It was a warm summer evening in the Dark Land Kingdom. All of King Bowsers Minions were all working outside the castle, as usual, preparing for another attack on the Mushroom Kingdom to kidnap Princess Peach and defeat the Mario Brothers. In his Throne Room, King Bowser Koopa Sr. was sitting on his giant Throne, talking to someone on the phone. While he continued chatting away on his smartphone, he saw his only biological son, Prince Bowser Koopa Junior, playing with his good magenta skinned, two-fanged tooth friend, Pom-Pom who were, coloring together on the floor with papers scattered around the Throne Room carpet, some were still plain with nothing on them, while others were drawn with crayons that were stacked on the floor. While Bowser was continuing to talk to whoever was on the other end of the phone, Bowser Junior, showed a drawing he finished to Pom-Pom.
"Pom-Pom, look what I made!" He said excitedly as he held the sheet of colored paper in both his hands, eager to show Pom-Pom what he made.
As she was finishing a drawing of her own, she looked up to see the Koopa Prince's drawing. The drawing Junior made was a picture of him and Pom-Pom riding in his Koopa Clown Car, smiling as they flew around Dark Land with Junior's Magic Art Wand making a colorful rainbow in the sky.
"Wow Junior! That looks awesome! You're good at drawing." She said with a smile on her two-fanged face and holding a blue crayon.
"Thanks! I'm getting better and better at drawing each day!" The young Prince said as he turned the paper around and looked at his drawing with joy in his eyes.
As the two four-year-old Koopas continued talking about their drawings, Bowser was just about to hang up the phone with the person he was talking to. Before he could, he set off a reminder that caught Junior's attention.
"Ok, so today at 3:45 P.M.? Bring the boys? Ok. Thank you. Bye." Bowser said after finally ending the call.
This made the young Prince raise an eyebrow and cock his head to the side in curiosity. He was now beginning to wonder who his Father was talking to, and more importantly what they were talking about.
"What do you think my Dad is talking about?" Junior asked, looking at Pom-Pom lying on the ground.
"What do you mean, Junior?" Pom-Pom asked while stopping herself from coloring to look at Junior.
"Who was my Dad talking to, and what do you think he meant by, "Bring the Boys at 3:45 P.M.?" He wondered, scratching his ponytailed red hair.
Pom-Pom then looked at the giant round clock on top of Bowser's Throne to read 2:30 P.M.
"Hmm, I'm not sure, maybe Lord Bowser has to be somewhere with you and your brothers." She suggested. "But why isn't your sister coming?" She questioned while putting a yellow crayon on her mouth with a marveled look on her face.
"That is a good point." Junior agreed.
As Junior continued to ponder on what his Dad would do with either him and his other brothers or just his other brothers in general and not his only sister; a thought clicked in Pom-Pom's head that made her remember something.
"Hey! Come to think of it. I have somewhere to go at 3:45 P.M. today." Pom-Pom said in realization.
"You do?" Junior said, widening his eyes in surprise.
"Yeah! I'm going to the doctor today for something. My Mom and Dad didn't tell me what it was, but my older brother Boom-Boom is going to take me there today at 3:45 P.M." She explained as she was about to finish her drawing.
"Are you going in for a checkup?" Junior asked while raising an eyebrow.
"I think so." Pom-Pom thought as she finally finished her drawing. "You wanna see what I drew Junior?" She asked, propping herself up from her belly to her knees to show her drawing.
"Sure!" Junior said excitedly, eager to see what Pom-Pom drew.
Pom-Pom's picture showed a simple drawing of her and Bowser Junior outside on a sunny day and smiling.
"I know it's a bit unfinished, but maybe later we can fix it to make it more unique," Pom-Pom said while showing an embarrassed smile on her face.
"It's ok, I still like it, practice makes progress," Junior said, while happily giving his friend a thumbs up.
As they continued talking about their drawings, they both heard the sound of loud, earthquake-like footsteps coming from the end of the Throne Room. It was King Bowser getting up from his Throne and coming toward the two young Koopas. However, Junior noticed something was a little off about his Dad. Bowser was looking a little nervous. Instead of either being happy to see his children, or furiously angry if something was not going his way, his expression looked concerned. Both Junior and Pom-Pom were quick to notice Bowser's off behavior as he came up to them.
"Hey, Son, watcha doing?" Bowser asked while trying to hide the fact he was worried about talking to his son.
"Oh, Pom-Pom and I were drawing some pictures!" Junior said while showing his Dad what he drew.
"That's exciting Junior. Is it ok if I talk to you for a minute?" The Koopa King asked while fiddling his claws.
"Sure Dad. What is it?" Junior said, tilting his head.
As Bowser and Bowser Junior were about to talk, Pom-Pom began propping herself up from her feet and began to pick up the papers she drew with Junior so they wouldn't get stepped on.
"I'm taking you, and your brother Larry and Morton somewhere today," Bowser said while trying to keep his tone calm.
Really?" Junior asked as he widened his eyes in surprise. "Where are we-" Junior was about to ask, before hearing a knock at the end of the Throne Room Door.
All of the Koopa's looked at the door, waiting for a response from whoever knocked on it.
"Lord Bowser!" A voice said. "Lord Bowser! Pom-Pom's Brother is here to pick her up." The voice continued.
"Ok, she's coming right now, thank you!" Bowser yelled.
Pom-Pom finally got all the papers she drew and started making her way out the door.
"Bye Junior! Bye Lord Bowser! I'll see you next time." She said exiting the door, waving them both goodbye.
"Later Pom-Pom," Junior said, waving happily.
"See you around kid!" Bowser said while also waving goodbye.
She exited the door, and the Koopas on the other end closed the doors, leaving only Bowser and his Son in the Throne room.
"Don't worry Junior, you'll see what you and your brothers are going to be doing today. Just go find Morton and Larry and tell them they're going." Bowser said while trying to make it look like he wasn't hiding something from Junior.
"Ok Dad, I'll go find them and tell them," Junior said as he began exiting the Throne Room.
As Junior was about to open the door, he didn't notice that the two green-shelled Koopas were still on the other side of the door. As the door suddenly swung open, it accidentally slammed onto the two Koopas, making them flat as pancakes, followed by two muffled screams.
"What was that?" Junior questioned from hearing the strange noises.
"That was us, Young Master…" One of the Koopa's said in pain as its head began to spiral.
"Oops...Sorry…" Junior apologized.
As Junior left to go find the other Koopalings, back in the Throne room, Bowser sat back down on his Throne with a big sad sigh.
"I hope Koopa Shot Day goes alright…" Bowser said worriedly while looking at the ground.
