![]() Author has written 77 stories for Digimon, Bible, Dragon Ball Z, Lord of the Rings, and Silmarillion. For those of you who already know me, I don’t need an introduction. For those who are newcomers… well, I’m Crazyeight. Probably all you need to know really. Not too inclined to go around giving away information about myself to complete and total strangers until I’ve gotten to know you better. Anyway, as I’m sure that you’ve guessed, I’m a fan of the TV show, Digimon, particularly season three, which I felt had the most realistic feel to its storyline and characters (though Adventure and 02 were also pretty good. Frontier sadly wasn’t all that impressive in my mind, but it had some okay parts to it. The battles with the Royal Knights for instance was my favorite story arc of that season), and as you may have guessed by looking at my story summaries (or a previous edition of my profile) I’m a Rukato fan (Rika x Takato), which is really the only pairing that I’ve really cared about, though Jurato (Jeri x Takato) and Ryuki (Ryo x Rika) scenes find their way in as well. (And why not? Keeps things interesting :P) Overall, I’ve got no problem with pairings, and refuse to bash them unless it’s done in parody, in which case even my own preferences will be subject to the same treatment (as evidenced in my ‘Fourth Wall’ series, which is a multi-season crossover set in the world of fan fiction), so rest assured that in my stories all characters and views will be treated with as much respect that is possible. Read, review, or just fire a PM at me if you just want to talk or ask me about a story idea. And if you want me to beta read your work, I'll do that, and you can expect me to give constructive criticism and tips, though I may not be the right candidate for the job. Anyway, hope that you enjoy my work. Later. -Crazyeight 11/5/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 21 Generic Reviewer: Well, only in the sense that both involved digi-eggs, but the two are of completely different plots. Suzie is indeed quite terrifying. :D Thanks for the review. 10/28/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 20 Generic Reviewer: *Laughs* No, getting to second base will not cure anything. This isn't something that can be fixed by relationship stuff. Fortunately, Shibumi's on the case. Thanks for the review. 10/19/21 Anonymous Reviews for: A Realm of Fear, chapter 4 Generic Reviewer: I could change things up and add some newer digimon. I've been wondering about it recently. Thanks for the review. 10/17/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 19 Generic Reviewer: Heh. Wasn't writing with October and Halloween in mind. Just going in what felt like a logical direction regarding the plot device that was introduced, but I can see where it fits. It'd be a bit too much of a course change with regards to story mood. I wouldn't worry too much though about these two going that far into the dark. Just a brushing on the edges really. Thanks for the review. 10/16/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 19 PhantomDark: Glad you're liking the story (and the pairing!) so far. I hope to do the developing situation between Renamon and Henry justice as well. Thanks for the review. 10/13/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 173 Anonymous: Haha! Yeah, I can't wait to get to the biomerge chapters as well. They seem to be quite hotly expected. Doing well so far. Thanks for the review. :) 10/7/21 Anonymous Reviews for: A Realm of Fear, chapter 3 Generic Reviewer: Yeah, I felt this story needed a little more meat to it in order to be interesting. Fluff is good, but it can only go so far. Thanks for the review. 9/21/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 170 Lucifer666: I do intend to come back to this story. At present though, I'm on a much-needed hiatus to recuperate and focus on other projects. Thanks for the review. 8/27/21 Anonymous Reviews for:V-D Day, Chapter 1 Generic Reviewer: Dunno how the suit makes Takato 'flirtatious' but I imagine that Rika and Jeri will like it either way. :D Thanks for the review. 8/24/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Fourth Wall, Book 1, The Wages of Fans is Fiction, chapter 13 Generic Reviewer: Yeah, you'll find my earliest stuff is kind of a victim of first installment weirdness. XD Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: Fourth Wall, Book 1, The Wages of Fans is Fiction, chapter 4 Generic Reviewer: Was surprised at first to find a review for this fic, due to its age and, as you note later, weirdness level. Can't say I was ever really a Taiora fan to begin with as Rukato's been really my one and only. Outside of that, I'm a stickler for canon. The Tai/Rei stuff was mainly to give Tai something to angst about in addition to Kari's arrival in the digital world. A thinking-Tai would be more capable at handling the D-Reaper and finding Gennai after all. :D Thanks for the review. 7/8/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 18 John Doe: I aim to please. :D Thanks for the review. 7/6/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 171 Spectre: Actually, the scene in question wasn't based on any scene from the show (the two scenes you describe don't have much connecting them together beyond that they both involve Takato and Rika). It just popped into my head and I put it down. Thanks for the review. 6/26/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 1 Kungfupacman: Yeah, I'm still here for some reason. I just can't seem to let go of the fandom. XD Wouldn't hold your breath on the Requiem updates though. I think that ship has sailed, unfortunately. :( Thanks for the review. 6/4/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digmon Trinity, chapter 173 Dracofighter: Thanks for catching the goofs for me. Whoops. Dunno how that happened. Thanks again. :) 6/2/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 18 Generic Reviewer: What can I say? Takato's very good at making things awkward. XD Thanks for the review. 6/1/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 173 Generic Reviewer: No idea why people keep thinking that Jeri staying behind means that Lionheart isn't going to happen. Because it's happening. I'm just going about it differently. XD A lot of the reason why I'm altering parts of the digital world arc is because it's easily the weakest of the season and some episodes do very little to advance the plot or come off as too silly when you consider everything that's at stake. No idea what you mean by Kanius though, or the 'literal whos' you reference. You...expect a clash between Takato and Jeri because Kazu and Kenta aren't around? O.o I'm so confused! Thanks for the review. 5/29/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Candlelight Generic Reviewer: Lol. Thanks for the review. 5/16/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Reed, chapter 17 Generic Reviewer: I don't think you can count on FLCL material making its way into my work, mainly because I didn't see enough of it to be influenced by it. Not sure if there'll be a happy ending, but things are going to be tense between our two lovebirds for a bit, that's for sure. Thanks for the review. 5/11/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 171 But Anyways: Lol. Was pretty sure biomerging was a merging with the middle man. XD Thanks for the review. 5/3/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 172 Generic Reviewer: Yeah, a lot of episode 24 is basically setting things up for the goodbyes (only this time I've got a much larger cast to work with). And I felt that this couldn't be done without Megumi and Miki, as they had a minor presence so far and were tapped by Ken on occasion when things went all pear-shaped. Lol. What can I say? Rika and Takato have very good chemistry between them and a lot of it has a kind of romcom flavor. You don't get misunderstandings like the infamous shirt episode or the other time when Takato put a heart in her message to her family without some romcom in there. Ken and Davis might appear to have death flags, but remember that they're still alive at the end of 02. Thanks for the review. :) 5/1/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 16 Generic Reviewer: If you can think of what about the ending is familiar, could you tell me? I'm not sure what about it comes from 'A Hot Summers Day' (assuming that's what you're referring to). As for whether or not Takato got Rika pregnant, well, you'll see what happens. Thanks for the review. :) 4/27/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 15 Generic Reviewer: When the series creator confirmed that Takato did have a physical presence in the real world while dreaming and that Renamon indeed actually see him, I got to thinking about what that would mean. However, Takato didn't digivolve into an eldritch horror or anything like that. What happened will be explained as time goes on but let's just say that Takato isn't the only one capable of this. Thanks for the review. 4/20/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 14 Generic Reviewer: Actually, you're wrong about why he and Jeri never worked out. Unlike a lot of Rukato writers, I don't subscribe to the belief that Megidramon would have any bearing on their relationship status (supported by the new Tamers drama CD where they were moving toward being a couple in middle school and were engaged as adults). But I do believe that Takato is worried about the Megidramon incident and what that says about him. As Takato is a sensitive soul, he'd worry unconsciously that it says bad things. Thanks for the review. 4/17/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery Generic Reviewer: Can't remember, but I think this piece might have been inspired by the artwork you mentioned. Been a while though, so I can't say if I'm recalling it correctly. This story wasn't M-Rated though, and I'm not sure what you mean by Rika going full Rumiko-Prime. Thanks for the review. 4/12/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 171 Generic Reviewer: More like seven years between Data Squad and Tamers. Thanks for the review. Later. HeartEarth: When I heard that Kristy's character was voiced by Rika's voice actress, I had to make some kind of familial relationship between them and it had to be close. There was just no getting around it. :D One day, Rika will throw out the rabbit stew line. One day. XD Thanks for the review. 4/6/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 169 Lucifer666: Don't worry. I will. XD Thanks for the review. 3/30/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 170 Dracofighter: Thanks for the review. Generic Reviewer: It's hard not to describe Ryo as being some kind of eldritch creature who exists outside of space and time when you look at his relationship with Milleniummon (who himself describes Ryo's power as 'eternal' which also makes his own power eternal). Never heard of Famirad before though. I might just look them up. Lmao! Given Rika's line of work, this really shouldn't be surprising. XD Thanks for the review. 3/17/21 Anonymous Reviews for: A Story for Suzie, chapter 60 Generic Reviewer: Yeah, you're better off skipping the 'sequel' because it's not really a sequel so much as it was a test-bed for me and some ideas for original story writing. Terriermon can't be a dick in every story. XD Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Story for Suzie, chapter 54 Generic Reviewer: Sakuyamon, keeping the streak alive. :D Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Story for Suzie, chapter 53 Generic Reviewer: Well, Milleniummon deserves to be concerned about no matter what incarnation he's traveling in. XD Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Story for Suzie, chapter 52 Generic Reviewer: And so he appears...sort of. XD Thanks for the review. 3/15/21 Anonymous Reviews for: A Story for Suzie, chapter 46 Generic Reviewer: To be fair, Runaway Locomon is kind of important in Takato and Rika's friendship, so it makes sense to have a callback to it. It involved something pretty personal to Rika after all. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Story for Suzie, chapter 30 Generic Reviewer: Yeah. Needed a way for Takato to have some pretty sufficient trauma that was similar to the main Tamers' timeline (Henry is 'writing what you know' after all) and this seemed to fit. Pretty dark, but stories have a way of taking on a life of their own. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Story for Suzie, chapter 27 Generic Reviewer: Got to keep the streak alive with Takato. :D I'd hardly say this is the first time Ryo does something other than 'not show up.' I've had Ryo play a major role in other works. It's just hard to have Ryo appear when he lives on the other side of the country. Thanks for the review. 3/14/21 Anonymous Reviews for: A Story for Suzie, chapter 25 Generic Reviewer: A few others, but probably not as screwed up as AltRika is. XD Thanks for the review. 3/13/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Clothes Make the Man Guest: Jeri appreciates a well-dressed Takato, what can I say? XD Thanks for the review. 2/27/21 Anonymous Reviews for: A Story for Suzie, chapter 15 Generic Reviewer: Takato is always an awkward sperg, Ryo or no Ryo. XD Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Story for Suzie, chapter 14 Generic Reviewer: Hey, why should Takato have all the fun in breaking reality, right? :P Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Story for Suzie, chapter 8 Generic Reviewer: Yeah, sometimes I write stories that aren't enormous door stoppers. Thanks for the review. 2/24/21 Anonymous Reviews for: A Spring Flowering, chapter 5 Generic Reviewer: I wouldn't say that this story is canceled. I do intend to come back to it at some point once I have the inspiration for it again. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Spring Flowering, chapter 4 Generic Reviewer: Guess we'll find out. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Spring Flowering, chapter 3 Generic Reviewer: Sometimes a plot is needed to keep things interesting. :P Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Spring Flowering, chapter 2 Generic Reviewer: Rika wasn't desperate. She just knows it's a bit of a pain feeling the way Takato does in that situation and figured it was better to get things done and over with while the opportunity was there. She's practical and there's a reciprocal element in there as well. Also, making a looot of assumptions there. Despite the higher rating for the works, Rika was never stated to be that big on top and is explicitly stated to be smaller than her mother in both works. All that was said was that she had outgrown her bra and it was causing her discomfort. This is not an uncommon issue and, as I understand it, even adults knowing their bra size is a bit hard, complicated by various reasons (such as embarrassment) and can cause problems. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Spring Flowering, chapter 1 Generic Reviewer: Well, I wouldn't say that it swerved quickly, given how late it appears in the chapter. Also, their relationship is pretty well established by now, so it's not like they're dancing around it. Thanks for the review. 2/23/21 Anonymous Reviews for: A Whisper and a Smile Generic Reviewer: Yeah, definitely a little too meta. XD Thanks for the review. 2/22/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Sketching the Heart in Your Eyes Generic Reviewer: Such is the fate of reading. There are only so many stories for one to enjoy. XD Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Hot Summers Day, chapter 18 Generic Reviewer: Yeah, militant shippers have a habit of bringing down the enjoyment level for fics. But I feel you about how Rukato resonates. It's been really the only ship I've ever been interested in as I find their chemistry to be quite enjoyable. I've largely been neutral on all the rest. I am pretty sure that Rika interacted with Takato more than 4-5 episodes though. She just doesn't make a huge deal about it the way some shippers would like her to and is just more subtle about it. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Hot Summers Day, chapter 17 Generic Reviewer: Lol. Thanks for the review. 2/21/21 Anonymous Reviews for: A Hot Summers Day, chapter 16 Generic Reviewer: Well, the next chapter might surprise you on that. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Hot Summers Day, chapter 15 Generic Reviewer: I wouldn't say that her level of thirst is frightening. It's more that she knows they don't have many opportunities for 'having fun' or experimenting and wants to take advantage of those rare moments while they're able to. XD Thanks for the review. 2/20/21 Anonymous Reviews for: A Hot Summers Day, chapter 9 Generic Reviewer: Close enough for government work, I suppose (although technically Mammothmon is stronger than Parasimon. For that matter, so are most Champions). Having your home destroyed and almost getting squished is pretty high up there on the dangerous category. I figured it was time to break things up a little bit. There's only so much you can do with the characters chilling out by the pool after all and I really wanted to show how close they've gotten in their relationship. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Hot Summers Day, chapter 7 Generic Reviewer: Yeah, from this point on, the content starts accelerating on this kind of subject matter. XD Thanks for the review. 2/19/21 Anonymous Reviews for: A Hot Summer's Day, chapter 6 Generic Reviewer: Seeing Red isn't a pseudo sequel. The sequels are A Spring Flowering and A Cold Winter's Night. Anyway, as this was my first serious swing at this kind of genre, it gets to things pretty quick (at least for me anyway). Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Hot Summer's Day, chapter 1 Generic Reviewer: You forgot the infamous dream and Takato awkwardly complimenting Rika's shirt in the tunnel. Those are usually the big Rukato moments in the season. But really, I think a lot of it has to do with their interaction, which has quite a bit of chemistry. Thanks for the review. 2/18/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 13 Generic Reviewer: Well, keep in mind those 'in their 20s' stories are all set in different continuities, so no relation to this story. The Henry/Renamon bits though are more a progression of Renamon exploring human sexuality and Henry just being caught off guard by it. He's not exactly looking to be in a relationship with Renamon, but it's difficult to not react to sensory stimuli, especially when you're not prepared for it. At any rate, I figured it'd give Henry something to do that would also help Renamon in the story. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 9 Generic Reviewer: Really, the only thing that keeps Kazu from being together with anyone long term is due to his lack of self-control. At least he's aware of it, but that awareness doesn't seem to translate to stopping himself when he needs to. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 8 Generic Reviewer: Terriermon has become an expert when it comes to stirring the boiling pot that is Rika Nonaka. He knows when to let things simmer and how close and fast to bring things to a boil before backing off. To be fair, I think a lot of the time Henry gets put on the backburner while Jeri and Suzie are brought more to the front is because Henry's already pretty well developed and Jeri and Suzie were secondary characters in the show with Suzie not really doing much and Jeri losing her partner halfway in and becoming a prisoner to the D-Reaper. It makes sense to want to bring in other characters to provide a fresh perspective on things. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 7 Generic Reviewer: Ms. Asaji would have to be VERY drunk for that to happen. Which, I don't think she would ever allow as she's generally pretty professional. Might show up with a hangover, but not drunk. XD Thanks for the review. 2/17/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 6 Generic Reviewer: Thanks for the review. XD Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 5 Generic Reviewer: Well, the sexual tension IS kind of the point in this story (though as far as sexual tension goes, it's pretty tame compared to what I've written before in 'A Hot Summer's Day'). A lot of the tension is driven by the fact that Rika is more aware of these things than Takato, but isn't quite as mature emotionally on them the way she thinks she is, while Takato, despite not being as aware, is nonetheless not in the dark about how these things affect her (or at the very least worries about how they affect her), which in turn makes him more focused on such things than he would otherwise be if he weren't anxious about upsetting her, which, in typical Takato-ish fashion, creates its own problems. The two feed into one another unintentionally, as has been their dynamic since they first met. Only now puberty's involved. And puberty is a very messy affair. XD Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 4 Generic Reviewer: Lol. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 3 Generic Reviewer: That...was probably more information than I wanted to hear. O.o Boy, if you think Rika isn't being weird with her doujins, well... Jeri of course, is absolutely weird. I'm pretty sure of it given how she made bedroom eyes at Leomon in the show and chased him through the park. The manga takes it up to eleven by having her commenting on Leomon's muscular body. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 2 Generic Reviewer: I don't know. I've read both the original doujin and the manga. Nagatoro is more sadistic sounding than Rika ever has been. Rika likes to tease, but she doesn't go as far as Nagatoro. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 1 Generic Reviewer: To be fair, Rika didn't mean to catch Takato in such a compromising position. And she'd much rather just acknowledge it and get it out of the way instead of pretend it didn't happen when it very clearly did. XD Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: A Cold Winter's Night Generic Reviewer: Some people are good at maintaining their innocence even in the face of everything they experience and see. Takato is just that sort of person (though I think he takes extra care for Rika's sake). Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: The Gift Underneath the Wrapping Generic Reviewer: Yeah...I wouldn't go to those images to say that they're in character for Rika. But most people develop a kink or two as they enter adulthood, so it stands to reason that even Rika would have at least one. XD Thanks for the review. 2/9/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 168 Generic Reviewer: Lmao! I haven't actually given any thought to Kazu/Jeri, especially since, in spite of my preference for Rukato, Jurato is one of the driving forces for Jeri and Takato and will play a role later on in the story. If Kazu/Jeri ever are a thing, it will most likely be post-Trinity. :P Thanks for the review. 2/7/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 168 Cyberphone: Takeru's going to be having quite a bit of awkward moments, that's for sure. XD Thanks for the review. 1/29/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 167 Dracofighter: Thanks for the review. 1/26/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Christmas Moonshine, chapter 1 Generic Reviewer: Glad you like it and thanks for the review. :) 1/25/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 167 Generic Reviewer: I'd argue that Mimi also holds a trophy for best female character that's not Rika. She got pretty boss once she got her act together in the first season. Might take a million years for Takeru to sound like Yamaki though. XD Thanks for the review. 1/9/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 166 Generic Reviewer: Nah. Got no reason to stick to obscure Armor evolutions (especially when the Eggs in question are tied up more with the 02 crowd and have limited utility once regular digivolution and DNA digivolution became available). No worries. WarGreymon will be okay. :) Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 164 Generic Reviewer: Yolei's always been high energy. I suspect that trait didn't go away once she became an adult. XD Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 152 Generic Reviewer: Rika and her family have a surprisingly rich and deep history, which makes them a lot more interesting to write about as it helps me explore various aspects of her little corner of the world that other characters don't really brush up against (like tea ceremonies). It's very enjoyable, at least for me. :) Thanks for the review. 1/8/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 149 Generic Reviewer: Fortunately, it's not an ADR type. XD Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 147 Generic Reviewer: Tai's self-aware enough to be worried about whether or not he's using Rei as a replacement for Sora (plenty of reason for that since Rei looks exactly like her). His courage would allow him to settle down though. He's just going through some things first. Thanks for the review. 1/7/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 133 Generic Reviewer: Ha! I'm almost tempted to put that reference in the story now. Almost, but not quite, however fun it might be. XD Thanks for the review. 1/6/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 127 Generic Reviewer: Yeah, my shipping goggles are pretty heavy when it comes to Rukato. I understand that it gets pretty frightening at times. XD Thanks for the review. 1/5/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 101 Generic Reviewer: Well, as far as my stories go, yeah. The Nonaka household has something of a preference for dorks like Takato and Davis. Spencer is a bit of an oddity, but I suspect there are reasons for it that might be political in nature. I think I did write Rika briefly materializing a DNA Charge at one point, but I don't think it ever really amounted to much in the grand scheme of things. Couldn't tell you the chapter unfortunately. Thanks for the review. Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity chapter 88 Generic Reviewer: She's definitely been a fun character to write, and one of those rare times where the dub allows for interesting ideas to come about in fanfiction. Heh. If you think that Kurata reference was ominous, you should read the oneshot side story to this work: Digimon Trinity, A Shadow Flowering. ;P Thanks for the review. 1/4/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Digimon Trinity, chapter 41 Generic Reviewer: Yeah, there's been a few of those kinds of stories over the years. Pretty sure it's been done to death. XD Thanks for the review. :D 1/3/21 Anonymous Reviews for: Seeing Red, chapter 12 Guest: Thanks for the review. |
