He was staring at her dumbly. Videl raised her head to look at him, biting her lip in an endearing way, her cheeks a lovely pink color. She rubbed the back of his hand with her thumb.

Gohan couldn't find his voice. He didn't know what to say. Well, in all honesty, he knew what he wanted to say, but things weren't that simple when your name was Son Gohan.

He swallowed and averted his eyes, his face growing hotter as Videl's words echoed in his head.

"I want to be more than friends."

It sounded too good to be true. The girl he liked was asking him out. He had thought she might share his feelings; there were looks, and smiles, and the way she seemed to find any excuse to make physical contact with him, but Gohan would never have imagined that she would just up and tell him how she felt, especially not this soon, when they met only a few days ago.

He admired her for her courage and boldness. It only made him like Videl more. Telling someone you liked them… that took some guts. Gohan didn't know if he could have done it.

He pulled his hand away from hers and scratched behind his ear, averting his gaze. If he were any other guy, saying yes would have been so easy. He couldn't be more ecstatic that Videl liked him back.

But he was anything but a normal guy. Saying yes wasn't that simple when there was so much more to think about. Being friends was one thing, but actually getting involved with Videl… As much as Gohan wanted to say yes and become her boyfriend, he wasn't sure he could. Not when she had no clue.

"I, uh…" He pinched his lips together, trying to find the right words to explain his situation to Videl.

It was just too soon, and he was nowhere near ready to tell her about himself. How could he be with her when she had no idea what she was getting herself into? And who knew how she was going to react to the truth about him? What if she regretted getting together with him once she knew? What if she felt betrayed that he hadn't told her about his alien origins from the start and never wanted to see him again because of that?

"Do…" Videl started, her voice small. "Do you not like me?"

His head snapped toward her and his eyes widened, and he let his mouth run before he could stop himself. "N-No! That's not it at all! I do! I like you too!"

He could've slapped himself. He was such an idiot! That wasn't what he was supposed to tell her!

But the way Videl smiled when he blurted that out made his heart glow. His face was boiling. She really wasn't making it any easier for him.

Videl took a step closer and reached up with her hand, cupping his cheek. Gohan forgot how to breathe. Her touch made him feel so weak.

But he had to stay focused. He had to explain to Videl why it was too soon, even if he did like her back.

"It… It's just…" God, his throat was so tight and dry. Her eyes were killing him. And the way her thumb stroked his cheek… "My… My life is… complicated. Very, very complicated."

Her lovely smile didn't leave her face. She tilted her head. "What do you mean?"

Gohan touched her hand on his cheek and closed his eyes, feeling his resolve slipping as he unwittingly basked in the caress.

But he forced himself to pry her hand off his cheek and let it go. He watched Videl's brow furrow at his action. He sighed heavily.

"You know how… how I've been reluctant to tell you about how I got into martial arts?" Videl nodded her head. "Well, that… that's just the tip of the iceberg." Gohan looked away and swallowed thickly. "There's just so much I should tell you before even thinking about… being with you. And as much as I want to… As much as I like you, I'm nowhere near ready to tell you any of that. It's just… too soon." He hung his head and shut his eyes, his hands balling up into fists at his sides. "I'm sorry, Videl."

He felt her move from the shift in the air; her arms were rising toward him. Videl cupped his face between her hands and Gohan opened his eyes. His breath hitched as he felt himself drown in her deep blue gaze. She was smiling at him again, an endearing blush tinging her cheeks.

"Gohan, you're overthinking this. I'm not asking you to tell me everything about you right away. We're still getting to know each other, and there's no reason to speed things up just because we get together. I want to get to know you… but as a couple, not just as friends."

As much as that made sense… Gohan just wouldn't feel right about it, being with Videl without telling her about his origins.

"It… It just…" he tried to explain, but Videl went on.

"It really won't be that much different than being friends, you know? We'll still hang out and have fun together, but we'll just be… closer."

His heart was pounding so hard. He wanted that. He wanted to be closer to Videl. He wanted to be with her.

Would it be so bad if they got together now? Yes, he needed to tell Videl about him, but he was planning to anyway. They would still be getting to know each other… just, on a different level.

"But it's just…" Gohan pried her hands off his face and took a step back, shaking his head. "I'm worried you'll regret it. If we get together, and then I tell you everything… It's… not easy to accept, the truth about me. That's why we… can't…"

The words had trouble coming out. God, he wanted this so much. Why did he have to reject the girl he liked? Why couldn't he have a normal life?

Videl frowned. "Well, I can't tell how I'll react, since I have no idea what this is about."

Gohan gave her an apologetic smile.

She took a step toward him and reached over for his hand. Gohan felt a pleasant tingle at her touch. His face heated up.

"But," she continued, her voice soft, "this is the first time I've ever felt this way for a guy, and I… I want to see where this could go. I want to be with you, Gohan."

He let out a shaky breath. His fingers tightened around hers. "I want to be with you too, Videl."

Her smile widened. "Then let's go for it."

Gohan bit his lip. "But…"

She reached up with her other hand to cup his cheek, effectively shutting him up. "You worry too much, Gohan." She cracked a smile. "Whatever happens, let future me and future you deal with that, okay?"

He chuckled. The weight in his chest lessened. He touched the hand on his cheek and closed his eyes, basking in the feeling.

"Yeah, okay…"

"R-Really?"

He smiled. She sounded surprised. He supposed Videl didn't expect a positive answer when he had been so reluctant to say yes.

But how could he fight this when it was all he wanted? He had liked Videl from the very beginning, from the first time he saw her.

Actually, he had liked Videl from the first punch he saw her throw, Gohan mentally corrected himself. He smiled to himself at the fond memory. He really loved how strong and talented she was. He just never stood a chance, did he?

Gohan wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, revelling in the way her soft curves pressed up against him.

"Yes, really," he replied. His voice lowered. "I'm… I'm still worried but… I really, really, really like you, Videl."

"That's a lot of reallys," she teased with a chuckle as her arms wrapped around him.

"Well, I do."

"I really, really, really like you too, Gohan," she replied, her voice hushed.

His heart was racing as she said that. He couldn't believe his luck, meeting someone as incredible as Videl, and now getting to be with her…

He hoped it was going to be okay. There was no way to tell how Videl was going to react to learning that he was half-alien, not to mention the real victor of the Cell Games, but… for now, Gohan wanted to enjoy the present. Right now, he had a beautiful girl in his arms, and he didn't want to think of anything else.

He nuzzled her hair and breathed in deeply. She smelled so nice… He could really get used to this.

Gohan had to go back to class, and she needed to get back to training, herself. But working out and practicing her ki control was the last thing on Videl's mind right now.

Her silly grin was still glued to her face as Gohan paused and looked back at her over his shoulder, giving her a wave. Videl waved back; Gohan chuckled, a cute blush on his cheeks, and went on his way.

Her heart was about to burst out of her chest. She felt so giddy and excited. And proud of herself too. Confessing her feelings to the guy she liked was no picnic, but she went through with it, she asked Gohan out, and now he was her boyfriend.

Videl giggled to herself. She was so happy, and she could barely believe it. Gohan was her boyfriend!

Her grin widened as she recalled the way he'd just blurted out that he liked her, panicked that she might think otherwise. His reluctance to give in to his feelings made her wonder what could be holding him back. He said that the truth about him wouldn't be easy to accept, that he worried she might regret being with him once he told her everything. But Videl couldn't think of anything that would make her have second thoughts about getting together with Gohan. How could she ever regret it when she was so happy?

She found herself a bench and sat, looking up at the clear, blue sky. She recalled the way it felt to be in Gohan's arms and sighed dreamily. She liked him so much. To think they had known each other for just a few days…

And he was her boyfriend now…

Videl knew who else would be ecstatic at the news. Back in high school, Erasa would always try to set her up with boys, but Videl just wasn't interested at the time, and she was too busy focusing on getting stronger to think about dating anyway. Thinking of Gohan's cute smile, she supposed she just never met the right person before.

She did try to convince herself that she should focus on her career, that Gohan would be a distraction, and that they shouldn't be more than friends. But she was already distracted. Gohan was going to be on her mind either way, so she might as well do something about it.

In the end, she simply wanted to be with him. And Videl didn't think their new relationship was going to affect her training anyway. Gohan was still going to teach her more about ki, and she would still spend her days training on her own. The only difference was that now, she had someone to spend her free time with. And there was no reason for that to get in the way of her training. As long as she stayed focused on her goal, which was to become the next world champion of martial arts, it didn't matter what she did in her free time. Even she couldn't train twenty-four/seven, after all.

Videl looked at her watch. She should probably get back to training, for that matter. But, before that, there was one thing she needed to do.

She pulled her phone out of her pocket and wrote Erasa a text. Giggling to herself as she pictured the look on Erasa's face when she read it, and wishing she could have told her in person, she hit the send icon and waited a few moments.

On the messaging app, Erasa just appeared online. Videl cracked a grin as she waited for her best friend's reaction.

It didn't take long for the phone to ring. Videl laughed as she answered the call, but she found herself pulling her phone away from her ear as Erasa shrieked, "You have a boyfriend?"

Slowly, cautiously, Videl put the device back against her ear. "Geez, Erasa, are you trying to make me deaf?" Her tone was teasing and her silly grin never left her face. Her spirits were so high, Videl didn't think anything would be able to spoil her mood today.

"Tell me everything!" Erasa urged her, too eager to know more about her new boyfriend to care about the remark. "Who is he? How did you meet? When did you start liking him? What is he like? Is he cute? Who made the first move? Oh, my god, this is so exciting!"

Videl laughed. Good ol' Erasa. It was so like her to ask her a billion questions without letting her get a word in.

"Slow down, Erasa," she said with mirth in her voice. "Let's see if I can answer all your questions before you throw more at me. His name is Gohan. He's a scientist and a grad student, but he's also an incredible martial artist. We met at the park. I was teaching a self-defense class for kids and he came to talk to me when it was over." Videl smiled fondly at the memory. "We ended up doing tai chi together, and then we had a spar."

"He sounds perfect for you. Is he older? Since he's a grad student."

"No, he's our age, but he's a genius. He started college at fifteen and he's already studying for his third PhD."

"Wow…"

"Yeah, he's amazing. And yes, he's really cute." Videl blushed as she said that. "He's got really nice eyes and a gentle smile. He's shy and gets easily flustered, and it's so adorable."

"Gosh, he sounds so cute! I can't wait to meet him!"

"You'll see him at my next match for sure."

"I can't wait that long! I need to meet him as soon as possible!"

Videl cracked up at her friend's impatience. "Fine by me. Your room at my place is waiting for you anytime."

"I'm gonna see if I can visit this weekend, if not, I'll come next weekend. And I'm gonna ask Sharpner if he wants to come with."

"This weekend starts tomorrow, Erasa. Will you be able to book a flight on such short notice?"

"I'll rent a jet if I have to!"

Videl laughed into her hand. She expected no less from her best friend, but her reaction was still hilarious.

"If I knew getting a boyfriend would make you visit so soon, I would've found one sooner," she joked.

"It's about time you got one!"

"Well, I'm looking forward to your next visit."

"Me, too! I can't wait to meet… um…"

"Gohan," Videl reminded her. Erasa giggled in good humor.

"Right. I really can't wait to meet him. Oh! Do you have any photos of him?"

"No, sorry, but I'm seeing him later today so I'll be sure to take a few. I want to have pictures of him too anyway."

"Ohhh, do you have a date planned already?"

"It's not a date, no. I told you Gohan's a martial artist, right? Since he's so good, I hired him as my new trainer. We have our next session at five."

Although, Videl wondered if Gohan would be free after their training session to go on a date. He probably had to work at Capsule Corp. though, but maybe they could meet up later tonight, like yesterday?

"Make sure you take good shots of him to send to me."

Videl chuckled. "Will do. Anyway, I better get going, Erasa, I have to go back to training."

"Wait! You didn't answer all my questions! And I have more!"

Normally, Videl would try to get out of that kind of talk and hang up the phone, but she was in such a good mood, she decided to humor her friend. Besides, training could wait a little longer; it wouldn't make much of a difference. And she was wearing the weighted bands Gohan gave her, so that was something, at least.

"Alright. What questions did I miss?"

"When did you start liking him? And who made the first move?"

Videl blushed. "I… uh… I liked him from the start, I guess. I thought he was cute when he came up to me at the park, and when he got ready to spar with me, um…" She flushed brighter. "I thought he looked hot, kind of disheveled and all." She cleared her throat, glad that Erasa couldn't see how much she was blushing right now. She heard her giggle at her answer. Videl sighed as she kept going. "And, he's just a really great guy, you know? He's kind, and humble, and polite, and he's really fun to hang out with. We… um, we've actually only known each other for a few days, but it feels like I've known him my whole life. It's crazy how much I like him already…"

"Wow. Sounds like this could be the real deal. And it's only been a few days? He must be something special, that Gohan."

Videl let out a dreamy sigh, her eyes glazing over. "He really is."

Erasa let a few moments pass before throwing her next question at her. "So, have you kissed yet?"

Videl's face flared up completely. The inquiry wasn't unexpected coming from Erasa, but it was still an embarrassing topic to get into.

"We haven't, no…"

"What have you guys done so far then?"

She fiddled with the hem of her shirt, her face growing hotter. "We… um… we've held hands, and we hugged."

"Ohhh… Very nice! Kissing should be the next step then. Be sure to tell me when it happens and how it goes! Oh, this is so exciting! You're finally gonna get your first kiss!"

Videl sighed, massaging the nape of her neck. "Um, are you done with your questions yet? I do need to get back to training."

"I think the rest can wait." Erasa giggled. "I'm satisfied for now."

"For now, huh?" Videl chuckled. As embarrassing as some of Erasa's questions had been, it was fun to talk to her about these things.

They said goodbye and hung up. Videl stood from the bench and looked around. The campus had beautiful open spaces. It would be perfect to go for a run here.

She stretched for a few minutes, getting warmed up. And then she was off. Videl smiled. She liked running with her hair untied, letting it flow behind her to the wind her speed created. She was slower than usual, what with wearing the heavy bands on her wrists and ankles, but she was starting to get used to the added weight. It was going to take a while until she didn't feel it anymore, but in the meantime, it helped build up her strength and stamina, which would in turn make using her ki a lot easier and more natural.

She was so lucky that she met Gohan. Not only was he a great guy, not only did he like her back, but she couldn't have dreamed for a better trainer. Thanks to him, she was even learning how to fly. It was like a dream come true, and it would've never been possible if not for Gohan. Videl couldn't be more grateful to her lucky star for putting Gohan in her path. And she was eager to see where they would go from there now that they were together.

Her smile widened at the thought. She replayed their earlier conversation in her head, recalling Gohan's expressions and reactions to her confession, and the way he held her in his arms when he finally gave in to his feelings for her. The way he nuzzled her hair and breathed her in. The way his arms tightened around her, holding her closer. The way his heart raced, pounding hard against the side of her face.

And his smile when he started pulling away. Videl let out a dreamy sigh at the recollection. Gohan had such a great smile. She loved the way his eyes twinkled when he looked at her.

She took a break from the run and started stretching, but her mind was elsewhere. Gohan was still all she could think about. She just couldn't help it.

She sighed dreamily. She felt so blessed. Gohan was every girl's dream guy, and he liked her. He could be with anyone, and he certainly had his pick if his classmate Kay was any indication, but she was the one he liked. Sure, Videl was aware that she was quite a catch too, but a lot of guys were intimidated by her strong persona and her athletic prowess, not to mention her professional success. But Gohan, he actually liked all that about her.

She smiled at the sky. She truly was blessed.

On the same rooftop as the day before, Gohan waited for Videl to join him. It was ten minutes to five o'clock, but her jetcopter was already in sight. His face lit up and he waved at her. Videl landed it a few moments later, and Gohan jogged up to the aircraft as she climbed off.

His eyes were sparkling as he met hers. "Hey," he said.

Videl beamed at him. "Hey, you."

Then she reached up and pressed her soft lips on his cheek. Gohan flushed brightly, and he blinked at her as she drew back with a sheepish smile and rosy cheeks. He lifted his hand and brushed the spot she had kissed with the tip of his fingers.

His heart was racing.

"Shall we get started?" she asked.

Gohan nodded dumbly, his hand still on his cheek. His face felt hotter than ever. He was going to need a minute to recover from that kiss.

Videl giggled. He smiled shyly, moving the hand on his cheek to scratch the back of his head.

"You, um, you caught me off guard."

She grinned. "You looked too cute to resist."

His blush deepened at her words, somehow, and he averted his gaze, still scratching his hair. He chuckled uneasily. Videl made him so nervous. It was even worse now that they were together.

He glanced back at her, and his gaze unwittingly dropped to her cherry lips. Gohan found himself wondering when the right moment to actually taste them would come… and got himself all flustered again as soon as the thought left his mind. He looked away again and coughed into his fist.

"Let's get started. I, uh… I don't work on Fridays so I have more time to train you today."

Videl's eyes lit up at the information. "You don't have to go to work today? That's great! Then we can go on a date after training."

He raised his eyebrows. "A date?" he repeated.

She smiled. "Yeah. Pretty much like last night, really. But we could go see a movie this time."

He blinked. "Uh, sure. Sounds good."

Pretty much like last night? Gohan wondered. He supposed getting dinner together was indeed like a date, from what he knew on the matter. She even invited him to her place at the end of the night.

He blushed at the thought and scratched his cheek. Did that count as their first date, then? But they only hung out as friends last night. Although, they did end up holding hands and even hugging more than once… Gohan supposed that the only thing missing for it to be an actual date would have been…

He glanced at her lips again.

The only thing missing would've been a kiss, right?

He flushed. Why did his mind keep going back to that?

Videl quirked her eyebrows at him and tilted her head in silent inquiry. He chuckled nervously.

"Anyway, let's get started with today's session."

She gave him a long look, as though she was trying to figure out what was on his mind. He flashed her an awkward smile, scratching his hair.

In the end, Videl shrugged. "Alright. What do we work on today?"

He smiled as he got into his teacher role. "Flying, of course." He loved the way her eyes lit up at his answer. It was so cute how excited Videl was about flying. "You already know the basics, and I bet you've been practicing since last night. So, for a start, let's see what you can do."

Videl nodded her head. Her brow furrowed in concentration as she summoned her ki. Gohan frowned as she started hovering, but her hold on her ki was shaky and she only managed to float a couple feet off the ground.

"Videl, did you get any rest before our session? Don't tell me you've been training all this time?"

She lowered herself onto the ground and looked away blushing, scratching her cheek. "I… uh…"

Gohan let out a deep sigh. "I can't help you if your energy tank is almost empty, Videl. You need to rest at least one hour before our sessions."

"I, uh… kinda lost track of time."

He couldn't help cracking a smile at that. Videl really loved martial arts, huh?

"How about we go see a movie first so you can get some rest, and then we'll have our training session?" he suggested. "Since I'm free today."

Her eyes lit up, but then she looked down at herself and frowned. "I'm not really dressed for a date, though… And I've been training all day… I, uh, I kinda need a shower."

He chuckled. "If you feel uncomfortable like this, then how about we make a stop at your place first? We've got time."

She broke into a broad smile, and Gohan felt his heart glow. How he loved that smile.

Gohan let his fingers brush along the spines lined on Videl's shelves. She had a lot of books about martial arts or written by famous martial artists. He smiled as he saw a familiar name. He didn't know Master Roshi had published philosophy essays. He picked up the book and sat on an armchair around the coffee table, curious as to what his father's martial arts teacher had written about.

Gohan soon found himself tuning out the world around him as he read. Master Roshi had quite a nice prose. He talked about what martial arts meant, why it was important to keep training to cleanse your body and soul, that even if you thought you became the strongest, there would always be someone stronger than you out there, and that you should never slack off.

It kinda felt like the elder master was berating him. Gohan hadn't been training seriously since he became the strongest being in the universe at the age of ten. Since then, he got pretty rusty. Vegeta had long surpassed him, and Piccolo was probably stronger than his base form now, too, or he could at least give him a run for his money.

Gohan frowned slightly in thought. Yes, he may have slacked off for the past decade, but getting into martial arts had never been his choice to begin with. He was thrown into it by force because the situation had demanded it at the time; because he had potential and was a valuable asset in battle, and the world needed him. Gohan admitted that training was indeed good for the body and soul, and he supposed that fighting was probably fun when it wasn't a battle to the death ━ not that he had much experience in that kind of fighting.

But maybe he ought to get back to training a little more seriously. There was a reason Videl loved martial arts so much, after all, and maybe he would feel closer to her if he could understand why she was so passionate about it. Gohan cracked a smile. That was a good reason to get back to training, if anything.

Where could he fit it in his busy schedule, though? He was already behind on his thesis because he had been spending time with Videl instead of working on it for the past couple days. Although, Gohan supposed he didn't have to rush to get his third PhD like the first two. He was only nineteen years old (according to his birthdate, anyway); people were usually still in college at his age. If he took a little longer to complete his thesis, that wouldn't make much of a difference in his career plan. It just pushed it back a tiny bit. That wasn't a bad thing, right?

He was mentally putting together a new schedule to include some time for his own personal training when Videl called him. Gohan stood and put the book on the coffee table, taking a few steps toward the archway leading to the corridor.

"Do you need anything?" he asked.

He heard the click of a door. Walking into the hallway, he saw the bathroom door cracked open.

"I… uh… I forgot to get a towel…"

Gohan's eyes widened and his face flared up. Did… Did that mean…? Was Videl…? He swallowed thickly as his imagination came alive without his consent. Was she… not wearing anything right now?

"Could you please bring me one? They're drying outside, on the balcony. I forgot I did the laundry…"

Gohan shook his head sharply, trying to shoo away the images flashing through his head ━ of Videl, right now, behind that door. Flushed, wet, naked.

"Y-Yes, of c-course. B… Be right back…"

He covered his crimson face with his hand as he turned around and walked to the balcony. Why did his mind have to go there…?

Sliding the glass door open, he stepped outside on the balcony and let out a deep sigh. The cool spring air helped clear his head. Gohan went to the dryer and unpinned a towel, before getting back inside and going to the bathroom to give it to Videl.

He knocked softly. "I got you a towel."

The door was cracked open again and an arm glistening with droplets of water slid through the small gap. Gohan swallowed thickly, willing his mind not to picture Videl naked on the other side of the door as he handed her the towel.

"Thank you," she said, her voice small, before closing the door.

His heart was pounding hard in his chest. Gohan turned away and went back to the living room, collapsing on the couch. He leaned his head on the backrest, eyes glazing over as he stared at the ceiling. His face felt hotter than ever. His heartbeat still wouldn't calm down.

And his mind kept conjuring images of the beautiful girl in the bathroom despite his best effort not to. He couldn't help it. Over the past few days, he had caught himself staring at Videl's amazing figure more than once. She was slim and toned, as one would expect of a professional athlete, but she also had very nice curves ━ her hips, her butt, her chest… It was hard not to notice just how perfect her body was.

And after that towel incident, it was really, really hard not to picture what Videl looked like after a shower.

Closing his eyes, Gohan massaged his forehead and groaned. He felt awful. He hated that he was objectifying Videl like this. Yes, she was absolutely gorgeous, and he was madly attracted to her, but that wasn't all she was or the only reason he liked her. Videl was so much more than just a beautiful girl ━ she was strong, and determined, and independent, and incredibly talented; she was so much fun to be with, and so easy to talk to. She was kind, and understanding, and so very special. Videl was beautiful inside and out, and she deserved better than a perverted boyfriend who couldn't help picturing her naked.

"Um… Gohan?"

He sat upright with a jolt, his eyelids fluttering as he turned to look at Videl. She was flushed, a sheepish smile on her lips. Gohan swallowed hard, feeling his blush come back full force as his gaze trailed down, unable to stop himself from staring at her figure. It didn't help that she was wearing a white, cropped tee-shirt with a pair of high-waisted, skinny jeans that highlighted her shapely legs. The outfit was so simple, but on Videl anything would look amazing.

"You look so… beautiful." His voice was barely above a whisper. He felt breathless. He couldn't believe that this girl, this… goddess was actually his girlfriend.

She averted her gaze and tucked a few humid strands behind her ear, her cheeks tinged with rose petals. "Thanks."

He felt a pinch in his chest. Her reaction was adorable. Gohan got up from the couch and walked over to her, feeling like a magnet attracted to its opposite pole. He brushed her bangs with the tip of his fingers, and Videl bit her lip.

The simple action drew his gaze to her mouth. Gohan felt his throat tighten as he felt the overwhelming urge to lean in and taste her enticing lips. His heart was hammering hard against his ribcage.

"Can I… Can I kiss you?"

He didn't know what possessed him to ask such a thing, and Gohan was positive he never gave the go-ahead to his mouth when the words slipped out.

Videl looked at him with wide eyes, her lips parted, her face glowing bright crimson. Gohan cupped her cheek and started leaning in; his thumb brushed her cherry lips before he could help himself.

Goodness, he couldn't stand it. He wanted to kiss her so badly.

His nose almost touched hers when he paused. His breathing was heavy, ragged; so was hers. Her sharps, shallow breaths were tickling his lips, causing his desire for her to burn ever stronger.

"Can I?" he murmured. No matter how much he craved to kiss Videl, Gohan needed her consent before going any further. Even if she was already his girlfriend, that didn't mean she was ready for that step yet. They did just get together, and considering that, just like him, she had never been in a relationship before, it was safe to assume that this would be her very first kiss, too. That was a big deal, as much as for her as it was for him.

She placed her hands on his shoulders and closed her eyes, raising her head slightly and reducing the already small gap between them a little more. Their lips were inches apart. The fresh scent of her shampoo was making him dizzy. His eyes fell shut.

"Yes," she breathed out. "Kiss me, Gohan."

Whoops, cliffhanger again. #SorryNotSorry xDD

Lol, joking aside, I hope you liked the chapter! Feedback is much appreciated as always. :)
