His vision was failing him, the sweat of his hands made it harder to grasp hers. Sakura still smiled at him in contentment, it only made it harder to want to let go. Yet the Grail still was pulling her away as Illia was holding onto him. Her grip was slipping as well.
"Sakura please!" He shouted.
Her sweet smile continued on through her eyes started to well up with tears.
"Thank you, Senpai." She said with all the calm and poise of a gentle star.
His tears welled up as his desperate pleas couldn't persuade her as the grail enveloped her. He was left in a black void for a solid minute before an explosion threw him back and he blacked out. The ringing in his ears made him wince and he opened his eyes. He was in a room with white walls and a fireplace in the center.
A body lay beside him underneath the blankets with long red and black delicut hair. He rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming. He again saw the same body under the cover not moving an inch. The ringing he had thought was his ear drums bursting in as nothing more than his scroll ringing against the nightstand. Reaching over to pick it up, he pressed the green button and pressed the speaker against his ear.
"Shiro here."
"Yang and Ruby are at the police department… Again." A younger male voice replied.
He let out a frustrated sigh while pinching his nose with the tips of his fingers.
"What are the charges this time?"
"Sexual assault and property damage for Yang, Rubys all clean. I'm picking them up right now. Anything you want me to tell them dad?" The voice replied.
"Tell them they better have a damn good reason for breaking their curfew… not word for word but you get the point Adam."
"Got it. See you at home."
The man known as Adam hung up his end and Shiro pressed the red button. The body right next to him yawned as she held the covers over her chest. Rubbing the tiredness from her eye.
"Let me Guess, Yang looking for Info on Raven?" She asked.
"Yep."
"Went to Jr's because she found out that Adam uses him for information on his bounty's?"
"Most likely."
"She's not gonna stop, you know? Searching for her."
"We told her everything about Raven. Even her darkest parts. And yet she still wants to go after her? I swear this teenage rebellion bullshit ends here." Shiro vented while getting his clothes on.
"She's stubborn like her. Unless she hears the truth from Raven she's not gonna stop pursuing answers no matter what we tell her. She's too young to understand."
"Yeah… but let's do this one step at a time."
Summer got on a pair of sweats and a white t-shirt as Shiro got on his red jacket. Both were about to walk to the living room together when a cry came from a room down the hall. With a sigh she pecked Shrio on the cheek and walked to the room where he heard a gentle "shush" and sweet voice singing to quiet the cries of an infant.
He could only stare before he snapped himself out of it and walked into the living room. He noticed another woman at the table with dark red hair and goat horns sticking out of her forehead sleeping away as there was a lot of paperwork around her, with dark circles under her eyes as the word "bill" was all over envelopes. Looking through the linen closet, he placed a red blanket across her shoulders.
He then could only stare at the door as he took a seat in a recliner.
"Yang, this needs to stop."
