Now, with the Airship in the middle of the clear blue sky, King Bowser, along with his three sons Larry, Morton, and Bowser Junior were on their way to the Nintendo Children's Hospital. All three boys were sitting down on the airship seats with their seatbelts on. Morton was looking at the sky, through the Airship window, while Larry was folding his arms up in the back of his head with his eyes closed. However, only one had the logical conclusion they were going to the Doctor. Bowser Junior couldn't stop thinking about what the Koopalings said about going to the doctor to get a needle poked in his arm after what they all said about it.
"What if the Koopalings are right, what if we are going to the doctor? What if I'm the only one getting a shot, while Morton and Larry get a checkup? What if the needle is BIG?" Junior nervously thought to himself as he fidgeted his painted bandana in distress.
As Junior continued to fidget in fear, Bowser turned to look at all three of his sons, thinking that they were all oblivious to what was going on. As Bowser looked on, he gave an exhausted sigh, furrowing his brows. It didn't take long for one of Bowser's minions to notice their King's peculiar behavior.
"Is there something troubling you, Your Awfulness?" A green-shelled Hammer Bro asked as he was flying the airship.
"Oh, it's nothing Hammer Bro. Just stressed, as all." Bowser said, scratching his spiky red hair.
"Are you worried about their Doctor's appointment sir? They do need to stay strong and healthy." Hammer Bro said while looking at his King.
"I know, I know. I'm just nervous about the aftermath of it." Bowser exclaimed with a still concerned look on his dragon-like face.
"I understand your panic Your Awfulness. I have 2 children of my own, and I worry about their visits to the doctor as well." Hammer Bro said, looking at the clear sky from the airship.
"Yeah, but I'm still anxious about it," Bowser said, crossing his arms.
"Don't worry Lord Bowser. Just as long as your family is healthy. It will be just fine." Hammer Bro said while stirring the airship wheel.
"Yeah. You're right." Bowser said, while still being nervous but gave a small smile from Hammer Bros' consent.
All of a sudden, everyone that was riding on the Airship felt a light push of air. The airship came to a complete stop, as it began to make a landing on the parking lot of a tall white building.
"Alright, we're here Your Awfulness." A Goomba said, turning to Bowser.
The large wooden Airship came to a complete landing and the wooden drawbridge doors began to lower down to the street ground. It was at this time, the three Koopa Princes began to unbuckle their seatbelts and get out of their seats.
"Ok boys, let's go." Said Bowser getting out of the Airship.
The wooden door finally lowered down, and all of the boys came out to the parking lot. It was at this time Bowser Junior began to look up to see their destination. What he saw almost made his heart skip a beat. Looking at the tall, large white building, there was a giant red plus sign on top of a whole building with a large green 1-up mushroom on top of the roof of the building. This made Junior uneasily realize that they were in fact… At The Nintendo Children's Hospital. Looking at the giant plus sign made Junior become frozen with utter terror and slightly sweating with fear as he could only imagine in his mind a gigantic needle forming from the building. Suddenly, Junior felt a large arm wrapping around him from his side. Morton was quick to notice his younger brother's distressed behavior and proceeded to calm him down.
"It ok, Brother Junior. Morton and Brothers just here for Check-Up." Morton said as he rubbed his little brother's shoulder.
It was at this time Larry had another opportunity to torment Junior once again.
"You mean. "WE'RE" the one's getting a good old fashion check-up, while Junior gets JABBED by a good old GIANT NEEDLE!" Larry said as he wrapped his arm around Junior's shoulder with a menacing smile.
This made Junior quickly flinch with more fear as he looked at Larry's large grinning smile. Upon hearing this, both Morton and Bowser were very displeased and annoyed with Larry's behavior.
"LARRY CHEATSY KOOPA! That's enough Son! Get in the building! NOW!" Bowser demanded with an angered face, pointing to the hospital doors.
"Ok, Dad….jeez..." Larry said, rolling his eyes and following his brothers.
They all made their way through the hospital door and made their way to the waiting room. There, at the waiting room; were other parents with their children as the parents were sitting down on chairs and their children were either playing with toys that were in a small toy box, reading the books that were on a small bookshelf, or sitting next to their parents looking around. Through all the other people in the waiting room, Junior spotted a few familiar faces waiting as well. It was Pom-Pom and her older hulking brother Boom-Boom. Pom-Pom was coloring with the sheets of paper that she and Bowser Junior were doing earlier on one of the tables in the waiting room. Her orange bald brother Boom-Boom was sitting on the chair playing games and texting on his smartphone. It didn't take the magenta-skinned Koopa long to realize Junior and the others entering the waiting room.
"Pom-Pom?! What are you doing here?" Junior asked as his black button eyes grew in surprise and he came by where his yellow-haired friend was.
"Hi there Junior! Boom-Boom and I are here for our 3:45 PM doctor's appointment. What are you and your brothers doing here?" Pom-Pom asked, looking just as surprised as Junior.
"We're here for an appointment at 3:45 PM as well, Kiddo," Bowser answered, patting Pom-Pom on the head, greeting himself to her.
"Hello Lord Bowser! I didn't know you went to the same doctor Boom-Boom and I went to." Pom-Pom said in amazement.
"I didn't know either," Junior said, looking in the waiting room where the other kids were.
"Well, I'll be back, kids. I have to fill out some paperwork from the receptionist desk." The Koopa King said while beginning to walk toward the office lady's desk.
"O-ok Dad…" Junior said while giving a fake smile as he tried to hide the fact he knew why he was there.
As their father went to the front desk, Morton sat next to Boom-Boom, while Larry went to play with the toys in the toy box.
"So why Boom-Boom and Boom-Boom sister here?" Morton asked Boom-Boom while he was texting on his phone.
"Oh. Pom-Pom and I are here for a checkup and our Koopa Shots today for the year." Boom-Boom answered, looking at Morton. "What about you guys?" Boom-Boom asked.
"Morton and Brothers not sure. Maybe Morton and Brothers here for check-up too." Morton suggested scratching his 3 haired head.
"You mean. "WE'RE" the ones getting a Checkup, while "SOMEONE" is getting JABBED with a GIANT NEEDLE." Larry teased while glaring at Junior and playing with a toy car.
Upon hearing what the blue-haired Koopa said, all the other children in the waiting room gave a huge gasp of horror as they all widened their eyes and all began crying and screaming in pure terror. There were a few who tried running away from the waiting room, some hiding from under the chairs and toy box, and even one child attempting to jump out the 1st-floor window and run out the street. All the children's parents gave an annoyed sigh, as they all attempted to calm their kids down, and stop them from getting hurt. From this moment, Junior was about to begin crying as well as the other children that continued panicking.
"I don't wanna get a shot… I just wanna run away and hide, but I know I'll be in big trouble if I try… I'm doomed…" Junior thought in his head as he could feel a tear about to form in his eye.
Pom-Pom gave a small frown as she knew her friend was terrified, thinking he was getting a shot. Even if he was, it was understandable that he was scared.
"It's ok, Junior. I'm getting a shot too, and I'm a little scared about it, so even if you are getting a shot, just know that I'm nervous with you." Pom-Pom said while rubbing Junior's spiky shell.
Junior wished that he could smile from his magenta scaled friends' comforting words, but was unable to, due to only imagining how big, scary, and painful the shot will be. Bowser came back from the receptionist desk and sat down next to Morton as he was now reading a magazine from the waiting room bookshelf. Upon coming, Bowser saw all of the other children that were originally quiet and calm when they first arrived, were now screaming and panicking, along with noticing the now broken window in the room.
"What the shell happened here?" Bowser asked, looking at the utter chaos going on in the waiting room.
"Brother Larry cause trouble…" Morton said with an annoyed expression while looking at the magazine.
"Of course…" Bowser sighed in exhaustion.
Now, they all waited for their turn to be called. Even though the clock in the waiting room said it was only 3:35 PM, and they were only there for about 5 minutes, it felt like an eternity for Junior as he saw some children being called up for their checkups. Junior could only hear the frantic ticking of the clock and his heart beating from each time the clock handles moved, all other noises were blocked off. As the other doctors started calling random kids names, some began crying, begging, and screaming as they were about to face a terrifying giant needle being stabbed in their arms. Junior could only watch in horror as to how big and painful the needle would be, once it would soon be forcefully pierced in his arm. He then proceeded to curl his cuffed arms around his shoulder as if he just wanted to hide inside his shell and completely disappear from the doctors. Bowser now realized, Junior knew exactly what was going on today.
"Oh no… he knows about the Shot…" Bowser realized in his head.
After 5 long brutal minutes of waiting, Junior's heart began to beat faster as he heard an echoing noise that made his life flash before his eyes.
"King Bowser! Your Sons can come in now. The doctors will see them." A Toadette doctor said in the entrance to the doctor's office.
"Ok boys… let's go…" Bowser said with a sad sigh as the inevitable was about to happen.
Morton and Larry prop themselves up and began to follow their father inside the doctor's office. Junior was only frozen in fear like an ice sculpture, he could not move his legs from his family being called over. Bowser then calmly picked up his son who was only speechless and blinked at his father.
"Come on Son… it's time to see the doctor…" Bowser said while being choked up with utter distraught, holding his son.
They all began to walk into the doctor's office and Junior was prepared for the inescapable, he then looked back at Pom-Pom, who was still coloring, and gave a slow wave goodbye to her as he felt like he just wanted to start crying with fear. Larry gave an evil grin, as he just wanted to see Junior get jabbed with a needle.
