NOW! I am still allowing PMing as long as it is RESPECTFUL! If you guys do anything like what those assholes did to me in the previous story, immediate block. No warning, nothing. Immediate block is what you get when you decide to be an asshole. Ahem, don't be afraid of lengthy comments, I tend to enjoy those the most and I do hope you all enjoy this story.
NOTE: I am warning you all, I do not want reviews and PM's about my punctuation and grammer. I do know there are things wrong with it, but it's 90% right and 10% wrong. I have a fulltime job, I go to school for a medical profession which makes it already about twice as hard because of all the chemical and biological reactions I need to remember. I don't have time to fix the minor fuck ups I do. You dont like it? Then just leave, don't spam me please. This isn't my main job, I do this because it's fun. Thats all.
Thanks, now enjoy.

"We are outside the Japanese Branch of the Chaldean Agency, hoping to catch a glimpse or interview with some of the departing heroes as they leave for the rescreening at their original agency all the way in Antarctica. So far, reports from all over the world have shown that seemingly overnight all Heroes have vanished from the agencies overnight! Chaldea had been known to be secretive, shown in how their elusive and outspoken director had been hiding and lying to the public-OH! It's the Priest Hero! Amakusa!"
'We ask that you speak not slanderously of our Director. It does us no good to speak ill of our neighbors...and Mori is about to combust as well."
"Fuck you all! You don't understand shit!"
"We merely wanted to ask you a few things before you head of-"
"Goodbye, we have nothing to say to anyone. We can only hope that things do not...end up messy. Come along Mori. We've stayed long enough to entertain them."
"Yeah! Yeah!"

"We are now entering the first week of the Chaldean Exodus, as many heroic experts are calling it. A divide seems to have formed in the wake of this mass parting of some of the most violent heroes in our generation. Many seem to find it a step backwards in the way of heroism, while others believe it to be a step forward. Many older generation hero experts are calling this something we will end up regretting in the future while the more open and liberal experts are calling it a good for society. More on that in today's story."

"The case of the Hero Killer, amidst the usual rounds of hero interning for all top heroes schools, can be attested to Okada Izo, one of three Chaldean heroes given special acceptance to continue on with his heroing. Reports indicated that Izo attempted to kill Stain, and has him saying that he, quote 'was stealing the rightful name and title that he attempted to keep all those years ago.' End Quote. The Hero Killer is currently in critical condition at Tartarus Prison. Has Chaldean actually been harboring villains and mass murders this entire time? More on this topic to come."

"Chaldea has been spreading rumors of the interference of three UA students coming in too butt in on the case of the hero killer. While not saying any names, Chaldea has spoken for the first time in the wake of their leave, saying that the students should have listened to Izo, the man still under investigation for his comments, and left the scene. Reports show that the students got caught up in the battle between the two proclaimed swordsmen, the Shinsengumi Hero Hajime attempted to herd them off before he too was thrown into the fray. The Grim Reaper had not been on the scene, having left to deal with the three Nomu's running amok in Hosu at the same time. Conflicting statements have been made by the Hosu police department, but Chaldea, as blunt and crass as they have been seen to be, have never once shied away from the bloody truth...so who do we believe?"

"The Grim Reaper, or Utsumi Erice, has refused to comment on the suspicion that Chaldea is molding children into child soldiers. But she made quite a scene when someone said that they were in the wrong for stopping the people who went into the Indian and Russian Agencies. Erice, who has been known for her endless and saint-like patience went off on the civilians, calling them uneducated and unaware of the troubles Chaldea has faced in the past. She was stopped by Hajime, one of the famed Shinsengumi Trio members, who told off the civilian for not understanding of heroic politics. And it does bring up a topic...what do civilians know of the hero world?"

"Mass protests have been occurring over the last week since the Chaldean exodus, with many protesting against the treatment of the Chaldeans and calling the latest inquiry into them unfair! People have decided to make a stand, creating a website amongst themselves to give out testimony as to how the Chaldeans helped them in ways other heroes wouldn't have. They have banded together in a world wide effort to create a site where people share their own stories. Link is on our official website."

"Reports of the alleged sexual assault and misconduct of Chaldean heroes have all proven to be false as records of planning on how to create such believable allegations have been uncovered! The heroes accused of such actions are in fact married and have adopted children of their own, having no interest in other men, women or however any one would identify them as outside of their own partners! Mass exams have proven the innocence of the Chaldean and the guilt of the accusers. Not even into the second week yet and the Chaldean Exodus is already proving to be something that has seriously changed the world."

"The refugees here of Haiti are filing official complaints with the UN and Commission, saying that the pull back of Chaldean aid has devastated their community and made them take a leap back. Many children are running out of food that the Chaldeans managed to scrounge last minute before they were forced, yes forced, out of these refugee camps they made for the survivors of the hurricane not even a week before the sudden call from their director. Many parents, especially, are worried how they will make it through this tough time as most medical aid and relief came from Chaldea. Rescue and Relief heroes are attempting to get resources and supplies, but they are falling short of the amount Chaldea was able to provide. Sources say that Chaldea grows and makes everything in house and does not rely on third parties to provide. Which has validated many hero experts in saying that Chaldea was the epitome of a heroic agency."

"There is growing concern of the mass disappearances in the rural areas of most countries, many of which had not reported crimes due to the lack of hero activity. Chaldea was known to patrol those areas and have been a staple there for months, preventing these types of things from happening. Many fear that the truly shady underbelly of the underworld is rearing its head now that Chaldea is no longer patrolling the less walked streets of heroes. Drug smuggling is up about 50%, the air and water no longer being tightly controlled and monitored anymore by the seemingly sleepless crews. Many people worry how this will affect the large number of at-risk children all over the world."

"Many internet sleuths have begun to try and contact Chaldea, whose servers have officially been down for 2 weeks now. There is growing concern over the refugees in Haiti, the medical facilities that Chaldea operated that were making breakthrough medical advances in Cancer, Alzheimer's, COPD and many other debilitating diseases without the need for quirks. Without them most funding has dried up fully or slowed to a drip and progress has slowed to an all time low like before Chaldea showed up. Could this be a sign of the good Chaldea has been doing in the limelight, but ignored by the masses to be blinded by propaganda of Anti-Chaldeaist?"

Many are calling for his death as his crimes are too numerous and would result in several life sentences in Tartarus jail. As many know, the death penalty has been outlawed for many years and people have become desperate for the aid of Chaldea to dispose of the man...which….which is horrible...they aren't contracted killer or executioners! "I-Expo will be setting off in a week and many people are anticipating the return of the Chaldeans. It is expected that the Director, Fujimaru Ritsuka, and his personal guides will be attending the event with a mass of others in a show of faith. Many heroes have scrambled to get tickets to the exclusive event in order to speak to the Chaldeans in hope for their aid in many operations that have proved to indeed be too dangerous for them. Heroic experts originally on Chaldeans side have not proven optimistic, as the heroes of the facility including their director are shown to be notoriously stubborn. This marks the end of the third week of the Chaldean Exodus and over 40 children ages 5-15 from all over the world have been reported to have been snatched from their towns. We can only hope that they change their minds."

"Fuck."
'Director?"
"We fucked up."
It was silent in the room.
"This is fucking ridiculous," Miruko gasped as she looked at all the cases Chaldea had been handling. "This is just in my area!?"
"Yeah," one of the other heroes who had an agency in her area nodded as he grabbed a file. "It's so deep underground even underground heroes have a hard time getting this type of info."
"And all of these are just the ones that we can handle," she scoffed, jumping onto her couch as she thumbed through the various files.
"Yeah, the others ones are too dangerous or haven't had enough information gathered about them to be able to go forward with an investigation...on our end at least," he admitted, grabbing a stack and moving it to the side table where he sat. "Chaldea had the benefit of not being chained to the rules of the commission as tightly as we are and could pursue most of this without too much fanfare."
"And they where required to figure out one case of these a week," she marveled, looking at the detailed files in awe.
'Not only that. But it was one hero per case. Only on rare occasions did they actually work in pairs of two or three," he explained, biting his lip at the large amount of files they would have to get through. "Commission is spreading the cases out amongst day and underground heroes, they want 6 cases solved by the end of the month."
"SIX," Miruko roared, jumping up from her spot on the couch to glare at the hero who raised his hands up in defense. "How the hell are we supposed to finish six of these a month!"
"Not my idea," he protested. "They didn't think that Chaldea was handling this many cases and had this much evidence on so many of them to pursue an investigation on!"
"What about the countries outside of Japan they where in?"
"They are having the same problem. Chaldea was doing a lot of investigations under the tab le as to not draw too much attention to them in hopes of ending them quickly. From what i've heard in India, which was around 47% before Chaldea came, they managed to get it down to a whopping 12%."
"And now," Miruko asked.
"It shot back up 500% in the last three days. Chaldea fully left and the heroes weren't able to stop all the people that began to wreck havoc in the streets."
"Shit," Miruko sighed, pacing around as she looked at the stacks of files that where invading the pseudo office she was in. "How long do you think this is going to take?"
"Chaldea had a certain...way I guess," the hero began, leaning back in his chair. "Of getting confessions out of people with ease. Without them I suspect it might take a bit longer than usual to get it out of people."
'Fuck…"
"I heard rumors that some of the heroes have tried to push off these cases because it't not going to get them recognition, and that the public has turned against them. Water Hose, Ingenium, Kamui Woods and other heroes Chaldea got along with have been taking as much up as they could. They feel it's there responsibility to take over what Chaldea was forced to leave behind."
"Water Hose I get, but those other two? Since when did they have such a buddy buddy relationship."
"Well...I heard a rumor that Ingenium is still a hero because Izo got in the way of Stain when he was about to stab him in the spine, so he feels like he owes them," he shrugged, looking at the file in his hand with a bored look. "We're so screwed."
'Your telling me," Miruko grunted, moving to grab something from the mini fridge. "How are the other heroes handling the new workload? You know anything?"
"Nighteye is ready to tear his hair out and murder someone. Endeavor is about to burn down his whole building because the high priority cases need to be figured out in 2 weeks; there is over 20 of them. Hawks has about 4 different recon missions he needs to do for Endeavor and his high priority cases. The Heroes of UA have been called into duty more often and are stated to have been falling asleep in class because the stress is becoming too much already...it hasn't even been a full 2 weeks yet."
"What about the older interns? I heard that they got some cases slapped onto them."
"You see what you have. Heroes with interns have been swamped with cases that Chaldea has been doing," he tossed the one he was reading to the side and moved to cover his eyes with his arm. "The older years have been given time off after the internship of rest and get ready for school when it comes back up."
"That bad…"
"The commissions already has a backlog of all cases Chaldea had been handling and not to mention the villain fights that happen everyday...we don't have enough heroes."
"They knew what they where doing."
"Oh for sure," he nodded. "And they wanted to teach a lesson."
"I guess we deserve it…"
"Hmmm."
U.A
Izuku could only sigh as he scrolled through multiple forums of the multiple problems popping up that Chaldea had been overseeing before their exodus.
"Brother owes his life to Izo and the other two," Tenya admitted to them in the hospital after Tensei heard about what they did. He chewed Tenya out so hard, calling his brother idiot, stupid and all other things that an older brother calls a misbehaving brother. More importantly he defended them all heartily. "He was nearly killed by the Hero Killer before they intervened and held him off...maybe they aren't so bad...I was wrong..."
Izuku could understand him...but it was getting out of hand.
Not just out in the world, but in UA as well.
Class A-1 and B-1 were completely divided, more so than usual and of course it was because of their former teacher.
B-1 was Fujimaru's favorite class of all hero classes after all, and he made no effort to hide it all. And they made no effort to not show it off, even after he'd been gone.
And they liked to flaunt it in A-1's face all time, along with their homeroom teacher who despised Fujimaru-sensei.
In fact, most of the teachers really didn't like Fujimaru Sensei.
A-1 didn't even get to touch the artifacts, because Aizawa pulled them out of Fujimaru's class so early on and they missed so much they weren't deemed responsible enough and they were the only class to stay within the classroom on his last day. He said nothing to them, they had had barely finished projects that where about 5 to 8 pages thick compared to other classes who looked like they made a dissertation. Count had collected them in silence when he would usually snark at a student or two. It was silent as he regarded the one class that was kept away from him the most with an impassive face before he sighed.
And left the room.
They did not get a word of goodbye from him at all, no pat on the shoulder, no smile or hug like all the other classes. No group photo to be sent to each and every single one of them, dressed in older armor surrounded by Chaldean heroes they wouldn't see for a long time.
They didn't get that experience.
They got a disappointed sigh and the rest of the class had a free period as he left the Campus as they were his last class...Mina and the other girls with Kaminari and Kirishima called out to him from the windows as they saw him walk away with Count.
He had stopped, hearing them for sure. The girls smiled happily when his head moved to turn and gaze upon them one last time before it stopped not even being able to see them before he straightened himself and left without even looking at them.
He didn't look at them despite their calls.
It shouldn't have stung as much as it did...but it seriously hurt them all.
Fujimaru sensei was strange, very strange in the end. He got along with some teachers, but Izuku could tell it was on a superficial level. He was only nice for the sake of being nice, he didn't care about the feelings of the teachers. He lied about being the vice director to get closer to the younger generations? No, that's a lie too. He wanted something from them, he wanted to see something from them and he got it from everyone but class A-1.
Izuku thumbed his phone, switching to his notes app to look at all the files he compiled of the man who seemingly changed the world.
He was quirkless, he showed his medical records to the whole world...then...what was that at the USJ? Lightning, Frost, such skill in weaponry and fights.
He admitted he wasn't a hero but he fought like one of his own heroes.
Izuku could still remember Gran Torino murmuring about Chaldean heroes butting in on things that weren't their problem and concluded he had some sort of conflict with them, as did most heroes around the world.
The Stain incident was fresh in his mind too.
Izo was scary, his infatuation with dealing with the Hero Killer by himself still scared Izuku more than the 3 Nomu's tearing up Hosu did. Todoroki, Iida and him didn't even have a chance to help as Erice and Hajime basically fought the things by themselves, managing not only to wound them, but make sure the wounds stuck and didn't heal either.
They were superhuman...or inhuman.
Shaking his head, he looked through his files and could only feel frustration at the enigma that was Director Fujimaru, a man who hid behind his own people who hid behind walls of shadows and mystery.
He never allowed anyone to see the true him.
"It's all there, the answer you know," Fujimaru would always say whenever anyone would ask him about himself or his heroes. "It's right in front of you, but it's so obvious that people don't want to believe it."
"Oh," a voice that Izuku had become familiar with snatched his phone. "The hell you are looking at Chaldea for. Fujimaru sensei told me about you," Monoma sneered. "How you rejected every teaching he tried to teach you!"
"He was nothing more than a bully!" Izuku found himself saying. "You have no idea what he did to use during the beginning of the schoolyear!"
"No he wasn't! He was a good man...you didn't even bother to understand him! Ever heard of tough love," he demanded, tossing the phone back into Izuku as his friends backed him up.
"We have, but Fujimaru sensei just likes to abuse his power," Ocahko snapped. "He was just a bitter man!"
"Abuse his...you didn't even know him! You hated his very class!"
"No we didn't! We just didn't have time to-"
"Hey...you guys," Itsuka began, hand on Monoma's shoulder as she pushed him back. "Is it true?"
"What," Ochako asked defensively.
"Huh," Monomas asked, looking at a tense Itsuka.
"Teams for the Chaldean Fest Dead Heat were announced today," Itsuka began, Monoma gasping as he scrambled for his phone. "I see some names I would rather not...but then again maybe I do."
"Are you kidding me," Monoma yelled, whipping around to glare at the A1 members who in turn looked at their phones to see the announcement made.

2nd Team: Izuku Midoriya, Ochako Uraraka, Tenya Iida, Shoto Todoroki, Tsuyu Asui, Yuuga Ayoama
3rd Team: Katsuki Bakugou, Eijirou Kirishima, Denki Kaminari, Sero Hanta, Mina Ashido, Mashiro Ojirou

6th Team: Mei Hatsume, Inasa Yoarashi, Seiji Shishikura, Hyuga Shimakura, Akyaka Ai, Akira Kurosu
"Are you shitting me," Monoma snarled. "What the hell! You don't like Fujimaru Sensei but you decide to go to his Agencies sponsored event! What bull is that!"
"They announced riders too, along with team names." Itsuka added as well.
1st Team Rider: Hitoshi Shinso & Tyrannical Shooting Star
2nd Team Rider: Izuku Midoriya & Electric Steam ft. Papa
3rd Team Rider: Katsuki Bakugou & Prefect of Public Decency and Monk Sanzang
4th Team Rider: Mirio Togata & Killer Demon of the Xth Heaven
5th Team Rider: Yo Shindo & Satisfaction H.:.T.:.E
6th Team Rider: Inasa Yoarashi & Desert Beauty
"Well I will take great pleasure in forcing you all to lose. After all, interference and sabotage is a requirement in winning," Monoma smiled. "I am sure to have a fun time with the two...A-1 groups."
"This is going to be great," Itsuka grinned. "I better tell Hitoshi!"
"See you at Chaldean Fest," Monoma sniffed. "The rest of what I have to say...I'll express it through the race," he smirked, walking away as the students began to whisper at the reveal of the race participants. "Enjoy I-Island, because after that...it's all about us!"
Class A-1 couldn't help but feel as if it was aimed at them in the end...and that it was true.
"It's going to be a rough rest of the year," Kirishima sighed as he walked up to the table. "Especially since support is now revolting against the school."
"Huh," the group asked.
"Fujimaru sensei prepared and provided them with high quality materials and a forging area to get custom parts all at only 5000 yen a month," he explained. "Now that there gone they have only 2 tries to get their equipment right due to budget cuts...or so they where complaining about. They where pretty upset."
"But that's no reason to stop coming to class," Momo huffed as she walked up with her tray in hand. "All of support have stopped coming to classes unless they are given the forge back, which Chaldea has given UA, but UA does not want the extra cost of the forge."
"Things are just getting really tense and complicated right now," Kirishima gave a tense smile as he rubbed the back of his head. "I was with Tetsu Tetsu for the internship and he was a really hardcore fan of Fujimaru sensei and got into a few scuffles with heroes during our patrols."
"Speaking of I heard the patrols recently that hero students went on where about double the amount from last time," Ochako mentioned, thinking back to what her mentor said.
"It's to be expected," Setsuna's voice broke through the groups bubble as she approached with an annoyed look. "The fear of Chaldeas Heroes sent a alot of Villains back because they now realize who top dog is."
"The heroes are just as effect now as they where before chaldea came into the picture," Izuku protested before her glare stopped him.
'Heroes are limited to how much damage they can inflict on a villain with the green light from the commissions," she scoffed, flicking her hair back before crossing her arms. "Water Hose was given the green light to hurt Muscular after he had killed around 9 people either from directly flinging them into a building or having the wreckage from his rampage come falling down on them."
"Speaking of water hose," Yui came up with her phone in hand. "The commission is getting a lot of flack right now because they thought it'd be a good idea to say that the whole reason that Chaldea was forced to leave was becaue what Enma and Shiki did was the last straw."
"Water hose could have been killed though," Momo gasped. "Their child!"
"Yeah...so...they must be really upset that they don't have martyrs to use for heroism," yui smirked as Setsuna shook her head.
"They would never do that-"
"Oh after all the lessons we've had I'm sure you already know that that is exactly what they'd do," Setsuna looked pissed as Kousei came forward.
"Hey, no need to get all twisted up," he shushed her. "Fujimaru sensei taught us," he pointed to the three of them and ignored A1. "Enough to survive the real world and know how to use people to our advantage!"
"No on, especially a hero, should do such a thing," Tenya boomed as he shot up. "We are supposed to be examples to the people of the world-"
"When will you learn," Kousei sighed, stopping Idia in his tracks. "That the world isn't kind. Not even to heroes or hero hopefuls like us."
"Class is about to start and I'd rather not have a lecture of being late ontop of the lecture about our Final Exams," Setsuna began, already leaving as Yui shrugged.
"We passed them, not our problem they didn't like how we did it," she giggled.
Just then the bell rang, leaving all of UA in the cafeteria head out to class, A1 unsure of what the rest of the day would offer them.
Izuku looked like the newest student of A-1 as they assembled for the last few days of class following their rather...explosive final exams.
Hitoshi Shinso. Quirk: Brainwashing. Recommended Student of Fujimaru Ritsuka during the first week of school, just transferred out of Gen Ed to the Hero Course.
His eyes flicked down to a familiar symbol and could only swallow as he saw it.
Two diamonds interlaced with one another, with one being broken at the bottom, the same one Fujimaru Sensei wore on his neck all the time.
Chaldea's Symbol.
Something given to all the first year classes, even A1, but Aizawa had confiscated them before they could even pick one up.
Everyone in the school knew that Hitoshi Shinso was the favorite of Fujimaru, for some reason even the boy himself didn't know. He didn't get any more special treatment from Fujimaru than most aside from the man pushing for him to take Mineta's empty spot, even striking a deal with Nezu before he left.
Which results in now-
"I can feel you staring. What do you want," the brainwasher asked as he turned the page of a history book most of Fujimaru students were given. The Golden Age of Heroics, was the title.
Support got the same, along with one named
The Art of Forging: How to Safely Utilize a Forge and Craft Items from a Design.
Made specifically for the students of UA, from an old press almost out of business before Fujimaru struck a deal.
They where all hand printed and hand made. Highest quality and engraved with their names on it with a note from Fujimaru Sensei about their project.
There last gift from a beloved teacher.
"I...I was wondering if Kintoki ever trained you. I know that you and him were close," Izuku began as other students quilted down to listen. "You were pretty impressive during the final exam….your hand to hand was pretty….pretty amazing to be honest."
"YEAH," Hanta gasped as he looked at his partner. "You saved my butt out there and my grade," he swallowed. "You really managed to get the jump on Midnight Sensei. Kintoki must have trained you hard!"
"Nah. He's too strong for students and most heroes. He usually just sat around and talked about some of his interests...and his girlfriend who was always teasing him." He shrugged, before turning a page. "I never really trained with Chaldean Heroes aside from the ones who came here for everyone else," he admitted. "Not that special. As for the final exam...you just let your hormones get out of control and-"
"Cut the bullshit. All those heroes seemed to like you and the other hero class so how about you-"
"Well you never got to know them did you," Hitoshi cut Bakugou off with a glare. "Your teacher decided to take you out of a good and fun class with a nice teacher who people couldn't be bothered to understand. Being a hero is about trauma and being a director leading them is about trauma. He's had to make decisions that you have to follow. So be in his shoes for a moment and think!"
"He was an asshole," Bakugou snarled. "Plain and simple!"
Hitoshi was silent in his seat, looking up at Bakugou as his hands curled into fists onto his open book.
"If," he shakily began. "He really was an asshole...then why did he order Ashiya Douman to save your ass that day from the slime villain?"
"...What the fuck did you say?"
"Why would an asshole like Fujimaru sensei tell Ashiya Douman to escape police questioning about his 'suspicious behavior' and go help get you out of that Slime Villain," Hitoshi demanded, standing up to be eye to eye with the explosion user. "He didn't need too, but he still ordered you to be saved when he commented on the situation. He wasn't planning on saving you at all until he pressed for it."
"Fucking shut up."
"Is crude words all you can say," Hitoshi shot back. "It makes you seem more childish than you actually are," he commented with a wry smile. "And it makes the whole class look bad when all you can say is 'shit', 'shut up', 'fuck off', etc, etc," he brushed off. "So much so I think I should sign you up for etiquette lessons."
"Your just lying now," Bakugou called his bluff.
"I wouldn't be saying this for shits and kicks," he scoffed, riolling his eyes as he straightened his cardigan before staring at Bakugou again. "I think you should really do your research before you say shit that will get you in hot water."
"The hell is that supposed to mean?"
"The world of heroics is riddled with politics and i'm not clairvoyant, but I can tell you that those who actually listened to Fujimnaru sensei and didn't skimp out of his work will have the upper hand in this cruel world."
"He was just an ass that liked to show his superiority," Backugou scoffed as he glared at the brainwasher.
"Well your a-" his phone began to ring and the boy hastily grabbed it, answering like many other Chaldean Heroes without looking. "Hello?...Fujimaru-Sensei," he gasped, others as well; as contact with Chaldea has been 0 since the day the trio dealing with the hero killer left.
"Sensei," Denki hissed to Aizawa who was up in a moment when Hitoshi said that name.
"Yes...Yes I am in the hero course," the boy nodded. "Yeah I saw that I made it into the Race!...But I...are you sure?...Okay...I'll see you during Chaldean Fest?...Bye…"
Before he could hang up Aizawa snatched the phone from his hand and spoke
"Fujimaru," he began.
"Aizawa...what a pleasant surprise. A phone snatcher you are just like a little snitch you are. I haven't forgotten about your little look through with my tablet and the leak to the press," Ritsuka hummed. "Be a shame if I told someone about that. Not like it will do anything to us...but your always in hot water because of those little explusions you've done."
"Look, we need to have a face to face meeting and soon-"
"I am afraid until our contract is fulfilled or voided in some way we will remain in Chaldea and off duty. Only roles of public service not related to heroics will we be doing," The man sounded bored as he explained the process to the agitated Aizawa. "And...I'm not in the business of breaking contracts...bad luck."
"The people in the middle east and Haiti are suffering, screw bad luck," he hissed. "You seriously cannot expect us to pick up where you left off!"
"The supplies we left should have given you ample time to delegate and find ways to help them," Ritsuka's voice was calm and his reasoning logical. "If you can't come up with a way then your all incompetent."
He hated the man more in that moment.
"And those cases have more than enough evidence to make an arrest," he hummed. "So those 6 cases solved per month should be easy after all! But of course my people were allowed to use any type of method they needed to smoke them out so long as they weren't hurt too much," Aizawa was vibrating with anger at the smirk he could hear. "And how about you? And your friends?"
"We are not getting into this argument again," he snapped, turning to have his back face his student as Hitoshi grabbed his hand to get his phone back.
"Why not! I kept saying that prioritizing their health and safety was going to get more people hut in the end, but I digress," he hummed. "As for our other efforts...well...there should still be enough if our calculations are correct. Unless you all threw away are calculated measures…"
"We can't keep up with the demand in the end, screw those measures. This is people we are dealing with! We need more help," he growled into the receiver as Hitoshi tried to get the phone back again. "We also need more help on the disappearances!"
"We did warn heroes that the areas we patrolled would be overrun soon with people taking advantage," Ritsuka sighed, sounding tired. "It's not our fault you always ignored such places."
"It's illogical to waste resources to places with a less than 1% crime rate-"
"Oh, even you know that to be bullshit," Ritsuka grunted as Aizawa trailed off. "They never reported it because they were too scared. Not because the area was safe. Like hell it was. That is where the darkest depths of the world festered, unchecked for decades."
"You can't keep this going," he finally settled on. "People need you."
'Funny...not too long ago people were saying they didn't need us...besides," he chuckled. "There are heroes all over the world. Contact them for aid."
"That's what-"
Click.
Shit…
Hitoshi snatched his phone out of his teacher's hand, glowering at him before going to his seat as Aizawa stewed over that conversation.
Shit!
EXEMPLUM CHALDEA
"I still cannot believe you," Sherlock grunted as he and his brother, HIS BROTHER, grabbed some food from the cafeteria. "You managed to hide from me for months and are enjoying this aren't you."
"Calm down Sherlock," Mycroft brushed off as they moved to grab an empty table. "I only did what was needed in the end and it's not like your innocent of not doing the same."
"Still! How are you even a forigner," he demanded, sitting down in his chair like a petulant child.
"I despise legwork," he shrugged, like it answered most of what he was saying...which was true. "Besides, my little...friend, will be invaluable and having a constant supply of mana now will allow me to keep an eye on the less desirable things."
"I hate that Eraser Bastard," their master yelled out as he slammed his phone into the table, grabbing his soba bowl.
The two brothers hummed in understanding.
"He annoys me," Mycroft huffed as he blew out some smoke from his pipe as Sherlock rolled his eyes. He watched his master eating with some of his trusted vessels, murmuring to Mori who was no doubt saying he'd take the erasure heroes head for his master.
"He was persistent," the other commented. "But we're here because the world seemingly no longer needs us."
'This world never needed us Sheryl," Mycroft sighed as he lit his own pipe as his brother growled at the use of his childhood nickname. "You know that as well as I do. This world was fine, heavily flawed and idealistic, but fine."
"Chaldea is used to chaos, they just hid it too well," Sherlock shrugged. "I'm more worried about master...and when the staff come back."
"How so?"
"You haven't been here and I can't claim the same, I joined partway through the first adventure...but bringing them back won't help," he sighed. "Not in the way we are hoping," he admitted, eyeing Orpheus as he was cornered by the children and asked to play a song. He looked so lost in that moment as he whipped his head around for help, though all he received were laughs and yells for some ballads.
He seemingly saw that he was not winning the battle and grabbed a chair, summoning his lyre to the cheers of the children.
"They are a mass group of humans, barring the Shielder girl of course-"
"They lived through everything our master has, though through a lens. They have been cut off from humanity for as long as Fujimaru has and while they didn't go through what he went through...the loss of the Original Chaldea hit them hard...especially since we lost more human staff," Sherlock began, his eyes flicked to Perseus who was currently strung up like how a spider would cocoon it's prey, smiling as he gazed at the three Medusa's who hissed at the man as Stheno and Euryale yelled at him to keep himself out of their stupid younger sisters room.
"Ah…" Mycroft made a noise of understanding. "They are a new breed of humans?"
"Indeed," Sherlock confirmed. "They have lived with all of this and us," he motioned to the area around him as a way to say Heroic Spirits. "For almost a decade...I doubt they understand normal humans anymore." Finally his eyes went to Elaine who was sitting with the other Arthurian Servants, ignoring Lancelot who looked lost as she gave him the cold shoulder, blushing over Jekyll and his stuttering.
Was King Arthur (Female, Original) holding Lancelot's hand back from grabbing his sword? Interesting.
"I agree," Mycroft nodded, drawing Sherlock's attention back to him. "I know master has struggled with understanding his own race for a while now."
"The last time something confused him outside of humans was in the Camelot Lostbelt...even then he was quick to understand the ways of the fae," Sherlock murmured worriedly. "He's becoming more inhuman the longer he stays here."
'Chaldea has its own branch of madness...and it's infected every human that still lives here," Mycroft surmised as Sherlock nodded. "Well it's not too far out of the realm of possibility. In fact I dare say that this level of corruption is lower than expected."
"We never bothered to address it in the end because no one would be going back to their normals lives...in fact it seemed like they wanted nothing more than for things to stay the way they where," the detective pursed his lips as he contemplated the conversation they had before their sudden summoning into the world. "That's what likely stalled their metamorphosis."
"What of master?"
"He was getting better...with his classes he seems to understand human children better than human adults,' Sherlock admitted, staring at his brother's pipe longingly. "I guess it's the natural magic that children tend to have before it vanishes."
"It makes sense, even if he was getting better at understanding humans he still was attracted to magic."
"Aizawa did us all a favor in the end, by severely limiting their time," Sherlock sneered, leaning back and looking up at the ceiling. "A-1 had some of the most human children I have ever laid eyes on and they drove master mad just being near them. In the end it benefitted us and him more than the class."
"And what are you two talking about," Longinus asked as he approached, smiling as Erice and Voyager said they would get a table for the three of them.
'Nothing my friend," Mycroft smiled. "Just mulling over some things about mummy is all."
"I'm still her favorite."
"Oh, like hell you are."
"I'm leaving," the lancer brushed off as they began to get into a verbal spat about their mother. "Have fun."
The brothers watched as he left, the two keeping their eyes one him before they turned back to each other.
"Do you have any idea as to why we were brought here? To this world?"
'No...unfortunately I don't and my...little friend," Mycroft coughed. "Has no idea either."
"Rouge servants?"
"The ones going up against us have no loyalty to All for One, that's for sure," his brother rolled his eyes. "Alter Ego has a bone to pick with a few people here, along with the Foreigner they have. With us I might inform you, Moriarty as well," Mycroft could see those gears turning. "Caster has their eyes on master and well...the other three they are wild cards for sure. They have their own interests...but I don't know what they are. As for the second group that has been staying at Nabu Island for the time...well they have a good head on their shoulders and have spoken of making contracts as soon as possible. I believe they might be coming over later. The Moon Cell Duo...well master is holding those two particular cards close to his chest."
"Great," Sherlock bit down a curse before he grabbed his syringe.
"I would rather if you didn't," Mycroft hissed as he grabbed his brother's hand with his tailcoat. "I despise what you do to your body, back then and now."
"I can't help it," Sherlock rolled his eyes. "This mystery is a conundrum even for me!"
"I understand that. But getting high off your ass is not going to be helping anyone Sheryl!"
'Stop calling me that!"
"Stop acting like a child then,' Mycroft shot back as he released his hold to his younger brother. "Now...have you considered the possibility of the Alien God?"
"He's gone..dead."
"Sherlock-"
"I saw Master strike down his core years ago. I was in the command room with Da Vinci and Goredolf confirming his origin had vanished," Sherlock hissed. "They are dead! Just like Beryl Gut is dead, Daybit Sem Void is forced to wander the reverse side of the world"
"Sherlock, this is gods and magic we are talking about. Modern technology can only detect and emulate it so much."
"It's not possible. Its impossible. My own eye...they never lie to me."
"It's not Sherlock? It's not?"
They remained silent as their master laughed at something, it was a conversation for another day.
