HEYOOOOOOO! Silent-Reaper here. Yes, I'm still alive. College Life, Family, and work tend to take a massive majority of my time in the outside world. As well as a little bit of gaming. Sorry~

In all seriousness, I really should thank the you guys who read my random stories here. Makes it feel a bit more worthwhile to post. This story is gonna be a one-shot for a long-while, since, you know, blah blah many ideas, so little time to write. The curse of writing as a hobby!

Please, enjoy!

The world of Remnant is full of ravenous dangers and horrid monstrosities, everyone living in it knows that. Those same ravenous dangers and horrid monstrosities are, of course, commonly known as the Grimm. The hideous Beasts, Demons, and Monsters that take the shape of animals, be that real or mythical.

Nearly 80% of the land mass that Remnant offers have been claimed by the Grimm. The remaining percentage are a small mix of natural wildlife, plant-life, and obviously Faunus/Human-life.

The latter of the remaining 20% are what those Grimm love to exclusively kill and destroy. Why? Nobody truly knows.

What they do know, however, is the fact that those monsters are attracted towards negative emotion, as well as those who's Aura have been unlocked.

Like the Huntsman and Huntresses from the Four Kingdoms.

Elite warriors trained from a young age to solely protect and serve for the survival of Humanity. Becoming a Huntsman/Huntress is an amazing honor and goal for many who were raised within each kingdom. And who wouldn't want to be a strong warrior who brings hope and inspiration to anyone they come to pass by? It is understandable for it to be a respectable career path for anyone!

But many often forget that striving to be a Huntsman/Huntress is only one of many career paths that the four kingdoms offer to the people.

There are the dull but equally important tasks like office workers, construction workers, teachers for non-huntsman schools, cooks, janitors, dietary workers, and much of the like.

But some seek a more lively career. One that also brings as much positivity as the protectors of Humanity themselves.

RemTubers!

Since Atlas' invention of the revolutionary Cross Continental Transmit System - or CCTS for short - videos, audio, images, and text are sent freely between each kingdoms, creating an online web for all to use as they please. Eventually, Scrolls are invented alongside with the CCTS, and are affordable to all!

Thus, bringing in the Digital Age of Remnant. The beginning of Remnant's internet!

RemTube is one of the many applications, or apps, that bring the direct source of entertainment from these devices. It is one of the fastest growing sites in the internet, and it has caught the attention of many companies for potential advertisements to the public. It made it possible for anyone to turn their hobbies into a business!

While the company itself recently became a bit... shady since it's humble start, it never fails to serve what it offers: to bring positivity in this dark world of theirs! And the most popular users of RemTube are simply called RemTubers.

Each RemTuber has a channel for many to subscribe and be notified of the content that they made being uploaded. Thousands upon thousands of videos are uploaded by millions of RemTubers every single second, but only a few will gain the attention of the crowd.

And when one does garner the attention of many watchers, they will even have a chance to go beyond RemTube; to become a celebrity!

An example of one of the first Remtubers that became a celebrity is that of a celebrity named Bustin Jieber, a Beaver Faunus with a bowl haircut and had a feminine complexion in his younger years, but soon lost his spark later in the years.

But what of those who increasingly gained popularity and simply stayed on the site?

Well, let's take a look at one of these top 1 percent, the creamiest cream of the crop of this system of RemTubers. Who could it be?

Well, you've read the title of this story, haven't you? His channel name is-

"How's it going bros, my name is JAAAAAAAUNIEPIE!" Yelled the blonde teenage boy on one of the corners of the Scroll's screen.

That one RemTuber, being watched by millions everyday, is the current number one most subscribed channel on the site. Before to this young teen came to the site a few years ago, the number one channels that dominated the internet were DERF, Irritating Apple, Smoosh, and FaunaHiga, each ranging around over one to five million Subscribers at the time.

Now back in the current year with JauniePie, holding a WHOPPING record of 60 MILLION Subscribers! Many may ask, wow, what did he do to gain that many?! And the answer is simple if you simply take a look at him.

From his head he wore a standard headset equipped with a mic, his blue, red, and white stripped pattern chair which can do amazing things that most chairs cannot do, and a simple black hoodie of his logo, which consists of two Crescent Moons encircling a fist.

Can you take a guess at what he uploads?

"Today we are playing... dang I forgot the name of the game already... it's like I have Amnesia or something. Oh right! It's-"

That's right, Let's-Play videos. And one pajama-wearing Ruby Rose cannot help but watch his videos everyday in the morning and late night.

"I still don't understand why you watch those videos of that guy, Rubes." Commented Yang Xiao-Long, the older sister of the little 15-year-old reaper.

The pair of siblings are preparing their sleeping bags in the shared hall of Beacon with the other soon-to-be Beacon students. Well, Yang is doing it for the two of them, while Ruby is just sitting against the wall with Scroll in hand, not even bothering in helping her. Ruby just placed a single finger over her lips.

"SHHHH, Yang! Tonight is JauniePie's return to playing the first horror game he ever played on the channel!"

"What makes it so different from the first time he played?" The blonde sister asked.

"It's the remastered version! More jump-scares, improved graphics, and he knows what to do this time!"

"Ruby you don't even play those types games. Like, ever. What's so fun with watching another person playing it for you?"

Ruby huffed. "It's for the shared experience! It makes it feel like I'm hanging with him as he plays the game!"

Yang shrugged and unrolled her sleeping bag. "He calls his viewers 'Bros'. Are you sure the videos in that channel are even for you? Dad is even wary about the other content he uploads."

"He calls everyone his Bros. The female fans don't mind being called that. At least, I sure don't mind being a part of his 'Bro Army'. And I watch his gaming videos only, I swear upon my baby Crescent Rose."

Yang rolled her eyes and exaggerated a sigh. "Well now is not the time to watch his videos. The night is still young! Start making friends and meet the people here. Who knows they could be your future classmates soon!"

"After the 'Weiss Incident' this morning, I'm not really in the mood to make friends tonight, Yang..." Despite the protest, Yang dragged her up anyway.

"Nonsense, Rubes! How about that quiet girl over there next to the candle?" She pointed at the bow-wearing brunette in a black kimono. A very short kimono that showed off a bit too much leg. "She seems the talkative type."

"Yang, no- I said stop- I'm missing the first jump-scaaaaare~!" The sisters kept bickering and bickering loudly, already catching the attention of the brunette reading her book.

"Hello there~!" Yang greeted singly.

"...Hey." She replied, then proceeded to focus back on her book.

"..."

"So what's your name? Mine's Yang!"

"...Blake."

"..."

The silence was awkward, but Yang "Not Awkward" Xiao-Long is never awkward! It's time for the Xiao-Long Classic maneuver.

"Ha~aaaaave-you-met-Ruby?" Yang forcefully switched places with Ruby in a blink of an eye, but soon noticed that her socially-inept little sister was still deeply focused on continuing to watch her Scroll.

The amber-eyes Blake girl recognized the girl faintly. "Aren't you... the girl who exploded in the courtyard?"

"Huh? Wuh? Yeah yeah sure." Ruby mumbled, eyes glued to the screen. Yang facepalmed hard at the anti-socialness of the two.

"Ruby, what are you doing!? Talk to her!" Whispered Yang.

"Let me watch JauniePie in peace!" Ruby fiercely whispered back.

The bow on top of Blake's head twitched slightly. "JauniePie? You watch him?"

With that question, Ruby's attention now landed on Blake., realizing that someone is actually attempting to socialize with her. "Y-Yes! I do! Once a day, a-actually. I've been subscribed for almost a year now and since then never missed a single video. H-How, uh, how did you know him?"

"I read his book a few times."

Ruby's face went from a few feet to a couple of inches in an instant. Her silver eyes sparkled into amber ones. "He wrote a book?! Since when? I haven't heard of this before!"

"That's because he published it a few years ago when he was around 24 million subscribers. Goes by the title 'This Book Loves You'." Blake smiled, but only a little. "It's a parody of those self-help books. It includes various anti-proverbs with visuals to match. I stumbled upon it when I was going through a... rough time."

"And it actually helped you?" Yang couldn't help but ask. She's just as surprised as Ruby. The guy actually wrote a dang book? Who knew! Apparently this bow-wearing girl.

Blake shrugged, a pleasant look on her face. "In a way, it did. It made me happy for just a few moments when I was in a bad place."

Smirking, Ruby turned to Yang with pajama-clothed chest puffed out. "See that, Yang? JauniePie helps people even beyond the videos! So it's not bad for me to watch him!"

Yang, refusing to acknowledge her little sister's cockiness, didn't answer. She simply locked a fast arm around Ruby's head, her hand in a fist and knuckles twisting at the top of her skull and further messing up the dark-red-tipped-locks of hair in a classic noogie.

"Gah, dang it Yang! Stop iiiiit! I can't see my Scroll at this angle!"

"I'm doing you a favor," Yang responded, still giving the destructive noogie. "You should really tone it down a bit with your obsessive daily watching. It's not healthy for you eyes."

"My eyes are fine, and I'm not obsessed with watching-!"

"Can you buffoons PLEASE be quiet?! Some of us are trying to peacefully sleep around here- oh it's you." Weiss "The cranky girl she met this morning" Schnee, something-something heiress to something, intruded. Her annoyance shown clearly as day towards Ruby. "Are you going to ruin people's nights too?"

The noogie stopped, and Yang turned to face this stuck up Ice Queen (Ha! Ice Queen. Nice one, Me).

"Hey, you tryin' to insult my baby sister here in front of ME?" Yang flashed her glaring red eyes at the Heiress. The Ice Queen glared back without backing down.

"I'm trying to keep the peace and quiet for the sake of the people you're disturbing around you!"

"Oh as if I'm the one who-"

And the two kept up the heated argument while the little reaper groaned from the sidelines. "I just want to watch JauniePie and then sleep..."

Weiss Schnee's glare snapped towards Ruby at the mere mention of the RemTuber. "JauniePie? You actually watch that glorified buffoon?"

Ruby, for the first time of that night, felt a tinge of anger coursing through the tone of her voice. "Yeah, I do! What's it to you?"

Weiss flipped her long-white hair and scoffed. "His videos are made for mindless children with too much time on their hands. But I'm not so surprised to learn the fact that you watch him."

Ruby pointed an accusing finger at the increasingly annoying ice queen. "No they're not! His videos are funny and make everyone happy. He's a major contributor to spreading positivity in all the kingdoms!"

"No one over the age of 9 would ever watch and listen to the ridiculous shrieks and screams coming out of that idiot's mouth. He doesn't deserve to be the most subscribed channel when there are so many people far better than him on the site."

"She's just envious and jealous that he's the most subscribed channel on RemTube instead of her." Blake stated, willing to defend the reputation of her favorite RemTuber. The face of the Schnee Heiress blushed red within a second.

"T-That's ridiculous! Don't make up lies just to defend him-"

"Your channel, WeissSchneeVevo, only consists a measly sum of at most 250k subscribers. Quarter of a million."

"I'll have you know that I didn't make that channel nor own it personally. It was my sponsors and agent who did it during my singing career, which I stated publicly that I am now retired from!"

"50k-70k views per song. Most popular one is you singing the song 'This Life is Mine' live on concert with a total of around 150k views. Total amount of views on the channel is 9 million at most since the start and end of your singing career. Compare that to JauniePie's millions of views after posting just one video every single day."

"How would you know that much about my channel?!"

"The about page." Blake grinned. "And I thought you said that it's 'not your channel'?"

"I didn't-! It wasn't- I only-" Weiss stomped her foot on the ground as her face reached the same colors as Ruby's cape. "Never you mind! I'm going to sleep, and I better not come back here again!" She strutted away haughtily with every click in her step.

Now that she's off their backs, Ruby faced Blake again with a bright and thankful smile. "Thanks for that. I hate it when people call him dumb without even knowing who he is first. Want to watch his latest video with me?"

Blake shook her head. "I would like to, but I just wanted to read for tonight then sleep."

"Aw, alright. Have a good read then, Blake!" Ruby dragged Yang back to their own sleeping spot, the oldest deciding best to just sleep the anger away. The youngest fluffing up her pillow and rest her head down to get some nice deserving sleep, happy that she made some mutual friendship with someone.

"Oh my Oum is that... it IS! STEPHANIA! I missed you so much!"

Riiiiiiight after she finished watching this video.

And there you have it. RemTube! One of my short-story ideas that I've had in my head for a long time is finally out and about to everyone reading it!

There is obviously more I want to explore with Remnant's Internet and references to old meme-culture, like a LOT LOT more, but inspiration is like a matchstick. It only lasts for so long in so little a sudden moment.

Just want to say ahead that this is gonna be a funny parody of the weird competition known as the Pewdiepie vs T-Series schtick.

I know a few people might think this incident at some point, but I'm gonna say it for clarification. I will not mention the "incident" that happened in a certain bridge on a ground that is a battlefield. Just a focus on the comedy.

This is an AU of Jaune being this increasingly popular Remtuber that came seemingly out of nowhere. Obviously before the 100Million Subs Competition. How he came to be will be explored somewhat, along with more POVs of the main cast and their opinions on the matter. NPR included.

Also am I doing this comedy thing right? I think I am. Eh, leave it in the reviews.

Now that's all I got left to say.

STAY SAFE OUT THERE, FELLAS AND FELLA-ETTES AND FELLS! SILENT-REAPER OUT AGAIN!
