Disclaimer: I do not own Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.

The sounds of birds chirping and the warmth of the sunlight on their faces woke both girls up as they both stirred in bed, opening their eyes and smiling at each other.

"Good morning." Faith said.

"Good morning." Willow said as they kissed before pulling away. "I have to admit, last night… I haven't slept like that in a long time."

"So, how were we?" Faith asked as Willow chuckled.

"Well, we didn't bring down the house, so there's that." Willow joked, blushing as Faith laughed.

"I can't believe B. was able to do that with Spike." Faith said as Willow's blush became more intense.

"You know me and Buffy are still paying the rent here and that this is a family house, do you?" Willow reminded.

"Relax, Will. I have my limits." Faith said as she kicked the sheet off, uncovering her naked body and sat down at the edge of the bed.

"I'm just wondering, do you want to do this?" Willow asked as Faith looked at her. "Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that you're here for me and I wish that we'd… treated each other better but… where is this gonna go?"

"Uh…" Faith considered. "I don't know. I mean, can't say I ever was serious with anyone. Robin was just a moron with mommy issues, so I dumped him soon enough. And I've never been good with the… commitment stuff but I wanna give it a shot with you. I mean, we didn't see eye to eye at first but we've grown, haven't we? I don't know where is this gonna go, but I wanna see it through."

They smiled at each other and kissed, holding each other by their cheeks, when they heard the door open.

"Willow, are you a–WHOA!" Buffy turned away, using her hand to shield her eyes from seeing the scene, while Willow pulled the sheet to cover herself, blushing, while Faith just chuckled, amused by their embarrassed reactions and not even bothering to cover herself, allowing for her naked body to be exposed in its natural beauty.

"Buffy!" Willow exclaimed.

"Please, tell me this is just a bad dream." Buffy said uncomfortably, using her hand to shield her eyes from seeing Faith's assets.

"Couldn't you have just knocked first?" Willow asked awkwardly.

"Couldn't you have just locked the door or put a sock on the knob?!" Buffy snapped. "How was I supposed to know that you two were… together?!"

"OK, this is really awkward." Faith chuckled, while Willow and Buffy were just mortified.

Buffy took a breath and swallowed, muffling her groans. Willow and Faith had become closer and more friendlier during the threat of the Bringers and the First Evil, but… well, Buffy certainly wasn't expecting them to become that close. She took a moment to overcome the awkwardness of the situation. "Ugh… I wanted to ask you if you wanted to get breakfast."

"Buffy? Is Willow OK?" Dawn asked from downstairs.

"Everything's fine, Dawnie!" Buffy and Willow exclaimed at once. The last thing they needed was to let Dawn into this embarrassing situation.

"We're good, we'll be right down!" Willow yelled, both her and Buffy embarrassed, while Faith was just amused.

Buffy turned to Willow and Faith with half-closed eyes, while Faith was amused by her awkward reaction. "At least put a shirt on or something, when you get downstairs." She shut the door and took a breath and exhaled in disbelief. "Holy…" She shuddered, trying to purge the scene from her mind.

"You two really gotta loosen up more." Faith said before she turned to Willow. "Maybe we could invite Buffy for a three—"

"Faith!" Willow exclaimed, her face red like a tomato.

"I'm just kidding!" Faith said as Willow grabbed a pillow but Faith dodged and laughed before she ran out before entering the bathroom, while Willow groaned.

"What happened up there?" Dawn asked as Buffy entered the kitchen, completely weirded out.

"Don't ask." Buffy said quickly but the blush on her face and the expression she was making was already making Dawn suspicious as she shuddered, rather not knowing the details if it was what Buffy's embarrassed reaction was implying. They decided to focus on the breakfast, while Willow and Faith went down, with their hair wet and wearing bathrobes, though the way they were looking at each other was making things awkward already. They tried to act casual, outside of Faith, who seemed to mind her own business before Buffy decided to rip the band-aid off as she turned to Willow and Faith. "So… how long—"

"Just last night." Willow said, knowing there was no point denying it now.

"And was it…" Dawn paused. "One-nighter or… are you two for real?"

"It's not… look, I was just worried about Red, that's all. And then… look, we're just trying to figure this out as much as you two." Faith explained, not sure how to put it as Buffy and Dawn nodded in understanding.

"We're just figuring it out. Can't really say it's for real or not." Willow said.

Buffy and Dawn were unsure what to say, considering their history. They at best treated Faith like a charity case, at worst like a complete outcast and if anyone treated Faith good with genuine care, it was Angel and while Buffy and Faith had a complicated relationship, at first they let loose before various choices and circumstances turned them against each other and they had a lot of mutual anger towards each other before they were able to make amends and Dawn had as many reasons to dislike Faith as Buffy before regaining her trust and Willow was one of the friendliest of the Scoobies to Faith. And lately Faith seemed to be good to Willow, so Buffy and Dawn were willing to give them a chance.

"Look, if you two are happy together, I guess we're happy for you. Just… be careful, OK?" Buffy said, neither her or Dawn wanting to see either Willow or Faith get hurt because of each other somehow. And the more they thought about it, they could see that maybe Willow and Faith could be good for each other.

"We're gonna go out shopping, if you want something…" Willow said.

"We'll let you know." Buffy said.

Willow and Faith were walking down the street, when Faith looked around, on guard.

"Everything OK?" Willow asked.

"I was just thinking about… Robin." Faith said after a moment.

"Why would he… I thought you two had broken up." Willow said.

"Yeah. He had become a Watcher and had his own squad of Slayers and we were obviously not gonna continue it but… really, his fascination with Slayers is just creepy. I honestly don't know what the hell was I thinking anymore." Faith said.

"Like with me getting together with Kennedy, despite how she kept pursuing me at first, even though I kept turning her down." Willow said. "I mean, we had some good times together but she kept treating everyone badly and kept being…"

"…a brat?" Faith finished and Willow nodded.

"After Sunnydale, we had some good times and yeah, she was tagging along better with others but then we realized that we… didn't really have anything in common. She wasn't gonna stay with me, when it was obvious that I still missed Tara, so Buffy decided to send her to Japan with Satsu and other Slayers too. She wrote me last week and said she was happy, more or less. She cared about me but realized that it was holding us back." Willow said.

They stopped at a bridge over the river and leaned onto the railing, while looking at their reflection in the water.

"We've come a long way, have we?" Faith asked.

"Yeah." Willow nodded as they looked down at the river. "It would be so easy to get lost in the flow and give into it, would it?"

"So peaceful, let it wash away all your worries." Faith said, when Willow suddenly felt the hair on the back of her neck stand.

"How sweet."

Willow recognized the voice as she and Faith turned around, glaring.

"You." Willow sneered.

"So, after poor little Tara, you find yourself with the renegade Slayer. What is it about you and damaged goods?" Amy asked mockingly.

"What do you want?" Faith demanded.

"It's unbelievable how everyone seems to forgive you and shrug off what you did, like nothing. But what you did… was making Slayers, when most of them don't deserve it, creating a mess, almost destroying the world and yet everyone is still at your side because you're sweet innocent Willow." Amy said.

"So what, you're gonna turn me into that bastard again? That's not gonna work anymore." Willow sneered.

"Maybe… but there are still other ways to hurt you." Amy said, sending Faith sliding down the ground with telekinetic blast.

Willow glared as she raised her hand, cutting the air off Amy's throat before Amy could say an incantation. "I'm not gonna kill you, as much as it would give me big pleasure." Her eyes turned pitch black as she touched Amy's chest, seeming to drain energy from her. "I'm gonna make sure you can't hurt anyone ever again."

"No!" Amy screamed. "Hecate…"

The energy was being drained from her as she was trying to do a spell before Willow let Amy go as she fell on her knees.

"…heed my words…" Amy continued before realizing she didn't feel the magic anymore. "What…" She glared at Willow. "Hecate…" Nothing again. "What did you do?"

"I drained you of your power. No magic, ever again." Willow said.

"There are other ways to hurt you." Amy spat as she pulled out a gun but Faith had recovered and knocked Amy out.

"Shouldn't we get rid of her?" Faith asked.

"She's got no magic anymore. I made sure of it, but we shouldn't take any chances." Willow said as she pulled out her phone. "Hello? It's me. I need your help."

"Without her magic, she shouldn't be a threat anymore, but she's gonna spend the rest of her life locked up in a military detention black site. Riley's got prepared a chopper already." Kennedy said, while her Slayer group was apprehending Amy and putting her into a van, while Amy glared vengefully.

"Thanks." Faith said.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" Kennedy asked as she and Willow went aside. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Really." Willow said.

"No. I meant in general. Buffy wrote me a letter. I was worried." Kennedy said as Willow looked ashamed for a few moments before smiling.

"I appreciate that you're worried but… it's fine. Really." Willow said before looking at Faith before it hit Kennedy.

"Oh." Kennedy said. While she had gotten over Willow and was happy for her, being with Faith of all people was still a difficult pill to swallow and after remembering Buffy decking her one time, Kennedy knew better than to tick Faith off and she had a lot of time to grow up and shed most of her snarky and bratty attitude, but still… "Well… if she's good for you… I'm fine." She chuckled awkwardly.

Amy glared before Kennedy closed the door and drove away with the van.

"At least that's one less problem to deal with." Faith said.

Faith was on her way back home, when she passed by the train station but groaned upon meeting a familiar face. Even though they had broken up, she had to wonder what the hell was he doing here.

"Hey, Faith. I heard what happened." Robin said.

"What do you want?" Faith asked bluntly with crossed arms.

"Look, I know we're not together anymore but…"

"…you were worried about me? I'm touched." Faith said sarcastically. "Look, if you think we can get back together, forget it."

"Faith—"

"I keep telling myself what was I thinking to get together with you since you were so obsessed and fascinated first with B., then me, just because we were both Slayers, just like your Mom was. And don't think I forgive you for trying to kill Spike, especially, when he was not the person who killed your mother anymore." Faith said.

"He was still a vampire. One of those we're supposed to—"

"Things aren't as black-and-white as you think, Robin. He'd been on Buffy's side for years and he was one of our best fighters, also, he had a soul, so he wasn't the person who killed your mother anymore. While I can get why you wanted him dead and was unable to distinguish the difference, I can't believe Giles, but then again, he always saw things in black-and-white. I was able to get past my grudges and make amends and focus on the bigger picture. Could you?" Faith asked and Robin was about to open his mouth but he had no idea how to answer it. "I'm not your Mom and I'm not your property and I'm not gonna get treated like trash. I'd let other people treat me like that far too many times already. If you wanted to check in on me, fine. But don't expect that I'm gonna be your go-to for your personal and parental issues."

Robin had his mouth open but he was unable to form a response to this as Faith turned and walked off.

Wasn't really in a mood to make too big of a confrontation and after killing Warren and what Amy did to Willow, I can absolutely see Willow do this as a payback, in comic books, Amy also put Buffy into magical sleep and Willow knocked her down on her ass big time for it. Originally I was going to stretch this further but didn't want to add unnecessary angsty drama, unlike how CW or Arrowverse does it but enough to see Willow struggle at least.

Kennedy in the comic books was better more or less after Willow had broken up with her, there are times when she still got bratty and snarky at a few instances, sure but she was still better than Andrew or Riley, since Andrew was still an idiot in the comics, even though he still had his uses, Buffy and Spike had to clean up his mess more than once and Riley was still the boring wannabe hero and Robin faded into the background anyway. Kennedy in the show, f*** her, Kennedy in the comics, "Meh." I tried to portray Kennedy closer to comics to make her more bearable but I just had to do this with Robin, since seriously, his obsession and fascination with Slayers just because his mom was one just showed what a momma's boy he was and it's a wonder what Faith saw in him in the show.

The next chapter is going to be the epilogue of this story.
