr.3. Mr.3 fly's backwards once again land among his knocked-out companions joining them, leaving just the young painter awake.
"Sanji watch out for her paints they did something to Kal." I call out as I watch the girl quickly mix several colors together.
"Betrayal Black." She sent this new color flying out, but not towards Sanji. It splashes against Kal covering up the former green symbol. Immediately Kal starts to move again heading straight at Sanji.
"What the, who the hell is this guy?" Sanji jumps back dodging a ground cratering attack.
"That's Kal he just joins our crew so don't hurt him." Luffy helpfully supplies.
"Hurt him? Did you not see what he's doing to the ground?" Sanji jumps back and sends a flurry of kicks at Kal "Flanchet Tendron Cuisseau" each one didn't seem to faze the man out all. "What the hell is this man made of steel?" Sanji wasn't wrong, Kal seem to made of metal, the way he was tearing up the island, and ripping through Mr.3s candle even Luffy couldn't- that's it.
"Sanji, see if you can lure him over to Luffy."
"What? I thought the idea was to not let anyone be crushed."
"Just trust me land over on Luffy."
"Of course, Nami my love, over here metal head." Sanji jumps landing with both feet besides Luffy's head. Kal jumps towards the two, fist pulled back for a devastating attack, "Now Sanji dodge." No hesitation he jumps away allowing Kals fist to smash into Mr.3s candle prison ripping right through it.
"Yes, I'm finally free!" Luffy springs up like he didn't just take an attack that shock the island a second ago free of Mr.3s candle wax.
"Good for you but the rest of us are still trapped so if you could hurry up and free us!!"
"No problem Uospp we can just have Kal do the same thing to you." Luffy grins.
"On second thought I can wait a bit longer, please take your time." Typical.
"Ignore him, that paint on his back, it's the cause of this if you can remove it, he'll probably go back to normal."
"Right away Nami-Swan. Luffy try to keep his attention on you, I'll go around and see if I can get that paint off."
"No problem Sanji, now Gum Gum Pistol." Luffys fist shoots out and smash into Kal face slightly turning his head but otherwise showing no damage. "Gum Gum Gatling" punch after punch lands on Kal but it doesn't seem to affect Kal at all. Kals hands shoot up and catch's both of Luffy's. "Gum Gum Bell." Luffy slams his head into Kal, he didn't expect that making him take a step back. "Now Sanji."
"Cotelette" Sanji goes into a handstand kicking outwards against Kal ribs "Selle" using Kals body to spin in the opposite direction his foot grinding against Kals back, he flips up smudging the paint on Kal into unrecognizable image. Kal freezes up for a second before letting go of Luffy.
"You did it."
"Way to go guys."
"Is he alright?"
"Where'd they go?" After seeming to come to his senses Kal looks around. I along with the others look around and noticed that all the Number agents and partners had disappeared.
"They must've run off while you were being controlled." I say, he looks like he wants to take off after them, but before he can a loud rumbling noise could be heard coming from behind us. Everyone turns as best they can to see the next annoyance only to be surprised at the two giants moving to sit up.
"What the hell happened? Broggy you still alive?" The blue giant Dorry calls out.
"Of course, I am, if you survived then of course I would." Broggy calls back noticeable less boisterous than he was earlier.
"Broggy, Dorry, you're both alive." Kal runs towards the now awake giants.
"Of course, we are it'll take a lot more than a few tooth picks to kill us off, though now that I think about it, didn't I get you pretty good with my sword Broggy?"
"Yeah, and I remember you taking a hit from my axe Dorry." The two look down at themselves, before laughter draws all of our attention.
"Hehahahaha well what did you expect, you've fought everyday for 50 years with those weapons even the best tools wear out eventually." It was strange seeing the man who just a moment ago was tearing through people and fighting off two of our strongest crewmates looks so care free. 'Guess he was really worried about his friends.'
"Not to ruin the mood or whatever but could you please get us out of this stuff?" Kal looks towards me, he glances down at my predicament and his now blue eyes shift red "woah hold on I'm not- "before I can finish heat washes over my body, I close my eyes expecting the heat to go right through me like the trees and rocks, but it never gets uncomfortable hot before to long the heat goes back to jungle heat instead desert heat. I open my eyes and see the wax pool into the many craters made during the fight. I look over and see Luffy and Uospp who was currently being free staring at the man with stars in their eyes.
"So cool!!!" Luffy basically vibrating with excitement as he finishes freeing Uospp Sanji looks just as confused as I felt when I first saw it his cigarette falling from his lips.
"A new ability huh?" Dorry doesn't seem even slightly shocked by this.
"Some sort of hot sight." Broggy comments.
"Seriously? Heat Vision it's called Heat Vision." Kal sound as if they'd had similar conversations like this before.
"Ow" I look over at Vivi as she slaps the side of her neck.
"You alright?"
"I'm fine, something just bit me is all." She starts to scratch at her neck when a large hand reach over and stops her. "Hey what are you- "
"Shhh I need to focus." Kal still holding Vivi's arm looks closely at her neck. "I don't mean to alarm anyone but you wouldn't have happened to bring a doctor along with you?"
Authors Note:
Okay I'll be honest the ending kinda got away from me. But let me know how the fight scene was first time writing something like it and I was going for flow as well as epic. Also trying POV changes realized that if I want to do this right, I'm going to need to be able to write from other characters point of view so tell me how I did because I only see more happening in the future. So, this is just about the end of Little Garden next chapter they gear up and head towards Drum.
