Santana had sulked around the apartment for two days now. Quinn had expected as much and thankfully, had helped Dani with a plan that didn't involve having to drag Santana against her will to Dani's concert that night. Quinn may have been Santana's best friend and as a result was sure that Santana would consider what she did backstabbing but deep down Quinn knew that Dani was right for Santana and that if Santana would stop being so stubborn then she'd see it too.

Santana wrapped herself in a blanket as she sat on the couch channel surfing, purposefully flicking over the channel that would televise Dani's concert. The sad thing was that this night was a big deal for Dani, and under normal circumstances this would be the perfect opportunity to play the proud, supportive girlfriend. Unfortunately, the events of two days ago meant that Santana didn't consider herself to have a girlfriend, let alone one that deserved her support. That didn't stop her heart from hurting though; despite being hurt she still missed the girl's physical affection, her cheeky comments, and all the moments spent together.

"Can I choose something?" Quinn asked plopping herself down next to Santana.

"Sure, it's not like there's anything good on anyway," Santana replied sullenly as she handed Q the remote.

"Oh I don't know about that," Quinn whispered, almost under her breath.

"NO! Absolutely not Q!" Santana demanded as she realized what her friend was headed towards.

"Santana Lopez you sit your ass down. Now you will watch this for the next five minutes and you will not complain."

Santana's eyes widened in shock. Rarely did Quinn bring out her HBIC around her.

"Five minutes, but it won't change anything," she relented.

With arms crossed Santana watched as Dani took the stage. Her girlfriend...ex-girlfriend (?)...looked the part as she took the stage. Dressed in her usual ripped jeans and combat boots with a new top Santana hadn't seen before she approached the microphone. Unlike her previous performances Santana could swear she saw nervousness in the girl's eyes, she shook it off though, sure that she shouldn't care.

"How y'all doing tonight? Thanks for all the support, I really appreciate it. Before I start though there's just someone else I need to thank too. See there's this girl..."

Even through the TV Santana and Quinn could hear the fans, some gasping from surprise, others cheering in the background.

"and over the last two months she has turned my world upside down. More so than even music she makes me happy and my heart rate double. I made a mistake though...I hurt her. It's my biggest regret in life because she was my biggest achievement. I've got a song to sing for her and I'm sure it will resonate with many of you as I hope it will for her. This is for you babe-I'm so sorry."

Santana blinked multiple times as her face furrowed in confusion. She didn't know how to feel. There Dani was coming out to the world really in an effort to win her back. She didn't argue when Quinn turned up the volume, only inching forward on the couch to really watch what was transpiring.

Not really sure how to feel about it
Something in the way you move

Makes me feel like I can't live without you.
It takes me all the way

I want you to stay.

Ooh, ooh, ooh, the reason I hold on
Ooh, ooh, ooh, 'cause I need this hole gone
Funny you're the broken one but I'm the only one who needed saving
'Cause when you never see the light it's hard to know which one of us is caving.

Judging by the lyrics, and Dani's broken demeanor, Santana realized she was hurting too. What did that mean though? She wasn't sure that excused anything? The only difference between this and Lauren was that, despite the hurt, Santana felt herself wanting to give Dani the benefit of the doubt that what she felt was true. Waking her from her thoughts Quinn handed her an envelope with her name scrawled across it in cursive. Quinn gave her a kiss on the cheek and left her alone in the lounge room to open it. With shaking hands the Latina carefully opened the envelope and pulled out the handwritten letter that sat inside.

Santana,
There is a lot to say but I'd prefer to do it in person. For now there are a few things you need to know. I hope you know me well enough by now to trust that I'd never cheat on you. I know I hurt you and while that was never my intention I accept responsibility for it. I could give up the fans, I could give up the fame and the money. But I can't so easily give you up. So if I need to choose I will. For our relationship, for us, I'd give the rest of it away. I know you want to run, I know that's what your head is telling you, but please babe, listen to your heart. If there is even one reason for you to stay then please do, because I am so unequivocally in love with you. If there is any hope left then please meet me in the gardens where we had our first date. I'll be waiting...all night if it takes that long. I love you.
-Dani.

Quinn watched from behind her bedroom door as Santana paced the lounge room, letter in hand. She hadn't read it but she was sure of what Dani would have written, she could see from the look in Dani's eyes whenever she was around the girl how in love with Santana she was. Quinn had her fingers crossed that as Santana went back and forth on what her next move would be that she chose the right one.
