As Barry busied himself in the CSI Lab at CCPD, he vaguely heard Captain Singh's voice from the hallway thanks to the doorway being open but paid it little mind due to his focus on the work in front of him. Case work that involved the latest in a murder spree that was happening in Central City lately and few leads much to his and everyone else's displeasure. "Allen." Spoke the Captain in an authoritative voice and making Barry jump a little.
He quickly turned around and found himself stopping short. "P-Patty!?"
"Barry!?"
Singh, completely not at all curious about this surprising turn of events, just looked at the two. "Oh, good, you two know each other already then."
"Y-Yeah, we uhh... We met a few years ago actually." Barry told him while never taking his eyes away from Patricia 'Patty' Spivot.
Who likewise couldn't take her eyes away from him as well. "At, at the Museum of Science in Boston, actually."
Their meeting actually being something that Joe himself (unknowingly) had been indirectly responsible for considering he'd sent Barry to Boston for a week as a High School Graduation present since he knew his adopted son had been wanting to visit the Museum there. "I see. Well, that'll make it much easier for the two of you then."
"What, what do you mean by that?" Wondered Barry.
"What I mean, Allen, is that Ms. Spivot is now officially part of our CSI team here CCPD." Informed the Captain and then made his leave and completely ignoring Allen's wide eyed stare of shock.
Figuring the two could handle things from there and still, in no way at all, wanting to know more about the two's past history. Nervously, Patty cleared her throat once they were alone. "Umm… Well, good, good to see you again." She told him with a nervous laugh.
Boy was this just not something she was expecting today! However, Patty wouldn't get a response from Barry thanks to the shock he was feeling at seeing her again for the first time in years!
Author's Notes: Well, that was fun and glad its out of my system! Well… For now at least! I think I'll leave this as its own thing and if there's any interest in seeing more, I'll give consideration to continuing it.
