Chapter Two- Rage and Pain
The sound of birds chirping and the light filtering through the window illuminated the room as it was the signal that the day had begun. A blonde-haired, blue-eyed whiskered man woke up slowly as he stretched his legs and arms, listening to the sound of gentle laughter. He performed his morning rituals as he got dressed, and silently walked out of the bedroom towards the kitchen.
"Mom, Daddy is awake."
A Red-Haired child barreled into the blonde as she gave him a hug, happy to see her daddy.
"Daddy, breakfast is ready. Look at what mom made; chocolate-chip waffles."
"You took your sweet time in getting up."
He was led to the table as he took a seat while his daughter went back to eating her waffles happily. His wife came up to him, and served him breakfast, while kissing his cheek and then whispering into his ear. An atomic blush formed on his face as his daughter made a face of disgust.
"Ugh, mom I am eating here. No funny business at the table."
"Cheeky little brat." Her mother ruffled her hair and gave her daughter a hug.
"Hurry up and finish your breakfast, you got a school trip today."
The blonde's child had finished eating her breakfast as she grabbed her bag and headed out the door with her father as he dropped her to school.
"Do you have your lunch?"
"Yes."
"Your snacks?"
"Yes, dad."
"Do you have your juice box?"
"Dad! You are embarrassing me. I am twelve years old."
"If you live to a 1000, you will still be my little girl. Enjoy your trip princess."
"I love you too dad."
The blonde gave his daughter a hug as he watched her go inside the school. He went home to find his wife getting ready for work as well. They kissed each other sweetly, as they both left their house for the daily grind of life.
The blonde wondered how he got so lucky in life. His wife had gotten pregnant at seventeen. She was going to run away, determined to raise her on her own and give her all the world's comforts. The blonde had tracked her down and convinced her that they deserved to be together, that they could make this work, that he was still there for her and would never abandon her.
Life was a struggle, and an intense one for the both of them. The blonde worked days and nights to provide for his family, making sure his wife was able to complete Business School while they both took care of their child. His wife toiled and worked hard, but she was able to land a job in a prestigious company, being given so much responsibility. And it had all payed off in the end.
And now husband, wife, and daughter were living a much better life. He was grateful that his wife chose to accept him and not run away from him, or ever hide the fact that he was going to be a father. It was hard at first, as he carefully held his child, afraid to make a mistake. When his wife saw him hold their child for the first time, she was confident that she made the right decision.
Twelve years had passed into their marriage and their spark, their love still was strong. Despite the chaos of life, they made sure to always carve out time for one another. They were more than just parents, they were husband and wife, and lovers as well. And once again, his wife wanted to reaffirm their love for one another.
After he finished taking a shower, he saw his wife pretending to sleep in their bed, and he smirked lightly. He removed his towel and sauntered over to her as he removed the covers and entangled himself with her as she laughed happily. He ran his hands through her luscious hair and all over her beautiful body, as he saw her unshed tears. He kissed her tears away.
"Is everything okay? Did I hurt you in some way?"
She got up slowly as she sat on his lap and gave him a big hug, as she ran her own hands through his hair and kissed him deeply, as he could feel the sheer passion she held for him. She kissed his hands and knuckles as she joined her forehead with his.
"I…, I am just happy my love. I thought, having a child so early I thought you would hate me for it. I am so happy that I was proven wrong."
The blonde ran his hand through his wife's brown hair. "You are an idiot. I love the fact that we have a child. Yet, we are more than just parents. We are lovers and husband and wife first and foremost. We are bonded by our love, not just our child."
He gently pushed her on the bed, as his hands roamed her gorgeous body, as she sighed in contentment.
"So much time has passed, and you haven't aged a day. You are still the beautiful creature who captured my heart all those years ago. I think I owe you some payback."
His wife had flipped him over, as she pinned him down and kissed him hard, as he massaged and kneaded her ass.
"And the feeling is mutual, love. I am going to enjoy driving you wild tonight."

The chirping of the birds and the fresh rays of the sun being filtered through his window woke him from his slumber, as he sighed deeply and shook his head as he stretched his legs and arms. It was the same dream that had plagued him, a dream of what could have been.
The blonde named Naruto sat down on the floor of his bedroom inside of a spacious mansion contemplating just how in the hell his life had gone to shit so fast.
At one point, he was living in the Elemental Nations, a world filled with Supernatural Humans who could use the power of Chakra to manipulate the elements and do such incredible things. His life was never easy; he was an orphan mocked and scorned and hated for things beyond his control.
Through sheer force of will, dedication, perseverance and some serious guts; Uzumaki Naruto rose to be a great individual and warrior, making friends and bonds along the way, having the singular goal of one day being the leader of his home and to be its protector and savior.
However, his journey was not an easy one. He had lost friends, loved ones, and many people on his journey. And then there was his friend Sasuke, who was lost in the darkness, which Naruto was doing his best to bring back to the light. And the cherry on top was the war. A war that was started by an abomination that was hell-bent on bringing back an even bigger evil to destroy and consume humanity.
The architect of this great and unholy war was nothing but a deranged bitch and sore loser who ejected him from the war into a portal to an unknown world. Naruto was enraged by all of this. However, Kurama advised him that this was not a bad thing, that he was free from the burden of the Elemental Nations and free from being hunted. Kurama advised him to find a new goal.
It was hard for Naruto to do something like this. His bonds and his friends were still in the Elemental Nations. However, it was a woman that was making it hard for him to leave, and that woman was Sam Arias.
He had no idea when he fell in love with this woman. For some inexplicable reason, they just clicked. Sam always felt that she was different from everyone else, although she had no idea how true that statement would be. And for some reason, she was also drawn to Naruto; whether it was his smile, his strength of character, or his will, she too fell hard for him.
When the two of them had consummated their relationship, it felt like the greatest thing for the both of them. Naruto had gathered the courage to propose to her as it was his wish to marry her. However, life once again threw its curveball.
Sam Arias had disappeared off the face of the Earth, as if she never existed. Naruto tried every effort to find her but he could not, and her mother did not help matters either. He was filled with rage and anger, as he found an abandoned area to tear down and destroy, if not for Kurama holding him back.
"Naruto, stop it."
"Why…, why should I stop Kurama? All my life, I have suffered. First I lost my family, then I lost the war. I keep losing. First its family, then friends, and now love. When will it end?"
Kurama sighed. "Naruto, I know this sucks. I know what you are going through. My kin and I suffered greatly in life. Thanks to you, we got a second chance at life. I know you have suffered but things will get better one day."
"I have watched your entire life. You have never given up at anything, and you never quit at anything. We do not know the full truth of Sam Arias, and I am sure one day we will find her again and learn why she did what she did. You have more soul, heart, and courage that I have ever seen. And your will is greater than anything."
"You must live Naruto and find a goal now in life. You can be a soldier and still protect people. You have a way of bringing people together. You can be a therapist or even a diplomat. The whole world is your Oyster Uzumaki Naruto."
"I am not saying that things will get better right away. Sam Arias left a lasting impression on you, and it's the first time you have truly been in love. Maybe you and Hinata could have had something. Alas, there is no point to think on things that have not happened. Its up to you, Naruto. You can live in the past and despair, or you can move forward and live on for those who are still there for you. The choice is yours."

He was shaken out of his past thoughts by his grumbling stomach and the sweet smell of breakfast emanating from the kitchen. He finished his morning rituals and got a quick workout in before going downstairs to the expansive kitchen.
It honestly had been an interesting experience as to how he ended up in this mansion, the mansion that belonged to the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth and his wife.
Naruto had indeed taken Kurama's advice and had applied to the military to become a combat medic. Originally, not much was thought of him. However, the soldiers could not help but smile even a little at his knuckleheaded nature and his ability to inspire and raise morale.
However, his time as a combat medic was short-lived. On a mission an incident had occurred. Naruto and his team were locked in a devastating situation and Naruto had no choice but to act and save his team his way. Suffice it to say, the end of that particular combat mission had left many of the soldiers with awe and PTSD. This mission had become so severe that the President of the United States herself had to intervene. Naruto was granted an honorable discharge for saving the lives of many innocent soldiers and the records of his service was sealed. Unbeknownst to Naruto, the President was an alien and had come to a conclusion that what Naruto did, the people of Earth would never tolerate.
Naruto's actions had not just attracted the attention of the President herself. It had also attracted Dr. Fate itself. The Sorcerer Supreme of Earth was responsible for monitoring all threats, planetary or cosmic. When he had sensed Kurama's presence, Fate was alarmed.
However, when he found the boy, things were quite interesting. The presence he sensed was tame, at peace with itself. There was no malice and hate within it. Dr. Fate came to the conclusion that Uzumaki Naruto was not an ordinary individual and possessed a will and belief that was beyond even superhuman, possibly bordering insanity.
It was not easy for Fate to trust Naruto as Naruto housed an immortal being of destruction, but his heart believed that Uzumaki Naruto was a pure soul who deserved the benefit of the doubt. He extended an invitation to Naruto to live at his home. He felt that Naruto had quite the past and quite the journey ahead. He had heard from the President about Naruto's time in the Army and realized his kind and empathetic nature could be used for so much good.
And so, Uzumaki Naruto came to live with Dr. Fate and his dear wife Inza. Through Inza's guidance, Naruto decided that being a therapist would be a rewarding path for him. He could his gifts to reach people, to help people. Naruto also sensed that Inza was a true and mighty woman who should not be angered at all. Naruto knew a wise saying- "Beware those who are gentle."
It was not easy, he hated studying and school. Yet, he did find the value of having an education. The use of the Shadow Clone Technique had sped things up for him and he managed to complete his education much faster.
He had joined Inza's Private Practice in the city and now had his first client. Although he looked forward to his first client, he had breakfast on his mind.
"You are late, son."
"Great, you are my mother and Doc Fate is my father."
"Cheeky brat, you are too young to talk back. You know the rules. You should eat before it gets cold."
Naruto savored his breakfast as Inza was drinking a small cup of coffee.
"Are you excited for your first client?"
"I would like to think so, mom. I will be speaking to Lena Luthor."
"What do you think of her, Naruto?"
"If I had to guess, the only Luthor who still has her marbles and is actually quite interested in doing some genuine good. She did help to stop the Daxamites. And besides, there was no other way."
Inza sighed sadly. "Sometimes, we must make decisions that we will never truly approve of, but we must make them for the greater good."
Naruto nodded in return. "By the way, you never did tell me what this place is for in reality."
Inza smiled. "This mansion, my husband's home has been a place for heroes to find their way back to the world. It is a judgmental free zone where people can rest and forget about their issues until they are ready to rejoin the world."
"That makes sense- considering Aquaman and Hawkgirl have lived here before, and so have Amazo and even Etrigan. Then again, I feel sorry for the Daxamites if they chose to knock on this door. Fate is powerful, but his wife is something far different."
Inza smiled. "I have no idea what you are talking about."
Naruto shook his head as he finished his breakfast. As he left, he could not help but wonder about Supergirl and the reason for why the Maiden of Hope no longer looked herself in the new year.
"Supergirl…, what's bothering you…"

Another day of living without her special person was once again taking its toll on Kara. She had quit her job at CatCo and was spending more time at the DEO training and sharpening her hand-to-hand combat abilities. The DEO was a place where she could focus her rage, her pain, her sorrow. The loft held too many memories, memories she could not forget.
The added benefit of this new training facility meant she could cut loose and go as hard as she wished without any fear of hurting anyone. However, her peace was not meant to last.
"I cannot believe it, you just quit?"
Kara turned around and sighed as she saw Alex. "Hmph, so James has been making the rounds."
"He is worried about you, I am worried about you. You spent years working your way up to be a reporter, what happened?"
"Alex, CatCo is no longer on my radar, and it was honestly a waste of time."
"I would love for you to tell Cat Grant that."
"She moved on, so can I. My talents lie elsewhere. I should have pursued when I had the chance."
Alex sighed. "Okay, this is done. I have been walking on egg shells around you, we all are. I have given you time to grieve, to mourn Nar-EL…"
"There is nothing to grieve Alex!"
Alex continued as if she did not hear her. "I have kept my distance and it is enough now. Your pity party…"
"Excuse me! My pity party?"
"Who are you right now? Kara Danvers doe not quit."
"I quit what is pathetic and unimportant."
"CatCo is important. You help people there…"
"Not like Supergirl. Kara Danvers sucks right now! Supergirl saved the world, protects people. If I can choose to be her, why would I choose to be that sad pathetic person?"
Alex was alarmed. "Kara…"
Kara recoiled."No Alex, you can never understand this."
"Then help me to understand, help me to help you get over him…"
At that point, Kara had it. She flew outside the facility, as Alex chased after her. She had it now. The rage and pain of losing her parents, her home, her love; she had enough. With an almighty roar, she began smashing the ground with her fists as the ground quaked and quivered under her wrath. Her tears flew in the air, as she continued to punch and punch. Gathering the solar reserves in her body, she unleashed such a burst of heat vision that a large part of the surrounding area turned to glass blinding everyone in the facility.
When Alex stood outside, she no longer saw her sister, she instead saw the Kryptonian, the Goddess of Rage, the protector of National City. The look she gave Alex would make hell shiver.
"Alex, I love you very much, but never say those words to me again. Nar never dumped me, and I never broke up with him. I murdered him and I have regretted since."
"You can never understand Alex, you cannot. I lost my home, my world, my family. My own cousin left me on someone else's doorstep. I love you all, but I resent the fact that I was considered a burden. Nar was my chance at having it all; the job, the career, the love. And I spit in his face and killed him with my own hands. I will never forget that, and I have to live with it."
"You can never understand Alex. You have never loved like I have. And if you did, you would feel the same as I feel. I live in a world of cardboard, a world where I always have to hold back, always have to second guess. I hate that Alex, I hate it. I hate that I cannot fix my life and I have to live with this grief forever."
"If there is something you have learned about Bloodsport, do let me know. Otherwise, please leave me alone."
Alex looked on in Sadness at Kara. "Kara Danvers saved me more than Supergirl. I hope you realize that soon."
Kara returned to her loft, her sanctuary as she held one of Nar's t-shirts. She fell to the floor and sobbed.
"You promised me, you promised Nar. How dare you just die and leave me?"
Kara spent the rest of the night crying herself to sleep.
