Santana POV

Quinn made her way into my room and I was about to curse her out when I smelt the coffee that she had brought with her, thankfully two cups worth. She knew the way to my heart. Quinn drew back the blankets and climbed into bed beside me, adjusting the pillows to her liking.

"So…" she began, and I knew instantly where this was headed. "How was your date?" She asked, her voice teasing. I sighed contently before replying.

"It was good, great actually. I was pleasantly surprised, especially after all my fears. Dani did everything right; she picked me up, she wouldn't let me pay for a single thing, and she did everything in her power to make sure I was comfortable. She even walked me home."

"Wow that does sound nice. I'm happy for you S. So big question is, did you kiss…again?" She said referring to our drunken dare as our first kiss.

"No, but that's okay. I'm not sure I was ready and I think she sensed that. But there will definitely be another date. In fact, I have to work later but I think I want to drop by and see Dani first. I hate that she's had to put all the effort in."

"Softie," Q chuckled. I couldn't help but think Dani definitely brought that out in me.

I knocked on Dani's door and waited impatiently for her to open the door. The door swung open after what seemed like an eternity. My eyebrows furrowed as confusion overtook me. Standing in very skimpy sleepwear was a girl; only problem is it wasn't Dani.

"Oh sorry," I apologized, "I was looking for someone else."

"Who ya looking for sweet cheeks?" The girl asked me.

"Um…D-Dani."

"Oh right, yeah she's still in bed," she told me flippantly. "You can come in if you want."

I declined the invite. No way was I about to enter the most awkward situation of my life. Dani, her girlfriend, and me…no thank you. I turned quickly on my heels, storming towards the elevator. I heard Dani's voice calling out for me just as the elevator doors closed. Thank goodness for timing.

It had been a long shift. My emotions were draining me and I couldn't wait to get out of here. I was cleaning one of the tables when I heard the bell over the door ring out. Glancing over I was put off by the fact it was Dani walking through the door. It's not exactly like I could hide from her at my place of work.

"Santana," she called out to me softly as she made her way over. "Why did you rush off this morning?"

"Really?" I asked shocked. "Dani I don't know what you're used to but I don't do open relationships." She went to speak but I cut her off. "Wait, I know we're not in a relationship but I'm still not about to see if there's something between us when you're already involved. I've been hurt before and I'll be damned if…"

Dani clamped her hand over her mouth. After she muffled a few of my words I stopped talking all together. My eyes were wide with shock as to what exactly was going on.

"Sorry," she chuckled. "I didn't know how else to shut you up." Her voice was light hearted, only causing me more confusion. "Santana that was my roommate Anna…" she waited for me to put the pieces together. "As in my friend….who lives with me…that I don't have sex with…"

"Oh," was the only thing I could get out when she hesitantly removed her hand from my mouth.

"Anna is the same to me as Quinn is to you…I mean you're not sleeping with Quinn are you?" Her question was rhetorical but the fact she'd caught sight of my pause meant I'd have to explain this one.

"Well uh…no…I mean yes but it was just once and it was a long time ago."

"Okay…" she breathed deeply. "I guess we can talk about that later. For now can we just agree that I'm not messing you around? I want this Santana. I want you. But I also need you to give me the benefit of the doubt."

"I guess I'm used to jumping to conclusions. My last relationship…well I kind of poured my entire being into doing everything I could for her, I loved her, and well by the end of it it was clear she didn't feel the same."

"I'm sorry for that, I truly am." Dani ran her hands up my arms reassuringly. "I don't want to hurt you Santana so if you're not ready for this then I'll wait."

"No," I uttered out. "I don't want her to stop me from moving on. I like you Dani, and last night was perfect. Just be patient with me okay?"

"I can do that," she said nodding. "I guess I better let you get back to work." Her pout was so adorable; I wasn't quite ready to let her out of my sight.

"Wait," I said clutching at her hand, preventing her from leaving. She looked at me, waiting for me to speak, to give her a reason to stay. All I wanted to do though was show her, without words, how happy I was she came down here. I held her face in my hands, stroking her soft skin slowly. I sought permission, and found it, in her eyes. Leaning forward I pushed my lips to hers. They were as soft as I remembered and I savored the way they felt against mine. We kept it short and sweet, satisfying all the same.

"Mmm, now I'll let you go."
