Although the noises inside the doctor's office hallway were; other doctors talking, phones ringing, and other patients finishing with their appointments, all Bowser Junior could hear was his loud sporadic heart beating faster from every step his father took while carrying him in his arms. As King Bowser carried Junior, his two other sons were following behind him to find one of the doctors. It was at this time Junior was about to face what he thought was death itself, as he saw one of the doctors turn around while holding a clipboard and was waiting for their arrival.

"Hello, King-a Bowser! How are you today?" Doctor Mario said with a big smile while holding his clipboard.

"We're doing good, Doctor Mario. We're here for our 3:45 PM appointment." Bowser said as he put Junior down on the white floor.

"Excellent. So each of your-a kids will have their assigned-a Doctors for their Checkup. Right, King-a Bowser?" Doctor Mario asked while looking at his clipboard.

"Right…" Bowser said, while sadly looking at his sons.

"Alright. So, Prince-a Morton will have-a Doctor Rosalina. Prince-a Larry will have-a Me. Then finally, Prince-a Bowser Junior will have-a Doctor Peach. Is that correct?" Doctor Mario recalled, flipping through the papers on his clipboard.

"That's right," Bowser said, gritting his teeth with a nervous smile.

"Well, the other doctors are-a waiting for you, Prince-a Morton and Bowser Junior. Prince-a Larry, follow me." Doctor Mario said while pointing at the patient's room.

The sky-blue-haired Koopa began to follow the Mario doctor lookalike to his patient room, but not before deciding to secretly scare his little brother one last time before entering.

"Bye Junior! Good luck getting JABBED!" Larry whispered in Junior's ear with a mischievous grin on his 2 fanged face.

This made Junior once again become frozen with fear, as he felt like not even going towards his patient room where Doctor Peach was waiting for him. This made Bowser even more anxious and worried about his son's behavior since the doctors told him that he couldn't be in the room with his son this time to comfort him.

"Well… go on boys… I'll be waiting for you back in the waiting room…" Bowser sadly said standing between his sons.

"Ok Dad, Morton will be back from Doctor lady. Good luck, Brother Junior." Morton said while waving to the others and making his way into Doctor Rosalina's room.

Junior, however, could not move from his spot like how he was in the waiting room, he was too scared and stiff like a statue to even move his legs. All he could do was stare at the door in fear, feeling like it was his final destination. It was at this time, one of the doctors now exited their room to look for their patient.

"Prince Bowser Junior! Where are you?" A female doctor's voice said in the distance.

Although the voice sounded soft and friendly, Junior only stood still, as he saw a female doctor walking towards him. Doctor Peach with her Pink doctor's coat and white heels came out of the patient room and came to Junior, squatted down to his point of view, and welcomed him.

"Hello, Prince Junior. Are you here for your appointment with me?" The Pink doctor asked while giving Junior a small smile.

"He sure is, Doctor Peach," Bowser answered, looking down at Junior.

"Well, take my hand, and we'll go right into my office for your checkup." She said while putting her hand out for Junior to take it.

Junior could only stare at the blond-haired doctor's hand and the quiet room in fear as he was now imagining him getting multiple giant needles stabbed in more places than his arm. He turned to look at his dad, who only gave a sad shake on his head, like he was saying to him, "I'm sorry, son. You have to go in there." Junior knew he couldn't run away now. So with his hand shaking like he was holding a giant block of ice, he took the doctor's hand, and they both began to make their way inside her patient room.

"Right this way Junior." Doctor Peach cheerfully said while holding Junior's hand and coming inside her patient room.

The door closed behind them and Bowser Junior was now all alone with no one else, but Doctor Peach with the examination table, weight scale, height meter, and her other doctor supplies.

"Just sit down over here, and we'll get started." The Pink Doctor said while pointing at the examination table.

The Koopa Prince climbed up on the table and sat down on the white paper from it. Bowser Junior then sporadically began to look around the office to see where the giant needle was. As Doctor Peach began to set things up from her office desk, she pulled out; a popsicle stick, a clear bottle with some clear medicine in it, a small-sized tube with something moving around in it, and finally a pair of white gloves and mask.

"Ok, Junior. First let me take a look at your heart, breathing, eyes, ears, weight, and height, and then I'll give you a special surprise." She said with a small smile while holding her stethoscope.

"Ok…" Junior said while shifting his eyes to the side.

Using her stethoscope, she listened to Junior's fast-beating heart and stuttering breathing. It was at this moment she knew that her patient was scared about his shot. Luckily, the doctor had a technique that always worked on her children patients getting shots. After that, she used her otoscope to take a look at both Junior's black eyes and ears.

"Ok Junior, now say "aah," she said, holding the popsicle stick

Junior then opened his jowls and stuck out his tongue to show his throat to her. After doing this, she took out her clipboard and wrote her results on a sheet of examination paper. The check-up almost felt like an eternity, as Junior was now being scaled for his weight and height, which read he was 68.2 pounds and was 3'10. He was only thinking about when he was going to get violently jabbed, so this nightmare could be over soon. After finished writing down her results, Junior climbed back on the examination table.

"Ok, Junior. Now, here's something that you REALLY need." Doctor Peach said as she went back to her desk to find something for Junior.

It was now at this moment, Junior realized that he was about to see her pull a gigantic needle out of her desk, it was finally time for Junior's shot.

"This is it… it's the giant painful needle Larry was talking about… I don't wanna get jabbed… is this the end for me…?" Junior thought in his head, as his heart was now beating out of control, and was beginning to sweat as if he felt like he was going to have a heart attack. He has never been more scared in his life. The only thing Junior could think of doing was to cover his small button eyes as he felt like screaming to the top of his lungs and balling his eyes out at any second.

The blond-haired doctor came back to Junior who was still covering his eyes and suddenly had something in her hand for him. Junior did not want to open his eyes to see a needle almost the size of his whole body, but as Junior began to slowly take one of his hands away from his eye to open it, he saw what was in hand that was now face to face with him. Doctor Peach showed Junior the

MOST DELICIOUS….

RED LOLLIPOP!

"Since you're being such a good patient, this is for you Junior!" She said with a big smile, as she showed the lollipop to the Koopa Prince's view.

This was so unexpected for Junior to see a lollipop that big in front of his eyes. Upon seeing the big strawberry-flavored candy stick, Junior suddenly stopped shaking and slowly grabbed the Lollipop. Junior's eyes that were originally about to cry a river of tears, were now sparkling like stars as he was now overjoyed. The 4-year-old Koopa then licked the lollipop, put it in his mouth with a big smile, and began eating it. It was like he forgot that he was about to get a shot. It was at this time, Doctor Peach began to take the small tube to reveal a small empty needle. Using it, she used the clear bottle of medicine, which was the vaccine, to fill up the needle. After tapping it a few times, she calmly grabbed Junior's arm with one hand to rub a cotton ball with alcohol on it. She then used her other hand to gently poke the needle in Bowser Junior's arm and pushed down to give the Koopa Prince his vaccine. Junior, however, was so distracted by the lollipop, that he didn't even notice nor feel the needle poking his arm. Not a scream or anything.

"There you go, Junior!" Doctor Peach happily said while taking out the needle and blocking Junior's shoulder.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" Junior confusingly said while now realizing what happened a few seconds ago.

"I just finished giving you your Koopa Shot!" She said while getting a box of bandages.

"Wait? I got my shot? But….But… I didn't even feel it…." Junior stammered with utter surprise.

"What did you think was gonna happen? I was gonna pull out a giant needle the size of your body and stab you in the arm?" She asked while bringing out the different colored bandages.

"Well...um...yeah…, that's what one of my brothers kept talking about with me," Junior answered.

"That's what most kids say to scare someone, but if they get distracted, then it doesn't hurt as much." Doctor Peach chuckled. "Now what color bandage do you want?" She said while showing the bandages to Junior.

He looked at the bandages to see all types of different colors. One that caught his eye was a magenta-colored bandage, which reminded him of Pom-Pom.

"I want that magenta one!" Junior excitedly said pointing to it.

"Good choice Junior!" She said as she put the bandage on Junior's shoulder.

He got off the examination table and left out the door while waving goodbye to Doctor Peach.

Bowser was back in the waiting room and was sitting on the chair while fiddling his fingers, thinking it was a mistake to not tell his kids they were going to the doctor. Upon looking at his son, he then gave a shocked gasp as he saw Junior not upset from the whole ordeal.

"Hey, Dad! I'm done with my shot!" Junior excitedly said while waving to his father.

"Huh? You're… You're already finished?" Bowser said with a look of utter surprise.

"Uh-huh! I didn't even feel a thing. The needle wasn't even that big!" Junior exclaimed, showing the bandage to his dad.

At this moment of him coming to his Dad, Morton came out from Doctor Rosalina's office with a big blue lollipop along with a blue bandage on his arm. It made Junior then realize that Morton was there to get a shot just like him.

"Morton back! Doctor Lady gave Morton Shot and Lollipop!" Morton excitedly said while sucking on his blue-raspberry flavored lollipop in his mouth.

From there, Pom-Pom and her brother Boom-Boom came out from their appointment with lollipops and bandages on their arms as well. Pom-Pom had a green apple-flavored lollipop with a green bandage like the color of Junior, while Boom-Boom had an Orange flavored lollipop with a red bandage.

"Hey Junior! Looks like you had an easy time with your doctor too! Doctor Daisy gave me and my brother a Lollipop." Pom-Pom chuckled while showing her bandage to Junior and eating her green lollipop.

"Cool! Doctor Peach gave me one too! I like your bandage." Junior smiled while also showing his bandage.

Bowser then scratched his red spiky hair in amazement. He wasn't expecting these kinds of results from his kids.

"Huh. I guess I was worried about nothing." Bowser said in relief.

"What Dad mean?" Morton asked with his lollipop covered in saliva and was dripping on the floor.

"Well kids, the reason I didn't tell you all were getting your shots is that I was worried you guys might get upset and cry from it. So, I didn't tell you guys were getting one today. Then the Doctors told me that since they had a tight schedule this week, Doctor Rosalina, Doctor Peach, and Dr. Mario all had separate checkups for you guys so things could go faster. That's why I couldn't be with you guys once you all got your shots." Bowser explained

"Wait? ALL of us were getting shots today?" Bowser Junior then realized.

"Yeah, You, your brother Morton and-" Bowser said before something cut him off from finishing his words.

All of a sudden the entire waiting room and doctor's office began to shake and rumble like an earthquake from an ear-piercing, blood-curdling scream. The scream was so powerful, that all of the windows from the waiting room cracked and broke from the volume coming from the doctor's office. Doctors, the other patients, and the others covered their ears from the terrible noise. Who on earth was that screaming?

"Oh no…. I know that scream from anywhere…" Bowser sighed with exhaustion while putting his palm on his face.

The ear-splitting scream was coming from none other than, Larry who was just exiting out the door with Doctor Mario with a grape-flavored lollipop and a purple bandage on his arm and was now bawling his eyes out in pain. It turns out, Larry also needed a shot and was too oblivious to know until it was too late for him.

"I WANNA GO HOME!" Larry screamed while holding his lollipop and continuing to cry.

"Don't cry, Champ, it was only just one shot," Bowser said while coming to pat his son's head.

"I know… I….just….wanna….go….HOME!" Larry wailed once again while bursting into tears and wiping his eyes.

"Don't worry King-a Bowser! This scenario is completely normal for children his-a age! He'll be completely fine! It's just, some kids can take-a shots, while-a others can't!" Doctor Mario yelled.

"Well… 2 out of 3 is alright…" Bowser exhaustedly said, holding his 8-year-old son in his arms who was still crying as his cheeks were now streaming with tears.

Upon hearing this, Bowser Junior and Pom-Pom gave a smile and high-fived each other for Junior's victory getting over his fear of needles.
