Hello, this is my redone and rewritten version of my original The Hero Will Always Be Greedy. Many aspects and things are still the same because I do love my works and I worked very hard on them. The earlier chapters will be the most rewritten, and the later chapters will have a bit of reworking done to make it flow smoother.
NOW! I am still allowing PMing as long as it is RESPECTFUL! If you guys do anything like what those assholes did to me in the previous story, immediate block. No warning, nothing. Immediate block is what you get when you decide to be an asshole. Ahem, don't be afraid of lengthy comments, I tend to enjoy those the most and I do hope you all enjoy this story.
Now enjoy, and please...have fun with this new version.
"A comic book world brought to life," Ritsuka commented as he looked out the window of his penthouse hotel room. "It's a lot more dull than I'd thought it would be."
Behind him Mori and Raikou where setting up traditional tea ceremony with some snacks.
"I don't like this," the bloodthirsty warrior was grumbling since he found out about the state of this world. "I can't do nothing!"
"Clam down Mori," Ritsuka smiled as he turned to watch the both of them. "No need to get all worked up. But it is strange to think…" he turned to look out the window. "In the age of heroes, blood, death, valor and honor decided if you are a hero...not popularity polls."
"Those where in the age of kingdoms," Raikou began. "No such things have any realmpower anymore."
"A pity...they where easier to deal with," Ritsuka smiled as he placed his drink down. "But still...even in our modern days. Heroes received such a title in the same way as the time as old."
"Mayhaps," she conceded with a slight head nod. "Though you best figure out what our plan of action is so we may head back home."
"Yes, yes," he waved off. "I will be consulting with Sherlock and Sion later today about connecting into the week Ley Lines that Japan has."
"Semiramis and Gilgamesh were very….affected when we were in the middle east and all Ley Lines from the Age of Gods were fully depleted and dead." Raikou coughed.
"There's no mystery and magic...not much," he sighed. "Not anymore. It's more in line with the world that the Moon Cell first originated from, where mages gave up on the world itself."
"Drink your tea and relax, the move was stressful," She sighed, giving a bow. "We will figure out how to get home soon and how we will deal with the low mana."
"Yeah...I'm worried about the low mana levels," Mori murmured, clutched the cup tighter.
"As of right now servants can only work at 50-60% full capacity. Your Noble Phantasms only work at 75% capacity, even then we can't use with without good cause," Ritsuka began remember the trouble that arose shortly after they arrived. "For whatever reason our original base in Antarctica allows us to be at 100% capacity in both Servant usage and Noble Phantasms."
"Don't forget that Fame no longer helps us in strength. But being in our original homelands increases capacity to hover around 70%," Raikou reminded her child. "Even then, it's not muc help and we are feeling the pressure of prolonging fights and expending too much energy."
"Right...we have to make sure that no extra harm is done to the lesser people who commit crimes," Ritsuka refused to refer to them as 'Villains', this world did not know what a true villain was.
And he didn't want them to know that the true villains where always with him.
"But why Antarctica," Ritsuka murmured.
"It's unlikely that we would be able to accomplish anything by staying and hiding away in our base," Mori yelled, slamming his cup down. Ritsuka, too used to outbursts such as that, merely sipped his tea calmly as he tried to understand the situation they found themselves in.
"I worry…" Ritsuka murmured, shaking his head. "Apollo doesn't spit prophecies willy nilly," he nibbled at his bottom lip thinking of the smalle plushie like sheep that attached itself to Paris. He sagged as he thought about the tiny sheep that Paris had, why did he say what he said that day? "How are the doors?"
'The Doors between our facilities are up and running. We can be in Paris within a moment's walk," Loli Da Vinci smirked as she barged in, ignoring Raikou's scowl before plopping down. "And we have another inquiry from UA. They want a teacher."
"Ha! Maybe if they get down on their knees and beg for master to do so! He might be inclined to,' Mori smiled as he refilled their cups.
"Our more...scholarly servants refuse still," Ritsuka shot back, looking to the high school. "Even Chiron doesn't want to teach them and that's an achievement. Chiron refusing to teach someone..."
"They don't want to accept this world and their ethics. Chiron is the closest to what they have, but all these kids want to be heroes that gain money and fame, not too much unlike the heroes he trained...they are fundamentally different." Lovinci shrugged as she sipped her tea with a serene smile. "Though going into detail is bit of a...problem, since it's so complicated."
"It makes sense,' Ritsuka shrugged, ignoring the concerned looks his three servants gave him. "In a world where everyone has some form of magic, then saving everyone just becomes something expected," he sighed. "And you know Chiron doesn't deal too well with hero worship or ideals...well the foolish ones," he smiled.
"Indeed," Raikou nodded. "I'll be heading down to make dinner for tonight with the other staff."
'Good," Ritsuka nodded, waving as she left leaving him, Loivinci gave Mori thanks for the tea as she placed her empty cup down.
"My Lord...What are you planning on doing," Mori asked, placing the green tea down. "I know you and after all these years, I know when you are plotting something master."
"What was the position that they wanted us to fill," he hummed.
"Ethics." He read from the printed email Da Vinci brought.
"Well...when was the date for the interview?"
'Whenever we found time."
'At UA?"
'They would prefer it here."
'Not subtle are they?"
"People have tried for nearly a year to get in this place, Master. We can't allow them-"
"Oh we will. If only to get them off our backs for a while. Yan," Ritsuka spoke as the Assassin dropped from the rafters. "Kadoc and Pepe are still in Russia and India respectively? Yu in China?"
"Yup! But I can go and call them!"
'No need, they don't need to worry about this," he smiled. "Now...how do we go about justifying that the vice director is the once applying for the job?"
"Your going," Yan and Mori jolted, Loli sighing as she felt a head ache forming.
"Why wouldn't I," He smiled. "I do like children," he murmured and Yan jolted as a few names flashed across his memory.
Gelda, Boy, Asha, Adele, Makarios, Paxti.
"Of course master," Yan nodded and Mori jerked his head.
He's heard of what happened to Paxti, Gelda and the Boy, but he never saw them in his masters memory, because he locked them away from both his heart and mind.
"I have to say though," Yan hummed, sitting down with a grin. "I never imagined you'd want to pester UA as much as you are!"
'Nope! Besides, I want to see if they really will be the ones," he sighed.
"Of course…" Mori laughed before eyeing her master again as Yan left. "Would you like the latest medical report?"
"Nothing changed I assume," he shot back with a small glare, the warrior nodding solemly.
"Meuniere, Kawata, Octavia, Tomarin, Chin, Kayan, Elrond and Marcus are all in stable condition at the moment. If things go as we suspect they should be waking up soon...Director and Mashu…"
"They were idiots to get in the way of that attack."
"Say that all you want! Denigrate them all you want but they knew in the end it had to be you to go forward and fight this threat," Loli yelled, bothered by his coldness. As she looked at the boy she saw him looking to the ground, hands clenched tight as he tried to no doubt get that fight out of his mind.
"One year," his voice shook. "I wanted one year of peace after everything had been done. I didn't care if I was sidelined by the Association and UN. Forced to be a mentor to students who didn't respect. I didn't care that I would be forced into a paperpusher position...I just wanted ONE year!"
"I...I know...Ritsuka…," Loli sighed, getting up to go behind him and embrace the shaking boy "I know all you want is peace but...if it's him backing this man then we need you," she expressed.
'I know," he admitted, getting up from her embrace he moved to grab a bottle of liquor. "I know and I hate it."
"You know that Sherlock and Moriarty switched out your alcohol stash right?"
"It's nice to pretend. Leave please. Both of you," he sighed. "I'll be contacting UA soon."
"Don't try and force this," she advised. "And come down for dinner."
"Please my lord."
Silence was their answer.
"UA…" Ritsuka murmured, crossing his arms as he contemplated what was going to happen now.
UA TEACHERS LOUNGE
"What! We actually got permission," Mic yelped as Nezdu explained the situation.
"Indeed we did," the Bear, Rat, Mouse hybrid nodded into his tea. "Their vice director agreed to fill in the position of our ethics teacher."
'Their vice director," Midnight yelped. "Not only do we have monsters as students and All Might as a teacher, but the vice director of the murderous agency?!"
Ah...chaldea's rather unsightly nickname. The Murderous Agency.
A bit of an exaggeration, but not completely unwarranted.
They did have a trail of bodies, more often than not traffickers, rapitists, murderers and other nasty sorts that would have rotted in jail. Though their methods were...intense and their people were intense as well.
"They are also expecting him to run the World Wide National Museum...can you believe the countries basically gave all that stuff up," Snipe huffed. "Isn't it basically national treasures meant to be preserved?"
Ah that WWNM, a collection of every country's rather large history to be shown and maintained by Chaldea. It would have relics from 'Old Heroes' and myths and legends that the countries had. They had readily given Chaldea all their historic artifacts without much complaint. They are even giving them funding as well to maintain it."
"Yes, it seems that he will agree to teach ethics three times a week, the other two will be...mythologies and legends in the Museum...or no deal," nezdu explained. "I had to agree if only to be able to hopefully get some interns in Chaldea.
"But the bus fees! That is going to be so much-"
"They have it covered,' Nezdus sighed. "They insisted on paying the fee."
"They seem intent on hanging onto the past," Aizawa commented as he looked up from his jelly pouch. "Their director even more so."
He was a fanatic about history, anyone hero or villain could tell that as he ordered his heroes to have the names of people from legends...often corresponding with where they were located out in the world. He also seemed to be very inertested in creating his own type of specification of heroes outside of the norm.
"He's agreed for us to see the outer sanctum of the facility where we will conduct the meeting with the Vice. Apparently their warning to us is that he is older than he appears." Aziawa spoke up, looking bored but anyone could see his eyes where harp and interested.
"Oh," Powerloader asked.
"I would have suspected him for a 1st year sidekick," Nezdu offered as he pulled up the photo to the projector.
"Well he'll be popular," Midnight shook her head as she looked at the boy. "How old is he in the records?"
"He apparently just turned 26," Nezdu read off the file. "He has some sort of youth quirk I believe, it's never been fully researched."
"He looks like he's 18 if barely," Vlad King scoffed.
'Right here. December 18th 2XXX," Nezdu offered up, he looked to the blood hero with a piercing gaze. "I know it's hard to believe but that's his age."
Ritsuka Fujimaru. Male. Aged-26. Vice Director of Chaldea Security Organization. Quirk-Youth?
He was a beautiful boy, with inky black tresses that fell slightly past his shoulders, swept back and gave clear sight of his pale moon-like skin and crystal blue eyes.
"We have the meeting in two days. He agreed for me to bring along 3 other people for the meeting as he will be taking the heads of PR, Management and Support with him to see if they think helping him during the course would be worth their time."
"Well All Might-" Snipe began only to be cut off by Nezdu.
"They said that if All Might were to come then the deal is off. They do not wish to have the No.1 Hero in their facility. They fear...ideologies may clash," he coughed, Toshinori nodding as he clenched his fist impossibly tight. "And there is also...fear of repercussions of what happened a week ago."
He had a confrontation with one of the heroes not even a week prior to this meeting, they were a duo. The horned one named Shuten had melted off a man's hand, the screaming villain admitting that they were how he used his quirk and that he used them to butcher women and children who pissed him off.
Her partner named Kintoki had offered to off the man to rid the world of someone who killed more than 50 plus people.
The Back Alley slasher had finally been caught and almost brutally murdered himself.
"HALT!"
"Oya," Shuten hummed as she kicked the man in the torso again, causing him to whimper in pain; having lost his voice to his frantic screaming moment earlier.
"Release him young lady," All Might demanded before he crossed his arms to block a punch that sent him flying back.
"I wouldn't advise ordering Shuten around," Kintoki said as he flipped his hair back. "She might just devour you," he smirked, cracking his knuckles as the woman laughed.
"You know me so well boy! You best do good in this battle and I might even give you a reward!"
"Whatever," he grunted, catching the punch All Might threw at him with ease, he slid back a few feet. "I might not be at full power but in my homeland I'm close too it," he smirked, pushing the great hero back without much thought.
"Tch...this stupid place," Shuten grumbled as she took another shot from her sake jug and kicked the man again. "Better do well boy," she cheered as All Might tried again and again to punch Kintoki, the hero merely laughing as he dodged and caught most of the punches. The lucky ones that did hit sent more pain into Toshinori than Kintoki.
"Oi you two," a woman drolled out, making All Might stop in his tracks as Kintoki turned to a floating woman. "Stop it. Master ain't gonna be happy about you using all the resources for some little fun."
'Come now Oryou! Nothing fun has happened in months! I finally get some quality entertainment with the boy," Shuten purred as she still sat upon her now unconscious human throne.
"I am taking both of you in, your hero licesese will be revoked and Chaldea will face punishment-"
"I'm afraid that's impossible at the moment," a new voice spoke as Oryou drew out a "Ryoma' and floated to be beside him as the while clad man approached, taking off his hat. "We have a bit of an agreement with the government at the moment for complete and utter autonomy into how we deal with cases. That involves immunity from hero laws at the moment."
"Th...that can't be," he demanded.
'It is what it is," the man shrugged as a limo pulled up. "Get in you two. You've made enough trouble for today...huh...looks like he might actually die," he commented as his foot nudged the man.
"I cannot allow this to continue! I need to speak to your director! I will follow you if I must-" suddenly, like a burst of wind a shot rang through the air and a ice cold pain followed by burning heat seared thorough his thigh. He doubled over before a katana rested at his neck.
"You best figure out that even though you're the No.1 in Japan...that's under the HC and not us. We are something more," he, Ryoma he said his name, murmuring into his ear as crowds watched in horror and awe. "Stay away from Chaldea and don't even attempt to stop us again. It will end badly for you...Oryou lets go before Shuten actually kills the man."
"Okay," the floating woman nodded, motioning the woman to get up from the prone body and into the van.
'Ara, ara,'' she purred as her tiny body molded into Kintoki. "He looks like you boy if you grew up and matured...I find myself hating it." Her face turned to disgust before she moved to enter the limo, only to smile as he offered her a hand and a sheepish look.
'Don't compare me to him. Tch, and I was having to go all out too...stupid lesser….whatever,'' Kintoki grumbled as he helped her into the limo and hoisted himself in. "This is a warning you hear? Next time ain't going to be so golden my friend!"
And with that they drove away, leaving Toshinori with a bullet wound and a small slice on his neck from the insanely sharp katana that the man held.
"I...understand," he nodded, Nezdu doing the same back before speaking.
"I'll be taking Aizawa, Nemuri and Hizashi to Chaldea. Nemuri for her abilities with art, Hizashi for his English and Aizawa as our toughest...heroics teacher," he breathed. "Though they don't seem like they like the course all that much."
"Understood," the three nodded.
"They expect us tomorrow,' he began. "I expect you three in your hero gear and I expect you to follow everything we are told."
"Will Power Loader be giving us small nanobots?"
"No," Nezdu grumbled, rubbing his eyes. "I fear they may be a bit...too smart for something like that to work."
"Makes sense," said the man shrugged.
"This meeting is over. All of you go home and relax...the next few days will be stressful," nezdu grumbled the others nodding before heading out. "I….hope things don't get too difficult."
