A/N: I know I keep saying this, but once again, big thanks to BitterSweetTeller for helping me out.
Back in Mailbu, Tony, Kim, and James were working on a jet leg mounted boot. Ron liked to watch rather than actually put together nuts and bolts. All four of them though were hoping to give Tony the power of flight for his Mark II suit. Ron in spirit, of course.
"Looking good here." James said. This was before turning to Dum E. "Up please." The robotic arm of Dum E then aimed the magnifying glass on the boot. Tony sighed in frustration.
"Not in the boot, Dum E. Right here. You got me?" Tony asked. Dum E then did what Tony asked. "Stay put. Good. Good." He was starting to smile.
Then, Dum E moved wrong again. Tony sighed in frustration. He was looking down some. He was also shaking his head some. "You're of no benefit at all. Move down to the toe! We got this." Tony muttered. Dum E whirred sadly. "Okay, I'm sorry! Are we in your way?" Dum E, Kim, Tony, and James then worked on the leg's mechanics some more. Kim and James were doing most of the wiring and physical adjustments. Tony just mostly stood still for the ongoing fitting while throwing in more genius suggestions their way. Dum E almost knocked over some papers.
"You are a tragedy." Tony muttered. Dum E whirled sadly.
"Now Mr. Stark. Just because he's a robot doesn't mean you should be mean to him." James tried to tell him. He faintly smiled as he does. Tony annoyedly glared some. He was about to say something. But, Kim said something first.
"Dad?" Kim started to say.
"What?" James asked. He sounded somewhat confused. Kim whispered something to him. "Ohh. So...Then he's always like that?"
"Pretty much. Kind of like Ron when you think about..." Kim was saying. She sounded completely unphased too. James chuckled some at that.
"What about me like I'm not the important person now standing here?" Tony asked suspiciously.
"Okay! I think we're ready for a test run." Kim was cheerfully saying. She was blatantly moving on from Tony's question. Kim also had clasped her hands together. Ron and Rufus chuckle some to themselves in a knowing way. "Right dad?"
James just smiled and nodded. Tony annoyedly rolled his eyes some at Kim. But...he didn't say anything.
A few minutes later, Tony was wearing the jet boots. Ron was filming with a handheld camera. James, Kim, Jim and Tim stood by and watched.
"Okay. Let's do this right." Tony said. He was moving to the center before laying out more of the test plan. "Start mark, half a meter, and back and center. Tweebs, look alive. You're both on standby for fire safety. Ron, roll it!"
"Okay! We're rolling!" Ron shouted cheerfully. This was making Kim giggle.
"Okay. Good." Kim added.
"Okay. Activate hand controls." Tony said. Tony did just that as the jets started to power up. "We're gonna start nice and easy. We're gonna see if 10% thrust capacity achieves lift. James? You get the honor of counting it down."
"Great! Rockets are go in three, two...one!" James called out cheerfully.
Tony activated the jet boosters. But... It was too much.
He slammed into a wall, causing everyone to wince.
"Ooh. Or...not." Kim and Ron winced. Jim and Tim used the fire extinguisher to spray Tony.
"Well...I think I have an idea on what might work." James smiled.
Everyone went back to the drawing board. James ordered a flight stabilizer from the Middleton Space Center. They hoped it would give Tony more flight power and less thrust.
Some hours later, the flight stabilizer arrived. James put it on himself as part of a demonstration. He showed Jim, Tim, Kim, Ron, and Tony how they worked. That was when Pepper and Ann came downstairs.
"Hey! We've been buzzing you? Anyone heard the intercom?" Pepper somewhat casually asked.
"Yeah. Everything's...what?" Tony asked. Kim and Ron looked amused. But, they didn't say anything.
"Boys? Kimmie? Tony? Ron? Dinner is ready." Ann informed them. "You too, James."
"Okay honey, we're hungry." James smiled.
"And Obadiah's upstairs. He also wants to see Kim and Ron." Pepper informed.
"Great! We'll be right there." Tony smiled. James removed his arm with the flight stabilizer still on him.
"I thought you said you were done making weapons." Pepper brought up in confusion. She just saw the flight stabilizer.
"Oh, this? This is a flight stabilizer." James explained.
"Honey? Are you sure about that? You know how the boys like to build their own rockets," Ann brought up. James and Tony laugh some over that last part.
"Oh, don't worry. It's from the space center. It's completely harmless." James tried to assure. He was smiling.
He fired up the stabilizer again. But...he accidentally pressed the wrong directional button. This caused him to go backward...crashing onto the floor.
"Awesome!" Jim and Tim smiled.
"Well...I...I didn't expect that." James realized. He groaned hard some. Ann went over to check if he's okay. But James assured her he wasn't injured.
After dinner, Tony, Kim, and Ron cleaned up and washed their hands. They were the last ones to finish dinner. They met Pepper and Obadiah upstairs. Obadiah was playing the piano with a sour look on his face. Kim looked a little weirded out by that. But Kim and Ron then saw the pizza box. They both smiled.
"Oh, great! Pizza!" Ron smiled. He and Rufus practically attacked the pizza. Rufus made excited noises. "And it's from New York!" Kim giggled some.
"How'd it go?" Tony asked. But Stane just continued to play on the piano. "Wow. That bad, huh?"
"Oh, come on Tony. Just because he brought pizza from New York doesn't mean it went bad." Kim smiled.
"Uh, Kim...if it went great? He could have brought in pizza from Italy or France." Ron pointed out. Then...he and Rufus went right back to eating pizza. It was almost as though they never stopped.
"Well, it would have gone better if Tony was there." Stane pointed out. That's when he stopped playing.
"Ouch." Kim winced some.
"Uh uh. You told me to lay low. That's what I been doing." Tony stated his case. He crossed his arms on the last part. But there were hints of confusion in his eyes.
"Wait. What do you mean by that?" Kim asked.
"What are we? In school now?" Tony commented back. Kim just gave him a tired look. Pepper smirked a little toward Tony.
"Well..." Pepper started to stifled a giggle with her mouth. She sat down by Pepper.
"No. Absolutely not." Tony coldly insisted. Pepper annoyedly rolled her eyes at him. "I lay low, and Stane takes care of all..." That was before Stane cut him off.
"Hey. Come on." Stane said. He sounded annoyed as he approached them. "In public. The press. This was a board of director meeting."
"This was a board of directors meeting?" Tony asked, confused. Pepper had a "honestly, why do I bother?" look on her face.
"So what's the sitch?" Kim asked.
"The board is claiming that Tony had post traumatic stress. They're filing an injunction." Stane explained.
"Well...he's not the only one." Kim was in the midst of saying. She was very nervous as she did. Stane looked uncomfortable. He nervously sighed some. But...he kind of quickly looked straight faced. Pepper only knew Kim a little. She didn't know what to say that might help. Kim and Pepper looked solemnly at each other.
"That's not what I meant, Kim." Stane quickly said.
Before Kim could respond though, Tony asked something.
"Wait: A what?!" Tony asked in shock.
"They wanna lock you out." Stane said.
"Why? Cause the stocks dipped forty points? We all knew that was gonna happen." Tony casually explained. This was much to Kim and Ron's confusion. Ron was only paying more attention when he heard about the stocks dipping. In light of the recent news here? Kim brushed aside what she would respond to Stane's comment to her.
"Fifty six and a half." Pepper corrected.
"Umm... Do we even have to be here? Me and Ron? I mean..." Kim was asking.
"Yes. You're staying." Tony insisted. Kim and Ron gulped nervously. "And, it doesn't matter." Tony was defending his case. "We all own the controlling interest of the company." He turned to Pepper. Pepper looked uncomfortable then. She had a feeling where this was headed.
"Tony, the board has rights too. They're making the case that you, and your new direction, isn't in the company's best interest." Stane pointed out.
"Hey! Tony's being responsible now, and that counts for a lot!" Kim defended.
She slightly glared at Stane.
"She's right. That's a new direction for me, for the company." Tony said. Everyone looked confused at him. "I mean, me on the company's behalf being responsible for the way that..."
"Man, this pizza's great." Ron smiled. His and Rufus's stomach's were full. Kim annoyedly rolled her eyes to herself.
"We'll be in the shop." Tony said. He took Stane's left untouched pizza box on the piano. The other pizza box was empty already. Tony prepared to go back downstairs with Kim and Ron. Kim just sighed with mixed relief to herself. She knew the turmoil in Stark Industries was far from over.
"Tony, listen." Stane said. He was gaining his attention. "I'm trying to turn this thing around, but you gotta give me something. Something to pitch them." Tony casually smiled. He faintly laughed.
"Yeah. That will be fun. I'm starting to miss high school now." Tony sarcastically said. Kim, Rufus, and Ron couldn't help but laugh some at the last part. Stane annoyedly rolled his eyes. Pepper annoyedly sighed into her hand.
"Tony, Kim...why don't you and Ron come by my office and pitch up some cool advertising efforts, while I have the engineers analyze his chest piece? You know, draw up some specs. Kim, Ron...college recommendations are well sought after. It could more than make your day. It'll also throw a bone to the boys in New York!" Stane enthusiastically made his pitch.
"No! Absolutely not! This one, and Team Possible are staying with me." Tony defensively said.
"Tempting for me with college recomends. But...sorry. We're not for sale." Kim smirked.
"But, Kim..." Ron started to say. Kim gave him a warning glare. "What? Just wanted to ask how much the job pays."
Kim kept warningly glaring at him. She put her hands on her hips and arms out some as she did. Ron gulped very nervously. Tony and Pepper looked nervous then.
Stane had a slightly amused smile. But, no one else seemed to notice that.
"Ron! Wade makes our tech anyway, and he wouldn't make weapons for anyone. Now, come on! We got a schedule to keep." Kim somewhat lightly pointed out. Pepper and Tony looked relieved. Stane's smiled faded. Kim started to drag Ron along by the hand.
"You have laser lipstick and grappling hooks. How is that not...?" Stane cuttingly remarked.
Kim warningly glared at him. Kim is thinking back to the three months her and Tony were kidnapped by the Ten Rings. And...she started to get close to tears.
"Don't. Start with me now." Kim warned tensely. She took up a defensive position with her arms up. Stane gulped very nervously. He heavily sighed. Then he let his arms down. He was a little teary eyed.
Kim let her arms down too. She turned her back on Stane. But Kim just somberly sighed to herself.
Ron and Pepper were too shook to say anything. They were both teary eyed. Tony heavily sighed with some relief. He was teary eyed too.
"Fine! Fine. Then the pizza stays with me." Stane said. He grabbed the box from Tony.
But...not before Kim, Ron, and Tony grabbed two slices each. Kim was already fast walking ahead downstairs.
"Kim?!" Ron asked in concern. But Kim was already downstairs. There was a loud door slam downstairs too. Ron and Rufus moderately sighed to themselves.
"You mind if I come down there quick and see what you're all doing? I...I wouldn't want you both to just disappear and..." Stane offered.
"Thanks. But, we got this. Good night, Obie." Tony smirked. He and Ron headed downstairs.
Back in Tony's workshop, Kim sat at a desk, sighing heavily as Ron and Rufus approached her. Ron gulped, clearly fearful of his best friend's rage, but he knew that Kim was still hurting over what happened during those three months in captivity. He slowly approached her. "Kim, I get it. I mean, we're lucky to have Wade. And I'm against warfare and weapons too. But the offer Stane told us about? I mean, it's not like the time I blew all of my Naco Royalties." He chuckled at the memory he became rich, but then lost it all. But the moment Kim glared at him, Ron immediately stopped.
"Ron, I appreciate you trying to make me feel better, but..." Kim said with a frown and sigh. "We don't know who to trust, except our families, Wade, and Tony. I mean, I don't really see that much good in Stane. He looks kind of shifty." She then sighed again, knowing that Ron was usually the paranoid one. "Look, I know it seems farfetched, and he is charming..."
"KP, it's all good." Ron reassured with a smile. "I mean, I forgave you for not believing me about Gil. So don't think I won't believe you." Kim smiled as the two shared a hug. But in the deep recesses of Ron's mind, he wanted to explain his theory of Drakken being the one behind the attack and kidnapping of Tony and Kim to her, but he pushed it back, deciding it still wasn't the right time.
"Thanks Ron." Kim smiled. "Come on. Let's get back to work." Ron smiled and nodded as he joined Kim and Tony as they tried to burn the midnight candle on both ends.
The next day, Kim and Ann were going over more schematics for the Mark II project. "What do you think, mom?" Kim asked, to which Ann just chuckled.
"Kimmie, I'm just the brain surgeon." Ann smirked. "Your father, Tony, Ron, your brothers, Wade, and you? You're the geniuses for this project. I'm just hear to analyze medical data."
Kim laughed. "You're right. It's fine either way." she smiled before kissing her mother on the cheek. The two got back to work. As Kim went over more blueprints, she then spotted something familiar on the lower shelf. Curious, she reached down and pulled up the original Mark I Arc Reactor. The piece alone brought both tears and a smile to Kim's face. For without this piece, she and Tony would never be free. She quietly chuckled to herself before her mother approached her.
"What you got there, honey?" Ann asked.
"The OG Arc Reactor." Kim smiled. Ann's eyes went wide as she remembered her and Pepper swapping that chest piece for Tony's newer one.
"Say, I thought Miss Potts destroyed that." Ann said. Kim then smirked at that.
"Well, I'm glad she didn't." Kim said with a grin. "After all, this is a treasure. Just like Nana. Impossible to get rid of." Ann smiled at Kim's sweet comment. "After all, if it wasn't for this...I wouldn't..." Kim's eyes got a little teary, but she collected herself.
"So, you gonna keep it for yourself?" Ann asked with a smile.
Kim smiled and shook her head. "I got a better idea."
Several days later, Stane has kept his distance from Kim for days. Even Tony thought that might be for the best. On the lighter side? Things with Kim and Ron seemed to have calmed down.
Tony had the flight stabilizers on. He was ready to do another test run with Ron filming and Kim, James, Jim, and Tim standing by.
"Day 11, test 37, configuration 2.0. For lack of a better option, Jim and Tim are still on fire safety." Tony said. Jim and Tim looked nervous. "If you both douse me again, and I'm not on fire, I'm gonna recommend to your father to donate you both to an foster home." Kim giggled at that.
"Now, now...easy, Tony. They're only ten." James smiled.
"Good. Being serious now? Just gonna start off with 1% thrust capacity." Tony said.
"All right. And...three...two...one." James counted down.
"Three...two...one." Tony couldn't help but count down himself. He was self indulging.
He then activated the flight stabilizers. They were allowing him to fly all over the space. Just a few feet off the ground. But, still.
"Hick a bick a boo! Hoo sha!" Jim and Tim happily said. They were also running around in circles with the fire extinguisher.
"It's working!" Kim smiled. Ron was smiling too.
Then Tony touched back down.
"Please! Please don't follow me around with the fire extinguisher. I feel like I'm gonna catch on fire spontaneously." Tony said to Jim and Tim. "Just...just stand down! If something happens, then come in. Got it, honorary partners?" He pointed over to Jim and Tim on the last part.
Jim and Tim smiled wide. They quickly nodded.
"Yeah." Jim said.
"We got it, Tony Stark." Tim said.
"That's better." Tony said. He smiled.
"You're doing great Tony. You wanna take it up further?" Kim asked with a smile.
"Good call, Kim. Let's bring up to 2.5." Tony ordered.
"In three, two...one." James and Tony counted down.
Then...Tony began to lift off even higher. He began to fly all around the workshop.
"Boo-yah!" Ron cheered.
"Boo-yah is right." Kim added. Kim, Ron, James, Jim, and Tim continued to smile.
Then Tony was approaching his sports cars. He suddenly got nervous.
"Okay. This is where I don't wanna be." Tony somewhat lightly regretted to himself as he flew over his sports cars. "Not the car! Not the car!"
"Easy Mr. Stark! Baby steps, remember." James lightly chuckled as Tony approached the tables. He then used the hand flight stabilizers to catch himself from falling. Papers flew everywhere, and out of the corner of his eye, Ron saw a blueprint of a special battle suit, and clearly it was not like the armor they were wearing. It was for someone else. Ron smirked to himself as Tony continued to fly.
"Hey, you're doing good! You're not crashing! It's fine." Kim lightly called out.
"Yeah, could be worse! Could be worse! We're fine." Tony called out as he flew back to the starting mark and touched back down. He sighed with relief as James, Kim, Jim, Tim, and Ron all smiled, happy that their test had gone successful.
"Remarkable! The flight stabilizers performed better than I expected." James smiled. "Still needs some tweaking, but we might be good to go with the suit soon."
"Hicka bicka boo?" Jim asked.
"Hoo sha!" Tim smiled, high fiving his twin.
"Boo yah for us!" Ron smirked
"Spanking! You agree, Tony?" Kim smiled.
"Yeah, I can fly." Tony said as they went back to working on the suit.
A few days later, Kim was in her bedroom, wrapping a box with gift wrap. She then wrote: 'To my hero and friend. Love, Kim'. The teen hero smiled to herself before her hearing was almost damaged by the sound of soccer horns piercing her ear drums. She then saw Jim and Tim laughing loudly, holding the soccer horns. "TWEEBS!" Kim yelled, clearly irritated.
"Uh oh! Kim's back!" Jim exclaimed with a smirk.
"Run!" Tim smirked, running from their sister and sliding under her bed.
"Alright, come on out before I become an only child!" Kim warned before Tim grabbed the present box. "And give that back!"
"Who's the present for, Kim?" Jim smirked insultingly.
"No! Let us guess!" Tim smirked.
"A boy!" Both Tweebs smirked making kissy noises before noticing Kim giving her brothers the look that reads, 'You are about to die'. They smiled sheepishly and pushed the present back to Kim.
"We just wanted to tell you that the suit's ready." Jim said.
"And so are the jetpacks." Tim said. Kim smiled, knowing they were ready for a real test flight.
"Great! I'll be right down." Kim said before glaring at her brothers. "But this is not over." She then went downstairs, taking the present with her.
In Tony's workshop, Kim and Ron were being outfitted with brand new jetpacks made by Wade, Tony, and Jarvis. They were a mix of blue, purple, and white. Kim loved the color choices as James, Ann, Jim, and Tim stood by and watched. "These new jetpacks are spanking, Wade!" Kim smiled.
"I'll say! Not bad." Ron smiled as Rufus smiled and nodded from inside Ron's pocket.
"Yeah, we basically remade them with the flight stabilizers. For a faster and smoother flight." Wade said with a proud smile.
"And very fashionable too." Ann smiled as Kim and Ron both put on helmets that matched their jet packs.
"And now let's see Tony's baby in action." Ron smirked as Tony finally entered the workshop. Once he stepped forward, he was outfitted with the Mark II suit, thanks to JARVIS. James, Jim, Tim, Ron, Rufus, and Kim all smirked and nodded approvingly.
"He's glorious!" Jim smiled.
"More glorious than a steel cage match with Pain King and Steel Toe!" Tim added.
"Alright, let's not get too crazy." Ron warned, knowing the GWI was serious to him. Kim just smiled and playfully rolled her eyes at her best friend.
"JARVIS, you up?" Toy asked as he began to put the helmet on.
"At your service, sir." JARVIS replied.
"Sweet! We're ready." Kim smiled.
"Engage Heads Up display." Tony requested, and then, Tony, Kim, and Ron's helmets were filled with with important stuff, including the suits and jetpacks power and biometrics.
"Check." Wade smiled.
"Import all preferences from home interface." Tony said.
"As you wish, sir." JARVIS said as he and Wade began their upload into the HUD of Tony's suit and Kim and Ron's jetpacks. Wade's face then filled Kim and Ron's helmets.
"Hey, looking good, Wade!" Ron smiled. "I still wish I could meet you in the flesh though."
Kim just smiled. "Alright, so what do you two say?" Kim asked.
"We have been indeed uploaded. We're online and ready." JARVIS reported.
"Alright, I'd say we start this test by doing a virtual walk around. Agree, Tony?" James asked.
"Good call, Dr. Possible." Tony smiled. "JARVIS?"
"Importing preferences and calibrating virtual environment." JARVIS replied.
"Do a check on control surfaces." Tony requested.
"As you wish." JARVIS replied. He then began to check to make sure all of Tony's and Kim's weapons and nuts and bolts were all screwed in tight with the suit and jetpacks. James smiled as he found the test sucessful.
"Alright. The test is complete. With that, I'd say we power down to do some diagnostics." James said.
"Actually dad, we need Wade and JARVIS to do a weather and ATC check. You know, listen in on ground control." Kim smiled. "You ready, Wade?"
"You know it." Wade smirked to which Ron gasped.
"Wait? We're gonna test these things out now?!" Ron asked, more then a little bit nervous.
"Ron, chill. We got Wade and JARVIS to keep us safe." Kim smiled reassuringly.
"Now Kimmie Cub, as a rocket scientist and concerned father, I must tell you that there are still terabytes needed to calculate before an actual flight..." James said, with Kim sighing.
"Now James, sometimes you gotta run before you can walk." Tony reassured. James shrugged and gave a thumbs up. Tony then turned his attention to the Tweebs. "You boys ready to see the coolest thing in your lives?"
"Hoo sha!" both Tweebs smirked.
"OK. We're good to go. Daddy, count us down. Please and thank you." Kim said sweetly.
James smiled at that. "Rockets are go in three...two...and one!" James exclaimed. With that, the flight stablizers in Tony's suit and Kim and Ron's jet packs activated. Then, all three flew out of Tony's garage and into the sky, exclaiming all the way.
"WHOO HOO!" Kim exclaimed, feeling an amazing rush. Even better than any roller coaster at the county fair. Ron, on the other hand, kept his eyes closed during the take off.
"This would be so cool, if it wasn't beyond scary!" Ron exclaimed. Rufus then almost slipped out of Ron's pocket and fell, but luckily, Kim grabbed him.
"I got you, Rufus." Kim smiled as she placed the naked mole rat on her back as they flew away from the mansion and towards LA.
"Handles like a dream." Tony smiled. Kim smiled back before noticing Ron still covering his eyes with fear.
"Ron, you can look now." Kim said. Ron then uncovered his eyes and saw the ground way smaller. His fear then turned to joy and excitement.
"Hey, this isn't half bad! This is badical!" Ron happily exclaimed, making Kim giggle as they flew around the pier, through the streets, and into the skies. And Rufus laughed, loving the ride as he continued to hold onto Kim's back.
"What do you say we see what these babies can do?" Tony asked Kim.
"I'd say, 'Perfect'." Kim smirked before contacting Wade. "Wade, what's SR-71's record?"
The 11 year old tech genius typed it into his computer. "The altitude record for fixed wing flight is 85,000 feet." Wade reported.
"Records are made to be broken, kiddos! Come on!" Tony smirked as they continued to climb.
"You're at 84,000 feet! Almost there!" Wade reported, making Kim smirk. But what she and Tony didn't notice was there was ice forming on the Mark II suit, causing a malfunction.
"Sir, there is a potentially fatal buildup of ice occurring." JARVIS reported, but Tony was too focused on breaking the record to listen.
"Keep going!" Tony requested.
"You're at 85,000 now!" Wade reported as they continued to climb higher.
"Higher!" Tony said as the icing problem began to form all around his suit.
"Status?!" Kim asked.
"87,000! You broke the record!" Wade happily exclaimed.
"YES!" Kim and Ron smirked but then gasped as they saw Tony's jet boot give out because of the icing, and began to plummet towards the ground.
"TONY!" Kim exclaimed worriedly as she and Ron flew down to help him before he hit pavement.
"We iced up, JARVIS! Deploy flaps!" Tony screamed, but he couldn't hear his AI butler as he continued to plummet. "JARVIS!" He then saw Kim and Ron by his side.
"We're here to melt you out, Tony!" Ron exclaimed.
"Well come on, kids! We gotta break the ice!" Tony exclaimed. Kim and Ron both used their laser lipstick to melt the ice off of the flaps, allowing Tony to activate them, which prevented a grisly death as JARVIS came back online. They then zoomed through the streets of LA.
"Boo yeah! We scored!" Ron exclaimed, making Kim smile as the three of them then flew back to Malibus where they then hovered over Tony's roof.
"Kill power." Tony ordered. With that, the suit powered down, but Tony crashed through the roof of his house and into his workshop. Ann, James, Jim, and Tim winced as Tony landed onto the roof of one of his sports cars. All four of them were in silence before James spoke up first.
"Well...I say that was a major success!" James smiled widely.
"Hicka bicka boo!" Both Tweebs smiled and high fived each other while Ann remained worried.
After a medical checkup by Ann, she and Tony then stepped back into his workshop with an ice pack on Tony's head. "That should help you concussion." Ann informed.
"Thank you, Mrs. Dr. Possible." Tony said as Ann left, and Kim and Ron came into the workshop.
"Well Kimmie Cub, you, Ronald, and Tony accomplished an amazing feat!" James smiled, and Kim blushed under her own smile.
"It was no big, daddy. Just another world record." Kim said.
"I was talking about proving me wrong with the suit and jetpacks, but that also." James smiled, making Kim giggle as he kissed her on the head and left the workshop.
"Nice job. Both of you." Tony smiled at Kim and Ron. "Though I was kind of expecting Ron would lose his pants mid flight." Kim laughed at that while Ron scowled.
"Oh sure! Mock the sidekick for losing his pants while you probably lose your pants on multiple dates." Ron shot back.
"Hey, it was just 3." Tony smirked.
"Yeah, anyway, that was a fun thrill ride." Kim smiled before noticing the same blueprint Ron saw a few days ago. "What's this?"
"Hey, not for you...yet." Tony said as he put it aside. Kim then tried to do her puppy dog pout, but Tony just smirked. "Nice try, kiddo. That'll not work on me. It's a surprise."
"Fine." Kim smirked back before remembering her present. "Oh, that reminds me. I got a surprise for you." She then pulled the box out from under the table. "Happy early birthday."
Tony smiled warmly at that. "Aww...you shouldn't have." Tony smiled before taking the box and studying it. "Is it a new Ferrari?" Kim giggled at that.
"Well...open it." Kim teased. Tony then opened the box and saw the Mark I Arc Reactor encased in a glass box, and with the phrase 'Proof That Tony Stark Has a Heart' engraved in the outer circle. "I made it. Well, with help from mom of course." Kim smiled at Tony. "If it wasn't for that, you wouldn't be my new friend. You do indeed have a heart." Ron began to sniffle and shed happy tears. Kim just gave Tony an amazing gift. Better than the one she made for Ron last Christmas.
Tony smiled and hugged Kim, who smiled and returned the hug. "Thanks Kim." Tony whispered.
"No big." Kim smiled.
