Beads of sweats pop out of Luke's forehead as he struggles to lift the tiny pebble with the force. "I can't do it!" Luke snapped. Ahsoka blinked her eyes in shock as she never heard him yell like that. It was the first day of Jedi training and his task was to lift a pebble from the ground. But so far he was going at it for hours and the pebble still hasn't budgeted. Feeling bad, Luke sighs and bows his head at her. "I'm sorry. That was very rude of me." He apologized
"Luke, you don't have to apologize. It's okay to be frustrated." She assures him. Luke still has his head down in shame. Ahsoka puts her hand on his shoulder and smiles at him. "You're handling this much better than Anakin and I did."
This peaks Luke's interest. "I do?"
"Oh yes. When your father and I were frustrated, we practically threw temper tantrums. You should've seen me when I couldn't open up the Jedi hologram. Three Jedi masters had to drag me away from it."
Luke is now chuckling while holding his sides. His cheeks became a beautiful shade of pink, making Ahsoka blush herself. Skyguy Jr looks like an angel and is nothing like Anakin. For that I'm glad, Ahsoka thought.
"I'm ready to try again, Master Ahsoka." Luke smiles. Ahsoka nodded in acknowledgement, still not used to being called a master. Luke took a deep breath and went back to concentration. He pictured the Force surrounding him and guiding his mind to lift the pebble. When he opened his eyes, he saw the pebble floating in front of him. This makes him jump up in joy with a huge smile on his face! "I did it!"
Ahsoka ruffles his blonde locks, "You sure did, Skyguy Jr." Luke twirls around and with a flicking his wrist, a giant boulder is now floating up next to the small pebble. "Oh my!" She gasped.
"I'm already a master at the force! Now I can lift the Millennium Falcon!" Luke beams. He was about to run where the ship is stationed, when Ahsoka stops him.
"Woah, hold it right there. Lifting the Falcon is a little advance for you. Besides, if that ship gets destroyed, we'll be stranded here forever."
"But I thought you said size doesn't matter."
"It doesn't...when you're a master. Right now you're only a youngling."
"So when can you teach me how to use a lightsaber and do the fancy twirling techniques?"
"Not until you master your meditation, Skyguy Jr." Ahsoka said as she gently pokes at his temple. "In order to be a great Knight, you need to have a concentrated mind."
Luke crossed his arms and pouted. This made Ahsoka remind her of Anakin when Obi Wan would put a stop to Anakin's shenanigans. Luke walked over to the fallen boulder and sat down. "What are you waiting for, Master? Let's meditate!" He sweetly beams. Ahsoka smiled and nodded. She lifted another boulder and set it in front of Luke. She sat crossed legged and closed her eyes.
"Take a deep breath, Luke. Now clear your thoughts and concentrate solely on my voice." She began.
Admiral Piett is one of, if not the only officer in the entire Empire to see their Emperor like this. And live to tell the tale. But he won't since he respects his Emperor. Plus, he feels if he told someone, Vader will know and end his life.
Vader is on his knees in Luke's room clutching his angel's plush Bantha. It looks like a typhoon went through Luke's room. His bed is hanging on the ceiling, the window glass is scattered throughout the floor, the poor droids were ripped apart, the lights are flickering to keep shining, and his toys are nowhere to be seen.
Piett cleared his throat, gaining Vader's attention. The Emperor looks at the Admiral with teared streak eyes. It was obvious he has been crying for the past week. Piett didn't have a reaction to this. He instead has a neutral face.
"What is it?" Vader spoke.
"Our probes show the rebels aren't hiding in the Outer Rims nor in the Mid Rims region." Piett answers. Vader didn't say anything. He instead tightens the hold of Sandy the Bantha. How Vader hated that name. When Luke named the plush, Vader wanted to veto it, but didn't have the heart to destroy his precious son's smile. Seeing Vader getting distracted, Piett cleared his throat again. "My lord, I believe the Rebels are hiding in plain sight. They could be hiding in one of the Core Worlds." He stated.
"You may be on to something." Vader agrees. He gets up and looks around Luke's room before his yellow eyes land on a nearby droid. "Have this droid inspected. Whoever kidnapped my little one might have let their location slip." He orders.
Piett bows at Vader before picking up the droid's memory chip and leaving. Vader looks around his little one's room and feels an overflowing amount of guilt. "By the Force what have I done?" He gasped. He stretched out his arm and levitated the bed down on the floor. In my grief and anger I destroyed my little angel's room, Vader thought. He'll need to have his room fixed before Luke returns home. He lifts Sandy up by the Force and leaves the room.
Han couldn't believe it's been a month since they rescued Luke from his father. Living here in Ahch-To has been hell. There's nothing to do here since it's devoid of human and alien life. The only entertainment here is watching Ahsoka and the kid practicing their magic. Though he has to admit Luke has been improving on his magic. He went from lifting rocks to being able to read minds.
"He's not reading your mind, Han. You're simply projecting your feelings out loud for Luke to hear." Ahsoka corrected him.
Han knows this Force thing is an invasion of privacy. But he can't help feeling impressed when Luke or Ahsoka can feel when danger is coming. Like when the cliff they were standing on collapsed when Luke started wailing that they needed to get out of here. Now he's watching Ahsoka blindfold the kid with a rag.
"What are you doing?" Han asked.
Luke removes the blindfold a bit, showing his right eye. "I'm starting my lightsaber training today!" He beams. Ahsoka nodded before fixing the blindfold and handed him one for her lightsabers.
"He's going to deflect blasters with my lightsaber." She explains.
"While blindfolded?" Han asked.
"He'll have the Force to guide him." She replied. Ahsoka holds an orb up and it floats in front of Luke. The orb shoots out a laser at him, which makes Luke shriek and drops the lightsaber. The togruta puts her hand on his floppy hair and gently ruffles it. "It's okay, Lukey. You have the Force to guide you." Ahsoka assures him.
Luke took a deep breath and nodded. The orb shot out a blaster and Luke deflected it. He smiles when he feels the blade hit the blaster. Two more blasters shot out of the orb. Luke swings right above his head before turning his body to his left to block the second one.
"Make it go faster!" Luke exclaims.
"No, Luke. You promised we would go at a slow pace." Ahsoka said.
"Aw, but it'll be so boring." Luke whines.
"Come one. Let the kid have his fun." Han piped up.
"Yeah, I don't want to do it so slowly. I want to have fun." Luke added.
"This isn't supposed to be fun. I'm sorry, boys. But I'm the master and we're taking it at a slow pace." Ahsoka said. Luke grumbles in disappointment, but doesn't protest any further. I take it back. I see a bit of Anakin in him, Ahsoka thought.
Luke gasps when he feels Ahsoka's disappointment. "I'm sorry, Master Ahsoka. I'll be a better student." He promised. Before Ahsoka could respond, Luke resumed his training. I can't behave like that again. I refuse to turn out like father, Luke thought. His lightsaber continued for another hour when he heard Chewie roaring. He removed his blindfold to see Ahsoka and Han looking worriedly at each other. "What's going on? What did he say?" Luke asked.
"Chewie just informed us that we ran out of food supply and this planet has no animals to hunt. Which means one of us has to go to a nearby planet and buy some food." Han explains.
"And we can't go because we're all wanted." Luke realized. Chewie lets out another roar.
"You're right, Chewie! Not all of us!" Ahsoka exclaims.
"Of course! Why didn't I think of it! Chewie can go since he doesn't have a wanted poster." Han smiles.
"And Chewie can take my ship since they'll recognize the Falcon." Ahsoka added. Once again, Chewie roared and that made Ahsoka and Han slump down in depression.
"Now what did he say?" Luke asked.
"We don't have any credits." Han and Ashoka answered at the same time.
"But what about the Alliance reward money they gave you? Surely that's enough to cover for food." Luke questioned.
"I don't have the credits on me. They transfer the money to my account, which I don't have access to since I'm a fugitive of the Empire." Han explains.
An idea pops into Luke's head. He dashes towards the Falcon, leaving the three of them in the dust. Minutes later he comes back holding something. He reveals to them a navy blue robe adorned with diamonds and a crystal blue jewel pendant he was wearing on the day he was rescued.
"Father made sure all the fabric and jewelry I'm wearing comes from the best materials in the galaxy. I'm sure these are worth a planet and can possibly feed all the planet's citizens. I'm sure Chewie will have no problem selling these." Luke stated.
"You're alright with selling them, Kid?" Han asked.
Luke looks down at the jewel pendant and robe." I have no attachment to these. To me they're a fancy shackle." He answered. Luke hands them over to Chewie and puts back his blindfold. "Enough distractions. Let's continue my training, Master."
Ahsoka regains her composure and throws her datapad at Chewie. "May the Force be with you, Chewbacca."
