"Rita, Beverly? What's going on over there?" Susannah said when suddenly she heard a charging sound.
"What's that noise?" Susannah asked when suddenly something zipped pass her.
And as she turned around Susannah spotted some men dressed in black uniforms that started attacking them, and Susannah stopped in front of Catherine so she could protect her.
"Get behind me, director Catherine! I'll keep you safe! Even though I'm just a B-Ranker... I'm a Fighting Valkyrie of squad Phosdjinns! The best squad ever!" Susanna said as she charged at their assailant with her Bastet's Raging claws.
And as she hacked them to pieces it turned out that they were nothing more but simple automatons.
"That'll teach you to never mess with me!" Susannah exclaimed in victory.
"Everything's alright Director! All hostiles have been neutralized, you are now safe..." Susannah said when suddenly she met a Walther PPK which was being held by Catherine.
"What are you trying to do, Director?" Susannah asked Catherine who looked at her coldly.
"I really appreciate your invitation to visit your HQ. But I'm sorry Susannah..." Catherine said as she sot Susannah.
"I'm afraid that I won't visit Schicksal anytime soon." Catherine said as she looked over at Susannah's bleeding corpse.
On top of the Tomb
"These Schicksal Valkyries never cease to amaze us with their idiocy. They fell right into my trap without even thinking." Jackal commented as she recalled how Beverly and Rita fell for the trap she had laid for them.
"Rita that S-rank Valkyrie will be dead soon enough." Jackal said as she remembered sending Stan to fight Rita and Beverly.
"And the American Valkyrie, Beverly Tennyson?" Asked Catherine.
"Hmmm... Perhaps she may be of some use in the future, so far she has proven to be quite the interesting specimen." Jackal said recalling the brief yet interesting fight between Beverly and Stan, and the Valkyrie's usage of the Greatsword Blood Dance.
"Still, I will say that your strategies and planning have given us this victory, Lady Jackal. The Solium you've wedged into the fresco was the perfect bait to take the attention of these Valkyries." Catherine sucked up to Jackal.
"In fact Schicksal fell for the bait on the very first day." Said Jackal as she turned to face Catherine.
"However the Data recorded within the Solium are actually authentic, but Schicksal has little to no idea that the legend of the sword was based off of the deeds of our sire." Jackal said.
"Indeed. However, I fear that the Schicksal overseer will not rest until he takes the 2nd Key, perhaps we should relocate it the Key to a far more secure location." Catherine said as Jackal began to walk up to her.
"That will not be necessary. The 2nd Key is in a safe location and far beyond his reach. Besides we have seen how Schicksal's latest equipment have failed to detect it when it was hiding right in plain sight." Jackal told Catherine as she was face to face with the Director.
"Thank you for revealing these secrets to me Lady, I will do whatever it takes to repay your trust." Catherine told Jackal.
"Well said." Said Jackal who shot Catherine right in the heart.
"I am sorry to do this, but you have spoke to Rita and Mrs. Tennyson, Schicksal has your name. Your death will sever their leads and in the end will serve out interest and continued anonymity." Jackal said as she looked at the bleeding Catherine.
"How cruel you are Mrs. Jackal. You think that you are smart, yet you failed to realize that you were simply but a pawn in our plan." Catherine said as as she walked away.
"Heh, How cruel and Heartless you are Mrs. Jackal." Catherine said as if were a joke, though this caught Jackal by surprise as the shot was supposed to be a one shot kill.
"How's this possible the shot was supposed to be lethal." Jackal said with surprise in her tone.
Then Catherine's face began to warp in a liquid metal.
"What's happening to your face?!" Exclaimed Jackal as she saw Catherine turned into Otto, who was wearing a blue coat white gloves, a frilly shirt, a pair of trousers and and brown boots.
"You Schicksal's overseer Otto! How did you manage to do all this?!" Asked Jackal.
And with a smirk on his face Otto spoke.
"Well Mrs. Jackal, My plan simply began when dear Rita and Beverly found that Solium shard imbedded in the fresco, and my operatives are far more perceptive then you give them credit for." Otto told her smugly with a sense of pride.
Flashback
"The Telemetric scans dated its production about 2000 years ago, and as they had said it was too convenient. Though your trap wasn't as cleaver as you'd have liked, though it did present a rare opportunity. The World Serpent is a most clandestine organization, and this was my chance to lure you out. Rita and Beverly are too smart and would attract to much attention. As such I needed a little juicy bait for the serpent to bite on."
"Amber I need a Valkyrie." Otto told his assistance as he looked at the footage that were sent by Rita and Beverly.
"One that isn't to smart and doesn't look to clever." Otto told Amber who simply nodded an pin pointed the individual Valkyries that fitted the criteria, and there was A girl with white hair which were held in twin braids a jacket and black undersuit, and an aiguillette,
And the bottom of the people that fit the criteria was Susannah herself.
"...I've screened the Valkyries that seem to fit your criteria, Lord Otto. Would you like to change your search options?" Asked Amber as she presented Otto her finding.
"No, Amber this one's perfect. And she has digging skills that may come of use in the search for the 2nd Key. Get her to HQ." Otto told his assistant as he maximized Susannah's profile photo.
"As you wish, Lord Otto." Amber did as she was told and send the message for Susannah to arrive to HQ.
Later
"B-rank Valkyrie Susannah of Squad Phosdjinng! Reporting for duty." Suannah said as she saluted Amber who had a blank look.
"I am so proud to serve in our HQ..." Susannah said before Amber interrupted her.
"Head to the medical bay and get a physical exam." Amber told Susannah who had a confused look before she nodded.
"Oh, Okay..." Susannah said as she left for the Medical bay.
"I'm done." Susannah said before she was handed a broom.
"Here, you'll use this to clean the overseer's study and library. We'll keep you here for 10 days." Amber told Susannah who stared blankly.
"Really? That's it?" Susannah asked Amber as if this was some joke being played on her and there were hidden cameras.
"Yes that will be all." Amber responded.
"So I used the genetical, physical and behavioral data to make a doppelganger of this Valkyrie by using my latest Solium Avatar. An I managed to fool everyone, including the charming Rita and Beverly. I then deliberately fell into the Serpent's trap to lure it out." Otto told Jackal with a sense of pride lacing his tone.
As he recalled observing Susannah with his solium doppelganger.
Earlier in the tomb
"The Serpent couldn't resist the delicious bait of a clueless Valkyrie." Otto again bragged as he recalled what happened underground with Catherine.
"Pfft. These tin soldiers proved to be pretty useless. They couldn't take down a meager B-rank Valkyrie. Luckily though I managed to finish the job on my own, and I hope Madam Jackal's little pet sends Rita and Beverly to their maker." Catherine said to herself as she put her pistol back in it's holster.
"To think that I fought so hard to save you! You really are a murderer and a backstabber, Director Catherine." Susannah said as she grabbed Catherine's arm, catching the director by surprise.
"Wha..." Catherine said as golden feathers appeared before her sending her into a trance.
"Hmmm, this woman's mind doesn't have the location of the 2nd key. And it'd appear that she's just another pawn in a much larger game." Otto thought to himself, as he looked into Catherine's memories.
"However... She may prove just as useful." Otto said to himself as he pulled a canister and drew some of Catherine's blood.
"After all, even if the pawn has finished it's uses, it still is useful, especially if it reaches the end of the chessboard." Otto said to himself as he took Catherine's genetic material and implanted onto his Avatar.
And he transformed into Catherine.
"Queening success. Now to meet that careless Lady Jackal." Otto said in Catherine's voice in a haughty tone.
"Lady Jackal... I cordially invite you to the Schicksal HQ as an honored guest. There you shall be provided with an elaboration of my plans. In exchange I will accept any intelligence in regards to the whereabouts of the 2nd Divine Key." Otto said in his usual suave tone, and took a bow like a gentleman.
Though this only caused to anger Jackal..
"I won't be your prisoner, Otto!" Jackal yelled as she raised her pistol and fire two shots into Otto, which bounced off of his Solium avatar.
"Haha! Do stop this lady Jackal, your weapons won't leave a mark on my solium avatar." Said Otto as his avatar reformed itself.
"What's the situation Revenant?" A woman's voice came over a radio as she asked a girl who was around 18 years old and looked looked at Jackal and Otto through a Rifle's scope.
"The situation has taken a drastic turn, Raven. Jackal's cornered by Otto." Revenant informed Raven.
Revenant had white hair that were cut at shoulder length, she had electric blue eyes, and a fair complexion. She was wearing a black armored carapace style graphene armored suit with with red linings a pair of black military boots, the right arm was wrapped in a fingerless glove.
But her left arm was different as it was that of a Honkai the outer part was all black and the outer part was white, and blue lines which lined the arm like lightning.
"Huff, can you help her get out of the corner?" Raven asked Revenant.
"Hmmm, well I could... but isn't the shot reserved for someone, let's 2 S-rank Valkyries? Even then I only have a single shot." Asked Revenant.
"I am aware, but we cannot afford to loose, Jackal to Otto, and even then if were to kill Jackal we would loose the one person that's in charge of our more dubious projects." Said Raven over the radio.
"I guess, but she'll owe me one big time." Said Revenant.
"I know, and I'll make sure she remembers it. Raven out." Raven said as she closed off coms.
"God damnit Jackal, it's either me or Raven cleaning up after all your messes." Revenant muttered to herself as she took aim.
"And here I was trying to save this shot for, Tennyson and Rita." Revenant said as she took aim.
"Now, let's make this shot count... 3rd Divine key." Revenant said as she charged the shot.
