I got to admit that I didn't think of doing two chapters in one evening, but here we go! I crave reviews and follows for the support! I only own my OCs. Some good will come of this chapter… for now.

Third Person POV:

The Monstars, Tunes, and the girls looked at the sparkling golden liquid in the bottle that Elise was holding. We were all joined together downstairs in the infirmary beside Hale and Pound, their forms still in a deep sleep state.

"So what will this do for Hale and Pound, Elise? Will it wake them up?" Maddie inquired with piqued curiosity. Bang raised a brow ridge as his girlfriend looked over at the kind and reserved healer.

Elise gave a small nod. "Yes, but it will not happen immediately as one would hope. Thanks to you and Mika, along with Daffy, Bugs, Lexi, and them three, we at least found a source to counter the effects of this dilemma."

Bupkus, who was balancing Marie in one of his arms, was still confused. "So how will we know when this potion will work and if it will work?" Elise glanced over at the sleeping forms on the medical beds. "I don't know. This is the first time that this potion will be put to the test. But the books retrieved from the library confirmed its legitimacy and will for certain work. After all, they are ancient texts documented by Merlin himself."

Nada gasped in shock. "Merlin?! The great wizard from King Arthur's time? I thought that was myth!"

"Well, now I know we've seen and heard just about everything. I wouldn't be surprised if necromancy is still a thing!" Maddie blatantly spoke, crossing her arms across her chest. Bang was impressed. "As cool as it sounds, I don't think bringing the dead is even possible."

Elise grimaced. "Sadly, it is. These other tomes were written by Morgan Le Fay herself, and she transcribed over several pages on how to bring the dead back to life. However, she was at least careful enough to ensure specific instructions to ensure that when doing so, that it can be done appropriately-", she was cut off by the sound of squeaks and gasps.

Maddie, Bang, and the other's eyes nearly boggled out of their skulls. Daffy squaked in shock "Hold on! There'sth necromancy, too?! Let'sth not dwell on that or even hope we reach that point, huh?"

Elise nodded. "I whole-heartedly agree, Daffy. Just imagine if these tomes got into the wrong hands. Thankfully, this is not the case since Pound and Hale are still alive."

Mika shuddered. "I do not want my beau to come back as a zombie, thank you very much!" Elise shook her head. "This particular spell won't bring him back as a zombie because he isn't dead! Also, there is another version of necromancy that is safer to use. It's a resurrection spell! Merlin made some adjustments to this resurrection spell; it's meant to restore the body of the deceased to how it formerly was prior to the time of death or impacted death, and this other adjustment to the same spell will also ensure the safe restoration of the soul belonging to the departed. However, there is a catch-"

"Nah, girl! Let's not get way over our heads about this hoo-doo, voo-doo, Shadow Man nonsense! I think we will just stick to knowing about your potion, yeah?" Lexi cried, getting goosebumps just thinking about it. The last thing they would want, or even need, is for one of their friends to cross to the other side.

Kari, on the other hand, was curious. "What's the catch?" Lexi and a few others gawked at her. "Kari, you can't seriously be interested in investing time over this black magic stuff, right?"

However, Kari kept steady. "It's not like we will use it, so relax. What's the catch, Elise?"

Elise gave a small frown and shook her head. "Don't worry, Kari. It's like you said, we won't be having any need for it." She gave a small awkward laugh, feeling ridiculous about bringing it up to begin with.

Eager to change the topic and air around them, the healer brought hers and everyone else's attention back to the potion. "This potion is meant to counter the effects of any serious damage inflicted upon the body and restore all vitals to their normal functioning levels. Think of it like those potions you use to restore a fallen teammate in video games, sort of."

"Okay, at least we know its functions and it gives some comfort in knowing this was all researched on. But what about the weapon? Do we still have any idea about it?", Kari asked in retrospect.

Nawt glanced over at the monitors of their computer screens that have been processing the data from the compounds and origins of its manufacturer. "So far, we've only reached about 60% completion on that. The materials look like they ae made of plutonium, cryptomium, and some moonstone ore, but there's a fourth component missing that's taking the process much longer to recognize."

Blanko, squinting at the screen, scratched his head. It looks vaguely familiar.

Elise cleared her throat. "Essentially, the recovery process, once the potion is distributed, should take no more than about a couple days to a week, maximum. So that's the positive side of it. But that's just based on the general scope of this potion's capabilities according to the text. I cannot guarantee for certain if it will be sooner or even later."

Kari nodded. "As long as it brings them back. That's what matters."

Everyone agreed with the red head female, as their healer began to carefully disperse equal amounts of the potion into their IVs. Once completed, she topped the empty potion bottle and sighed.

"And now, we wait."

Elise stayed over at Monstars Manor that evening, reserving a guest room that's closest to the stairs in case she needed to go down and check on her patients. Lexi and Bupkus agreed to stay as well, keeping Marie with them. Nada, Maddie, and Mika left back to the real world for the time being, each having to go home and take care of simple matters before they could aid further, as well as getting rest of their own. Kari and Nawt left back to the Rodgers household, with Kari keeping tabs with Elise on anything and everything that could happen within the time allotted for the potion to work.

Elise went downstairs one more time before turning in for the night to check Pound's and Hale's vitals. Much to her surprise, the potion seemed to be working!

Their condition has stabilized drastically, and both show normal wavelengths in their oscilloscopes. This pleased the healer immensely and gave her a spark of hope.

She walked over to Hale's bedside and gently stroked the side of his sleeping face. "Thank goodness, Hale. It looks like you and Pound are pulling through wonderfully…"

Her voice trailed off as she noticed how is breathing was more evened out. It was starting to look more like he was asleep than nearly dead.

She shook her head and perished the thought. She refused to even come to such a belief. She glanced down once more and sighed, a blush appearing on her cheeks. She slowly bent down and placed a kiss on his cheek. "I love you, Hale." She declared, her heart fluttering with joy. She gasped slightly at what happened next; Hale's eyes were twitching, and he mumbled. He mumbled her name.

Back at the Rodgers residence, Kari just finished stepping out of the shower and dressed in her nightclothes. She wore a black silk spaghetti strap nightgown with a transparent silk robe that has printed roses on it, along with her white slippers.

She blushed as she looked in the bathroom vanity at her reflection. She trailed her fingers lightly over the small scarring on the crook where her shoulder and neck meet. She started to recall Nawt's passionate advances and how gentle he was, only to have her mind trail to other details of what had transpired and what could have been had the others not arrived when they did.

She then looked over what she was wearing and blushed. 'Get a grip, Kari! You're dressed like for your honeymoon night or something!'

She then realized what she just thought and flushed a bright shade of red. "Maybe I should change pajamas?" she asked herself. After a moment of debate, she shrugged it off and opened the vanity cabinet to put away her night creams and ointments. After closing it, did she notice Nawt behind her, his eyes wide in awe and looking her over in her nightly attire.

Kari let out a squeak and turned around to face her lover. The Monstar chucked, his eyes drinking in every inch of her slender and curvy body wrapped in nothing but silk. His imagination was already running wild.

His red-head girlfriend cleared her throat, hoping to knock him out of his stupor. He raised a brow ridge in response, a dreamy smile displayed over his handsome alien features. 'Nawt, stop staring!' she mentally screamed.

"Uh, should we get ready for bed now?" she asked bashfully. Her verbiage certainly didn't help either. Nawt took this opportunity and grinned. "Yours or mine?"

Her face made a " 'o' ", causing the alien to snort and laugh at the sight. He adored teasing her!

Kari placed her hands on her hips with a scowl. "That wasn't funny."

Nawt continued in fits of giggles. "Sorry, baby. You left yourself wide open on that one. I couldn't resist." The young woman sighed and smiled, giggling a bit herself.

Then she smirked silently to herself. She sauntered over to the red Monstar, her hips swaying as she walked up to him. This caught him off guard, as he stopped laughing abruptly. She saw that he was shirtless again (knowing well enough that is how he sleeps), and glided her hands up his chest, up to his neck and back down to rest on his pectorals. She felt the live hard muscle beneath the skin beneath her cool fingertips, causing his breath to hitch. She fluttered her hazel eyes like a damn Bambi and gazed up at him, her lips fixed in a small and subtle pout.

Nawt's eyes went wide like saucers, and he stood there looking down at his woman like the goddess she was. His mind stopped working at once, as she caressed his chest and slowly glided her hands up to cup his strong face. He felt his heart skip a few beats and his ears lowered down, his breathing becoming erratic.

She carefully brought his face down level with hers, her lips only a few centimeters away from his. He was about to close his eyes when she placed a finger over his lips and said in the most seductive voice she could muster "Goodnight, you animal, you."

She bit her lip for added effect and then turned towards the direction of her room.

However, what she wasn't expecting was the immediate pull of her wrist as Nawt yanked her back, pinning her against him. "Oh, no. That's not fair at all, love. We're sleeping in my room now." His breath was ragged and low.

'So much for that plan!' But Kari was more entertained by the idea of being with him for the night. 'It's not like it's the first time I spent the night with him, anyways…'

He scooped up the petite girl and carried her bridal style to the room he was staying in, the light already dimmed. He placed her gently on the bed and soon joined her. She kicked off her slippers, while Nawt entertained himself in helping to remove her robe. Once the outer garment was discarded, he gently rubbed her shoulders and trailed kisses up her shoulder up to her neck and back to the same spot he bit her.

He kissed it gently before biting down gently over the spot, a sigh escaping his lips. Kari's breath hitched, her skin feeling warm at the sensation. However, rather than carrying on with his ministrations, he kissed her on the lips and pulled them down onto the mattress, turning off the light and holding her close. Kari was slightly taken aback, and as if he read her mind, he whispered softly in her ear, "There will be more of that later, my love. But for now, let's just try to get some shut eye. I love you."

Kari hummed happily, her hands gently resting over his. "Goodnight, Nawt. Sweetest dreams and I love you too."

She fell quickly into a deep sleep before him, while the alien gazed down at her with such love, stroking his finger gently down her countenance. "Sweetest dreams to you as well, my dearest wife." He trailed his finger down to the scar at the base of her neck, which mirrored his perfectly.

From a tree outside the window of the bedroom, the menacing figure that kept watch chuckled sinisterly. "Soon, the plan will fall into place. Once I obtain the tome of Morgan Le Fay, I can finally bring back that dimwit brother of mine. And as for you, sweet child, there's a purpose for you to serve. Oh, how I will revel in it, as I will have the world fall to its knees, and you…" He looked down at a spider he had in his hand, watching it make a slow crawl, before crushing it entirely with malicious force.
