After Susannah, Beverly, Rita and Catherine arrived at Glastonbury.
"This place is Simply Be-you-tiful." Susannah said as she jumped into the air.
"Indeed. But don't forget our mission, we can admire the scenery later." Rita said as she drew a strand of hair behind her ear.
"You worry to much miss Rita! Time to show you what I am truly capable of!" Susannah said as she went and activated the scanner.
Catherin could simply smile at the excitement shown by Susannah.
And as for Beverly who looked over the coastline couldn't help but have a sense of foreboding.
At a World Serpent Base
"The Schicksal Valkyries have arrived at the designated location, we may initiate our plan." A woman told Jackal through a comm channel.
"Excellent work, that turned out easier than I expected." Jackal said as she leaned on the table.
"I say we give them a warm reception." Jackal said with a dark humor laced tone.
"Miss Susannah, do you need any help?" Catherine asked the young Valkyrie who was using the scanner to find the entry's location.
"Don't worry, Director I got all this covered." Susannah said as she accidentally fell on her face, which caused the Director to wince.
"Oh My heart... Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Catherine said as she walked toward Susannah.
"I's Alright but I would appreciate some help here." Said Susannah as she got up on her feet.
"I envy you, miss Susannah. So young yet already a Valkyrie fighting to defend our world." Catherine told the young Blond with some envy lacing her tone.
"Haha! If you haven't noticed we Valkyries tend to be young girls to start off, with! And you must be super smart to become a museum Director, Miss Catherine!" Said Susannah cheerfully.
"Beggars can't always be choosers. And to be honest I'd rather be a fighting Valkyrie, like you." Catherine admitted as she recounted her childhood.
"When I was but a young girl, I was sickly and had been confined to my bed for a long time and my only company were the books which I read a lot and with fervor, and my favorite genera were the History books. Books which taught the history of the Human civilization and events that date back millennia made felt small. That mere thought alone made my pain and illness seem insignificant, it made them... disappear." Catherine told Susannah who at this point was sobbing at hearing Catherin's tale of her childhood.
"Director Catherine... Be strong! Don't leave us I'll try to find a cure." Susannah said as she cried and holding Catherine's hands in support.
"Dear me! Don't worry it isn't anything big to worry about, it's just some allergies that don't fit to well with the British clime." Catherine told the blond girl.
"Really?! Then I know a great place with a great climate! Once this is over I'll ask Rita and Beverly to take you to Schicksal HQ! There are plenty of Valks over there and the air is always fresh." Susannah told Catherine which caused the latter to let out a chuckle.
"Sounds like quite the plan. I love to see it myself." Catherine told Susannah.
While this was going on Beverly was looking over at the distance with an odd sense of foreboding.
"Is there something wrong Beverly?" Rita asked Beverly as she snapped the American Valkyrie off of her stupor.
"I don't know Rita, I have a strange sense that something big and bad will happen soon enough." Beverly told Rita.
Rita for her part took this warning with outmost seriousness, because she trusted Beverly and when the American had one of her gut feelings, that some thing bad would happen, it normally came to pass.
"I see..." Rita simply said.
"We found it!" Came Susannah's voice as she called out to Rita and Beverly.
"Oh?" Rita simply asked.
"Rita! We found a secret passage underneath the Tor." Susannah exclaimed.
And with that both Rita and Beverly walked towards the scanning device to see that it showed an extensive underground network.
"Would you look at that, You'd think some Victor Charlie enthusiast built it some 50 year ago." Beverly commented.
"Victor Charlie?" Was the question shared by Susanna and Catherine.
"Sorry, the comment may have been misplaced. And as for the meaning of Victor Charlie it is a US military slang taken from the American phonetic alphabet used to call the Vietcong guerrilla fighters." Beverly told Catherine and Susannah.
"Well with the banter hopefully over, shall we begin digging?" Rita asked as she picked two shovels, while throwing one at Beverly.
"Sure." Beverly replied.
A few moments later a plaque reading Hic Jacet Arthurus, Rex quondam, rexque futurus.
"'Here lies Arthur, king once, and king in the future' You think this is his tomb?" Beverly asked Rita.
"It'd appears so Beverly." Rita said as she started opening the crypt's entrance.
"I'm afraid that you'll have to wait for us in the surface, Director Catherine, this place doesn't look safe at all." Rita said.
"I do have to agree with my partner, and besides who knows what curse in this place we may und up like Howard Carter." Beverly said in agreement with Rita.
"While I do believe that the Joke about the curse of King Tut's Tomb is a bit to far, I will say that this is the most impressive finding. An please do let me witness our discovery with my very own eyes." Catherine begged to Beverly and Catherin.
"Well, we..." Rita was about to say as she was caught off by Susannah.
"Please, Miss Rita! I will keep Director Catherine Safe, I promise! I can Also use the scanner down there." Begged Susannah.
"Very well." Rita said as she relented.
And as Susannah and Catherine walked down to the crypt, Rita shot a suspicious look at Catherine.
"How long does this flight of stairs go?" Rita asked Susannah.
"Scans indicate that this passage goes down about 6000 feet deep underground. I am wondering how the people in those ancient days managed to build this place without it falling in on itself." Susannah told Rita.
"If it goes for 1 kilometer and 800 meters, then those that built this tomb, must have access to some sort of Previous Era tech." Beverly said.
"Agreed." Rita said in agreement, when suddenly they reached the end of the stairs.
"Guess this is the end of our descent." Rita commented as they reached the end of the stairs, and arrived in a large cavernous gallery, which the people gaze at it with wonder.
"Woah! This cave is just Huuuuuge! Just look at the Sheer scale of it!" Susanna exclaimed as she looked around the cavern
"Look! What is that?" Asked Catherine as she pointed at a sword that was resting at a distance.
"I have to see this up close." Catherine said as she began to walk towards it.
"Wait, for me Miss Catherine!" Susannah said as she followed behind Catherine.
"This is... the Saccred sword forged by the fae?" Catherine asked as she fixed her gloves.
As Catherine moved to touch the sword Rita noticed and tried to stop her.
"Wait, Director Catherine Don't!" Rita shouted.
And as Catherine touched the Sword's handle the roof fell down separating the four.
"Kyaa! A booby trap! A Huge stone wall got between us!" Susannah said.
"Miss Rita! Are you still there? Kyaaa what should we do now? Are we going to die?!" Susannah exclaimed as she walked at the wall and began beating it.
With Rita and Beverly
"Kid, calm down! everything'll be alright, we will find a way out of this." Beverly said as she tried to calm Susannah down.
"Beverly, wait do you hear that?" Rita said as she grabbed Beverly's shoulder.
Suddenly a cat's purring was heard, causing both Rita and Beverly to look behind and saw the cat that attacked them two days ago.
"Well... it'd appear that we've walked right into an ambush." Beverly commented dryly.
"Meow (We meet again women.) Meow (You were lucky last time, but luck wont save you in this battle.)" Stan said as he walked towards Beverly and Rita.
"Did you miss us, kitty." Rita said in a sweet tone.
"Meow(I've spent 2 days in hellish training, Human!) Meow(I've abstained from every pleasure for this ultimate goal) Meow (This is our way of survival, the law of the alley and the streets!) Meow( I sought the means of breaking my very limit!) Meow(I Prince Stan, shall kill you and feast tonight!)" Stan said as he charged at the Valkyries.
With Susannah and Catherine
"Rita, Beverly? What's going on over there?" Susannah said when suddenly she heard a charging sound.
"What's that noise?" Susannah asked when suddenly something zipped pass her.
And as she turned around Susannah spotted some men dressed in black uniforms that started attacking them, and Susannah stopped in front of Catherine so she could protect her.
"Get behind me, director Catherine! I'll keep you safe! Even though I'm just a B-Ranker... I'm a Fighting Valkyrie of squad Phosdjinns! The best squad ever!" Susanna said as she charged at their assailant with her Bastet's Raging claws.
And as she hacked them to pieces it turned out that they were nothing more but simple automatons.
"That'll teach you to never mess with me!" Susannah exclaimed in victory.
"Everything's alright Director! All hostiles have been neutralized, you are now safe..." Susannah said when suddenly she met a Walther PPK which was being held by Catherine.
"What are you trying to do, Director?" Susannah asked Catherine who looked at her coldly.
"I really appreciate your invitation to visit your HQ. But I'm sorry Susannah..." Catherine said as she sot Susannah.
"I'm afraid that I won't visit Schicksal anytime soon." Catherine said as she looked over at Susannah's bleeding corpse.
