School had just finished, and Artemis and Cameron were walking back to the Whitmore-Dugan residence.
"We're home," Artemis said as she entered the house, to see Barbara cooking in the kitchen while Mike was in the living room, doing school work.
"Sup Art," Mike said.
"Nothing much," Artemis shrugged. "How is Court?" asked the brunette worried.
"She is… fine… just resting in her room now," Mike said as he wrote.
"I will go and check on her," Cameron said as he walked up the stairs.
'Wait… Cam… Are you sure-" Artemis was about to ask but the boy was already walking up the stairs. The brunette sighed before walking into the kitchen, towards the older blonde. "So… What are you cooking?" asked the girl.
"The usual for dinner," Barbara shrugged as she looked at the stove.
"You need some help?" asked Artemis curiously.
"Ah… no thanks… You should focus on your school work and stuff," the older blonde said.
"Are you sure? I have nothing much to do, really," Artemis revealed.
"Oh well, I guess you could help me wash the vegetables," Barbara said.
'Sure," Artemis said smiling as she walks towards the sink, seeing the vegetables already in there.
Meanwhile, Alex was in Yolanda's room again, consoling her after that troubling nightmare. "Look, it's alright ok? It is just a dream… Don't let it get to you," Alex assured as Yolanda leaned against him.
"I know… it felt… so real… as if it was actually happening… Yet… the worst thing is… I don't remember this happening to me before," Yolanda sighed weakly. "When will this end? When… I can't… I can't comprehend this anymore…"
"Look, you need more rest… don't force yourself back on school work yet... '' Alex advised sighing.
"Alex… what if… that nightmare… is something from my subconscious… what if… I… actually like this… What if I'm a freak?" asked Yolanda shakily as tears leaked from her eyes.
"Landa, Cindy just messed with your head really bad… I know… I saw it all," Alex closed his eyes as he tried to shake off the messed up scene of the vile reptilian assaulting his sister in front of her that was forming in his head once more.
"I- I'm sorry… That you have to see that…" Yolanda apologized tearfully as she remembered it was well. Cindy forced her to face her poor brother as she passionately raped her.
Alex sighed. His sister has been through this process countless times. He too wondered if any of them would ever fully recover from this trauma.
Cameron knocked on the door of Courtney, waiting for her permission to go in. After a short while of waiting, she heard a faint voice. "Come in."
The boy opened the door and walked into Courtney's room, closing the door behind him. The blonde was sitting on her study chair, looking out the window blankly. 'Court… I heard what happened, are you… alright?" asked Cameron worried as he saw one of her hands, bandaged.
"I'm fine… just a cut," Courtney shrugged weakly as she continued looking out of the window.
"I… see… What are you looking at?" asked Cameron curiously as he looked out the window with Courtney as well.
"Just well… trying to clear my mind," Courtney mumbled, still not looking at the boy. "Why are you here?" asked Courtney.
"Well, I… was worried about you," Cameron said as he looked around her room.
"No… you are here because of something else," Courtney pointed out. She could tell from the boy's tone that things weren't just that simple.
Artemis had observed the conflict between her ex-boyfriend and her stepsister, somewhat indirectly; and she was somewhat worried that Courtney would blow it and lose such a fine guy as him- so she began to approach Cameron, intending the whole time to keep him with Courtney, either as Court's sister-in-law, or future one, or Court's future husband… but she knew from her quarterbacking time in football that things tended to blow up all out of proportion if you weren't careful. And that's different by far. On a side note, she remembered a television show she'd stumbled upon once involving a young British lady who herself played tackle football of the American variety. The show was named "House of Anubis" and the gal she'd befriended in her imagination was named Patricia Williamson.
Artemis was trying to be Courtney's "wingwoman" and to ensure that Cameron stayed with her, but she wondered even if Courtney was able to go through with it in her fragile psychoemotional state, due to the mess her own mom had made of Courtney's head. Artemis never had hated her mom before now, but now she was filled with true hatred for her biological mom for what she'd done to her own stepsister! Almost without registering it, tears began to fall from her own eyes as she helped her new mom to wash the vegetables for dinner.
Barbara remembered her own teenage years, and the desire to handle one's own problems, but also her instincts as a mom told her to address this issue "Honey; what's wrong?" she asked Artemis, who was clearly distraught.
"I hate that bitch! There's never any excuse for a grown woman to rape a teen girl, good golly, "Mom", what're you *thinking*?!" Artemis exploded, slamming down the palm of her empty right hand.
Initially, Barbara was shocked, and then she figured out that Artemis was responding to how her own biological mom had acted up… "Yeah, your mom really acted up, believe me, I know." Barbara said quietly as she shut down the cooking for the time being and held Artemis in her arms to comfort the teen girl athlete over the suffering of her new family. She marveled at how loving Artemis was turning out to be, a solid young lady was developing in her as far as character goes, and it filled Barbara with pride in her stepdaughter's development… she was pleased with this particular child's development in almost all areas.
Meanwhile, Courtney just looked at Cameron as the boy stood in front of her. "Look… I really never got the chance to apologize to you," Cameron sighed as he looked down onto the floor before looking at the young blonde.
"Cameron… Cam… None of this is really your fault…" Courtney sighed as she looked down on the floor.
"Is there anything… What Can I do to make it up for you?" asked Cameron not really hearing Courtney as the blonde turned to face the window, walking closer towards her and then placing his hands on Courtney's shoulder, shocking her a bit, surprising but pleasant.
"Cameron… I really don't know what could you do," Courtney sighed smilingly.
"Well… maybe like the old days, you know? You and me," Cameron said as his hands travelled down Courtney's body. He thought that he would make Courtney feel relaxed, but instead, he was gravely wrong.
The first clue that this was freaking Courtney out was that the girl started to freeze up and breathe really shallow and scared… quietly she began to cry "Why would this bother me? It shouldn't bother me at all." the blonde girl quietly cried.
"Court? Court? Is something wrong?" asked Cameron worried, his hands still on her as the blonde trembled. He didn't get the sign that he should stop what he was doing, his hands were still on her, massaging her a little.
"No… No…" Courtney mumbled in terror as it was all coming back to her again. The memories are coming back, the scenes were replaying in her head again.
"Well, look at you, cute blondie, Mmm~ Aren't you a tight one?" Sportsmaster's gleeful voice rang inside Courtney's head as she trembled.
"A cute one too," a female's voice, Tigress's voice answered. "Not to mention a very loud one as well~"
"No… No… Stop! STOP!" Courtney screamed, jumping out of Cameron's grasp and knocking herself against the side of the desk before stumbling onto the floor, sobbing, leaving the brunette clueless at what to do.
Despite Artemis being downstairs, she heard a thump from above, fearing the worst, she rushed upstairs and into Courtney's room, knocking on the door. She could hear soft sounds of sobbing inside, she quickly opened the door, rushing into the room to see Courtney on the floor with Cameron standing in front of her, lost at what to do.
Artemis was about to break the two of them apart, or to yell at him for frightening her stepsister, and she was worried. That was, of course, after Artemis had calmed down from her own upsetness that Barbara had helped her to get out of. "Cameron… leave her to me," Artemis said as calmly as possible. "I will talk to you later," Artemis whispered glaringly as the boy walked past her, shocked by what just happened. Artemis closed the door, leaving Cameron outside the room, thinking hard about how it all went wrong.
Courtney didn't want to go back there in her mind and heart and emotions; she knew it was ridiculous; she was hanging out with her boyfriend and family, not in the presence of her rapists, but her mental defense mechanisms, as her doctor had informed her about this trauma she'd endured, had thrown her back into that traumatic situation. Courtney just sat down on the floor and cried, letting Artemis take her in her arms once more.
In a dark room, sounds of humming could be heard, sitting on a chair in front of a big screen, looking through the video footage of a familiar scene in a bed room with a certain Latina, sounds of the girl's screams echoed throughout the dark room as a loud cackle accompanied it.
"Ohh~ Yolanda~ Dear Yolanda~ Did you really think that you and your friends would be able to escape from me forever?" asked the feminine voice chucklingly. "I had so much more planned for you, my dear, and you will be surprised with what I have planned." The girl chuckled as she clicked on the mouse and closed the window, revealing a screen filled with photos of her former captives forced despicable acts.
