AN: I know all of you have been patient for an update, and I'm sorry it took so long. But I was trying my hand at my other stories. Plus, life did manage to catch up with me a bit. I want you to know that I read all of your reviews. Your support really means a lot to me. So without further ado, let's jump into it.

Jimmy was running down an area with a big open space. But it was so dark that he couldn't even tell where he was going. He couldn't even remember if he was running to something, or away from it. He just wandered aimlessly through the dark. But then, he started to sense a presence. Jimmy was no longer alone. He didn't know what it could be. But whatever it was, it felt evil. This dark feeling loomed over him; it surrounded him. It was everywhere, and it was isolating him. Jimmy had never felt so alone in his life.

"So this is the form you have taken." Jimmy turned towards the sound of the voice. It was still pretty dark; but from almost out of nowhere, the area that he was in, was granted a small source of light. The light wasn't very bright; but it was only because of it, that Jimmy was able to see even a few feet in front of him. When he focused his eyes, he could see a woman standing before him. She had black hair, and two markings of silver streaks that were streaming down from both of her black eyes. Her wardrobe consisted of a black dress, a silver tiara, a gold necklace with a big black jewel, and a gold bracelet. "Who are you?" Jimmy asked. "Now don't tell me that you've forgotten me. Because I remember you, Tiga." That caught Jimmy's attention. As far as he understood it, only the lady who gave him his powers knew about his secret. So that begged the question, who was this woman, and how did she know who he was? "How do you know that name?" he asked.

It was at this point that the woman could see it in his eyes. He honestly didn't know what she was talking about. "You really don't remember, do you? That hurts; but ultimately, I guess it's to be expected, given how many times you've probably reincarnated already. Well then, allow me to refresh your memory, lover." That last part came as a shock to Jimmy. "What did you call me?" "I called you lover, because that's what we were, lovers. The Ultras came to this planet millions of years ago. But unlike the rest of them, you and I gave in to the temptation of the darkness. We embraced the power it gave us. But the others couldn't, because they were too weak. I never understood why someone wouldn't just take power, if given the chance. And you and I weren't the only ones to feel the pull of the darkness." Just then, two men appeared out of the darkness to stand on either side of the woman. One had black hair and a goatee, with horizontal red lines under both his eyes, and across his cheeks. He had on a black tunic with matching arm bands and boots, and a silver headband on his forehead. The other guy had black markings on his face that were similar to the others, and his hair was tied into a ponytail. He wore no shirt, with a black jacket, pants and boots. Their outfits made Jimmy think one out of two things. Either they were intentionally trying to look like a group of punks; or they all shop at the same store, and they don't know it.

"I see you've brought your friends with you. Am I supposed to know who they are too?" Jimmy murmured. Without saying another word, the guy with the ponytail, ran towards Jimmy at an inhuman speed. He delivered a powerful roundhouse kick to Jimmy's face, that sent him to the ground. "These were once your allies, we all were. And then you betrayed us" the woman said. As soon as Jimmy got to his feet, the man in the tunic grabbed him by his jacket, and lifted him off the ground. "Tiga, my friend; I've been waiting for this moment for a long time" the man stated before he threw Jimmy to the ground. Then Jimmy go to his feet for a second time. "Everything was perfect until you ruined it. We had power and strength on our side. Anyone who opposed us, was cut down. You were the strongest out of all of us. I gave you my heart, and you broke it. All because that woman, whom you chose to love, manipulated you. She told you to turn towards the light. So you betrayed us. You fought against us. You stole our powers. And you imprisoned us in stone for all eternity. But now we will be free; and we will have our revenge" the woman exclaimed. Then the three of them pulled out objects that looked like the same kind of torch that Jimmy uses to transform. They activated their torches, which created a bright light and a strong force that blew Jimmy away.

Jimmy struggled to get his feet under him. But when he got up, he noticed something else. Somehow, that light had also mysteriously transformed him into his Ultraman form. But the surprises didn't end there. When he looked up, he saw three Ultras towering over him. They were giants, and he looked like he was the size of a human being compared to them. One of the males had a red and black body, with two horns on the sides of his head. The other male had a blue and silver body that looked very similar to Tiga's speed mode. Lastly, the female had a silver and gold body. The last thing that Tiga noticed was that something had appeared in the extended hand of the female. When he focused his vision, he saw that it was a human woman who was clutched firmly in her fist. Ultraman's heart stopped when he realized who she held captive. It was Sarah. "SARAH!" Tiga yelled. "JIMMY, HELP ME, PLEASE!" Sarah screamed. "Let her go, or I'll-" "You will do nothing" the red and black giant said before he kicked Tiga away.

Tiga stood up and fired an energy blast at the female Ultra. His plan was to force her to drop Sarah, and then catch her before she fell to her death. But unfortunately, the female just deflected the attack with her free hand. "So this is the woman you've chosen to give your heart to. I wonder, is she one of the people you chose to protect? Why, because they're weak? Because you took pity on them? They are insignificant beings. We possess more power in one finger, than they do in their entire bodies. We have seen things that they couldn't even begin to imagine. And we will outlive them by several thousand lifetimes. There is nothing that they have to offer you" she said as she applied more pressure to Sarah. Sarah struggled in her grip, but it did her no good. Her grip continued to tighten around Sarah. Ultraman then shot into the air, heading straight for the female's face. He was going to deliver a powerful punch to her face; but she just swatted him away like a fly. He landed on the ground, hard; with his color timer flashing red. All Tiga could do was look up and watch as she was hurting the woman he loved. "You will never save her" she said as she really started to squeeze Sarah. Sarah could feel the life being squeezed out of her. Soon it felt like her bones were breaking. "Jimmy, I love you" she said with her last breath. "NO, SARAH!" Tiga shouted while reaching his hand out towards her.

"SARAH!" Jimmy screamed as he shot up from bed. His breathing was hard, as he was hyperventilating from the nightmare he just had. When he manged to calm down, he saw on his alarm clock, that he still had two hours before he had to get ready for work. But after that monster of a bad dream, there was no way that he was going back to sleep. So he completed his morning rituals, and went to work a few hours earlier than usual. Since Jimmy got to the Daily Planet a few hours early, he was still waiting on a few people to arrive. When he saw Sarah enter the bullpen, he immediately got up from his chair, and made his way to her. "Hi Jimmy, how are you-" She didn't get to finish, as he wrapped her up in a tight hug. He was hugging her with all his might. It was just a nightmare, and he knew that. But it felt so real. It was real enough, that he was brought to the verge of tears. Sarah could feel Jimmy trembling in her arms. "Jimmy, are you ok?"

"Uh, yeah, I just...I was really worried about you" he said. "Awe, that's adorable" came the voice of Lois. When Jimmy and Sarah separated, she saw the shock in his eyes. It's like he was terrified of something. He tried to hide it, but she could tell. She placed her hands on the sides of Jimmy's face and asked "Jimmy, what's wrong?" He grabbed a hold of her hands, and placed a kiss on them before he answered. "Nothing, it's just that I...I had a bad dream last night. I dreamt that someone was trying to take you away from me." "Oh, Jimmy, it's okay. It was just a dream. I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me, I promise" she said. She then grabbed a hold of his face, and captured his lips in a kiss. When the kiss ended, she rested her forehead against his. "I love you" she said before she started to walk away. "I love you too" Jimmy answered back.

"You two are just the sweetest. I told you that you'd make a good couple" Lois murmured. "I know, you were right" Jimmy said in defeat. "Of course I was" Lois claimed triumphantly. "So, do you need a photographer for anything, Miss Lane? Or are you working on that Ultraman story?" "Well, in truth, I don't think that there is much of a story." "What do you mean?" he asked. "I mean, that I don't know anything about him. I don't think anyone does, not really. So anything I write would be pure speculation" she answered. "Well, he did save the city. You could probably write about that. I mean, isn't that the main thing anyway?"

"Yes, but that's what anyone who was watching the fight knows. As reporters, we have an obligation to the people who read our paper. We were trained to report the facts, and to tell the truth. Now, I can report on what I saw. But that still leaves many questions unanswered. And not having those answers could be frighting." "You think that people would be afraid of him?" Jimmy inquired. "Yeah, I think they would be. It's like I said, nobody knows anything about him. Not who he is, or where he's from. Not how he got his powers, or what he stands for. We don't even know what his motives are. And with so much missing information, people might get the wrong idea about him. Some might even think he is a threat. Take Superman, for example. After he showed up in Metropolis, one of the first things he did was to give an interview, explaining his origins and intentions. It was because of this, in part, that people started to trust him. As it stands, there just aren't enough facts. I just wish I could talk to this Ultraman, guy. At least then I could get his story straight. Anyway, I think I've bored you with reporter talk for long enough. See you later, Jimmy" she said before she walked off. Jimmy couldn't help but think that maybe Lois was right. Maybe it would be a good idea if people knew more about Ultraman. It was at this time, that an idea started to form in his head.

Sometime later, a human sized Ultraman could be found standing on a random rooftop. "This is either the smartest thing I've ever done, or the stupidest" he said as he setup his camera. Ultraman shot into the air, and flew high in the sky. He was searching the city for someone very specific; and thankfully, he didn't have to look for very long. Lois Lane was driving down the freeway when Perry White decided to call. He wanted to know where she was. Apparently, the Planet got a call about a story that he thought was right up her alley. "I was having lunch in the city, Chief. But I'm on my way back now." Just then, Lois heard a tapping sound coming from her window. She looked outside to see Ultraman flying next to her car, and tapping on her window. He gave her a friendly wave and continued to fallow her. When he kept fallowing her rather than fly away, Lois took it as a sign that he wanted to talk to her. "Uh, Chief, I'm going to have to call you back" she said before hanging up the phone. She then drove her car to a private place, so they could speak without being disturbed.

Lois and Ultraman were now standing all alone on the rooftop of a parking garage. She figured that it was as good a place as any to talk. "Ok, you've got my attention. What do you want?" she inquired. "I would like to set the record straight. I understand that there's people who might have questions about what happened the other day. So I'm here to answer those questions. I want to share my story; and I was hoping that you'd be the one to tell it." "Not that I'm ungrateful, but I gotta ask, Why me? This town is full of reporters; so why come to me?" she wondered. "Because I've lived in Metropolis for a long time; and even I know about the great Lois Lane. Your reputation proceeds you. You are one of the few reporters who values honesty and integrity above all else. I'm here to tell the truth, the whole truth. Both the good, and the bad. So if you say you'll tell the truth about me, then I'll believe you" he stated with all the confidence in the world. "Well, in that case" she said before she got out a pen and note pad. "Let's start with the obvious question. What's with the change in size? The last time anyone saw you, you were as big as a skyscraper. Now you look as tall as the average person. Care to comment?" "From what I can tell, a lot of the others were that big. Being giant might actually be normal. I think it's more likely that I have the ability to change size."

"Wait, others; you mean there are more of you?" she asked. "Yeah, there's a whole planet of Ultras." "Oh, so you're an alien then?" she murmured. "No, I was born and raised as a human. I was just reincarnated with these powers. Or, I guess it's more accurate to say that I was an alien, but then I got reincarnated as a human." He could see the look of confusion on Lois's face as he finished that statement. He was going to have to elaborate. "How about we start from the beginning. What I have to tell you is going to be hard to believe. I mean, I'm living it, and I still have trouble accepting it. But I'll try to explain it to you, the same way it was explained to me. About thirty million years ago, there was an ancient, but advanced, civilization of humans that lived on Earth. Then one day, both the Earth and it's people were terrorized by giant monsters. They left a path of destruction wherever they went. Then the Ultras showed up. They were beings with pure light energy, that came from a distant and unknown planet. They fought off the monsters and protected the humans. But when all the monsters were gone, there were some Ultras who sought the power of darkness, rather than the light. They used their power for evil. So the two factions fought a war; a war for light, and darkness. And I was the strongest dark Ultra.

Then there came a day when I betrayed my comrades, and fought on the side of the light. I was told that the reason I turned on them, was for love. Apparently, I fell in love with a human; and she convinced me that what I was doing, was wrong. So I then defeated the dark Ultras, and then I sealed them away. After that, me and two other Ultras, sealed ourselves in a pyramid of light; before we turned to stone. Fast forward thirty million years later, and I met a strange lady who was a descendant of the ancient humans. She explained all of this to me, and then she took me to the pyramid of light. While I was there, she told me to wake up one of the statues. And after I did that, I became Ultraman." By the time Tiga was done explaining his origins, Lois had a look of bewilderment on her face. It looked like she had a hard time swallowing all this. "It's a good story; but it kinda sounds a bit outlandish, don't you think? It sounds like it would make a good sci fi novel; but maybe not a believable story" Lois stated. "I don't blame you for thinking so. I mean, some lady coming to me and telling me about a life I have no memory of; it does sound pretty crazy. I haven't put all the pieces together yet. But after everything I've been through, I can honestly say, that I don't think she was lying. I wish I could show you all the things I've seen. Maybe then you'd understand."

All Tiga could think about, was how he was going to prove any of this to Lois. How was he supposed to convince everyone else, if he couldn't even convince Lois. He racked his brain, searching for an answer. He thought for what felt like an eternity. Until his thoughts brought him back to the pyramid of light that the lady took him to. If he could just show Lois the pyramid, then maybe she'd see that his words had some merit to them. That became all he could think about. Until, as if by magic, an image of the pyramid materialized in between Tiga's hands. Seeing this, was strange. But then Ultraman remembered that the lady said that this is what the original Tiga taught her people. He must have focused so hard on the pyramid, that an image of it appeared. He didn't waste any time in proving his claims to Lois. "You see, I wasn't making it up. That's the pyramid of light I was telling you about." He focused more on what he saw inside the pyramid; and the image changed to the inside with the two remaining statues. Shortly after that, the image disappeared all together. At this point, Lois was more willing to take him at face value.

"Are there anymore questions you want to ask?" Tiga inquired. There were a few questions that came to Lois's mind. "So, what do you call yourself when you're not on the job? Because I highly doubt that Ultraman is the name on your birth certificate." That was Lois for you. Always trying to get to the bottom of things. "Actually, Ultraman is just a title. That is what the people of Earth called us. But as for me, specifically. I was told that the Ultraman I turn into, also has a name. Just like Superman's name is Kal-El. My real name is Tiga. But to answer your question; no, those weren't the names I was born with. I do have a legal name; but that's the one secret I want to keep to myself." "Tiga, how do you spell that?" she asked. "T i g a" he told her. "So, aside from the powers we've seen; what else can you do?"

"Well, besides the flight and the ability to change size; I'm also faster and stronger than a normal human. I can fire off attacks in the form of energy blasts. And I think I can also draw energy from the sun. Because there have been times when I've felt run down; but when I flew closer to the sun, I started to feel a lot better." That last answer was sorta reminiscent of how Superman's powers work. "Do you have any weaknesses?" she questioned. Almost immediately after Lois said that, Tiga's timer started to flash red. "Ok, what's that?" she asked. "I don't know; but I think it means I'm running out of time. I have to go now, Miss Lane; but before I do, I just want you to know one thing. I'm not here to hurt or scare anyone. There were times when I doubted that I could do this hero thing. But when I was fighting those monsters, I finally realized something. I have friends and family in this world. Just like everybody else, I also have people that I care about. And I want to protect them, all of them. I want to protect everyone on Earth. There will be more monsters; and when they get here, I'll be ready. That's what I was hoping that you would put in the paper. I haven't figured out the whole story yet; but when I do, you'll be the first person I tell. But whatever you decide to write; I trust you to tell the truth. Thank you for listening, Miss Lane." Then Ultraman lifted off the ground. "Goodbye" he said as he waved goodbye and flew away.

Tiga went back to the rooftop that he left his camera on. But before he could turn back into Jimmy, he heard a commotion in the distance. He peeked his head over the ledge, to see a woman getting mugged by three men in an alleyway. "HELP!" she screamed in panic. Without even taking another second to think about it, Ultraman jumped down from the roof. The men who were robbing the woman, also noticed that she was quite attractive. So much so, that they thought they'd have a little extra fun with her; after they were done mugging her of course. Then the thugs were blown off their feet by a strong force. When they looked up, they saw Ultraman standing between them and the woman. "Three men ganging up on one woman; that's just wrong. Not to mention, cowardly" Ultraman said. The men got up, and one of them said "Look pal, this doesn't have anything to do with you. So do yourself a favor, and just walk away."

"Well, that's not happening" Tiga stated. Then one of the guys charged at him. He tried to hit Ultraman, but he was too fast. He dodged his attack, and then he hit him with two powerful punches. The first one was to the guy's gut, and the second one hit him right in the face. The first guy fell down, which made the second one try to rush him. Ultraman did a spinning kick to his head, that sent him to the ground. As for the third guy, Tiga grabbed him, and threw him right into an open dumpster. When the fight was over, Tiga picked up the woman's purse, and returned it to her. "Here you go, miss" he said as he handed it to her. "Thank you" she said after she accepted it. "No problem; I'm just glad I could help." He started to walk away; but he stopped when she chose to speak up. "Wait, who are you?" "Ultraman" was all he said. "Well, goodbye" he murmured before he flew off. "Ultraman" she said as a smile appeared on her face.

Almost half an hour later, Jimmy was back at the Planet. He entered the Chief's office, only to find Perry and Lois engaged in a conversion. Apparently, they were talking about the interview that Lois had with Ultraman. "Olsen, where were you? Lois gets an interview that any reporter who's worth the words they print would kill for; and you're nowhere to be found. It would have been nice to have a few pictures to go with it" Perry said. "Actually, that's why I'm here, Mr. White. I thought you'd like to take a look at these" he said as he laid some photos on Perry's desk. There were pictures of Ultraman flying threw the air, fighting off those muggers; and there was even one of him giving that woman her purse back. Luckily, Jimmy had the foresight to set up his camera before the fight in the alley. The photos he took were very good. "Ok, how and when did you take these shots?" Lois asked as Perry was still sifting through the pictures. "Just now. I was in town, and I happened to run into him, again. Only this time, I managed to get photos. I guess I just got lucky." When the subject of the photos came up, Perry said that he would take them all. The ones where he was flying were good; and the ones where he was helping the woman, showed humanity.

"By the way, Mr. White; I was hoping that now would be a good time to make good on that deal we made" said Jimmy. "Deal? What deal?" Perry asked. "You said that if I managed to get pictures of the new hero, that I would get to name him." "Oh yeah; I did say that, didn't I?" In all fairness, Perry did sorta forget what he said to Jimmy on the day that Ultraman showed up. "Well Olsen; a deal's a deal. Now, what was it you said his name was, again?" "Ultraman. His name is Ultraman" Jimmy stated with pride. "Alright, Ultraman it is. Today's headline will feature Ultraman on the front page of the paper." After that was settled, Perry paid for Jimmy's photos; and then Jimmy left his office.

Gotham City, hours later

It was now night time in Gotham City. Everything had been peaceful. At least, as peaceful as things can be in a city like Gotham. However, that all came to an end soon. The people of Gotham could feel the ground rumbling. The earth began to shake; and the people could hear what could only be described as giant footsteps. Then a monstrous roar was heard. When everyone looked up, they saw that the roar was coming from a giant monster who was now terrorizing the city. The monster was in the form of a lizard that looked sort of like a T-rex, but much bigger. It's name was Jomonoid.

It left craters in the pavement, wherever it stepped. It squashed vehicles flat, and it smashed buildings with it's claws and tail. The citizens of Gotham, were all running for their lives. The only ones that weren't running, were the police. They stayed to fight the monster. Everyone showed up; from the street units, to the SWAT team. They opened fire with pistols, shotguns, assault rifles; and then they eventually started using explosives. When that failed, they resorted to using gunships. Not long after that, the National Guard made an appearance. They attacked the monster on two fronts, from the ground, and from the air. Tanks fired shells at it. Planes shot a combination of bullets and missiles at it. The humans threw everything they had at the monster. They fought bravely. But in the end, all their attacks managed to do, was make the monster angry.

Jomonoid then continued his rampage on the city. He made short work of the armed forces. Everyone was so busy fleeing in terror, that they didn't even notice when Gotham's greatest heroes arrived. Batman and Robin were flying high in the sky, in the Batplane. Batman pushed a button on his console, and fired two missiles at the monster. After the missiles hit, Jomonoid took notice of the Batplane. He opened his mouth, and breathed fire at them. Thankfully, Batman was a good enough pilot to maneuver his plane away from the flames. The monster fired even more flames, but none of them connected with it's target. The events were being televised, as Batman and Robin resumed their fight with the beast.

Back at Metropolis, Jimmy had just returned to his apartment. He turned on the tv, and was getting ready to relax. When all of the sudden, a news report of a giant monster attack, appeared on the screen. Jimmy felt exhausted, knowing that he would now have to deal with this. A hero's work was never down. Then the phone rang. He picked it up, only to discover that it was Sarah on the other line. "Hey Jimmy, I was wondering if you had any plans for tonight." Jimmy could hear the playfulness in her voice. She clearly wanted to spend time with him. The knowledge of what he had to do next, was killing him. He wanted to be with Sarah; but the simple fact was that Ultraman was needed. "Uh, sorry sweetheart, but I can't. I can't hang out with you right now. Mr. White just called a few minutes ago; apparently there's this big story that he wants pictures for. So I gotta go out of town for a while" he said. "Oh, well where are you going?" Thinking fast, he looked back at the tv to see that the attack was happening in Gotham city. "Uh, Gotham" was his reply. "Well, when are you going to be back?" she asked. "With any luck, I should be back first thing tomorrow morning" he answered. "Ok, I guess I'll see you when you get back. I love you." "I love you too" he said before he hung up the phone.

Jimmy hated lying to her; but it wasn't like he could tell her the truth either. He started to wonder if maybe he really should take photos of what's going on in Gotham. He never had to lie about being a superhero before. But if he took some pictures, then maybe his excuse would be more believable. He decided to table that matter for later. He then went up to the roof of his apartment. He checked to see if the coast was clear, before he pulled out the Torch. He gave it a squeeze, and felt the light encompass his body.

The fight continued in Gotham; with Jomonoid still blowing flames at Batman and Robin. They avoided a lot of the flames; until one managed to hit one of the Batplane's wings. The plane was falling out of the sky; but then it suddenly stopped. Batman and Robin looked up to see the face of Ultraman. Luckily, he caught the plane before it crashed. He set them gently on the ground; and then he turned to face the monster. Since the Batplane was now grounded, Batman and Robin got out to watch the fight between Ultraman and the monster. Tiga knew that he had to destroy the monster. But the one thing that gave him pause, was the idea of innocent people getting caught in the crossfire. He didn't want anyone to get hurt because of his fight. Although, the part of town they were in was evacuated. So if he could keep the fighting contained to that part of Gotham, then there was a good chance that no one would get hurt. He ran towards the monster, and secured him in a headlock. He repeatedly plowed his fist into the monster's head, and then kneed him in the gut. He kept wrestling with him, until the monster had enough strength to force him off. Jomonoid whipped Tiga with his tail, sending him to his knees. He brought his tail around for another swing, but Ultraman rolled out of the way just in time.

His tail hit a building, causing rubble to fall. The rubble was heading right for Batman and Robin. Batman was able to get out of the way in time, but Robin wasn't so lucky. Thankfully, Ultraman saw the whole thing. He saw the rubble heading for Robin; so he extended his arm towards the boy wonder, and a bright beam of light erupted from his hand. Even though the rubble made contact, Tiga was very confident that Robin was safe. Jomonoid took this opportunity to shoot fire at Tiga. He shot flame after flame, but Ultraman dodged every single one of them. Then Ultraman got close enough to deal a powerful right hook to the monster's face, followed by a kick from his left leg. Tiga then grabbed Jomonoid by his tail, and spun him around and around. He did this until he built up enough speed, and then he released him. The monster crashed into the ground, and slid until he ran into a building. Pieces of the building broke off, and landed on the monster. When the monster got up, Ultraman knew that it was time to end this. Ultraman brought his arms to his sides, before he extended them, and then separated them into a T formation. He then put his arms in a L formation, with his right arm being the vertical one, and the left one being the horizontal one. A beam of light energy, shot from his right arm. This move was called the Alpha Stream.

When the beam connected with Jomonoid, it caused a devastating effect. It destroyed him, and blew him into hundreds of pieces. When the monster was defeated, Ultraman turned to the rubble that fell on Robin. He moved the debris away; and when he was done, an energy field of light could be seen. It was like a barrier, keeping the rubble from getting to Robin. Tiga shrank himself down to human size, and placed his hands on the barrier. In a flash of light, it disappeared. He guessed that almost being crushed to death, would be a pretty jarring experience. So he helped Robin to his feet. Batman rushed over to Robin, and looked him over for any injuries. When he thought that building crushed him, that was one of the most frightening moments of his whole life. Even if it was only by adoption standards, Robin was his dear son; and he almost lost him. Batman then turned his sights to Ultraman. Although he was grateful that Ultraman saved his son, he still felt angered that he almost died. "Leave, now" Batman said with an intense glare. Even though Ultraman just destroyed a giant monster; he had to admit that facing down Batman's famous scary glare, was kinda Unnerving. So without anything else being said, he shot into the sky and flew away. When Ultraman was gone, Batman scooped Robin up in a tight hug. He didn't even care who saw them at that moment. His son was alive, and that's all that mattered to him.

Metropolis, Jimmy's apartment

When Jimmy got home, he was again greeted by the lady who gave him his powers; and she did not look happy. For the most part, Jimmy tried to ignore her. It had been a long day, and he was tired. He started getting ready for bed when she chose to speak. "When we spoke after your first outing, I told you not to use your powers for anything stupid. Remember that?" she asked. "And I haven't" Jimmy shot back. "What would you call this?" she said as she pulled out a news paper. The paper had a picture of Ultraman, and a headline that read "Ultraman speaks." "Darn good press; that's what I'd call it" he answered. "It's a miracle you didn't run out of time while you were doing that interview. And what's worse, you stopped to save a woman in an alley. Those kind of petty heroics, are a waste of your talents."

"Helping people is a waste? You want to know why I did that interview? I did it so that the people I'm trying to protect, won't be afraid of me. All anyone saw the other day, was three giants, duking it out in their city. And all they could probably remember feeling, was fear. Especially the folks at ground zero. They would have been afraid; afraid that they weren't getting out of this alive. I was trying to grant them peace. They need to know who I am, and what I stand for. They needed to know what my goals and motives were. And as for the woman; those men would have hurt her, or worse. She was in trouble, and I helped her. That's not just something that a hero would've done. It's something that any decent person would do. I don't regret it; and I would do it again, in a heart beat. Look, I know that this power I have, is meant for bigger things. But I also won't abandon those in need. That's not what being a hero means to me" Jimmy lectured.

Although the lady would hate to admit it; Jimmy did have a point. She understood why he did what he did. But if he was going to do this, then he had to understand the full gravity of the situation. "Look, ultimately this power is your own. If this is what you want to use it for; then I can't stop you. Use it however you see fit. And I get why you wanted to tell people about Ultraman. You were worried about them being afraid of you. Because if someone like Superman is a god to humans; then you would be considered a titan by comparison. But if you're going to do this; then it's time you knew the truth, the whole truth. Have you ever wondered why that light on Ultraman's chest flashes red?" "Yeah, that has crossed my mind" Jimmy murmured.

"It's a timer. You see, since Tiga's not originally from Earth, his biology doesn't agree with our planet. As it stands now, Ultraman can only appear on Earth for three minutes at a time. If the light changes from blue to red, then that means you still have some time left. However, if the light ever stops flashing red, then Ultraman will cease to exist; and perhaps that could mean the same fate for you. That's why it's so important for you to only transform when the moment calls for it. So you have to be careful. But, that's not where the surprises end. Those energy attacks that you've been using up to this point; they're called Luminizers. Meaning, that Tiga is literally a being of light. He is fueled by light. He draws his power from light, especially from the sun. He can then convert that energy into a Luminizer. But this may become harder to do, as you use up more time and energy in a fight. Now, with all that being said; is there anything that you wish to ask me?" she pondered.

In truth, Jimmy was now filled with questions. Ranging from the world that Tiga came from, and to how she knew all this. But the one thought that kept entering his mind, was the three minute time limit. "Three minutes, but that's barely enough time to do anything. What if a fight lasts longer than three minutes?" he inquired. "Well, I did once hear that the time limit could be extended, depending on the host's power, or their will. Simply put, if you choose to be the kind of hero you desire to be; then you have to become stronger" she answered. "Then I will. I'll become stronger; I'll become the absolute strongest I can be" Jimmy stated boldly. "Of that, I have no doubt" the lady said with certainty. Then the thoughts of Jimmy's nightmare, replayed in his head. He thought that it might be a good idea to ask about it. "You know, I had this nightmare last night. And in this nightmare, there were these people who claimed that they knew me in a past life. I could feel the evil that was coming from them." "These people; how many of them were there?" she asked in concern. "There were three of them. Two guys, and one woman. The woman kept going on about how we were lovers; and how I betrayed her."

"Camearra" the lady said in a state of worry. "Who?" Jimmy asked. "She was Tiga's former lover; she wasn't lying about that. The other two you saw were most likely Darramb and Hudra. They were Tiga's dark allies; the ones he turned against." "They spoke as though Tiga wasn't always dark" Jimmy mentioned. "Because he wasn't; none of them were. Truth be told, none of the dark Ultras started off as dark. They originally came to protect our planet; just like the other Ultras did. But they were corrupted by the power of the darkness. Only Tiga was able to break its hold on him; and turn towards the light. Now, tell me more about this nightmare of yours; leave nothing out." Jimmy then told her everything about his nightmare. He told her about everything they said to him; and about all the things they did in the dream. He even told her about how they were killing Sarah. "It sounds like they're still nursing a grudge. And I don't think they intend to stay locked up for much longer. If they return, they'll be coming for you. When that happens; you must not lose. The fate of the Earth depends on it" she said.

"You're saying that my ex-girlfriend, whom I've never met, and two other guys, are looking to settle a score with me for something I did to them in a past life?" Jimmy inquired. "That's exactly what I'm saying. Now you will really have to become stronger. Because when they come back; it will take all your strength to beat them. From now on, everytime you transform, I want you to focus all your energy into extending your time as Ultraman. When you feel yourself getting weak, dig deep and find your inner strength. The strength to keep going, no matter what. That's how you will get stronger. As long as you remember what you're fighting for, no one will defeat you, no one." Jimmy was mauling over what she said; and it made sense. If there was a skill he didn't posses, or a strength he was lacking in; then he would train until he acquired it. He wasn't going to let those guys from his nightmare, whoever they were, take over his planet.

The lady was getting ready to leave. In all the excitement; Jimmy had almost forgotten to ask what her name was. He remembered that he planned on asking her, the next time he saw her. Ever since he became Ultraman; she has been the one to guide him. So it felt weird to not even be on a first name basis with her. "Wait, what is your name?" he asked. "My name is Lorraine. I'll be seeing you again real soon, Jimmy Olsen" she said before she disappeared. "Well, at least I know her name now" Jimmy said to himself in a comedic fashion. What she told him, was a lot to deal with. So he tried to break the tense situation with levity. Then he crawled into bed, and tried to get some sleep. Not an easy task, considering all that he just learned.

AN: There were times when I wasn't too sure about this chapter. I mean, I enjoyed writing the nightmare sequence, the superhero scenes in Metropolis, and the fight in Gotham. But some of the conversations, felt like they didn't have to happen the way that they did. For example, I could have glossed over the conversation that Ultraman & Lois had regarding his origins. But I already glossed over other conversations; and I just thought that you guys would like to hear what he had to say to her. The whole point of that talk, was for her to get the word out that people could trust him. It's the kind of thing that responsible superheroes should do. The other conversation I was a little unsure of, was the one that Jimmy had with his mentor. That talk was important, because she needed to know the kind of hero Jimmy wanted to be; and Jimmy needed to know more about Tiga's past, and about the powers he now has. But at the time, I wasn't sure how to word that conversation. Also, regarding the mentor's name. I know that Ultraman Tiga was made by Japanese people, for Japanese people. But I'm not Japanese. So instead of giving her a Japanese name; I thought it would be easier to give her a name that you don't hear too often. And I've never met a single Lorraine, a day in my life.

Please remember that if you didn't like something, then that's all you have to say. You don't have to go out of your way to insult me in the reviews.
