Once upon a time, back when I was still in middle and high school, I wrote original, and absolutely dreadful, fiction. After rereading some of that nonsense, I very wisely chose to focus on my artwork instead, and dropped all of my writing for probably ten years or more.

Then, approximately seven years ago, I started writing Harry Potter fanfiction, simply out of a desire to read certain stories that no one else seemed to have written (and also from the rather conceited notion that I could do better than a lot of the stuff out there I had read). So I wrote Drifting, then Between the Bars, and then a whole slew of other Remus/Tonks stories, and some Moody ones as well. Found some friends, learned how to beta, and how to accept beta feedback, and practiced and wrote and revised and bitched and moaned and wrote some more.

And funny thing, folks seemed to like what I wrote. Imagine that.

So now I've traipsed through a handful of fandoms (HP, Ouran High School Host Club, Prince of Tennis, Fullmetal Alchemist, xxxHolic, etc), and have played any number of invented challenges and bootcamp games to improve my writing, and it is the best ride I've ever been on. With every story, I feel as though I'm learning something new about the craft, and it is my fervent hope that anyone who reads my stories will enjoy them as much as I loved writing them.

At the moment, it is the Fullmetal Alchemist fandom that holds my attention the most. I tend to write Roy/Ed primarily, but I will write any character or pairing that sparks in my head.

About the Stories

Harry Potter

My Harry Potter fics are all part of a story arc I wrote, surrounding Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks. While each can be read independently from the rest, they are best read as a series, in a particular order. If you're interested, that order is:

Sad to say, I never did complete this arc of stories, and at this point in time, I do not anticipate going back to them. However, I'm just mercurial enough to admit that there is always the possibility, faint as it seems right now. And, for some strange reason (scratches head), I don't have all my HP works posted here. Huh. Well, they're still hanging out on , although since they're reorganized the place, I don't have the proper links any more (and let's fact it; I'm too lazy to go look them up right now). I seem to recall that the formatting of one or two of my pieces there went wonky from whatever they did to spruce things up, but I never bothered to go back and fix it. I just don't hang out on that site anymore. :/

Also, thanks to Danita2, Ice Follies has now been translated into Russian! Cool! Read it here!

Fullmetal Alchemist

I post most of my completed pieces of decent length here, but I have a number of shortfics that I haven't yet gotten around to including. Those can be found at my writing journal on LiveJournal; please feel free to take a look, and say hello. Eventually, I hope to include these drabbles and short pieces here as well, perhaps just as a collection, but right now I can't be arsed. shrug

Okay. So I know that I've received a fair number of questions lately regarding that story, since it has been an inexcusably long time since I've updated it. First of all, it is not discontinued. I will be updating it again, however, I cannot give a timeframe on that. The most recent chapter ended up having some serious issues in it, and they are serious enough that it has taken me a long time to try and work out how to handle them properly. If you've been following that story, I'm sure you're aware of what a balancing act every chapter is, and I will not disrespect either the story or my readers by turning out something I do not feel is the best quality I can produce. But never fear that it will be abandoned; I love that little monster far too much to do something like that, and for what it's worth, the remaining chapters are pretty well mapped out. Once I'm able to sort through the mess that is Chapter 14, I will do my best to plunge on through until the end- and that's not far away. I anticipate three to four more chapters before that story is complete. Hopefully the holidays will be kind to me, and I'll be able to get a lot of writing time in.

One final note...

I'm not certain if the ability to respond to reviews has always been available, or if I just never realized it, but I have fallen into the bad habit of not replying to them on this site. For that, I apologize; I value every person who reads my stories, and I wish I were better at being conscientious about showing it. But I do not visit this site with regularity, and life has been insane recently as well, although these are just flimsy excuses, when you get right down to it. I'm sorry. But please know, if you are reading my fics, that I appreciate it immensely, and every word of support I get only drives on the passion for writing. Please forgive my silence (for I'm realistic enough to know that I don't break such habits easily), and I hope that the stories I post here will continue to bring some amusement.
