Chapter 15: Ancestor Protection

In Null Space, War Master Gorrath was hoping that his subordinate had come up with a good plan to defeat the Megas team and right now, he was incredibly angry, truly angry beyond measure.
"I asked you to come up with a plan! Not this toy!" Gorrath shouted.
The object in question was a ring-like object that was silver in color that had a teal button on it as Gorrath threw the object. The Glorft Commander caught in easily and tried to explain it.
"War Master Gorrath, allow me to fully demonstrate this device…."
After putting on his left wrist, Gorrath activated the device. When it was powered up, Gorrath saw what it was: a holographic disguise. It made Gorrath look like a beefy human biker much to his controlled disgust.
"Disgusting, but I'll give this idea a try. Commander! Take us out of Null Space and prepare for an attack!" Gorrath shouted.
Back on Earth while that plan was unfolding on the other hand, Perseus was less than thrilled at being dragged to the latest antic of Coop and Jamie; a punk rock concert as soon enough, he spoke up to Coop.
"Tell me why we're going to this?"
"Cause it's fun!"
Perseus grumbled as he sat in the backseat of Coop's car/cockpit for the evening show as for him, he rarely went to rock concerts. To him, they got very crowded and crazy quickly. On top of that, he had to leave his mech behind as his sisters wanted to use it for a girls week camping trip.
"They better not touch all the buttons for the weapons or something…" Perseus said to himself.
"Come on, at least your mech is not being used to go to a funeral in New Orleans like what Alex's mech is." Jamie said.
"Jamie, I'll have Coop pull Megas over and I'll go ahead and kick your butt for an hour…besides, it is Alex's great-grandmother. Lived to be 100 dudes…" Perseus said with annoyance.
Coop then spoke, "Hey Perseus, ever heard of Action Park?"
"That place? I heard it was nicknamed Accident Park, Traction Park and Class Action Park due to many people getting hurt and six people dying there due to rides being badly designed by people that were less than engineers. On top of that, booze was available rather plentiful due to a microbrewery near Motorworld and ID being rarely checked for alcohol purchases. Why?" Perseus asked.
"Well, I went there years ago, and it was fun! Not as many rules as possible and was cool! Too bad in closed in 1996 I think." Coop said with joy.
"Yeah, it's where I got my first glance of booba thanks to the Tarzan Swing. I also mooned Coop while on it for fun. Too bad it's now called Mountain Creek park and a good number of rides are either gone or redesigned," Jamie said with a small smile.
Coop then spoke, "Dude! Seriously? You did that?"
"Why was this Action Park so dangerous?" Kiva asked.
"Another time Kiva, another time okay," Perseus said calmly.
"Fine…" Kiva said with annoyance.
Soon enough, Megas arrived at the concert in question called Greater New Jersey Punk Fest. After bursting through a sign, Coop then accidentally wrecked someone's expensive car.
"Oops…" Coop said nervously.
"Eh, you've wrecked worse…" Jamie said with a snark.
Coop then looked around for a parking spot or three due to sheer size of Megas. Soon enough about several, long minutes later, Coop parked Megas while wrecking two cars in the process.
"Let's hope you don't get sued by three angry owners." Perseus said with narrowed eyes.
"Eh, happens all the time with Coop and besides, there is a thing called insurance…" Jamie said.
"Whatever, you guys keep this up, you're on your own…" Perseus said sternly.
Kiva then spoke, "So, instead of honing our skills, we're going to listen to some music?"
"Yeah! This stuff does help me and it's fun!" Coop shouted.
"What's a mosh pit?" Kiva asked.
"You'll find out soon Kiva, perhaps I'll get floated over some hot chicks…" Jamie said calmly.
Perseus then spoke, "Oh please, you're more likely to get pummeled at one than be carried by one. I think a Mosh Pit is something with Rock concerts where the music becomes tense enough that people do all sorts of crazy things…"
"Wonder why they don't float me above the crowd like you Jamie?" Coop asked.
"Yeah, I wonder…." Jamie said with a snark.
"Mostly likely due to Coop being a heavy or very fat type of guy who could accidentally crush people due to his girth…" Perseus said.
Coop then spoke, "Hey now! I am not fat! I'm big-boned!"
"Just saying…" Perseus said calmly.
"Hey Coop, you should sit on him if it'll help him…" Jamie said with a smirk.
"As fun as that would be, I rather not do that, or my mom would be mad at me. Besides, I'm happy the way I look." Coop said calmly.
Perseus then spoke, "At least you got a positive body self-image…"
Soon enough, the four exited Megas and headed inside. Perseus felt a bit out of place at the Punk Concert, but at least he was with Coop, Jamie and Kiva. Once there, they encountered Goat and Tiny who were also decked out in rock concert music garb.
Clad in dark clothing, the tall and well-built African American man nicknamed Tiny nodded to the group. As far as Perseus knew, Tiny bonded very well with Alex. Heck, he was the one who came up with the color pattern for Alex's mech.
"What's up guys?" Tiny asked with a smile.
"Hey Tiny! You ready to rock?!" Coop shouted with joy.
Goat on the other hand was checking out Kiva in her new garb. The attire in question was black tank top and black pants with black shoes. Perseus stood nearby watching the scene.
"Hey Kiva, I'm digging the new look of you…" Goat said.
"So, when is the music going to start?" Kiva asked.
Just barely a second or two after she asked that, the music suddenly blared on without warning. Much to Kiva's chagrin, it was loud to the point she covered her ears. Then, she spoke up.
"Please tell me that this isn't the music!"
Perseus then spoke, "LOOKS LIKE IT!"
"MOSH PIT!" Coop shouted a second later.
Goat tried to make his move to Kiva, but he got quickly body slammed by several people including a blonde dude in punk garb. Coop didn't help much as he too body slammed Goat.
Jaime on other hand found it rather amusing until he too got body slammed himself. After being in the mosh pit for just a few minutes, Jamie had enough and decided to get some air.
"Alright, I'm heading out to the snack bar…" Jamie said to himself.
"I'm coming along too…" Perseus said a second later.
Kiva then followed the pair out just as Coop shouted for them to get him nachos. A short while later after standing in line for a few minutes, the trio had rather big piles of food for them, but mostly for Coop.
"Are you sure this is enough?" Kiva asked.
"Considering most of this will go to Coop, I doubt it as we'll be making another run…" Jamie said calmly.
"Seeing that he's a black hole for snacks like this, how does Coop afford it?" Perseus asked.
Just as Jamie was about to answer, a commotion was happening nearby as people were getting shoved aside roughly. The concert goers were being pushed by what looked like a pack of beefy bikers.
What no one realized was that this was War Master Gorrath and a handful of Glorft with him including his second in command. From how they were moving, they weren't here to party. Perseus sensed trouble with these guys.
"I thought we left the mosh pit?" Kiva asked.
"We did…" Jamie said calmly.
Just then, Perseus saw something very odd: when one patron was roughly shoved aside, his drink sailed in the air and landed on the lower arm of one of the rude beefy bikers.
Then suddenly, it arched with electricity and then, Perseus saw that the rude biker or concert goer was a Glorft alien. Perseus knew that if the Glorft were here, trouble was coming.
On the other hand, Gorrath in his disguise glared at his second-in-command. For the War Master of the Glorft, he didn't want the plan to end up in failure so soon before it could begin. The Glorft Commander told his boss that it was a minor glitch.
"Did you see that?" Kiva asked.
"Yeah, not good," Perseus said.
Then, the trio heard the bikers talking to each other about something. However, what showed they were not normal bikers as one of them held a large, scanning device. One of them sounded like Gorrath to Perseus.
"This plan of yours better work in locating the target! It's getting harder to contain my urge to smash-"
Gorrath didn't finish ranting to his second in command when the Glorft Commander spoke up rather quickly with an update. Whatever they were looking for, they were getting closer to it.
"We're getting closer sir to the target! Any second now…"
Kiva, Jamie and Perseus saw a fight was coming with Gorrath appearing to shout to get Kiva. While Jamie ran, he and Kiva stood their ground. However, to their surprise, the Glorft ignored them.
Instead, the Glorft were heading towards some random chick at a T-shirt stand who didn't hear them coming. This was very odd since the Glorft were very precise of who they targeted.
Whomever this was, this female was in grave danger and Kiva knew it as well along with Perseus. Gorrath on the other hand found the target his group was looking for and pulled out a gun.
With three red dots for targeting, Gorrath locked onto his target. Perseus saw this and tried to tackle Gorrath but got shoved aside by one of his goons. Thankfully, Kiva jumped in at the last second and saved the chick.
Getting up quickly, Perseus went to where Kiva was at. Both Kiva and Perseus tried to talk to the red-head woman, but she ran away. Gorrath's second in command saw it and shouted an order.
"Don't let her get away!"
To the rest of the concert goers, the attempted gun violence for some reason was normal stuff. This apathy disturbed Perseus as both he and Kiva found Jamie hiding behind a trash can.
"Don't worry, I'm okay," Jamie said calmly.
"What do the Glorft want with that girl? We have to find her," Kiva said a second later.
"Agreed, we can't let them get her," Perseus said with a stern look.
Jamie then spoke, "Then I'm heading the other way."
While Jamie spoke, he gestured the opposite way of where Kiva and Perseus wanted to go. Neither Kiva nor Perseus were amused by this as Kiva spoke up in a rather annoyed voice.
"Fine, then when you run into the heavily armed Glorft that look like humans, you handle them…"
Upon hearing it, Jamie wisely reconsidered it and went with Kiva and Perseus. On the other hand, the Glorft were still looking for their target and Gorrath wasn't happy so far.
"Grr, the girl is gone! Your plan has failed commander!"
The Glorft Commander spoke, "She hasn't gone far sir, I'll have three of our own go in one direction, the rest are with me! We'll find her sir!"
"Idiots! I'll find her myself!" Gorrath shouted.
While that was going on, Coop was just enjoying himself at the mosh pit with Goat and Tiny. He was oblivious to the chaos outside of the arena. The girl that the Glorft were after on the other hand was trying to flee. She then went into an area meant for employees. Going further, she thought she was safe.
That was until a hand pulled her into a storage room. The person who pulled her in was none other than Kiva. Near her were Jamie and Perseus. The girl recognized Kiva as the EC Commander held the girl against a wall gently and spoke to her.
"Do you know who those so-called men were and why they're after you?"
The girl swatted Kiva's left hand away and glared at the trio before her. Perseus got a good look at the girl as she was a red-head like Kiva, but a darker shade of red. A light purple t-shirt, dark pants and shoes completed the look. The girl then spoke up.
"First off, who are you?! Second, why are you freaks stalking me?"
"Cool your jets red-head, the female with me is Kiva, a no-nonsense action girl and the dude with us is Jamie, coward and big mouth talker. I am Perseus Burton, a dude from Michigan. What's your name?" Perseus said calmly.
"Hey now, I'm a big-time space hero! I've saved the Earth like 12 times!" Jamie shouted in annoyance.
Kiva then spoke, "What could the Glorft possibly want with you?"
Before Kiva could get her answer, a pair of doors were suddenly forced open. Standing in the opening was the disguised Gorrath. Gorrath laughed for a bit before he spoke.
"Looks like my plan is coming together perfectly…."
Gorrath aimed the same gun earlier at the girl before Kiva stepped in front of her in order to protect her. Gorrath snarled and put his gun down before muttering Kiva's name in disgust.
"Gorrath…even as a human you're just as repulsive…" Kiva said in calm anger.
"Gorrath? Aw man, every time I get somewhere with a chick, he shows up…" Jamie said in disappointment.
"Dude, are you serious at a time like this?" Perseus asked in annoyance.
Gorrath then spoke, "A family reunion…how touchy…"
"Family? What are you talking about?" Kiva asked in confusion.
Kiva took a quick glance at the female behind her and then, came to a horrifying conclusion: the girl she was trying to protect did resemble her. In fact, she was an ancestor of hers!
"Oh no…" Kiva muttered in horror.
"Once I destroy you, your descendants will all disappear, every…single…one…" Gorrath said while pointing his gun towards the girl behind Kiva.
"But you're from the future Kiva! You don't have any family!" Jamie said in fear.
Kiva then spoke, "If I'm never born, I'll never be able to steal the prototype and send it back to the past…"
"And I'll never have to be sent back to the past, to this planet surrounded by all of this Human filth!" Gorrath shouted as he pointed his gun at Jamie.
"Ha, ha, ha! Earth is doomed! HA! HA! HA! I wonder how this will work, will you Kiva simply just disappear? Or will it hurt?" Gorrath said in smug pride.
"Wait, let me understand, this hottie is related to Kiva?" Jamie asked while pointing at Kiva's ancestor.
Kiva glared harshly at Gorrath as she backed up for a fight that was going to happen. As Kiva backed up, she picked up a metal pipe to fight the Glorft war monger as she spoke to the alien.
"Gorrath, it takes a special kind of evil for you to cook up a clever plan like this."
"Maybe I should get rid of you first Kiva, just to see your ancestor suffer…" Gorrath said with malice.
"That would've been a good plan, but that's not going to happen!" Kiva shouted in determination.
Kiva then swung the pipe at Gorrath knocking his alien gun away disarming him in the process. With that done, Kiva quickly turned to both Jamie and Perseus before speaking to them.
"Jamie, Perseus, get her to Megas-"
Kiva didn't finish as when she looked behind her, the girl who was her ancestor was gone. Kiva then asked them both where the girl had run off to. A door nearby that was moving gave a clue.
"Jamie find-"
Once again, Kiva didn't finish speaking when she saw Jamie had run off like a coward like always. This frustrated both Kiva and Perseus greatly whom Kiva then spoke to Perseus.
"Perseus, find the girl and keep her safe!"
"I'm on it!" Perseus shouted as he left.
"Looks like with the exception of that freak Perseus have abandoned you Kiva!" Gorrath shouted.
Kiva then spoke, "Not much of a problem, they were only just slowing me down with the exception of Perseus for he's still good even if he's a pain due to his intellect."
While Kiva fought against Gorrath, Coop on the other hand was partying hard to the music oblivious to the action going on. Coop then smelled someone with Nachos and spoke up.
"Wasn't I supposed to get nachos?"
Coop shrugged and kept on parting as on the other hand, the girl being targeted by the Glorft was running. Perseus then came into the arena seconds later. He found the girl and followed closely behind.
On the other hand, Kiva managed to give Gorrath a can of ass-whooping. Gorrath tried to land a few punches, but Kiva managed to block them. Then, Kiva spoke to Gorrath.
"Is this how you're conquering worlds? Attacking and hunting down innocent, unarmed girls?"
Gorrath managed to intercept a strike by Kiva's metal pipe and glared harshly at her. Then, before Kiva could come up with a countermove to beat him, the Glorft alien spoke one word.
"Yes…"
The Glorft Warmaster threw Kiva aside that knocked her out of the fight for now. Walking over to her downed form, Gorrath glared at her. Suddenly, Gorrath got a call from his second-in-command.
"Sir! We're closing in on the girl!"
Gorrath the spoke, "Hold her! I want to do this myself!"
The Warmaster then left the area to kill the ancestor of Kiva. On the other hand, Perseus was getting frustrated with the girl. He kept trying to get her attention, but she kept telling him to buzz off.
Suddenly, the girl tripped as Perseus caught up to her to see if she was okay. He found she was okay, but also, he found where Jamie was hiding. Perseus glared at Jamie as he spoke up.
"Oh hi, I was just looking for Coop, you know my friend with the blue giant robot…"
The girl spoke up, "Uh, looks like to me you're hiding…"
"Thank you Captain Obvious for stating the obvious…" Perseus said.
"What me? Hiding? No way…" Jamie said with fear.
Perseus faced palmed and groaned in frustration at Jamie greatly. How and why Coop hung out with this guy is one mystery Perseus never understood it completely. The girl then spoke up.
"Um, hiding doesn't sound like a bad idea…"
"Fine, I was totally hiding," Jaime said in defeat.
The two looked at each other while Perseus just looked on with a slightly annoyed expression. Then, the mood came crashing down in the form of a camera man shouting at Jamie and the girl.
"Gotcha!"
Jamie shouted in fear while Perseus was giving the guy a stern look. Back on the concert floor, Goat and Tiny noticed Jaime with a girl on camera. The caption humorously read: "Victims of Love".
"Yo man, is that Jamie?" Tiny asked while giving a thumbs up.
"What?" Coop asked in confusion.
"Nah, that guy's with a girl," Goat said with a snark.
What the innocent cameraman didn't realize was that it gave the girl's position away to the Glorft. Seeing the girl and Jamie on the screens, the Glorft Commander pointed to where they were at and were on their tails.
Seeing the disguised Glorft getting to the current position, Perseus told the pair to run. During their climb up the stairs, Jamie tripped, but thankfully Perseus helped him back up quickly.
Just they reached the top of the stairs, a disguised Gorrath greeted them. Gorrath chuckled darkly at how he blocked off their escape route. Then, the Glorft Warmaster spoke darkly.
"She's mine…"
"NO, SHE'S NOT!"
The shout came from Kiva who managed to recover from her earlier fight and catch up quickly. Grabbing someone's nearby drink, Kiva quickly threw the contents of it at the disguised Gorrath.
It hit pay dirt as one thing the camo device the Glorft used had a serious drawback: it wasn't waterproof. The soda caused the device to short-circuit and show Gorrath's true form.
Gorrath's real, disgusting alien form was also broadcasted to everyone in the arena. Goat and Tiny were both confused at first as the rest of the concert goers. To them, it looked like it was part of the show.
"Don't I know that guy?" Goat asked in confusion.
"It's the Squid!" Coop shouted while pointing.
"What's that?" Tiny asked.
Coop then spoke, "I don't know, but those Squids aren't messing up my concert if Megas and I have something to say about it!"
Then suddenly, it dawned on Coop that he had one major problem: he was in the middle of the arena and Megas was outside in the parking lot. Coop then spoke up about the reality of his problem.
"As soon as I can get to Megas…"
While Coop was trying to figure out how to get to Megas to defeat the Glorft, on the other hand far away from him, the girl the Glorft were after spoke in fear and disgust at Gorrath's true form.
"What is that?!"
Gorrath merely laughed darkly despite the question. The girl then ran away with Kiva and Perseus after her. Gorrath stayed behind for a bit to yell at the Glorft Commander.
"A minor glitch?!"
While that was going on, Coop on the other hand was getting frustrated on how to get to Megas. After muttering his frustration out loud, suddenly he found himself being carried by the crowd. For Coop, he realized he was finally having his dream of crowd surfing happening.
Far away, Jamie saw Coop being carried by the crowd making him smile. Goat and Tiny also helped, but both muttered how Coop should lay off the nachos for a bit as Coop was finally being carried by the crowd even if it was to his robot.
"Rock on Coop! But hurry up and get Megas…" Jamie said calmly
While Coop was getting to his mech in record time, the girl the Glorft were after kept on running. Kiva and Perseus were both hot on her tail. After reaching the top of a flight of stairs quickly, the red head found herself outside of the venue in a part of the arena overlooking the parking lot.
Both Perseus and Kiva managed to catch up with the girl quickly. Perseus was a bit winded, but recovered quickly as Kiva saw the girl was scared and tried to calm her down by speaking to her.
"Please, I just want to help you!"
"Why should I trust you?"
Jamie then spoke, "Because we're not snot-colored green aliens with guns pointed at you…"
"Good point…"
Just as the girl spoke, a laser shot rang out as the rest of the Glorft showed up including Gorrath. The War monger chuckled darkly at cornering his prey at last. Pointing his gun at her, Gorrath then spoke darkly.
"I'm tired of your games Earthers! That girl and your future are HISTORY!"
Due to a glitch on his cloaking device from Kiva's actions earlier, Gorrath didn't hit the girl as he wanted to, but instead shot a spot near her. The ground started to crumble and collapsed.
Perseus ran and managed to catch her, but he was barely holding on to her. Gorrath, annoyed by this scene slapped away Kiva and Jamie, walked up to him and kicked the pair off the edge.
They didn't fall for very long as suddenly, Coop showed up as the girl fell into the passenger seat of his car safely. Perseus on the other hand, fell upside down in the back seat.
"Good thing I had the top down!" Coop shouted.
"Thanks for the save! Remind me not to get mad at you next time…" Perseus said while getting back up.
Back with Kiva and Jamie, both truly thought the girl and Perseus were gone. However, seconds later, Coop appeared right behind them causing them to smirk at the alien bastards. The lights from Megas also blinded the Glorft for a bit.
Gorrath was enraged by this and thus, he and the rest of the Glorft tried to shoot Kiva and Jamie. However, Coop managed to block the shots with the giant hands of Megas saving the duo.
While Kiva and Jamie were both brought to Megas, the Glorft kept firing before giving up. Gorrath was enraged beyond measure and thus, shouted at his second-in-command.
"Your plan has failed Commander! Now, we do it my way! BRING DOWN THE MECHS!"
While the Glorft geared up for the mech battle to come, Kiva and Jamie settled inside with Perseus between them both. While Jamie, Kiva and Perseus were thinking about the Glorft, Coop's mind was right now on nachos.
"I asked for nachos, and you bring me this girl and the Glorft?" Coop asked in confusion.
"We have to keep her safe or the whole timeline will be compromised!" Kiva shouted.
"Yeah, Kiva may never be born, and we'll never get Megas along with the other three in short order…" Jamie said in fear.
Coop was a bit boggled at first, but understood what was at stake: without Kiva, he'd never get Megas and never meet Perseus or his family. Then after focusing and getting his mind in order a bit, Coop spoke up.
"Okay then, everyone including you girl better buckle up as things get messy when the green aliens show up…"
The girl spoke up, "Yeah, no kidding…"
After getting the car top raised back up, Coop got Megas ready for a battle with the Glorft. Sure enough, seconds later, the Glorft came back with their signature mechs for a fight with Megas.
"Decimate this place…" Gorrath said with malice.
"Alright you squid-faced losers! You crash my concert, prevent me from getting fake cheese nachos and target this innocent girl who has done nothing to you! Just so you can prevent Kiva from being born and…me not getting my…robot. Um, can anyone explain to me and…ah forget it!" Coop said.
Coop then charged forward into battle. Grabbing one mech, Coop was about to throw it before pausing for a quick bit, then tossing it onto a lot of Muscle cars. The mech blew up as Coop slammed into another one giving it a 1-800-get-an-ass-kicking.
While Gorrath watched in rage, Coop just kept on kicking ass by smashing Glorft after Glorft that got in his path. Inside the concert venue, the people were cheering at the carnage Coop was unleashing via the giant tv screens playing the battle outside.
One mech even hit the building itself, but thankfully, it held up due to its construction. Eventually, Gorrath had enough of Coop's mayhem and destruction deciding to fight himself.
"The only thing that you Earthers think you can understand is a display of brutal force! From now on, I'm doing things my way!" Gorrath shouted.
"Oh yeah? The loser way? I'm game!" Coop shouted back in confidence.
Perseus on the other hand just sat back in silence. Then, both Coop and Gorrath charged forward in their duel. Both charged and hit each other, but Coop hit harder and Gorrath was sent flying backwards to a train yard.
Gorrath got back up and grabbed a freight train hooked up to several feright cars. Using it like a whip, Gorrath smashed it against Coop sending the heroes backwards. The Glorft War monger chuckled darkly at thinking he won, but Coop got back up and kicked Gorrath's mech hard. Coop the followed up by firing three missiles at Gorrath.
The first two hit Gorrath at his mech's knees defeating him for now. The third missile on the other hand, hit a Pop TV ad, a Bachelor TV show ad, and a CNN ad at the top of the concert venue.
Everyone in the venue was confused at first, but then cheered at the destruction for some reason. Outside, Coop thought the fight was over, until Gorrath called for backup.
"Destroy him…"
More Glorft mechs descended and a couple grappled Coop's mech. Eventually, more and more Glorft mechs dog pilled him prompting the girl in the passenger seat to speak up in fear.
"You call this protection?"
Perseus then spoke, "Trust me, this isn't Coop's first rodeo with these clowns…"
"Yeah! They want a mash pit, they'll get one!" Coop shouted.
Coop then revved up the engines and Megas broke free of the Glorft while Coop roared. Inside, the concert kept on going as if nothing was wrong. Back outside, Coop kept on whooping Glorft like no tomorrow while headbanging to the music.
Then, Coop had Megas get on top of the concert venue, look down on the Glorft mechs still standing, flew straight up into the air much to the girl's shock and then, shouted one thing.
"ROCK ON!"
Megas then flew back down using a body slam maneuver. This caused many Glorft mechs to blow up from the sheer force of Coop's massive impact. Nearby, a kid watched the spectacle before muttering how cool it was to him.
The remaining Glorft on the other hand realized this wasn't going well. Even with just one Megas mech, they were still losing like always. Seething in rage, Gorrath had no choice, but to retreat for now as he then spoke to his men.
"All units retreat! You'll pay for this commander!"
Gorrath then turned his attention to Coop who was sitting pretty at kicking his can again. Gorrath couldn't figure out how even just Coop alone with one mech could beat him again and again.
"And as for you Earther, I don't know how and why you keep evading me! But rest assured it won't happen again!" Gorrath shouted in rage.
"Yeah, heard it! Now, get out of my town!" Coop shouted in determination.
"Next time, I'll have my mech and give you a can off butt kicking with Coop!" Perseus shouted seconds later.
The Glorft then hastily retreated while a few Glorft mechs exploded in the sky from the battle earlier. Coop smiling at his latest triumph against the Glorft, turned to Kiva and spoke to her.
"See? I told you we would get lots of combat practice."
Afterwards, the concert soon ended, and people started to go home. Though some had their rides wrecked, they didn't care as they had each other to get new rides and have fun.
While Jamie and Coop were off doing their own things, Perseus just stood alone outside looking out to the horizon in deep thought. Kiva on the other hand, spent time talking to the girl the Glorft were after.
"You know, I never spent much time with my family in the future."
"Too busy fighting to save Humanity?"
"Something like that…so do you want to spend some time together?"
The girl looked at Kiva as if she was beyond nuts. For her, being nearly killed by the Glorft and then, riding along in Megas to witness how Coop handles them was too much for her. The girl then spoke up.
"Are you crazy? Aliens, Giant Robots? No, way I'm staying here as your friends are freaks! Perseus is okay though. I'm moving back to my family in Brooklyn New York where it's safe! By the way, I'm Ally Urich and thanks for saving me."
The girl known now as Ally left as Kiva sat alone by herself. Perseus came back inside to see Kiva sitting alone now as the girl left the area along with Jamie who looked a bit sad.
"It's better this way Jaime…"
Jamie looked at Perseus with a sad look but cheered up at the fact that this one chick would be okay from the wrath of the Glorft. Due to that, the timeline would be stable for now.
"Eh, I guess you're right on this one…" Jamie said softly.
As they were leaving, Perseus knew that with that chick moving away, Kiva's future was assured. Eventually, the group stopped by Coop's home to unwind. While Coop and Tiny were playing a racing game, Kiva, Jamie, Goat and Perseus were just watching them. Eventually, Jamie then spoke up about something.
"Hey Kiva, if Ally and I had gotten together, I could've been your great, great, great grandfather or something…"
"Ugh, gross man…" Goat said while wincing.
"Now that's a disturbing thought…" Tiny said nearby.
Kiva then spoke, "Please Jamie, this day has been disturbing enough as it is."
"Okay I got now, Gorrath was trying to change the past which is the present right? Oh wait, I think-"
"Forget it Coop, as long as Gorrath's plan was stopped, that's all that matters…" Kiva said.
"Rock on! Oh, by the way, did you guys get me those nachos?" Coop asked.
Perseus just sat back and decided to talk a quick nap. Suddenly, he started to trash around muttering stuff incoherently before he woke up. Everyone looked at him with concern.
"Dude, you okay?" Goat asked.
"I think it was a flashback from Iraq or something. I'm fine…" Perseus said calmly.
Up in Null Space, after Gorrath had his fun with his second in command which was beating the crap out of him, a Glorft came up to Gorrath with something important. Gorrath was not happy about it and shouted in anger.
"WHAT IS IT?!"
The underling simply handed Gorrath a data pad and upon looking at it, Gorrath's eyes went wide. Gorrath first could not believe it, but then understood as spoke in shock.
"HOW!? Last I heard of him, his race was on the run in the future with him crippled by my hands!"
Looking further, Gorrath saw some Earth Tabloids and some conspiracy theories gained from hacking the Internet of Earth. All of them spoke of a creature that was born in 1007 AD, but was rumored to have been around for centuries vanishing in 1982 AD.
The creature allegedly served in multiple wars like the Crusades, William Wallace's Rebellion against the English, the American Revolution, the American Civil War, World War 1, World War 2, Korea War, Vietnam War and the Cold War.
"I wanted data, not some fictional story cobbled together from some rumors!" Gorrath shouted while glaring at his men.
Gorrath's second in command pointed to a set of images. Upon looking at them, the leader of the Glorft military noticed something odd, the eyes. The same as Perseus in the present.
"Fine, I'll let this small side project go ahead, but if it doesn't yield something I can use to take out those Earthers, you and my second-in-command will suffer!" Gorrath shouted.
The underling nodded a bit fearfully and left. Looking outwards to Null Space, Gorrath stroked his face tentacles in deep thought before walking away to plan new ways to defeat the Megas team.
A/N: I'm so very sorry that this took two years to finally see the light of day again. It took some time to make a chapter where it was close to the original episode without plagiarizing it.
Don't worry, Perseus will get his mech back in the next chapter, but it'll be a bit funny. I've been sidetracked by a lot of things: job at Thrifty White, being laid off from Thrifty White due to downsizing, new job at Boston Scientific, the COVID-19 Pandemic, Lockdowns (which are total BS if you ask me), the 2020 Elections, the chaos of the aftermath of said election (RIGGED BY THE WAY!) and the train wreck known as Biden.
I've also been playing Azur Lane lately and seeing my sister get married and having a more, full reception a year after she got married. I'll try not to take as long as last time. I threw in Action Park for fun as there is an episode by Defunctland on the park. There is also Class Action Park a HBO Max Documentary for more information.
