Wow, really was not expecting for this to blow up early! Well, thank you all for reading my story! This gives me great inspiration that people support this story that I made and I promise that I will try to update this as soon as I could! I hope to make you all proud, and once again; thank you for reading!
Now, onto the show.
RWBY and Fate/Stay Night are not owned by me, for good reasons.
After the speech Headmaster Ozpin gave them, they went to different spots in the auditorium, and he picked a spot where he could be nice and cozy.
Well, the speech certainly was nice though, but you got to ask; why does he always have a mug with him?
That's not his problem now, though, so he tucked that in for another rainy day.
He looked at all the people as he tucked in his own sleepwear, a onesie that didn't have the Pumpkin Pete rabbit logo on it, but a plain one to boot, and he liked it.
He already learned the repercussions of that during his stay at the Emiyas.
Let it be known he wasn't happy about it.
He started to look around as everybody started to lay down and sleep.
The weapons there...they weren't special, but they were weapons either way.
For example, Ruby Rose and her Crescent Rose. She was small and the scythe was bigger than her in more ways than one, but she wields it with more finesse and grace than a ballerina would ever achieve in her life. She uses the weapon as almost a platform for her, using its momentum to launch attacks and defending from strikes if need be. She was very fine with the weapon, as she made it herself, and she was very proud her own baby a.k.a. her own weapon.
Yang on the other hand, was basically the bombastic older sister of Ruby Rose. Super protective and always makes puns...to the dismay of others within earshot, as he heard the groans of some people right about now. Her style was more of a dirty boxer than anything, really. She would use Ember Celica, her shotgun gauntlets, like Ruby, but its more wide and more open than Ruby, preferring to fight in close-quarters, which was really her strong suit, unlike Ruby, who literally, pardon his wording, sucks at hand-to-hand and prefers to use her Crescent Rose of dispatching bad guys.
Huh, they were different, in a lot of ways too. Good thing Structural Grasping was there to help him in identifying people.
As he met Ruby and Yang, he also met Weiss and Blake, who most certainly was the heiress of the SDC and daughter of the Chieftain of Menagerie, in that specific order. Weiss was a prissy aristocrat while Blake was the more quiet one of the bunch, and more pragmatic too.
Blake Belladonna had a weapon called Gambol Shroud, which was contently, one of the most complex he had ever done. It was a katana-kusarigama-pistol hybrid, which a cleaver-esque sheathe that kept it in. As he got further into its history, it was found out that she had been with the White Fang, and also with Adam Taurus himself. Damn, of how many SDC robots that weapon had destroyed, Weiss would be more than furious right now. She was very good at wielding it, and due to her Faunus heritage, she was agile, had high endurance, and was precise on some points. She also had remarkable reflexes and a keen eye on some things, as she was able to deflect bullets and dodge them with incredible ease.
Wow, she was quite a handful then.
Next was Weiss Schnee, the heiress of the SDC. Now, he had heard of the SDC through his grandfather, backed up by the information the Emiyas had on them. Well, the current head was Jacques Schnee himself, who was an asshole, to say the least. Faunus exploitation, harsh arrests, shady deals; the man had it all, and more. Weiss was trying to get away from his father, to prove that she could be better and more proficient. She had been lonely throughout her life, her father mostly caring about money than his own damn family. She had a sister named Winter Schnee, who went to the military. She is a bit of a rebel, according to the history of her weapon, but once she puts trust in people, she usually warms up to them. Her weapon was Myrtenaster, a rapier that had a revolver-type system for accepting dust cartridges, and she was about almost on par with her sister, using summoning and dust in conjunction with each other sometimes.
That was...surprising at best. At least she wasn't like his father, and the talks were actually true about the Schnees having hereditary semblances.
Now, a lot of things had been said and done, he analyzed more weapons.
He analyzed a halberd that could shoot bullets.
A short sword that could also shoot bullets.
A mace that had a Fire Crystal inside of it.
Two blades that were what was considered as almost a cheap knockoff of Weiss' Myrtenaster.
Yeah, the men that used those weapons were far from ideal team members. Let's start off with Cardin Winchester.
Son of one of the council members of Vale, he was fed with a silver spoon throughout most of his life, and was arrogant to the core. He and his friends would bully people, and especially Faunus kind in particular. He was trained, but not as trained as some members of his own friend group, as he called it. He was really a prick, to shorten it all.
When you really think about it, he was really a prick and an asshole in one.
Next was Russel Thrush, more like the second-in-command of Cardin. With an alcoholic father and an abusive mother, he was pretty outcast to most of the people until he was saved by Cardin, through the police force and some huntsmen who were sent to their home. Seems like Russell's father was actually a former killer that murdered quite a lot of people, and his mother was a drug peddler. Both were arrested and charged with almost a life sentence in prison, and they were never seen again. Since then, he had been with Cardin, following his every order and being with him all the way.
Third on our list is Dove Bronzewig. Owner of Hallshott, a short sword and a gun in one, he was the most skilled member of the entire group. If he was put 3 versus 1, with his teammates as enemies, he might have a solid chance of taking down one person. He's very skilled with the sword and knows how to exploit it to the very end. But like his peers, he was a bully to the core, and he was very bad and had a serious expression on his face. He also seemed to be a coward at times, but it was normal for their whole team, he guessed, and judging by some of the weapons, he thought that surely some of them were compensating for something.
Lastly, it was time for Sky Lark, with Feather's Edge, a halberd that could shoot bullets. He displays enough strength to actually carry the weapon and gouge a sizable dent on the ground itself. Despite that, he had very little coordination with himself, and maybe with his teammates, as his weapon wasn't really one of the best at blocking close-range shots and attacks. He couldn't defend and attack well at close and medium range, but he can at least be a bit acrobatic and competent when it comes to using his weapon in close-range engagements.
Yeah, they were out of the picture.
Now, let's compare their weapons to one another.
Let's say, Magnhild, a hammer/grenade launcher hybrid, to Executioner, a mace with a fire crystal inside it.
Magnhild was a very peculiar weapon. Wielded by an energetic woman who was just as cheery as the thumps of her own weapon, she wasn't kidding when she was swinging around with her weapon. Although she was cheery at best, and the weapon certainly attracted its own emotions from the owner himself like an energetic puppy that was too high on soda, she had the grace and expertise to wield that weapon like it was nothing, controlling the energetic weapon like you would never see in somebody who would wield the same weapon as she did. Despite her mostly cheery attitude, the weapon was more than happy to serve its owner on its intented mission; to kill Grimm. She had the skills and the control to take out Grimm like she was doing a home run with it, and the hyper-weapon was all too kind, just like its owner. Executioner on the other hand, had only one thing in its mind; kill Grimm and follow orders. The blunt weapon didn't have as much control and as much finesse as Magnhild had, and that's saying something. The weapon itself was just like a mindless drone, content only to serve its master's orders, unlike the hammer/grenade launcher hybrid, who was all too happy to serve and bond with its owner and/or master.
But there was one thing they all had in common; the masters truly bond with their weapons.
Now, where was that woman that he had been looking for all this time?
He saw her when the speech was going on...did she disappear or moved to another location.
"Penny for your thoughts?"
That took him out of his musings, and saw the girl he had been looking for.
"Ah sorry. Name's Jaune Arc. What may your name be?"
That must have hit something because as soon as he said that once again, she beamed at it.
"Ah, Pyrrha Nikos. Nice to meet you."
Pyrrha Nikos. Hailing from Argus, she was Mistral's four-time tournament champion, and they were really proud of her. She was much of a celebrity, like shows, TV commercials and even in some food boxes, including those atrocious Pumpkin Pete cereals. Her weapons were Milo and Akouo; a short sword that could turn into a spear and its partner, a shield. She had worn a pajama thaT really hugged her curvaceous figure had really added to her overall beauty. She was tournament champion, four years running, and quite possibly one of the most skilled in the entire freshmen groups in the room, and he counted himself as one of them. If they went head-to-head, it would just all boil down on who would make the first mistake of giving the enemy an opening to exploit. She had smelled like iron, like the ones used in swords, and she had a really nice shampoo on her since it smelled so nice.
Huh, ironic since his Origin and Element also had Sword on it.
Actually, it wasn't really told what his Origin and Element was.
Last he heard from them that his Origin was Sword and Weapon, while his Elements were the five great elements, plus the other two, same from his Origin.
"What were you doing? Looking for someone?" She asked him, with somewhat a hopeful glint in her eyes.
"Nah, just sizing up the crowd; you know, the works." He replied, and both of them chuckled a bit.
"You know...I saw you looking at me...during the speech." She said meekly, and cue blushes at that time.
"Oh no! Um...please don't take it out of context; I was just looking at your weapons, that's all!" He said immediately.
"Oh I knew that! I didn't mean to imply that - I'm so sorry!" She said in reply, quite profusely as well.
After a few minutes, they then talked about and as time passed, they saw one by one that people were starting to sleep.
"I thought you knew me because you were looking at me like the other people had, but then...you just went to the next person and looked at them like I did. You know, it's really a breath of fresh air for me for someone not to hound me for who I am."
"Oh...Um, I'm sorry?" He more or less asked.
"Oh no, it's okay! It's really okay with me." She immediately replied and then they chuckled a bit before Pyrrha continued.
"You know, when people look at me, they want to take advantage of me...just like what Weiss just did to me...I just wanted to live a normal life out of the spotlight...and as soon as I saw you looking at me then looking at another like you didn't know me...It was really a relief for me." She said sincerely.
"Well, it was really nice to meet you. I was just, you know, looking at the weapons since I just used to read them in magazines. It's really mind-blowing to see all these weapons here in one place at any given time." He replied.
"Really? You must have a sheltered childhood." She told him.
"Yeah, parents weren't the most supportive to me when I wanted to be a Huntsman." He told her in reply.
"Oh, I didn't mean to pry or anything...I'm sorry." She said, her head downcast.
"Well, don't be." He said as she looked back up to him. "I was trained by one of my grandfather's friends; they were such a happy family, though, and it was a blessing that I got to live with them most of the time. They, along with my grandfather and two sisters, were really supportive of me when it came to my dreams. I only got here in Beacon because Headmaster Ozpin himself gave me an acceptance letter, and fortunately, my parents weren't there to see it, really." he said.
"Well, it seems a lot of people had been spoken for really." Just by looking around, he saw that people already had their partners in preparation for the initiation tomorrow.
"You'd be surprised though." She said to him, which made him perk up.
"Ho? What makes you say that?" He said with a raised eyebrow and a playful grin.
"You're still free, and that counts, doesn't it?" She asked.
"It does. You want to be?" He asked in reply.
"Of course. See you then." She smiled as she said that as the lights got turned off one by one, and Blake blew out the last lamp that was on.
"Goodnight, Pyrrha."
"Goodnight to you too, Jaune."
Jaune was at the locker room, now locking on the outfit that Shirou had made and both Rin and Irisviel had modified with countless hidden runes and jewels. He was now wearing a somewhat military-esque uniform with runic gloves with a bit of Jewel magecraft in them. The outfit, from head to toe, was covered in runic protection and jewel magecraft, which made it good for all around protection for the body. In the inside, just in case the runic protection and the jewels were penetrated, silicon-carbide disks, coupled with ceramic mattresses and accompanying laminates, and the same nanotechnology used by Atlesian Special Forces units such as the Special Operatives Unit and the Ace Ops themselves. Basically, the entire outfit is like a shield, with the nanotubes built in hardening to stop anything trying to penetrate it; from about submachine gun Dust and Anti-Aura ammo to about the smack of a Deathstalker; he was ready for anything.
He slicked his hair to make it look like a certain Archer's style and then got his weapon out of the locker named Ever After. It was a katana with a golden blade and the handle had the Arc crest on it, with golden outlines and a violet accent on some parts of it, while the sheath also had a golden outline with violet accents, but both the handle and the sheath were predominantly black in color.
The Tenshin Shinto-Ryu style of Mistralian martial arts and his mastery of its broad range of martial skills were very useful to him, after all.
(A.N.: If you want to know what the outfit is, it's just like the one is Assassin's Pride worn by Kufa Vampir.)
After that, he started to check with the twin married blades next; Kanshou and Bakuya. He twirled and practiced a bit with them on the room, in which some of the people were actually looking at him, but he just ignored them. After that, as he looked around, he saw Weiss with Pyrrha, just talking to her while she attached her bracers on her arms. Jaune shot a sympathizing smile to her and she replied back, but Weiss, being who she is, misinterpreted it as shown to her when it was directed at Jaune himself; but he didn't mind it; as long as she minded her own business, he was fine with it.
Meanwhile, on the other side of him was Ruby and Yang, who were talking about something, and Ruby saying more along the lines of 'her not needing to break out of her shell' and that 'she drinks milk', whatever that was all about. On the other side, Ren and Nora were just talking about sloths and how they sound; probably it was to be used in the initiation; a cool tactic though, if it was anything but peculiar.
And just as he placed his katana on his hip, suddenly, Ruby grabbed one of his arms as Yang watched her sister in shock of what she just did, and pretty gobsmacked at it though; looking like a great impersonation of a fish out of water.
Safe to say, he was poker-faced at that one.
"Suffice to say the least, you're not the only one that's here!" She then hugged his arm harder. "Because Jaune is here with me!" She said happily to her sister, while said sister shot a thumbs to him, in which he shook his head in reply.
Suddenly, a weapon flew to his shoulder, just nearly missing him but getting his clothes caught in the process.
"Oh sorry Jaune! I didn't mean that!" She said as she rushed towards him. "I really didn;t mean that!"
"Well, it's alright, things happen and we make mistakes." He replied, giving her a sincere smile.
He swore that he saw a blush in her cheeks, but maybe that was his eyes playing tricks on him.
"Thank you for playing along. I really needed that to get away from Weiss."
He mouthed 'no problem' to her in reply.
As they were making their final preparations, the PA, which was surprisingly Miss Goodwitch's voice, spoke over. "Would all first years students report to the cliff immediately for the initiation."
"Come on, Shirou. It's time." She said happily; too happily to begin with.
And he followed her, not noticing Ruby glaring at Pyrrha's back while Yang consoled her.
The students stood on the edge of the cliff, as they stood in a square platform, that he guessed would lunch them into the forest itself.
"You have trained your entire life for this one moment, and your skills will now be evaluated at the Emerald Forest." Headmaster Ozpin told them as he stood in front of their line.
"Now, you may have heard rumors about the assignment of teams." She looked really stern as she eyed every single one of them. "Well, allow us to put an end to these rumors, as each of you will be given teammates...today."
Some were happy for it, and how recoiled in fear, as he saw Ruby looking like someone shattered her dreams and threw it all away.
"These teammates of yours will be the ones you will be working together as you stay here in Beacon." Ozpin continued. "And so it is in your best interests that you will be good and closely work together with them."
He dropped essentially an anvil of what he said next to them. "The first one you will make eye-contact will be your partner for the next four years in Beacon."
"What?!" Exclaimed Ruby.
"After you've partnered up.." Wow, Ozpin just ignored that really. "Make your way to the edge of the Northern end of the Forest. You will see and meet opposition along the way; so you must eliminate them all, or you will die. You will be monitored and graded for the duration of the initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path, in which you will find several relics, and you must choose one of them and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard the item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately after that."
Well, that was a bombshell nobody had ever expected to hear, especially Ruby herself as she still seemed shell-shock.
Let fate and luck decide on who you partner would be for the next four years of your school life? Well, things just got a little spicier.
"Any questions?" Ozpin asked, and nobody answered. "Good! Now take positions and get ready."
One by one, the students got launched into the forest with incredible force, launching them into an arc straight to the forest itself.
As the sound grew closer, he uttered two words in his mind.
TRACE ON!
A lot of students had their ways of landing safely into the ground.
Ruby fired forwards rapidly to reduce her momentum before hooking her scythe on a tree branch, spinning to bleed off the excess speed generated, and then gracefully landed on the ground.
Weiss summoned glyphs to slow her downfall, springing from one glyph to another before falling safely for the last few feet.
Ren corkscrewed around the trunk of a large tree and then landed on the bottom as safely as he could.
Yang fired her gauntlets to propel herself as far as she could, finally springing off of a few trees and rolling forward on the ground and then continuing to run forward, all without breaking stride.
Pyrrha simply held forth Akouo, smashing directly into three trees in a row before landing and rolling along on a thick tree branch in the fourth. She needed to keep a high vantage point, and quickly turned Milo into its rifle form, scanning for targets.
Where the heck was he? He was last to be launched from the pads! Could I have missed him.
Sure enough, she saw him, lazily floating along in a wingsuit.
Well, well, her future partner sure was resourceful.
Oh how he loved his magecraft and semblance right now.
After using his wingsuit, he then deployed his parachute and slowly guided himself onto one of the trees, carefully targeting it before getting caught in it.
Oh, he was about to enjoy this day, as he would soon find out.
