The unmistakable sounds of an ambush ensued. Kikyo had broken through the demonic barrier that surrounded the celestial palace causing an explosion in the throne room.
"It's Kikyo." Kagome said sensing her counter parts energy. In a flash Inuyasha was out the door. "Inuyasha!"
"Rin, Shippo; take Kagome and Hanna to safety." Sesshomaru ordered. "Sango with me."
"Papa, let me talk with Mikaboshi." Hanna appealed.
"Once the situation has been calmed then…" Turning quickly to the wall he took out the Bakusaiga standing in front of his family and friends. Deflecting the spiritual energy blast that sent chunks of debris flying in every direction while Kagome put up a barrier to further protect them.
"Kagome, you can't use your spiritual awareness." Rin said quickly.
"I'm not just gonna stand here and do nothing!" She retorted grasping Hanna and picking her up as she dropped the barrier. Inuyasha was what had crashed through the wall injured from Kikyo's purifying abilities.
Still attached to Hojo Mikaboshi appeared. Kagome gasped at the state of her friend and held her daughter more tightly to her. His pallor was a sickly grey as his eyes were black where the whites once were and his kind brown orbs were a malicious red.
"I have found you Kagome." He nearly hissed out. Turning his attention to Sesshomaru he smirked. "Now I know the truth about you Ishida, or whatever you call yourself…about both of you."
"Mikaboshi, stop this." Hanna appealed. "You don't have to fight anymore."
"Kannon." He said
"Yes. We can settle this once and for all. No more fighting." She appealed.
"No." His hosts eyes flicked back to Kagome. "She will pay for leading me on. For ignoring me!"
"He's lost control of the chaos in Hojo." Hanna said. "The human is controlling Mikaboshi now."
A darkness swept over them both emitted from Hojo. Sesshomaru turned wrapping his arms around his family as they were all swallowed by it. When it dissipated they were gone.
"No!" Rin cried out. Sango seized Hojo by the collar angrily as Inuyasha was still down for the count.
"What have you done with them?!" She screamed shaking him violently. Hojo smirked at her maliciously.
"Mikaboshi. Take back your control! Your host has endangered your mate!" Shippo shouted grasping Rin close to him.
"Kannon." He ground out. Clutching his head Hojo screamed in pain. Sango let him go as inky tendrils bled away from his body to create a form behind as he fell to the ground in a heap.
As Hojo trembled on the ground Mikaboshi took shape. The tendrils formed long black locks of wavy onyx hair. He was of Sesshomarus height with piercing red eyes.
He wore a black kimono that hung open to expose his chest and hakamas both with red trim. Armor plated shoulders and wrists with an ornamental belt held a sword at his side.
"I underestimated this human. It has been a long time since I have been able to use my powers." He said staring down at Hojo.
Inuyasha stood pointing the Tessaiga at him. "Where are they?!"
"I do not know. I am not a mind reader." Mikaboshi replied. "All of my knowledge that I possess along with the priestesses was shared collectively between the three of us while we were connected but other than that I cannot say."
"You seem awfully calm for someone who was just ready to annihilate all of us." Sango stated.
"The human is enamored with Kagome. He wouldn't cause any physical harm." His gaze moved to Seiobo and glared. "For all of your wrongs do not think for a moment that any of it will not be brought to Amaterasu."
"Do you not think creature that our divine goddess does not know of your capture and imprisonment for attempting to corrupt Kannon?"
"Corrupt her? She was to be my bride! Kanzeon Bosatsu is my other half as our makers saw fit. Until you intervened with and became nothing more than a mortal demons whore!" He spat out.
"This is getting us nowhere. Look buddy I hear ya' but right now we should be looking for them." Inuyasha quipped. "Wake up Hojo." Kicking lightly at him with his foot did nothing. He was out cold.
"The well." Kikyo whispered from her kneeling position on the ground. "He sent them through the well."
"What?" Rin nearly shrieked. "Then, where…where are they?"
"I don't know." She replied.
"But they're together, right?" Sango asked with tears forming in her eyes. "I mean they vanished together so they're together."
"Yeah. They gotta be." Inuyasha said. "There's no way Sesshomaru would have let them go."
Without a further word Mikaboshi became a wispy cloud of darkness and sped away from the palace to head to the shrine that housed this well.
Sent through the well the family had arrived roughly a century behind their original point as Sesshomaru had been able to break through the corridor of time before they were sent too far into the past.
With sparingly small detail he had corresponded with himself explaining the situation to which his counterpart was more than willing to lend them aid in the form of cash flow, just as he himself had done.
"You knew about this, this whole time?" Kagome questioned resting her hand on her overly pregnant stomach. They had settled with Hanna in the countryside. A smaller home to avoid attention and detection not wanting to take complete advantage of the others generosity.
They had a small farm that they tended to for the time being to sustain themselves and sell off in the town that was some distance away.
"I was aware that at some point we would be traveling back in time, yes. I did not know when or the details surrounding it." He replied sitting comfortably in his chair.
Kagome rocked in her own staring at the fireplace that heated up the sitting room. "I mean it doesn't matter, as long as we're together. There's no one else I want to go through time with."
Closing his eyes Sesshomaru moved from his chair to kneel in front of her stilling the chair she sat in. Placing his face to her stomach he nuzzled her kissing at where their son grew.
Kagome placed her hand to his head and sighed. "I just, I won't be able to be with you for as long as we wanted to be."
"Why do you say that?" Sesshomaru questioned.
"The panchao. Jaken has it in the future." She replied. Standing he smirked at her and went to the small locked cabinet he had built in order to hide away their clothes from the future.
Reaching in he pulled out the fruit. "What? When?"
"Rest assured Kagome, you will be coming with us." Standing she went to her husband and wrapped her arms around him tightly weeping.
"I had thought…I'll eat it now. I can't waste any more time." She stated placing her hand on it.
"Are you certain? We don't know the effect it may have on our pup." He said.
"Rin told me it aged her, four years for every century that she lived until she reached maturity. I'm okay with that. Plus we don't know how long his lifespan will be. At least with this we will know that he'll be with us for at least the next three thousand years." She explained.
"Mate, I certainly will not oppose to an extended pregnancy." Sesshomaru growled out nuzzling her neck. Kagome giggled softly as he placed the fruit in her hand.
"I love you Sesshomaru." Kagome said softly kissing his cheek.
"My priestess, my little one, you are everything to me." He whispered back licking at her mating mark. Gasping as he did so Kagome bit into the panchao.
